Yuurei

Yuurei had enjoyed his time in Hosenka a lot, and honestly, even with all the evil and bad stuff that had been happening under his nose, it was enjoyable. The light mage had used Christina to get the group to Hosenka without the need to travel. When they got there, he moved through the Crimson Quarter district as he was going to someone who could pay them nicely if he took on a job for him. When they got to their client, Yuurei would knock on the door with a smile on his face. It was one of the city guards and it was their day off.

“Ah, Yuurei I see you’re here for that mission I told you about before?” He asked.

“Yeah and I’m here with my friends to make sure that we get the job done.” He said to the man in front of him.

“Okay so I need you guys to do a few things for me. There is a new gang called the Drunken Lotus. They have been moving a lot around after all those deaths from the Black Dragons, and White Stars gang. I want you three to go and track where they are taking all these goods. Once you do that go to their local hang-out spots and see if you can get on their good side. Once you do all of that report back to me and let me know where they are putting everything in.” He said as he would hand him the location of where they hung out at.

Yuurei would nod as he closed the door, and he would look over to his friends.

“So, guys the city guard wants us to trail a gang called the Drunken Lotus. And after we found out their location on where they are taking their supplies, we need to go back to their go spot, which is a bar from what I can tell, and hang out there and see if we can become buddies with them. If you don’t have a problem with that, then we should start walking towards our destination.” He said to the two of them as he would start walking.

This wasn’t the first time Yuurei had done this, so this was normal to him already.

Brone Heavyaxe was excited to travel to Hosenka, not about anything specific of the city itself, but because it was a new city to explore. He had only known a few towns and two major cities personally, and now because of his new ranking in the guild, he was able to take on more important quests that required travel, though the down side was that the guild didn't offer to pay for any of the expenses, Brone didn't mind at all.

As they had travel the streets, the dwarf got the feeling that the city itself housed many forms of trouble, like a breeding ground for delinquents. As the three of them made their way into the Crimson Quarter, Brone got more suspicious; every now and then, some passerbys would stare in their direction and he wasn't sure if he could grill or buck at them, for he wasn't familiar to the city and he wanted to avoid problems, especially for the sake of his friends.

They got off the main street and down a narrower one, then up a flight of stairs to a single door to which was answered by a man. As the two of them made their conversation, albeit quiet enough to avoid onlookers from hearing, Brone decided to walk halfway down the steps to keep look out. Maybe he was overreacting, but he felt he needed to be on his toes, during his visit back home in the mountains of Stella, him and his cousins had fought against trolls while they were flatfooted. He never wanted to be caught off guard again.

When Yuurei was done speaking to the guard, he summarized the quest and Brone's suspicions were confirmed. "A gang, hm" the city bred gangs, and now they had to deal with them through the game of words. The dwarf followed Yuurei while having his helmet tucked underneath his arm.

So much had happened over the last couple of weeks. The wind mage had gone from training her magic to losing it only to get a brand new lost art. One that she still wasn't quite in control of, but with a little more practice she was confident she would be back to her full strength soon enough. She had ensured that Yuurei was at least aware of her current situation, he had been with her when it had all happened, but they hadn't quite filled Brone in with the details. The last thing he heard she had fainted at the end of their last job. Well, there was no need to worry him over the small things, she was fine enough now.

Following the boys through the streets she had yet to explore, the new location was definitely warmer than magnolia. The wood elf put it down to the humidity due to the natural hot springs that were known to litter the area, although she had yet to see any up close, only spying them from up in the airship when they had first landed.

Upon arriving at their destination, they were greeted by an acquaintance of Yuurei. He really had made quite a number of friends during his travels. The wind mage stayed quiet, simply listening in to the conversation and absorbing all the information they were given. Kailani wasn't overly confident in her ability to make friends with a gang, she wasn't the best actress, but she would give it her all. What concerned her was the exceed that rode her shoulders, unsure if he'd be a detriment to the mission or not.

While they were walking to the location, Yuurei would see that Kailani didn’t say a word through it all and Brone’s simple words made him feel as if had taken them to do the wrong quest. He would scratch the side of his head and decided to speak up before they would make it to their destination.

“Are you guys okay with taking this quest? We’re just dinging their destination on where they’re taking their supplies. After that when we go hang out around where they hang out we be true to ourselves. I mean the only thing we don’t tell anybody is the real reason why we’re there and that we’re a part of Blue Pegasus.” He said to both of them.

Still, he wasn’t sure that was enough, but what Yuurei came to learn through the two years he was away from everyone was that not all things were black and white. He had understood the gray area of it all. While they had time to respond to Yuurei whenever they finished speaking, the light mage would stop on his track. He wouldn’t have the time to answer them back as he would see that they had made it. He looked at Kailani and Brone and nudge for them to go to the wall. The light mage would walk over to the wall as he would give them enough space to see what was going on.

Brone has heard of quests such as these, where you have to use your stealth and be silent, there is a name for it, but the dwarf couldn't find it. He grunted a few times just to get the irritation out, these type of operations, though he has never tried one, seemed way too complicated for him, and needed too much patience, like playing a game of chess. He recalled the last time he tried playing chess, the opponent took so long during his turn, the dwarf got fed up and flipped the table, ending the game, and not regretting it.

Hearing Yuurei's explanation to the quest again didn't really sink into the dwarf's mind fully. He heard him, sure, but what supplies were they talking about? And why was it important? How would they be able to draw out the information without knowing what they were looking for exactly, "Aye, I hear ye" Brone tried to sound cheerful, though he continued to grunt every now and then. He figured the best way for him to go about this quest would be to just follow the other's lead, simple enough for him.

Suddenly he was nudged by Yuurei towards the wall, Brone wasn't sure what was happening, so he simply just reacted and pressed himself against the wall, trying to stay as silent as possible. His hand went to the handle of his steel battleaxe, waiting for a possible foe, or for Yuurei or Kailani's signal. What was happening?

"Ah, nono, it's fine." Kailani smiled in an attempt to reassure him, she was confident enough that with the two males at her side if something did go wrong, it would be handled easily enough by them. She had seen how easily Yuurei had decimated the last group of thugs they'd fought and she doubted anyone in this town would be much worse than those guys.

"Yea do you think we can't handle ourselves?" Nimbus huffed, folding his paws as he took insult with Yuurei's words, "Hurry up and lead the way already." He demanded, trying to shoo Yuurei away from the conversation and into action. Kailani may have promised to treat the feline to a meal to try the local cuisine after they were done here, leaving the exceed fairly impatient.

Meanwhile, the wood elf was regretting not leaving the little shit on the airship, he really didn't know how to read the atmosphere. With a sigh, she'd run her hand through the loose strands of hair, tucking them behind her ear and out of her face.

"You didn't need to say it like that." Kailani spoke calmly while leering at the kitty on her shoulder.

"What are you talking about, saying it like what?" Nimbus retaliated, clearly taking offense once again, causing the wind mage to sigh once more.

"Nothing, nothing..." It wasn't worth arguing with him over this, "Let's just get to work shall we?" She'd turn to the others, ignoring the exceed's glares, and ready to get started on their mission.

Yuurei would watch as there were a group of men going in and out of the Tavern nearby with crates in their hands. They were putting whatever was inside of the carriage that was there. It seemed like the group was going to have to be on their toes because he was pretty sure they were going to have to keep up with horses. While he watched them, he would quickly turn to Nimbus and Kailani as it seemed like they were talking to each other. Nimbus had a loose mouth when it came to him, and he was going to toss the Exceed into the air one day.

Still, he didn’t have time for that as there were more important things to take care of. The light mage would be watched as they continued moving things around as he could only shake his head.

“That is a lot of crates their moving into one carriage. I’m pretty sure whatever they’re moving is illegal. It could probably be some drugs or something that none of us have ever heard.” He paused for a second before talking again.

“I’ve been around these types of people before and they aren’t moving milk or alcohol around that’s for sure. Still, it seems like we are going to have to be following two horses, so Kai could you speed up Brone?” He asked her wondering if she could handle that.

Yuurei would open his hand as a magic circle would appear floating above his palm and seventeen stars would come out soon after. They would enter his body soon after making him faster than he originally was. It looked like the group was almost done with loading everything, so it was time they got ready.

Brone kept pressed against the wall and followed Yuurei's gaze. Several people were transferring crates from within a nearby tavern into a carriage. Honestly to the dwarf, it didn't seem suspicious at all, crates are usually handled around taverns all the time due to the need of products, but then again, taverns mostly receive merchandise rather than ship them out. The tavern didn't look to be big enough as a storage house, so Yuurei's hunch could be credible. Either way, Brone shrugged his shoulders and figured the best way to find out is to follow as Yuurei had suggested, "Aye, though are we to just find out and report back, or can we give them a friendly Blue Pegasus greeting with a side of black and blue?" the dwarf chuckled.

As Yuurei cast a magic circle that conjured several more stars than Brone was use to seeing, this was also an indication of Yuurei's growth, now the dwarf began to wonder how powerful the half-elf has become, what has he done during the two years they have been separated. The stars entered Yuurei's body and an air about it change, he took a ready position seeing that the suspicious characters loading the carriage seem to be nearly done. Brone looked to Kailani and nodded, giving her the signal that he was ready for the magical boost spell. He waited for the lavender smell to fill the air.

Kailani glared at Yuurei, they had had this discussion earlier! She wasn't used to her new magic and didn't know its capabilities. Now there was a chance she'd have to be honest with Brone if it didn't work out and they really didn't have time for that conversation right now.

With a sigh, she'd begin trying to attempt to replicate the way she used to cast her spells, summoning forth a wave of mana with each click, focused on her target of choice; in this case, Brone. She felt a small surge of strange mana flow through her body, it still didn't feel like it quite belonged to her. But as it went to shoot towards the dwarf she felt it fizzling out, instead of a burst of air upon his back, there was but a pathetic and useless gentle breeze.

"Damnit..." she sighed, hanging her head in shame as she awaited the stout man's reaction to her failure. Hopefully, he wouldn't question it just yet and would run off the moment the wind hit his back. That way she would at least have time to prepare her explanation properly. The fear of him seeing her as weak sent her into a nervous panic.

Yuurei would hear him, and he would chuckle when he heard what Brone had suggested they could do. He would look over to him and he would shake his head.

“I would have said that would be for the best, but the client guard had told us that after we gather the information on where they are taking all of these supplies, we are supposed to infiltrate them after.” He said to Brone.

He would have loved to take these guys out, but they had to go deep into the root of it all. That means they needed to find out who their boss is and find a way to get that person arrested. Yuurei messed up with Kailani’s feeling as he had thought she had gotten used to her magic by now. He felt bad, and when he was going to say something, the carriage started moving. The light mage would hope that they would be able to follow him.

“Renji can you leave some bread crumbs for Brone, and Kai to follow?” He asked his Exceed.

Renji would sigh as he would take out a bag of chips from his bag and he would start tossing out pieces of chips onto the floor so they could find and follow. Yuurei kept moving as he was following the carriage. He made sure that he kept his distance from the carriage as he didn’t want them to spot him following them. The carriage moved quickly, and he knew that probably Kailani would be able to keep up with it.

While Yuurei kept moving, he would stop every now and then when he saw them making a quick stop to check if they were being followed. This happened every now and then, which would give everybody enough time to catch up.

Brone examined the carriage and saw that they had just loaded the last of the crates. He looked back to see Kailani was beginning to cast her magic. He braced himself, but after a moment of silence, all he felt was a simple gentle breeze. He looked back at Kailani and was about to ask whether or not that was the spell, he noticed the elf hanging her head and felt bad.

”Hey, lass, don’t worry” he gave a gentle pat onto Kailani’s shoulder. Whether she was sick, or it was just a fluke, Brone wasn’t sure about what was the cause to the spell failure, but he figured he would help pick up the slack, they were team after all, ”We got ye, so don’t fret” he gave her a smile and a thumbs up.

Yuurei dashed off with Renji on his shoulder dropping potato chips for the sake of the remaining team members. An inconvenience, but Brone wasn’t going to wallow about it, ”Come, let’s make our way” he said as he took off down the street, following the potato chip trail. Though he was running as fast as he could, his short legs didn’t allow him to get pretty far fast enough and on top of that, his ringmail armor jingled. The only upside was that because he was so far behind on the trail, the suspicious a men riding the carriage wouldn’t hear him from that distance. Yuurei was already vanishing out of sight due to his distance, ”Keep on them, lad” he whispered as he continued to give chase.

Kailani nodded in response, thankful that Brone wasn't one to pry, instead, they just moved on with the mission at hand. Surprisingly even Nimbus managed to keep his mouth shut after seeing her fail her magic. She had been expecting some witty nonsensical comment about how useless she was from him. Instead, when she glanced over, he just seemed concerned.

While carriages were certainly fast, they still had a speed limit, which meant even if they were trailing behind, it wouldn't be by much. The wood elf considered dashing ahead, but instead decided it would be best to remain alongside Brone, if she got caught all alone, it could make things difficult.

Unlike her dwarven companion that jingled beside her, Kailani made little to no noise as she jogged beside him. A talent she had been born with thanks to her elven heritage. As they progressed further through the streets, they did lag behind a little, but it was probably for the best, this way they would be far less likely to be caught. She did worry a bit for Yuurei, up ahead without them, but she settled her nerves on the matter, reminding herself that he wasn't the weak child he once was anymore. He really didn't need her protection the same way he once did. Glancing down at the dwarf, chugging along beside her, she'd eye his axe and armor.

"I guess it's looking like I should get myself a weapon too.." she whispered with a sigh, if she didn't learn how to control her new magic she was going to have to rely on more physical means in order to be useful. As someone that had witnessed Brone in battle, she couldn't deny his usefulness despite his lack of magic. Perhaps he'd even be willing to help train her a bit when it came to fighting up close.

Yuurei would continue his travel following the carriage and soon enough it would come to an end. The light mage would find himself stopping as best as he could as he would skid on the ground for a second. He would take a corner of a building as he would see where the supplies were going to be heading to. He waited as people would come out of the carriage and he would see that they were holding onto the supplies that they put in the carriage in the first place. Yuurei would watch them go into a certain building and they would continue to come in and out of it.

He would watch over it and he would hope that the other two would be here. Yuurei would have the path written and drawn on paper for the city guard. This was what he wanted from them, and he was okay with that.

“Do we wait for them or meet up with the two?” Renji would ask his friend.

Yuurei would look at his companion and he figured they should meet up with both.

“I guess we should go bump into them and tell them we got the information and location in the end.” He said to Renji.

Yuurei would turn around as they didn’t need to be here anymore. He would start running in the direction he had come from and he would see them as he would wave at them.

“Guys I got everything we need. We don’t have to be here anymore. I think we should head over to the tavern.” He said this to them.

He wanted to tell them that he had made a mistake in the plan. He should have told them to go into the tavern while he found out where the carriage was heading. He was learning how to be a leader and mistakes were made. Yuurei would learn from this and better himself for the future.

Though he was slow and his feet were heavy upon the cobblestone street, Brone didn’t feel any bit tired, his training had allowed him to improve his stamina and breathing technique. He had eventually lost the carriage, he was determined to catch up, so long as he followed the potato chips left behind by Renji.

Kailani had joined beside the dwarf, ”Thank ye for the company, lass” he said with a chuckle, even though he felt bad about slowing her down, ”Hope yer alright” he was concerned about earlier, when her magic seem to have failed. If it was just that one time, the dwarf wouldn’t think much of it, but he had recalled the last time the three of them were on a quest together, Kailani seem to have some kind of struggle, initially Brone thought a thug had landed a hit on her, but he speculated while she was on her way to the hospital, he wondered whether or not the elf was sick with a cold and hopefully nothing more.

Yuurei returned, to which Brone pulled to a stop in front of him, ”Oh… well I suppose that part of the quest is done” he shrugged, expecting more excitement, though he knew not to wish for more complication, ”To the tavern then” Brone then turned about and ran back towards the tavern with his short legs, luckily the potato chips were still there for him to follow back to the tavern.

"Anytime, and I'm fine, just not quite one hundred percent yet." Kailani smiled reassuringly in response as the duo jogged down the street together. She didn't need to worry him, but it was best to be honest about her condition if they were going to continue working together. As they continued following the path left by the light mage, Kailani found the job somewhat relaxing, to the point she almost forgot the reason they were out here until she spied Yuurei's figure heading back to them. It seemed he had once more done the job pretty much all by himself.

The wind mage chuckled a little at Brone's clear disappointment. He very much enjoyed getting to swing his axes around and beat up bad guys. intelligence and reconnaissance-based missions really didn't suit the stout man. His strengths lay literally in his strength, and it seemed a waste to spend his time simply gathering information. But a job is a job, and they were getting paid for it, so there was no need to feel too bad. After they were done, perhaps she'd treat everyone to a nice scrumptious meal to bring their spirits up after such an uneventful job.

"At least we got a nice cardio workout." She'd grin down with a chuckle at Brone as they started to head back the way they came.

Yuurei would see them, and he could see the disappointment in Brone’s face. He felt bad for putting them in a wild goose chase. He messed up and he needed to reflect that. Still, it seemed like there was no time to blame anybody as the dwarf started running back from which they had come from. He would follow as he would catch up to him, and this time would stay by their side.

“After getting the information, I realized that you guys could have gone into the tavern and started chatting with everyone in there. I guess I’m learning still, so this is all new to me. I’m usually just on my own doing these jobs or allowing Kai to take the lead and I follow the flow.” He said out loud as they were making their way towards the tavern.

Renji shook his head because this guy did make a mistake, but he wasn’t a bad leader. He knew the potential in Yuurei and he hoped that he would improve. It wouldn’t take long, but the group would find themselves back at their starting location and near the tavern. Now that they were there, Yuurei would walk towards the tavern. He would open the door for both to enter and he would enter last for the three of them. The light mage also took noticed that Kailani didn’t buff Brone with speed, so it meant that she was still getting used to her new magic.

This part would test their social skills, and how they could get along with people who are the scum of the earth or misguided at least.

Brone didn't understand what Kailani meant by 'not being 100 percent yet', she was possibly under the weather or maybe it was her breathing, he himself had to learn breathing techniques in order to help with his workouts. He chuckled at the 'cardio' joke, though the elf was most certainly right, "Try practicing yerr breathing, it has helped me greatly" Brone exaggerated inhaling and exhaling in order to show the elf his own breathing technique, "In through the nose and out through the mouth, but try and keep the pace" the dwarf was certainly sure about this mainly because Kailani's magic is wind and to Brone, wind is simply moving air, which is a bigger version of breathing, "Ye'll get the hang of it" he nudged the elf playfully before turning to Yuurei as the three of them continued to make their way back to the tavern.

"Don't ye worry about that" he laughed, "Ye did finely and I have made too many mistakes, but what's important is that we get up and keep running, being knocked down is just a set back, I wouldn't have done any better" felt proud to be able to encourage his fellow companions. As the three of them slowed as they reached the tavern, Brone stroke his beard, he himself wasn't a natural born leader like Yuurei, but he knew himself enough to be a boaster, helping friends alike to get back upon their feet and encouraging their abilities to strengthen, yes indeed, this dwarf felt himself to be a valuable alley to these elven friends that he cherishes, and he had no doubt in this quest, for he had faith in his team.

Brone walked in through the door, heavily armored and with his helmet tucked under his arm. The way he entered drew some looks, but the dwarf didn't falter from his performance, he held a smile and searched for the bar. He looked over to the bartender and pointed to him "A pint of ale for the dwarf" he called out and walked confidently over.

Kailani blinked a couple of times over getting breathing advice from the dwarf, but smiled and nodded, following his lead. Breathing in and out rhythmically, similar to the way she did when using her magic.

"Brone is right, you're still learning and it's not your fault that my magic is a little wonky at the moment." She shot  Yuurei a smile, trying to reassure him that he was doing a fine job. After all, over the years they'd been together he wasn't the sort to stop and spend time looking at the bigger picture like she was. He tended to be rather reactionary, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It meant he could make quick decisions on the fly, but it meant he struggled with the planning ahead.

As they neared the tavern, Kailani had to slow down and take a small breather. While she was speedy she lacked the endurance the two males had, making the long-burning jog really wear her out. That breathing advice from Brone actually came in handy as she caught her breath, letting her heart rate slow down before entering the building.

Instantly she felt eyes on her and her companions, her heart racing once more, but now due to anxiety rather than exercise. Faltering she saw Brone already acting naturally, ordering a drink at the bar. Glancing up towards Yuurei as if to ask for help and to take the lead for the two of them. Granting the light mage the perfect opportunity for him to show off his capabilities.

Yuurei would smile when he watched both enter the tavern. Brone seemed to have known his way around these areas as he was quick to order. Kailani, on the other hand, was quite wet behind the ears still. He could see that she didn’t know what to do, so he did what he felt was right. He would walk in after they did, and he would grab her hand with his own and walked straight to the bar as well. Of course, holding Kailani’s hand he would blush a bit, but he had to play it cool. His eyes looked at all the men that were watching them. Yes, he did this for two reasons, Kailani didn’t know what to do and he figured this would calm her anxiety. He figured she would have her heart rushing, but at least she knew he was by her side. The second reason was because she shown everyone, she had never been around a place like this, she would become a target for all the men here who wanted to sleep with a woman tonight.

“A glass of wine for the lovely lady, and whisky on ice for me.” He said to the bartender as he would prep the three drinks for everyone.

The bartender would come with all three drinks, handing them to everyone. Yuurei would pay for Kailani and his own drink as he figured Brone wouldn’t want him paying for his drink.

“That drink shouldn’t be too rough for you, and if you feel like you want something stronger let me know. Just don’t chug it.” He wasn’t sure if Kailani had started drinking alcohol in the past two years, so he gave her tips, so she didn’t spit all out.

Yuurei would look around and it seemed like a bunch if not all these guys were part of the same gang. It wasn’t just that, but there were a lot of females surrounding specific guys here.

“So, I guess we do our best, enjoy our time and show them we’re friendly.” He said to the group as he took a sip of his whiskey.

The dwarf hopped onto the bar stool and gave the bartender a wink to which the bartender just looked at him and said "You're a bit sweaty, aren't you?" as he began preparing the dwarf's ale.

"The gym tis but one of my finest visits, good sir" Brone chuckled just as Kailani and Yuurei pulled up. Soon enough the three drinks were presented and the dwarf paid for his own ale. As he had downed a bit of his drink, Brone took a quick look around the taproom, seeing the majority of the patrons seem to wear similar attire or colors while their expressions were similar as well. A good number of the patrons had looked in their direction and the dwarf simply gave them a simple nod to be discreet. It wasn't difficult for him to act natural, he's been in taverns and bars since he was old enough to drink, several upon several decades ago.

"The looks upon these folk are more or less harden like granite, so being smooth will be a tad difficult of course" Brone chuckled at his pun so hard he nearly spilled his drink, he raised his hand to the bartender, but when the proprietor pretended he didn't even notice, the dwarf shrugged, "I guess the man's got pebbles in his ears" and he took another swig from his drink, "Take yer time with the wine, lass, ye'll be a'right" he raised his mug to Kailani, trying to help her relax her nerves given he noticed how uneasy she seems.

As Yuurei took her hand, it took the wood elf by surprise, it had been over two years since they'd done so and it felt a little weird this time around. Kailani couldn't quite explain it, perhaps it was due to Yuurei confessing to her, but the physical contact felt less like the action of a friend and more like something else. It left her feeling flustered, but she tried to act natural, lest it caused the trio issues.

"A-ah right." She stammered, taking a deep breath to settle her nerves before picking up the glass and bringing it to her lips, the aroma of the fruity and earth scents of the wine stinging her nose as it drew close. She hadn't exactly told Yuurei all the details of their two years apart, but while she was uncomfortable in a tavern full of possible gang members, she wasn't quite a newbie when it came to alcohol anymore. Not since she started partying with the rest of the Blue Pegasus members.

She'd take a sip at first, swishing it around in her mouth to get a real feel for the flavour. It was alright, it definitely wasn't her favourite, she preferred a sweeter drink, like a Moscato or a fruity cider, but the wine served to her wasn't the worst by far. Within seconds she'd down the whole glass, giving Yuurei a wry smile and a wink towards Brone as she clicked her fingers to order another.

"Well, that really helped settle the nerves." She smiled, already feeling more confident now that she had some liquid courage, "Well, while I'm not really the type to normally do so, if you want, I could probably get real friendly with them." she teased Yuurei, knowing full well he'd be completely against it.

Yuurei

Yuurei would watch her take a sip of the wine, but soon after she would just down the whole glass. His eyes widen a bit as he blinked a bit. He was a bit confused about what she had been doing the last two years. He didn’t remember her drinking before, but it seemed like she had acquired that during his absence. That was good because he felt as if she wouldn’t fit in, but he was at ease now. The light mage would become flustered at Kailani’s words, yes, she was right, and he was opposed to it, but they weren’t together and even if he became jealous, she was her own person.

“Do what you got to do, just don’t go too far with it unless you want me to crack some skulls.” He said to her as he has shown her that he got a little jealous with her words as his eyes would scan the area.

There were girls that were looking at him and waving at him to get his attention. The light mage would look at them and he would give them a smirk before looking away from them. He would take more of his drink and would get to work. The light mage would get up from his seat now and he would make his way to converse with other people.

Brone took another swig of his drink and gave a small grunt, slightly annoyed that no one reacted to his joke, normally a joke like that would cause an entire tavern back at home to roar into laughter, he figured it was a difference in culture with the humans and elves. He looked over to Kailani and noticed her downing her drink and throwing a wink his way, "Now that's what I'm talking about" it warmed his heart seeing how grown she had become, although her face hadn't age like Yuurei did, more than likely was because the young lady is of full elven blood while Yuurei had only half.

"Well I think ye should get as friendly as possible, isn't that part of the quest?" Brone whispered to them, though after hearing Yuurei's reply, he then understood what he meant, which then caused him to blush, his cheeks turning red, "Ah, the alcohol" he blamed his cheeks getting flushed on his drink as he turned away, slightly embarrassed.

As Yuurei got up from his seat, so did the dwarf, readying to strike up conversation, which to him wasn't a problem, after all, his clan had always been very social dwarves.

Kailani always found Brone a hoot to hang around with, she would definitely have to go drinking with him sometime when they weren't busy working. Yuurei on the other hand seemed to have gotten fairly pissed off at her comment. The wood elf rolled her eyes at his reply, pouting a bit as she watched him walk off to join some patrons at their table. She had obviously been joking around, why was he getting so serious all of a sudden?

With a  sigh, she'd lift her second drink and down that one too, ordering a third. This one she'd take her time with, figuring the previous too would be enough for her to properly settle her nerves about talking with strangers, her social anxiety wasn't quite as crippling as it was a few years ago, but it was definitely still a thing that made it difficult for her to speak to strangers. Eying up the room, she'd attempt to pick what looked like the least threatening table, brushing her hair out of her face as she sauntered her way over.
