Appearance


Height: 1.70 meters/5'7"

Weight: 120 lbs.

Hair: Orange

Eyes: Golden

Overall: Alice has the average height of 1.70 meters. Her skin colour is rather pale, which comes in connection with her red hair. She has no flaws on her skin apart from some birth marks and a scar on the left side of her abdomen, it is a little red cross. It is easy to hide as it's just below waistline from jeans/skirts and so on. If Alice stays long enough into the sun in the summer, she will get tiny freckles on the bridge of her nose and her cheekbones, but only in summer.

She has long orange hair that reaches around her waist. It is wavy most of the time and she doesn't take much to straight it, most of the time she wears it in a ponytail or braid. Her face is framed by long bangs that she keeps shifting to the left side of her face most of the time. On the left side of her face she has a shorter lock of hair that will always frame her face.

Her face thus contains the summer freckles, and big hazel brown eyes. Her eyes are almond shaped and the colour is difficult to describe as at one point they are green, gold and brown or more brown than green and it looks like it switches all the time. Apart from her mesmerizing eyes, she has a button nose and a strong jaw line. Her face is heart shaped which gives her a bit of a pointy chin but not very much.

She has slender legs and a set of pretty boobs that she actually likes to show off by wearing crop tops and dresses. For clothing she likes to wear easy fitting clothing like skinny jeans, crop tops, t-shirts and so on. Occasionally she wears dresses but always keeps a set of better and comfortable clothing in the dimensional pocket of her magic. She has no trouble with the armour that her profession requires her to wear and even though she would like a sexy version, she understand the need to protect her body from damage.  

RACE PERKS

CALL THE LIGHT:
Seraphim greatly adept with Light-type magic. Their natural alignment to this element comes with great benefits. Seraphim can cast Light-type moves faster than others, which results into a single post cooldown reduction on all Light-type spells from the user.

SUSTAIN THE LIGHT:
Besides being able to cast Light-type spells faster, they are also capable of using their mana more efficiently when utilizing Light-type spells. Seraphim receive a 20% mana cost reduction on all Light-type spells from the user.

SMITE THE LIGHT:
Not only do seraphim utilize Light-type magic greater than anyone else naturally by casting it faster and paying less mana, but it also because their Light-type spells are naturally stronger. Seraphim receive a single rank increase on all Light-type spells from the user whether it is Offensive or Defensive.

GRACE FROM ABOVE:
Seraphim are blessed with something called Grace, which is highly affected by their behavior. Seraphim receive a 20% discount on purchasing spells and 20% discount on training spells. Other than that, they're entirely immune to Light-type magic due to their Grace.

SOAR THE SKIES:
Seraphim are capable of materializing white feathered wings on their back. It costs 100 mana per turn and allows the user to soar up to 15 meters. Its cooldown is 3 posts after deactivation. When losing their Grace, these white feathered wings become entirely black.

FROM THE SKIES:
Their natural alignment with Light comes with its drawbacks as well. The same way Light functions against Nature in battle, it affects them as well. As a result, seraphim suffer extra damage from Nature-type moves, which is increased by two ranks in damage.

DESCENT FROM ABOVE:
When a seraphim acts in a way that causes innocent people to get hurt they lose their Grace perk. The color of their Light-type magic changes color and becomes pitch black. Other than that, the wings they'll materialize will become black as well indicating that they have fallen and lost their Grace.


PERSONALITY



Personality: Alice is an open minded person which gives her the ability to judge things in a way that she can understand, wether it be within the justice of the country of Fiore or without.

Alice is someone that keeps developing herself to evolve in the situations that she is in at that particular moment. It started with being a survivor after she lost her memory at the age of eighteen and made her wary, cautious, daring, wrong and a coward. Because she had to live on the streets and make money for herself in those dark days, she started to steal and think of plans to get more money, because she was eighteen, she had no longer the opportunity to stay in the orphanage where she was dropped as an eight year old child. The streets made her hard and she had to grow up faster in the process to understand what she had to do to avoid getting caught in the act of pickpocketing. This also made her more of a coward because she was constantly afraid of getting caught, especially in the beginning. She rather made the decision to flee than to fight for it. Since joining the Rune Knight she still has the idea to flee for the impossible jobs as she had sometimes proven but she no longer enjoys that idea as she is trying to train herself in getting stronger and less of a coward. Which means that she tries to fight for it instead of to flee. However in the idea that she used to think before she did, she now does before she thinks, even with giving her opinion. Which makes her honest but blunt.

Now that she changed from her Phantom Lord Guild to the Rune Knights, a lot of things had become different because she tries very hard to be a better version of herself, however with her past there comes insecurity that she tries to hide, moments that she thinks back about stealing and running away. She tries to hide her insecurity by holding on to a perfect vision of herself which makes her somewhat arrogant if you don't know her that well. Because of trying to be more brave instead of the coward she used to be and because she believes she has a better vision on the world than two years ago, she believes to be more intelligent. She became a part of the world thanks to being involved in the world as a Knight and by being able to read, something she loves to do. With her ability to challenge herself comes also the temperament that she gets when she find people 'stupid', 'dumb' or simply annoying in her own eyes. As striving towards an ideal version of herself, she tries to fit into every way and always being perfect. Which is a hard goal and which also gave her the dislike for crying especially in public spaces.

Likes:

  • Money: Alice has been able to let go of her love for money but she still likes it. The original reason was that she didn't have it and could steal it to get everything she wants. Now it changed a bit to that she likes doing job and get paid for it, so she could afford her life style of buying whatever she wants, if it is armour, weapons, books or nice places to stay: money is important to support her in her way of living.
  • Sweets: Alice loves a lot of food, she isn't a picky eater but if she has to pick something, she definitely loves sweet flavoured food. Which is wide ranged in sorts of sweet flavoured, she likes strawberries to sweet bread and so on. It doesn't really matter as long as it is sweet. Even though it is still a dangerous job: you could wake her up in the middle of the night for sweet flavoured food.
  • Books: Alice is an active girl. She likes to hike, fight, train and do jobs. However she is also someone that would like to stretch herself on a bed or sofa and enjoy a good book. She always has one in her backpack or close with her when she is travelling or out on a job or lounging at a cafe. She has a various amount of books from different writers that she likes. She likes to read classics the most, she had even named her first companion after Ophelia from Shakespeare.
  • Weapons: Her love of weapons is a bit obvious for a former Requip mage. But she could as well go shopping in a smithy and look around as if she goes to a mall. She takes good care of her own weapons and is always looking for new versions. She wants to get better with every sort of weapon but only so much she could hold on to and train with.
  • Her own Family: Not having an extreme good relationship with her own parents or her twinsister, she was never a real family being until she got her own two children. She considers her husband and her children as well as her companions as her own little family.


Dislikes:

  • Crowds: Being  a girl who was dumped and kicked out of an orphanage because of her age (which she did understand) and running away from authorities when she was younger, Alice isn't a big fan of crowds. Thanks to her job as a Rune Knight she does get used to it a lot better but she still isn't very comfortable with it, especially not when she is alone without someone around her that she knows.
  • Insects: Although Alice tries to avoid most of the time to be "A girl about it" she can't help but dislike insects very much. It doesn't matter which form or size, the only she can stand from far away are butterflies and than again: from far away. She definitely doesn't mind if insects go around their daily business, hoping to flowers, sitting on windows but as soon as she gets to close, she would either step on them or try to get away because Alice and insects is not a combination at all.
  • Chocolate: Surprisingly for a sweet tooth like Alice, she doesn't like Chocolate. She likes it on specific days when she really is in the mood for chocolate or as a topping on waffles or pancakes but only with a very light layer for the flavour and again only if she is in the mood for it. Most of the time she would just try to ignore it as best as she could but she would never deny herself chocolate covered strawberries. It's obvious about the strawberries at that moment.
  • Crying: As someone who strives to be perfect, she can't be seen crying in general. As she does not believe that she has the right to cry, she will not cry for herself at perhaps any point. No matter her past and what her sister did to her, the times that she cried was for her companion and her loved ones.


Motivations:

  • Get her memory back: As Alice suffers from amnesia since the age of eighteen she tries to get back her memory, no matter the horrid story behind it and the things her family has done to her to get rid of her. She just wants to know who she was and who she is now and how to get to a point to accept what all happened to herself is a part of developing herself. She tries to find people that understand her past and can explain things to her within the reason of again trying to understand what happened and to the reason why she lost her memory.
  • Become a better version: After joining the Rune Knights, Alice understood that the version of herself before that was not the perfect edition that is needed to keep up with the job she is doing as well as not doing anything at all. This is why she goes on jobs for many at days and to develop herself and remake herself from time to time and get better in the abilities that she wants and in the emotions that she wants to control. She doesn't want to make a mask, she wants to be the Alice Baskerville or Alice Eventide that is accepted.


Fears:

  • Amnesia: She is afraid that she might never find her memory again or that she might lose her new made memories at one point again. With flashbacks that are vague and scary to her meanly in dreams, Alice has contstant reminders of her amnesia. Apart from that she keeps a diary always with her to remind herself of new adventures that happened in the past two years and she reads often, afraid to forget.
  • Heights:Alice isn't good with Heights. The fear must come from somewhere but she can't remember and she doesn't care. She just avoids the places where she doesn't need to go.
  • Death: After the death of her sister, she realized that she could die in an instant as well, which is something she definitely doesn't want and is afraid too. This in combination with her goal to find her memory, she can't die before understanding everything.
  • Death of her family:
    her family is her everything and she would protect them till the bitter end in case it is necessary. The idea that something can happen to the children or her husband brings fear to Alice, she only tries to not think about it at all times.

HISTORY AND PLOTS



HISTORY



Alice was born together with her twin sister Lacie. She never was the perfect one. She was the rebellious one of the two. She was born into a strict religious family where her rebellious actions and her dirty cheeks, nose and clothing wasn't appreciated. Her family always talked about a curse of twins and that's why her mother was left in a tower with just her and Lacie.

Alice her mother was a strict church go-er and couldn't bear that one of her children was cursed (which was a family whisper and had nothing to do with the religion of the Illuminin).
The curse was about one of the twin being a host for the devil himself. To avoid that there was a whole ritual in the tower and Alice was thrown into the abyss. The rite was done by her own mother, her two aunts (of three) and her own sister Lacie. Or so they thought, they planned to throw the girl out of the tower window and into an open rift that would become the abyss. However Alice was secretly saved by her third aunt. Being left into an orphanage and still being a secret for the rest of the family, Alice was raised. Her mother and sister (and aunts) thinking that she died never went to look for her. After the rite with to get rid of her daughter, Alice her mother stopped going to church and joined a cult that had a big effect on the life of the rest of the Baskerville/Maelstorm family.

During the fall and the ritual of the abyss which was performed on an early stage in her life she had a damaged brain that would take more and more damage until she would completely forget what happened in the past when she turned sixteen, or was it eighteen. She can't remember.

However her life since her sixteenth is perfect since she could do whatever she wanted and she learned from the stranger whom raised her how to pickpocket and when she was dumped again, she simply knew how to continue her life by stealing money and the like to get her clothing and food.

PLOT LINE



Amnesia

When Adelaide was but a child she got the surname from her father´s mother, while her twinsister got the name of her mother´s mother. Adelaide and Elisabeth Eventide but for short Alice and Lacie Eventide. Her mother in a strange obsession with Illumin was told a vision that one of her children would behave like a cursed child and become one. She believed that her royal and faithful child Lacie would never come to be a harmful creature and blamed her first born child Alice. With her husband trying to refrain her from making a decision and believing in a vision like this. While Richard tried to protect both his children, he had to leave their side to come back with a better strategy, unfortunately too late to save his eldest daughter, he went to pick up Elisabeth and brought her to a nunnery, where she was raised by the nuns, because her mother had refused for her to be raised by a man.

To get rid of her cursed child, she went to ask for the help of the church and perform a ritual with her four sisters and youngest twin daughter, to get rid of the eigth year old Alice. However this poorly performed ritual backfired, one of her sisters betrayed her and saved the child, bringing her to a orphanage many years later. With the backfiring of the ritual there came a curse upon them and the three sisters became terribly ill, while Lacie got a small side effect of this curse, she was too young to understand. Having thought that her eldest was possessed with the devil, she called upon a plague to kill her but the plague killed them, but not before Rowena could write down that she knew that she made a mistake, she had seen the glance in the eyes of Lacie, she had picked the wrong child.

The ritual still affected Alice but that affect took a couple of years and another horrible experience to trigger her amnesia, as the orphanage burned down during an incident that Alice had nothing to do with, she actually pushed someone to get out in her own selfish haste and that person fell into the flames and died. Her mind went out to protect herself as a child and gave her the amnesia. It was shortly before her eighteenth birthday and the orphanage released her, telling her that she was on her own after that. Which was a logical decision based on her age and training that she had gone through by herself. At this point she had taken two years to develop the ability of requip magic. Afraid what she might do and changing into a dark guild member, they pushed Alice away. With no knowledge of herself or the world around her, but what was taught her in the month following her accident, she fell into the trap of wanting to belong somewhere and joined a dark guild without knowing, becoming a part of Phantom Lord. This took her two years, doing whatever she wanted, going wherever she wanted and considering jobs. When she bumped into her cousin Selena, who told her a part of her past as well as the idea of Phantom Lord. She tried to leave as soon as possible.
