Maybe it wasn’t so bad to be in Magnolia, but the world wouldn’t stop turning if Alice would stay in Magnolia forever and besides: it would be rather boring in the end. She had better things to do but maybe, for today she would be able to look for a job. But at first: she needed to get out of bed. She wanted to turn on her stomach but that wasn’t very comfortable anymore. This made her make a whiny sound. She had never been like that; she would have never done something like that before this whole ordeal with a little peach and everything. She frowned, they still didn’t think of a name but there was no time for that today. Oh well there was enough time but not at this moment, at this moment she wanted to get out of bed and perhaps shower. This already gave her the shivers so she turned on her back and tried to sit up straight. This still went easy, wait until a couple of weeks further along. With a heavy sigh she managed to get her legs out of bed, which was unfortunate. The feeling was cold against her bare legs and she decided that she had to be quick to get warmer.

When she stood up from her bed, she noticed a yellow head from under the table just getting up and looking at her a little sleepy. She found it rather cute, it was not often that she saw her companion Jupiter in a state like that; mostly he was already awake and watching over her. She looked at the companion that was curled up next to Jupiter but Hecate was still asleep and didn’t seem to want to wake up anytime soon. It was rather early in the morning, she believed that the sun was probably still rising, which explained why the room was still rather dark. She got up from the bed completely and walked towards the bathroom door, which was immediately next to her side of the bed. She looked at her reflection and went to sit on the little stool that was in there. She untangled her hair from the braid that she used and started to brush her hair while she looked in her reflection. She liked to see the golden ring on her ring finger. Strange idea to be engaged but it still made her happy every time she looked at it. She wondered what to do at the moment when she had decided to look for jobs, official jobs, no ghosts asking her to do things like finding teddy bears. Although she had immediately thought about not leaving the little ghost girl alone. It was probably something the little peach had made her do and she stared at her stomach for a few seconds, before continuing to brush her long orange coloured hair. She should figure something out. That’s when the door opened and Jupiter walked inside, she smiled at the Jolteon and watched how he placed his head on her right knee.

”We should find something interesting to do.” She said to him as she scratched him softly behind his ear. Funny how things had gone, how at first he had seem to hate her, electrocute her. Which made her figure out that she was pregnant. And how they found each other again weeks ago. For a second she took a deep breath and gasped, she had lost Ophelia here. Alice had cried for days and look at her now, it was more her companions that took care of her than the other way around. She finished brushing her hair and scratched Jupiter a little more behind his ear before he dropped his head and went to drink some water.

Alice was done with her hair and simply decided to shower later today and now to only wash her face with some face mask and bind her hair together in a ponytail before she would wash the mask off and get dressed. She picked up a pair of skinny jeans and a minty green t-shirt. She grabbed her leather jacket and slung it over her right arm and opened the door for her companions to leave the room. She headed downstairs towards the kitchen of the Bed & Breakfast where she bumped into one of Clara her sons. She greeted the son and went to grab a coffee. She needed first to think about what to eat, in the end she grabbed a couple of fruit items that she had bought before to make a fruit salad for her and enjoy the coffee. She would get the dishes for Hecate and Jupiter before she would start to eat and made sure they ate outside so she could be okay with the smell. Though she lately had no gag reflexes when she smelled it; she didn’t want to risk her luck. Which there wasn’t many off; so she was prepared.

Alice sat herself down on a chair to finish her coffee and fruit salad and wondered if she eat enough considering all things. But she didn’t feel hungry. She remained seated until Hecate and Jupiter came back in and she would clean up their bowls as well as her own. As soon as she was done with the dishes she would grab her leather jacket and headed outside. It would be a nice refreshing walk of 30 minutes and by now the sun was fully shining and the wind from a couple of days ago had calmed down. She smiled because of the weather and the playing of Hecate and Jupiter. Apparently they were happy to be in Magnolia as well, which was easy to consider for Hecate. She clearly had disliked Worth Woodsea. Alice hummed a little and zipped up her leather jacket to hide the tightness of her t-shirt, thank god her jacket still fitted perfectly. She followed the path towards Magnolia city centre and looked at the changing off the leaves and the leaves on the ground. Where Jupiter jumped into most of the time; this made Alice laugh most of the time and gave her a better mood.

She walked onto towards the city and simply looked left and right; enjoying to be back in town. When she walked close to the park she noticed Guard Captain Devon, she had done a couple of jobs for him so she went over to great him and ask how things were going. ”Well after Era and Hargeon, I want to do something you know. Protect Magnolia from those bastards and make sure that people don’t have to be afraid.” the man said, rubbing his chin a bit and looking at her, ”Heard you were lieutenant now, miss Baskerville.” She didn’t like the title miss but soon enough it would be something else. She ticked against her ring without correcting the man, ”What about I give you a job? Would you take it? How about you try to round up some recruits?” She eyed him surprised but on the other hand after the two disasters of Era and Hargeon, it was the least she could do. So she nodded, ”Sure why not captain.” And with that she turned her heel and went further into the park to find recruits for the knights and guards.

She first went to sit at a bench and observe, she was never that well with strangers and she absolutely didn’t like the idea of talking to them, but she had already said yes. Besides it couldn’t harm people, knights and guards were probably needed. After sitting there for around twenty minutes, she decided to approach a group of friends, they were with three and not much younger than she was if she guessed correctly. She greeted them nicely and wondered how she would approach them with such a heavy conversation, but it was easy, they were friendly and she simply told them that she was looking for people that would want to work for the guards of Magnolia. At first they stared at her, one of the girls simply muttered that she would never be able to do something, and Alice told her that that wasn’t true and used herself as subject to ask the girl what she thought her function was, it was quite funny to tell them she was a lieutenant. Something she didn’t want to tell too often, you never knew where the people were really from. She had seen a couple of Fairy Tail mages here and simply avoided them but she got the girl to sign up and her friend, the other girl said no, which was fine. But she had at least a good start, so she walked on, followed by her two companions. She spoke to a guy, who laughed and called her stupid and dishonest because girls like her could never be part of the guards or Rune Knights. She was sure he regret talking to her as Jupiter electrocuted the man shortly after. She wasn’t very picky, she tried to make conversations to see if people were mages or none-mages, what their interests were and so on before she would ask them what they thought of joining the guards or the knights.

Which were very interesting answers, it also gave her the opportunity to see how the people thought of the groups as she wanted to know that after the incident in Hargeon especially. Not everything was positive but she didn’t take it personally as she was the only Knight that had showed up in time. It was not her fault, every muscle in her body knew that.

She asked a couple of more people but when it started to get dark, she didn’t want to bother people anymore and went outside of the park to find Guard Captain Devon again. She had not talked too much about the Rune Knights, it had not been her job after all. She had expected the Guard Captain to be in front of the park, where she had last spotted him but of course not, he was basically missing. So while holding on to the list that she had made, she was trying to find him before finally asking Jupiter to find the Guard Captain and he was in some pub waiting for his dinner to arrive. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and stared at the man, great he wasn’t even doing anything. With a loud noise, she slammed the list on the table, ”Here are your recruits and enjoy your dinner.” but she said it with a cold tone in her voice because she absolutely didn’t like the way this was going. The man looked at her as if he had committed a crime, which was something completely different but he apparently had no poker face. ”Don’t worry, I will see how it goes when I return to Magnolia, you better work hard Captain.” She was definitely not in the position to belittle a captain but she didn’t think it was the right way, she had expected him to find and recruit people himself. However she started to believe that this man had sat on his ass and drank beer all day without recruiting a single person. She shook her head and headed out of the bar to head back to the bed & breakfast. This meant that she had to leave Magnolia before she would be able to check out, what had she said. She rolled her eyes considering her words and looked for Jupiter and Hecate. Once they found her, the three of them headed back to the bed & breakfast. Who knows where she would go, maybe she could ask Kon to go to Orchidia together! That sounded like a good plan and she had liked Orchidia the last time she was there.

After walking all day, she surely wanted to return to the Bed & Breakfast, surprisingly she wanted to take a shower and relax for the rest of the evening. And food! She needed to eat something. She started to walk a little faster and Jupiter and Hecate hurried out in front of her, apparently they felt the same. She couldn’t wait to sit and relax.
