Yuurei


The Seraphim had been going through a lot with everything that was happening in Talaz Lagaar. It would seem like the people there, needed to be helped and cured, but he wasn’t sure if he would be able to be the one to do that. He decided to see what the other parts of the island were about. He figured that there was more to this than he could physically see.

He was on top of one of the largest buildings that were on the island as he was looking around the area.

It was a beautiful day, but on this island, this day meant nothing as it was still a horrid situation happening. Renji was on Yuurei’s shoulder as the young Exceed was looking around the area. He was a bit sad that he couldn’t see Revy for quite some time, but he knew there must have been a good reason behind it. Yuurei could see that there was something concerning him, and he would pat him on his head.

“Seems like you’re overthinking things Renji. Let’s see what we can find today. I can only imagine that we might be able to find out who got everybody on this island sick.” He said to Renji.

Renji would shrug as if he didn’t care. Yuurei would shake his head as he was looking for a good place to head to.

Kaito

Kaito having no real sense of direction was displeased with his lack of being able to find his friend and companion after so long and he wonders why there is even a point to keep looking here as he is at this point sure that she probably got her self to somewhere nice and just found a place to die and find her peace. Kaito didn't want to think that way but this was becoming an issue for him that was not just going to go away for him as he was not going to probably ever know what had happened to the friend that was usually right by his side and running along beside him on missions with her cheerful smile and her nagging and her excitement to met and face new challenges.

Kaito feels that he must have let her down or in some way made her feel like she wasn't good enough to travel and be by his side or that some how he hadn't wanted her and that wasn't true. Kaito kicked some junk around to try and cool his head as he was not happy with what and how this had happened had he made her feel that she couldn't speak to him for her to have had to have left a note instead of saying it to his face.

Yuurei

Yuurei kept looking around the place where he was, and it wouldn’t take long before he would see someone. This person looked upset about something, and the Seraphim would gain more focus than he had before. The person he was looking at looked familiar from where he was. It was then he would see that it was Kaito. It would seem like he was mad about something. He could see that he was alone, meaning he couldn’t find Revy.

“Hold on tight.” He said to Renji.

The Exceed knew what that meant, and he would feel Yuurei pushing off the ledge he was sitting on. He was free-falling from this high up. Still, he didn’t show any care or worry about the fall because he had a way to break it. His body had moved in the direction where his friend was located. He couldn’t move as he pleased, but when he got to the ground his cape would spread out and stop him from touching the ground.

The hunter would move in the direction where he saw Kaito last, and when he saw his friend he would look at him as if he was in the air.

“Did the trash get in your way?” He asked him waiting for an answer.

Renji couldn't smell Revy around, so he knew she wasn’t around, which made him sad, but he had to be strong for her.

Kaito

Kaito hears a voice in his head telling him that he had been seen and someone strong was coming his way. Kaito had heard this voice since the day he had ate a strange fruit that made him feel weird but he wasn’t sure who it was or why just that he had been chosen by something. Kaito hears his friends voice and he turns around and he sees Yuurei and Renji and he wonders why they were back in this place had they been on a hot scoop of some trouble or something or were they looking for him. "I guess you could say that, so what brings the mighty Yuurei to this island again?"

Kaito waited and he wonders if there was some way or some how that he was just dreaming or maybe he had died at some point, maybe this was all just a mistake and Kaito not knowing to rest still in death kept doing what he had done in a unending purgatory. It would explain why he was never able to find Revy as if she had died with him her pure soul would have been able to pass over to a better place unlike his own.

The voice nearly whispering in his head tells him that no he is not dead and still yet draws breath and that his exceed also still lives somewhere in the world.

Yuurei

Yuurei would hear Kaito, and he would chuckle a bit. That trash got what it deserved it seemed and it would seem like he was curious as to why Yuurei was still here. He blinked a bit as he heard this and he figured that was a good question. He would land on the ground at this point as he didn’t need to be flying anymore. His cape would wrap around his neck as it was acting as a loose scarf.

“That’s a good question. I’m still on this wretched island because there is something bugging me. I feel like this island is hiding something that they don’t want to tell us. I was going to investigate and see what it was, but I may be wrong.” He said to Kaito.

Renji looked around the area to see if they were any kind of danger around them.

“Yeah, he won’t stop thinking about it, so I figured we would go and deal with his urge to solve this thing. Who knows someone might attack us if we get too close.” He said to the group as if he was serious about that.

Kaito

"Yeah they are probably hiding something of course. But finding that is going to probably be harder than you would think." Kaito wonders where they could even begin to look for something hidden in this place as they had combed over zero well enough so this hidden thing would have to be somewhere else probably somewhere that looks like a normal average place that would never draw the eye of a foreigner.

Kaito thinks he has an idea. "Do you think it might be in a small town or city an average building that just looks like about one or maybe a ruined building that looks abandoned?" Kaito seemed to have a strange aura that was coming off of him as if something or some one was standing right behind him. Kaito started walking forward toward the nearest area that he thinks would have people in it as that would mean there would be buildings and maybe a place to look and see if they can find a hidden place, maybe the building would bare a hidden mark on the outside to show it is the place maybe.... something to see with a different kind of vision. Kaito taps the side of his temple with his fingers to use his mana vision to look around.

Yuurei


Yuurei would see that Kaito was quick to answer him. He sucked his teeth as he understood that it would be hard, but he didn’t want to hear it. Still, in the end, it was a reality that they might not find what they were looking for.

He brushed his hair back as he was wondering how they were going to start. His thoughts were all over the place, but one thing was clear, what else they could find if they were trying to search for one thing in Talaz Lagaar?

Yuurei would hear Kaito’s s thoughts and suggestions. He would think about and he wasn’t sure that would be the case. Still, he was fine with going that path and maybe they would find something. He wasn’t sure, but he would see Kaito walking off on his own.

“Not sure, but we can try that route first. Let’s see what we can find.” He said as he had caught up to Kaito.

He would see that his friend was using one of his spells to see something. The Seraphim would move around and he would check to see if he could feel any vibrations around the facility. Where he was, there weren’t any movements.

Kaito

Kaito isn’t seeing anything that is really standing out but he does see strange lines of mana in the air like it was draining mana out of living things that were around. Kaito wonders what this means as he started to look up into the sky looking for where these lines were going but they just seemed to be going toward the sky. Kaito wondered if maybe this place was on a ley line for mana. He looks at the ground and wonders if this island is man made or if it was always here. If maybe they are not looking in the right place and it might be deeper into the ground.

Kaito looked back at Yuurei and he wonders if Yuurei may not just be right and he wonders if the people of this place might just not know about what might be looming here though a lot of them were currently suffering so they might really just not care for what might be, being hidden from them.

Yuurei looked at Kaito to confirm if there was something he had missed. While he had been doing that, he would see that his friend was looking at something. The Seraphim would look at him and then the place he was looking at. He follow him, but Yuurei wouldn’t see anything. He didn’t know what Kaito was doing, but he figured something was either wrong with Kaito, or he had seen something that Yuurei could not see.

The hunter figured he would ask the question so that they could move on. Renji was looking at the two of them and he wondered if they had gone mad. Still, his attention would shift somewhere else as he figured someone had to watch their backs.

“What’s up, Kaito? What are you seeing right now?” He asked.

He had given up trying to see what Kaito could see and figured he would just ask him instead.

Kaito

When Yuurei asked Kaito what he could see, Kaito walked over and he tapped his fingers on the side of Yuureis temple keeping his fingers on Yuurei’s temple so that Yuurei can see the threads of mana that seemed to be flowing off of the area nearly like someone pulling on a loose thread on their clothing. "What ever is going on here it seems to be a very big thing." Kaito stays there with Yuurei and he hopes that Renji doesn’t get jealous but he knows that Yuurei needed to see this as Kaito is not sure that he would have been able to properly explain what he was seeing and it make any kind of sense to anyone but himself.

Kaito is unsure what all of this means was their something on his island or was it something else that was outer worldly that was doing this Kaito really didn’t have the answers to this question nor was he now sure that he wanted to find out about this as that was something dangerous at the least.

Yuurei


Yuurei look at Kaito and he would see that his friend had walked over to him. He wasn’t sure what was going to happen next, but he would see things differently. He could see something now, and it was like threads flowing to the sky everywhere. He could see that it was mana and this was different. He didn’t have the ability to do that, but he felt like he didn’t need it when he knew when danger came his way.

“I see. This is interesting; it seems like something or someone is draining mana and it seems like it's coming from the sky.” He said as he would look over to Kaito.

“Could it be that Talaz Lagaar has something that is similar to the cannon that was used to destroy the rift to the other world?” He asked him.

He was wondering if they should follow it, but if they do, Kaito would have to lead unless he planned on keeping his fingers on Yuurei’s temple the entire time.

“Do you want to see where it leads?” He asked Kaito waiting for an answer.

Kaito

"Sadly I do not see where it is going to." He stops using it on himself and Yuurei and he rubs his eyes as his vision changes back to normal. He starts walking forward again as he looked around. The mana mattered little as they are unsure if that is a red herring to lead them astray or if that would lead them to the answer to their question and what they seek. Kaito touched the sword that hung from his hip and he wonders if he is going to have to use it soon and if he does. Will he be able to not shed some one innocents blood in the cross fire or if he will just embrace the wild fire and the thrill of the battle and leave no one to stand in his way.

The voice is feeding into these thoughts that he is meant to do more and be better and that he can choose to rule and never look back till he rules and takes what he wants.

Yuurei

Yuurei heard him and he would shake his head. That sucked that they couldn’t pursue it any further. It felt like it was heading somewhere, but he wasn’t sure where. Still, they couldn’t be stuck here the entire time, and it was best for them to get going. He would see that Kaito had started walking and he would catch up to him. He didn’t have those special eyes anymore, which was fine. He kept it moving and soon enough they were out in the opening. It was hard to see anybody on the street because they were all isolated from the virus or plague that was on this island.

He looked around to see if there was any building that was out of place, but there was nothing right now.

Renji would do the same thing as he was trying to see if he could spot anything out of the ordinary. Still, all he got was that everything was quiet too quiet.

“You’re right this is tougher than I thought it would be.” He said out loud trying to find a metaphorical sign to show them where to go.

Kaito

Kaito looks around then raised his hand with his palm pointed toward the buildings. "How about i level this area that way if anything is hidden we will be able to see it faster." His tone seemed that of joking but the fact that he probably could level the whole area might make Yuurei a bit uneasy with him saying such a thing. Kaito wasn’t really going to do it even if Yuurei had asked him to do it as he was not looking to maybe kill people that were in their homes safe and sound.

Kaito walked closer to the homes and buildings and he keeps looking for any tell tale signs that they might have found the place that something might be hidden, but for all Kaito knew they could have been looking for something that is hidden and long forgotten with out anyone having to maintain it or that even knows that it is a thing that they would need to look out for. Kaito feels like he is being watched by something from somewhere near by.

Yuurei

Yuurei would chuckle when he heard that. He wasn’t in the mood to destroy things for no reason. Well, there was a reason, but that wasn’t a good enough one for him.

“Nah, we don’t have to resort to that kind of stuff. If we do that we might take lives that are in that building.” He said to Kaito.

He did feel the vibration of many people that were in there. He didn’t want to harm the innocent people on this island. Yuurei kept moving as it would seem like Kaito had gotten close to the building. It would seem like he was trying to find something. Renji was looking, but he couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary.

What the group didn’t see, or couldn’t see right now was that somebody was watching them. They were too far for Yuurei to sense them and they didn’t make any moves on them, so there was no sense of danger. Their expression was serious as they were looking for an opportunity of some sort to show themselves.

Kaito

Kaito playfully sighs. "Never letting me have any fun you know that Yuurei." He gets away from the buildings and he wonders where they can even go from here. "Be nice if the answer could just come to us right?" He asked with a laugh as he moved away and more to an open area as no one seemed to wish to help them or even attempt to give them a simple push in the right way for their efforts.

Kaito looks at the other man as he wonders what Yuurei’s ideas might be as he himself had found nothing but more questions and info that he has no way of figuring out how to use. Kaito feels like he has been defeated in the attempts to help Yuurei get his answers and is really only probably slowing the other man down as he keeps stopping to look at things and he had just joked about flattening out the area.

Yuurei would hear Kaito and he would laugh at him. He knew he was joking and that he didn’t mean it. Kaito was a much nicer guy than he was. The only problem with him was that he had troubled times and he figured that happened after he gained the powers that he had now. He would brush his hair back as he looked at him as he was walking around.

“Yeah it would be nice if the answer could just appear. It sucks that we don’t know how lively this place could be. So, how’s Fairy Tail doing? I’ve never met any of the guild masters. I just know it’s a wild guild from what I heard.” He said to Kaito as he was making conversation.

There was nothing around them that screamed that it was hiding anything. It sucked that Yuurei might not be able to find what he was looking for just now.

The person looking at them kept their sights on the group as he was ashamed that this man even existed.

"Hmmm not sure how to answer your question about fairy tail as I barely see any members besides the guild master and some times the ghost of the ex guild master as he floats around." Kaito wonders where people could be hiding anything at there and he wonders where there are signs or even anything to give them a direction to take off in and he wonders where there will be an answer.

"How is all of Paradise Dawn doing. Hope my brother isn’t making to much collateral damage for you guys to afford to keep covering." He laughed as he could only think about how much damage his brother probably keeps causing for them to have to clean up with his bash first ask questions later fighting style that probably makes him look more like a bad guy than a good guy. His brother has always seemed out of control but after getting that new magic he became even worse and Kaito knows that he might not even be able to beat him if it came down to it.

Yuurei would hear Kaito and he would nod. It would seem like Kaito’s interaction with the guild only came from those with strength as well. To be in contact with the former and current guild master was interesting. He couldn’t say the same for his guild; Khalfani had died, which he had found out not too long ago. He didn’t know the reason behind it, but it was tragic. The parting gift was the guild, which was something he would hold dear to him.

He would snap out of it as he heard Kaito. He wondered how the guild was doing and he would smile at him as he was sure it was going well.

“The guild is fine. We just had some invaders come and attacked the North not too recently. Still, things are fine, and everyone knows what they need to do. As for your brother, he is as cocky as ever, but I haven’t heard of him almost killing any of the innocent people in the North as of lately, so that’s good news.” He said as they kept walking.

“So, you spend your time communicating with your guild master and the former, but never everyone else? What, you think you going to curse them if you get near them?” He asked curious to hear his explanation.

Kaito hears what his friend said and he wonders what the man would think if he was to voice that he can’t stand most of the people in his guild, he contemplates just letting the man think he is worried that his curse was going to bother them. Kaito sighs and he figures just to be open with him about it no need to hide it. "I do not get along with others well as you know, so I can’t stand many of the others in the guild." Kaito sighed as that was a pain in the backside to have to admit but he was who he was and that was all he could really know.

"I am surprised to hear my brother is not causing you more issues if I am honest." Kaito had to wonder what had happened to Emil to make him do less collateral damage of people here and he wonders why they would do that, he needs to know to see how to change more people like Emil to normal people.

Yuurei would keep walking with Kaito and he would look at him as he explained his situation with his guild. His eyes widen a bit as he was surprised to hear this. He knew that he didn’t get along with people, but he figured with this guild it would be different. Still, it seemed like he was wrong about that, which led Yuurei to believe that his only connection with the guild was his guild master. If that person left, he would either join Paradise Dawn or become the guild leader of Fairy Tail.

He found it interesting to think about, but when he heard Kaito he laughed a bit.

“I’m pretty sure they’re just holding back. I’m sure your brother is still how he normally is.” He said to Kaito.

It wouldn’t take long, but they would reach the center of the city. Yuurei would look around to see where they would go next.

The mysterious figure that was following the two men decided that it was time to make their move.

Kaito

Kaito was not sure about what he was doing and he wonders if maybe he should leave fairy tail and just be his own mage and not worry about being part of a team and he wonders if maybe that will be more freeing maybe he could find somewhere to be at peace. Maybe he would fine answers or maybe find the end of the road and he could just walk off of the end and see what he could find on the other side if there was even life there or even light but he knows that he knows little and there is nothing that could make this work out for him as all he knows is emptiness and losing but Kaito just for some reason can’t give up his hope even now.

He looks around where yuurei had lead them and he doesn’t see anything or even smell it, he wonders if maybe in the end he was never meant to be here like some outside force was trying to drive him and some others from this land and kept working against them if there was even a small issue this force seems to like to snowball it and over react to it.

Yuurei

Yuurei would look at Kaito and it would seem like he didn’t smell anything. It would seem like they didn’t have anything here either. His desire to find something that could help find the root of Talaz Lagaar was becoming a failure. The young man didn’t know what else to do about the situation, which brought him to wonder if they should call it quits.

“I think we should…” He never got to finish speaking as someone would appear in front of him and Kaito.

The mysterious figure would turn to look at them and they would show no emotions. Yuurei’s eyes widened when he saw the wings all over this being. It was on their backs and hands, and even their legs were wings. He had a huge halo hovering over their head as claws emerged from the wings depicting hands. He knew immediately what was going on there.

“Kaito careful.” Yuurei had motions his body to bring forth his armor as he looked at them wondering what was going to happen.

Kaito had heard his friend start talking then he heard Yuurei tell him that he needed to be careful and he wondered what could get Yuurei to say such a think as Yuurei is the most fearless person that he thinks that he can remember even the strongest that he can think about. He looked up at the creature that had seemed to have come out of no where and Kaito wonders what it is. "What is that? Think it is friendly? I wonder if it speaks our tongue." Kaito backed up a little and swung his arm and his gear appeared on himself and he wonders what they should do as Kaito had not the slightest idea what this thing was or to why it was here but he doesn't think that he should get into a fight with it as there was no real win condition to fighting if from what he can tell and he wants to make sure that he is not too close to Yuurei so that can split it's attention if it did attack them.

Yuurei

The Watcher who appeared to the two of them would look at Kaito as if he had asked simple questions. He wouldn’t express any emotions because he was here for one thing today.

“Yes, I can speak your language, young boy. I’m only here for one person and that is your friend. If you and that Exceed can step away from him, then you two have nothing to worry about.” He said to Kaito.

He would look at Yuurei as he tilted his head waiting to see what this man would do.

“I advise you not to use your right arm.” He said to Yuurei giving him a warning.

The Seraphim would hear this, but he didn’t care what this thing had to say. He had grasped Excalibur in his hand and kept it invisible from the beginning. He would extend his arm without hesitating and his eyes widened at what happened to him next.

His arm would start spurting out blood through the bandages and his arm was no longer attached to Yuurei’s body.

“What the fuck did you do!?” He screamed in pain as his sword revealed itself on the ground and his arm for some reason started to move upward into the sky.
