Embark!: Reborn in The Light!



Name: Reaching New Heights: Reborn In The Light!

Difficulty: Long

Participants: Alejandro Celdrua

Story: Long ago there was a Mage known as Lenux from a land that no longer exists today. Lenux was extremely strong and deemed the protector amongst others during his time. As the legends would have it, dark gods of an unknown Pantheon were scouring the galaxy for a mysterious power, one that had the ability to create new life. That power was inherited by someone in Lenux's court. Of course Lenux would not allow these so called gods to take his trusted colleague, so when he rejected the so-called gods, they began to wreak havoc on all the land. Lenux and his colleagues fought for 11 days and 11 nights. Finally, on the 12th day, Lenux made a decision. With his deep and seemingly boundless power of light, he created a new world to trap the "gods".

Lenux became the Orb of Magi, entrapping the dark gods inside and allowing the sheer power of his light magic disintegrate them over time. Unfortunately, this did not save Lenux's land. More "Dark gods" returned months later to enact vengeance and erased the land and all its people. None survived. However, Lenux's power still exists. Although there are no traces of darkness inside of it, it radiates strongly. Over the course of hundreds of years, mages have tried to absorb or use this potent light energy, but the orb would not budge. Rumor has it that the orb will only give its power to a worthy candidate.

Alejandro, after swiftly reaching the rank of Lieutenant in the Rune Knights, has been requested to escort a renown High priest of Crocus to the Northern region. For the first time ever, the Stellan elf is required to lead a squad of knights. Word of the Relic has spread far and wide and intel has suggested that there are multiple groups aiming to obtain the orb for its power. The priest has decided to transport the relic known as the Orb of Magi to Orchidia's church to be protected and studied further. However, the journey is long because for the sake of the Orb, the priest has requested a very specific route. The purpose of this mission is not to protect the priest as much as it is to protect the orb.

Objective:
  • Escort the priest and the Orb of Magi to Orchidia Church
  • Protect the Orb of Magi
  • Something magical happens!



Name: Congratulations, Lieutenant

Rank: A

Type: Good

Participants: Alejandro Celdrua

Summary: Captain Kyro has a task for you! First, he wants to congratulate you on becoming a Lieutenant. Meet up with him to discuss the mission.

Others:
Captain Kyro: Captain Kyro is generally a laid back man who takes his work seriously. Because of an injury he got on the job a few years back, he doesn't leave his office often but he is also in his gear as if he's waiting for the day. He's a rather depressed middle-aged man but tends to hide it. He has high hopes for Alejandro and has taken a liking to him.

Objectives:
  • Make a thread in the Rune Knight Headquarters
  • Meet with Captain Kyro.
  • He will congratulate you on becoming Lieutenant.

  • Rally your squad of Knights



Name: Sunday Service

Summary: The Priest is in the Grand Cathedral in Crocus, he's eager to get a move on so Alejandro is in a rush to meet with him. Unbeknown to them, he has yet to even pack his things...

Bartholomew Herald: Herald is a High priest who works in the Cathedral of Crocus. Very mean, bossy and grumpy and is always serious.

Objectives:
  • Make a thread in the Cathedral in Crocus.
  • When you enter with your squad, you will see the High Priest reading the scriptures at the alter.
  • He doesn't introduce himself and could care less about who you are. Instead, once you attempt to speak to him he will point you outside to his luggage to pack in the carriage outside.
  • Pack his luggage in the carriage outside and he will meet you when you're done.



Name: The Journey Begins

Summary: Finally, after being treated like some indentured servant, it's finally time to get on the road. Alejandro has never lead a squad before, so its a bit nerve wrecking. The group begin their travels across the country, but it isn't easy. There are people lurking in the dark, eager to obtain the Orb of Magi.

Others:  
Bartholomew Herald: Herald is a High priest who works in the Cathedral of Crocus. Very mean, bossy and grumpy and is always serious.

Orb of Magi: Orb of Magi. A Relic cherished by the church, protected by the priests. It is told to be unbreakable and wields the remaining of Lenux's power.

Enemies: 15x Assassins

Assassins: Masked assassins armed with knives and other tools. They're speedy, so keep your guard up!

Rewards:
  • 15,000 EXP
  • 10 Stat points
  • 500 fame
  • 500,000 Jewels


Objectives:
  • Begin your travels with your squad and the priest.
  • The trip is long, tedious and tiring.
  • Stay Alert and make sure that your squad is also staying alert.
  • Herald will begin to tell you about the Orb of Magi.
  • In the midst of Herald's history lesson, the carriage breaks down and suddenly, Assassins attack.
  • Kill the Assassins, protect the Orb of Magi.


Name: Top Priority!

Participants: Alejandro Celdrua

Summary: Masked Assassins have attacked the traveling party and reinforcements have come. Unfortunately, Alejandro's squad is losing the battle. Prioritizing the mission, Alejandro must make a run for it with the Priest and the Orb of Magi, leaving the carriage behind while the squad keeps the Assassins occupied. However, the fight isn't over. As Alejandro departs with the Priest, Assassins pop up left and right. Now it's up to Alejandro to see it through.

Others:
Bartholomew Herald: Herald is a High priest who works in the Cathedral of Crocus. Very mean, bossy and grumpy and is always serious.

Orb of Magi: Orb of Magi. A Relic cherished by the church, protected by the priests. It is told to be unbreakable and wields the remaining of Lenux's power.

Enemies: 5x Skilled Assassins

Assassins: Masked assassins armed with knives and other tools. They're speedy, so keep your guard up!

Objectives:
  • Make a Thread in Baska Outskirts.
  • Flee with Herald the High Priest as he carries the Orb of Magi.
  • Everywhere you turn isn't safe. Occasionally a skilled Assassin will pop up and attack you.
  • Fight them off or continue to run. Herald will help you.
  • Finally, the Assassins seem to get off your trail.
  • Continue traveling to the Northern region

Summary: After a long and difficult trip, Alejandro and Herald finally arrive at Orchidia Church. All of Alejandro's squad is dead, but the mission seems to be complete- until something starts to feel off...Why is the church empty?

Orb of Magi: Orb of Magi. A Relic cherished by the church, protected by the priests. It is told to be unbreakable and wields the remaining of Lenux's power.

Enemies: Bane | 10x Mobsters

Bane: Bane works for the Blackwood bank. He's a trader in every sense of the word. As vile and as wicked as they come, this man is pure evil. Loud, boisterous and confident, Bane likes to play with his enemies before killing them.

Mobsters: These Mobsters are Banes henchmen. They're loyal out of fear, not love and they do everything Bane says.

  • 10,000 EXP
  • 250,000 Jewels
  • 7 Stat points
  • 400 Fame/rep


Objectives:
  • Enter Orchidia church. You'll notice it's empty.
  • Suddenly the doors behind you close and 10 people emerge from the shadows.
  • Bane reveals himself and you immediately spring into action.
  • It's no use, Bane beats you bloody before chaining you and and Herald up in the catacombs, taking the Orb of Magi and putting it in a safe place inside the church.
  • Figure out how to silently break out.



Name: A Special Connection

Participants: Alejandro Celdrua

Summary: The Stellan Knight doesn't have much fight left in them, but they now understand the importance of this mission. It is because of that, they are able to continue pushing forward. After breaking free from the chains, Alejandro must search for and retrieve the Orb of Magi, this time though, they must become the Assassin.

Others:
Bartholomew Herald: Herald is a High priest who works in the Cathedral of Crocus. Very mean, bossy and grumpy and is always serious.

Orb of Magi: Orb of Magi. A Relic cherished by the church, protected by the priests. It is told to be unbreakable and wields the remaining of Lenux's power.

Enemies: 10x Mobsters

Mobsters: These Monsters are Banes henchmen. They're loyal out of fear, not love and they do everything Bane says.

  • 400 Fame/rep


Objectives:
  • Make a thread in Orchidia Church
  • Quietly search for the Orb of Magi
  • Mobsters are walking around the catacombs, so be careful. Hide from them or silently take them out before they notice you.
  • The Orb is well hidden but suddenly...you hear a voice calling to you.
  • Retrieve the Orb.


Name: Champion Of Magi

Summary: The orb has been retrieved. Now, it's time to get Herald and leave- of course not before freeing the other prisoners. Escaping isn't as easy as Alejandro anticipated because now the final battle ensues. Fret now, young Stellan, because something magical happens!

Bane: Bane works for the Blackwood bank. He's a trader in every sense of the word. As vile and as wicked as they come, this man is pure evil. Loud, boisterous and confident, Bane likes to play with his enemies before killing them.

Rewards: 1x Legendary Custom

Objectives:
  • Return to Herald chained to a wall in the catacombs with the Orb of Magi.
  • Release Herald quickly and find a way to escape.
  • As you move you begin to hear muffled noises, check it out.
  • Release the other prisoners and lead them to a way out.
  • You find your way back upstairs and there Bane is waiting for you.
  • Fight him. He's strong but maybe if you push through...
  • Seeing that you're losing, you have no other choice but to eat the Orb
  • Suddenly your body begins to glow and unbeknownst to you a Bow appears on your back
  • After eating the orb you feel a surge of power. All your stats are temporarily, for this thread, increase by +100
  • Defeat Bane before passing out.
