Kaito

The halls seemed to twist and turn a bit more than that had before he wonders if it is from the god being dead now or if this place was always like this his mind was a bit of a maze as well from the things he had seen and heard as of late and he figured he will be fine but there were so many things that happened and was going on that his mind was reeling as he kept walking as it was nearly an endless hall to him till he walks into a different room that looks like it had alchemy done in it.

Revy looks at them and she sighed a bit. "I think Kaito should replace me I am holding him back there is no two ways about it…" she didn’t meet their eyes as she was too embarrassed to even look them in the eyes as she knows she is falling very short of being a strong partner to Kaito and Kaito needs someone stronger to help him bring out his full potential.

Yuurei

Yuurei and Renji would hear Revy’s words and they would look at her as they shook their head. Renji felt bad to hear that, but he didn’t think Kaito would do something like that. In the end, they would always be partners, and he knew that. It was the same thing with him and Yuurei.

“I don’t think he’ll replace you Revy, but in the slim chance that he ever does, then we will always be there for you.” He said to her as he knew that would never happen.

“Shoot, Renji is right, Kaito wouldn’t replace you, you always be his partner.” He said as he would move after Kaito, so they didn’t get lost.

He wondered what was going to happen now. They had defeated the thing that was sealed within the fortress, but they haven’t found the lost pages. This was annoying, but he had a good feeling about it this time.

Kaito

Kaito looks at the researchers notes and random books thrown around he wonders if this is where they made all of the other things they used for the rituals. He was unsure what they were even researching looks like a weapon or magic of some sort that wasn’t going to be very nice for the user or the person hit by it and he knows that this means he is going to have to destroy the research probably so someone else doesn’t find it and try to use it and he wonders what and why someone would want to make this or figure out how to make such a thing it makes no sense to him that some people do this kind of thing was it to protect something or was it more to take over something no matter how hard he tried it didn’t come to him he just had to accept it and move on.

Revy wasn’t so sure on all of that she had been failing him a lot or getting in the way a lot lately so their words didn’t really touch her soul or her heart it was like a tiny bandage.

Yuurei

Renji would look over at Revy and he would just stand by her. He would rub the back of his head because he wasn’t sure what to truly tell her.

“Yuu is stronger than me that I don’t even do anything. He hasn’t abandoned me. Plus, I know he won’t kick me out of Paradise Dawn if he found another companion to help him in battle. I know he would come to me to hang out and talk to.” He said to Revy as he was also useless.

Yuurei would keep moving and he would enter the room where Kaito had entered. He would see a bunch of books thrown around and he wondered where he was going to start. He would move through the area and he would pick up the book. The light mage would go through it all as he was hoping to help Kaito find what he was looking for.

Kaito

Revy just looks him dead in the eyes. "Your master is also at his peak, a guild master and has done it all pretty much." She knows that is an excuse and she shouldn’t have said it but she feels that way to her. She feels like Kaito relays on her too much and she isn’t really up to fighting or being able to support Kaito at the level she needs to be doing it at and maybe she should be looking at helping him replace her so that he isn’t held back from it all while having to handicap himself by having her slowing him down constantly.

Kaito is far too focused in what he is doing to ease drop on them and he is wondering if maybe this is where some magic items were made or if this was just a place that people toyed with the ideas of them that later got made what could some of this writing mean.

Yuurei

Renji would hear her words and he would chuckle a bit. It seemed like she was trying to throw a jab at him. He knew he wasn’t strong, and he knew that he would never be able to catch up to him. It was funny because he felt that he was stronger than Yuurei at one point when they met. Still, it would seem like she was in a bad mood, and he would just walk slowly making sure that he didn’t leave her behind and at the same time not be next to her.

Yuurei would continue to look through the books in this room. It was interesting to see what he had found. It would seem like this was something to be used to summon something, but then at the same time, there was another thing used to bind anything that was summoned. He wondered if that was what had happened to the god.

Kaito

Revy isn’t even sure what she is talking about or if in the end it even really matters like why should Kaito care about her she doesn’t do anything for him and hasn’t heLped him further anything she is just a failure and Kaito shouldn’t have to be stuck with her as a useless companion when other had more useful ones and things that were needed so that they can grow and mature and help lift him to another level and she sits in a corner of the new room and she sulks a bit.

Kai finds records of human experiments and he wonders what race was doing it was it the elves, the dwarves or humans themselves doing them it is hard to tell as it was a spotty record. Maybe this is how Demi-humans were made or produced. He feels something in this place that he needs to see and to understand but that is just a strong gut feeling he is having.

Yuurei

Renji would look over to Revy and it would seem like she was in a down mood. It seemed like her getting knocked out and missing everything that had happened after really affected her. He would walk over to her and he was trying to figure out what to say.

“If you want we can train together in the future. We have to catch up to these two, so about it?” He asked her wondering how she would feel about what he had said.

Yuurei was continuing searching around. It would seem like they were probably getting somewhere. He was hoping they would find a lost page here. It would be weird if they didn’t, but they might learn something new about what used to be hidden in the fortress. The light mage would continue to look through these books though. His hope would be something would fall out if and it would be something he could give Kaito.

Kaito

She doesn't hear him anymore just her own thoughts and she has a dark aura around herself and it is as if she is looking through him and not at him. She keeps looking toward where Kaito is standing and the aura starts to move in a wave around her body but her eyes stay fixated on where Kaito is.

He kneels down and he solves a puzzle on the side of the desk and a hidden compartment open to more papers and books and he looks through them and he sits as he reads them not having any clue that Revy was staring at him or was covered in a dark aura. He is looking at what seem to be cyphers of some sort he wonders if these were the codes for messages to find the hidden worlds he might not even know about as of yet, he needs to see if these will be of any use to him at this moment.

Yuurei


Renji would look at Revy and it would seem like she was in her own world. He would sigh with disappointment because he didn’t think this would happen to her. He would start looking around the area as he figured he would help the guys while keeping an eye out on Revy. He wasn’t sure what was going through her head, but he wanted her to be careful.

“Kaito I think something is wrong with Revy.” He would say this because he figured Kaito would understand what was going on.

Yuurei would continue researching now, but there was nothing he could find about the lost pages. It would seem like things were getting weird. He was sure that they would find the pages here, but was it a lie? He wasn’t too sure about that, and he would continue to search for it as he hoped Kaito would get what he was looking for.

Kaito

He would hear the male exceeds voice and he would look away from the book toward Revy and he would open a portal and flick her in the forehead making a seal marking on her forehead that expels the darkness that is swallowing her up. "It is this place not really her it messes with your insecurities, she puts up a strong front cause as you know she is the glue that keeps and has kept many a thing going and you and I looking forward as she is the leader type, the one that shoulders the burdens of her friends to help them through anything to help them win. She is still a living thing and she has her own fears of failure and not being good enough and that god drained her emotionally as well as knocked her out." He pats Revy's head then he pets Renji's head as the portal to Revy closed, and Kaito moves his head signaling Renji to take his work with him and team up with Revy cause he knows Revy will need the back up.

Revy walks forward toward them and she looks very embarrassed and not sure how to even start saying that she was sorry for acting like she was toward Renji. She sits with a old book that looks like it had seen far better days that might have been brighter then what it looked like in here. She hopes to prove herself to them and she was not going to let herself be beat down and not come up with anything in exchange, she needed to make sure that she can prove it no matter what till she passes out from exhaustion.

Yuurei

Renji would hear Kaito speak to him. It would seem like this place was eating away at her doubts. That was sad, and he would look at her and he was happy Kaito was able to hear him and help Revy out. It wouldn’t take long, but Renji would do something which caught his attention. He would walk over to him, and he would take the work that he was trying to give to Renji. He would grab it and he would move over to Revy with a huge smile on his face.

Renji would hear her apologize and he would rub the back of his head. He didn’t need that from her and he would put the work in front of her and he would sit down.

“I got this work I need help with Revy. You think you can help see if we can find something within these papers.” He said to her hoping she would do just that.

Yuurei was doing his work as he was helping out his friend.

Kaito

Revy nodded her head and she moved to help Renji with what he was doing. She hopes that Renji doesn't see her differently now that he has seen her crack like that and become depressed a bit as she was not really use to what she was going through while she was here.

Kaito turns back and he finds some more things to look through as he needed to get this page so they can get out of here and he wonders if that was really what they needed to be doing right now or if they just needed to be getting out of this hell hole that seemed to just be consuming bits of their souls and making it so hard on them and their partners to the point his snapped and he had nearly snapped after the crystal had drained him and took his arm from him for a short pit of time, he had nearly forgot he was still wearing his armor and his weapon from when they were equipped upon himself.

Yuurei

Renji was glad to see that she was willing to help him out. He would start looking through the paper that Kaito had given to him right now. He was enjoying the teamwork between me and her and hoped that they would be able to find the pages before they left the place.

“I wondered if Yuu found a page.” He said as he would look over at his friend.

Yuurei had been looking around and he had no clue that he had a page in his pocket. Still, he wasn’t looking for the lost page for himself anymore as he was trying to help Kaito out. He knew that his friend didn’t live in the North, so if he found it for him, then later he could find one for himself.

“We will look a little bit more and if we can't find anything we will head to the south and come back here later.” He said to Kaito.

Revy would lean against him a bit as she helped him with the project and she was happy that she could be of some use to the man even if she had been being a little sad sack not to long ago she is glad that she be of some use to her friends and that they trusted enough in her to still allow her to help them after that.

Kaito looks to Yuurei and he nodded as he was tired as well as he needed a bath and he bet they were all getting hungry as well "Yeah that sounds like a good idea Yuurei." He keeps looking in the dusty old books for anything that could lead him down the right path and hopefully find him the piecee of paper that has been evading him this whole time as this is being more of a task then the mage had thought about it being to begin with and it has lead them to far more trouble than it had seemed to be worth as well.

Yuurei

Renji would feel her leaning on him, and he would look at her with a smile on his face. He didn’t mind it at all as he was happy that she was getting back to normal. He would continue to go throw the paper as he was making sure that everything was going just fine. He would move through them as he was wondering what he would be doing at the end of all of this.

Yuurei kept going through everything that he was finding, and he would come out short with everything. They were just research and nothing more. He was even trying to see if these things would leave him to a page, but it would come out blank. He would look over to Kaito as it would seem like he was fine with them leaving this place. That was good to hear, but for now, they were going to keep searching and hopefully find something.

"Cause this place just stinks of death and darkness." He makes a face like it is a nasty scent. He keeps at what he is doing and he wonders where the next stop is that can lead them to the answers they are after or if this might be getting close to the end of the road for them he hopes that they can complete the task they have ahead of them but he can't really have high hopes for it as he has found one page so far so it isn't like he was netting the best luck or results and he would not blame Yuurei if he would want to go different ways to see if they can find pages cause he has just been holding the man back he feels.

Kaito knows he is worth more then he acts and that he isn't actually holding anyone back but he figures it is just his bad luck that is to blame fore the troubles he is having in finding these pages.

Yuurei

Yuurei would move over to another place in the room they were in. It would seem like the stuff on the floor wasn’t getting them anywhere. It bothered him, but he had determined that they would find something. He made his way to another place in the room, and he would pick up a pile of books. He would move himself to a chair and he would sit down as he would go through them. He was hoping taking his time and being patient right now would help them find something that they were missing.

Renji was glad that Revy was kind of back to herself. Still, it seemed like they did need to get out of the place or else it would consume them with doubts. It was not something he was looking forward to seeing, and he kept looking through the work that was given to him beforehand.

Kaito stops and sits on the floor and opens portal and starts taking other things in the room and having them get dropped through the portals and he smiles and he watches the stuff go past his eyes as this was faster and maybe like the first page he got the answer to finding it so they can leave sooner rather than later cause he knows the longer they are here the more chance that the seal he put on Revy’s forehead might break and he start to feel the pains of this place again and he can feel the shadow people watching him as he does these things. They seemed to watch with amazement unsure of how he is doing that trick and if it was normal to see such a thing as his friends didn’t really seem to react that much to him doing that he looked like he was just having fun while the stuff flys past him.

Revy was doing her best as she keeps looking through and looking at the pages.

Yuurei

Yuurei would think that after they had taken out the god that the thing that was haunting this fortress would disperse. It seemed like he was wrong, or it was going to take time before the fortress would just be that. Still, he didn’t have time to be bothered when it came to that. He kept moving through the pages carefully as he was going through it. He would look over to Kaito and he would see what he was doing with his magic. It would make him laugh when he saw this as it was not something he would do with his magic.

Still, he would go back to the books as he was doing things his own way.

Renji was looking through everything that was in front of him, but for some reason he felt like he couldn’t get anything. He would look over to Revy and it would seem like she was also doing her best right now. He was hoping that they would be able to find the lost page in this room.

Kaito lays back on the floor and the portals shift with him and he reads while he is laying down and looking at the other things that sail past as he was not someone that was as easily impressed by a lot of the things he saw in these books and he figures that he was on a roll and things will have to just come to him and have a way of winning them that are many things that come happen with many different results that could just fall into his lap and he might even be able to find the page just randomly and then become a god himself and take out fiore like a monster set loose into the world.

Revy isreaches into her bag and pulls out drinks and snacks then looks to Renji. "You hungry or thirsty?" she offers him some of the stuff she had just pulled out so that she didn’t feel bad eating and drinking in front of him.

Yuurei

Yuurei would close the book that he was reading. It would seem like it didn’t have anything to do with the lost page. He would look through it once again before he closed it and there was nothing hidden within it. He would shake his head with that as he would take another book. He would go through this one as he was hoping that this one would give out a better result than the last one. He was hoping that Kaito had a better chance than him right now.

“Yeah we’re going to leave out of this place soon.” He mumbled to himself as he kept looking.

Renji was working and he would look over to Revy as she had asked him if he was hungry or thirsty. He was about to deny the offer, but his stomach would rumble.

“I guess I’m both. Thank you.” He said to her as he took what she offered.

Revy smiles and she gives them willingly and gets close to his ear. "There is a bit of my love in every bit~" this was a lie as it was Kaito that made the treats and drinks that they used and she was more saying it to tease Renji a little and see his reaction.

Kaito keeps his looking and doesn’t listen to yuurei on the leaving soon he has to keep at it and find this page if it kills him cause he needs to find it as fast as he can and he has no idea if it will ever be with it and that was not impossible that every thing will fall through and be total shit and make him a sad panda when that happens but he wonders where and even if he will be able to do it and at this turn it was looking like he was going to fall short of making it all the way to the finish.

Yuurei

Renji would start eating what she had given him, and while he was doing this he would hear her words. It was good, but it made him blush to hear those words. He was enjoying them though because he hadn’t eaten in a while. Still, it would seem like she wanted him to react to her words and she would get what she wanted.

“That’s good to hear, it’s really good.” He said to Revy as he would drink some water right after he swallowed his food.

“Are you going to eat?” He asked her wondering if she would take a break to get something in her stomach.

Yuurei would keep working on the book that was in his hand right now. He was coming to an end of it, and he knew this would be a disappointment as well. Still, how long would it take for them to find another lost page in this place?

Revy eats as well and drinks this was it was a good time to take a break from all the working and the trouble they have been through and see it through but she has a few worries about what might be around the corner that would get her killed if she wasn’t out of her still as she was in a dark place and he saw through some things but kaito still seems to be out of it a bit.

Kaito keeps using his magic to speed read through things and to look for a page of all of the last few there were left over and he wonders if he is going to get lucky or if he will end up getting a bitter sweet departure from this place as they did good things here but he still failed the main objective of coming here and he wonders what the point of it was if he failed in the end and this marked two places in a row he was going to come up empty handed.
