Zagan's Dungeon

Greetings, adventurer. You have probably already heard about Zagan's Dungeon by now. What? You haven't? Oh, let me tell you in that case. There is talk about a dungeon located in Worth Woodsea with an immense amount of treasures inside of it. Gold, scrolls, equipment, and more. At least, that is what the rumors say. Many guilds have already dispatched teams to enter the dungeon and secure the treasures inside, but came back empty-handed when they found out that the dungeon is sealed. Unfortunately, I'm too old to venture into the vast woods of Worth Woodsea and enter that dungeon myself to clear its rewards. It's sad, right? You youngsters sure have it good. Hmm. Unless? Okay, hear me out. I might be old, but I can still hear quite well. And trust me, I hear a lot. I believe that the dungeon can be opened with a certain method. I'll share it with you in return for a share of the rewards? Agreed? Okay, so...

Event Conditions

  • Each party must consist of three to four members.

  • Each party will be given a different objective to clear before they have to venture into the dungeon.

  • Each party must consist of members of the same guild. Missing slots of a guild group may be filled with one or two guildless members of the same alignment.

  • Guildless members cannot form a team of their own. They must fill the open slots of other guilds, should they have open slots and match their alignments.

  • There can only be one team per guild.

  • There can only be a maximum of seven teams based on the amount of guilds.

  • Each user may only participate with a single character.

  • Once sign-ups have ended, topics will be made by staff with the appropriate titles in which participants may begin posting.

  • Participants are given 48 hours to post for their turn, after which they are skipped and disqualified.

  • Disqualification means that no rewards shall be given to the user.

  • Each topic related to the event must be ended with - Zagan's Dungeon in the title.

  • The topics related to the event won't take up any slots for participants, nor will they be required to travel as long as the topic starter uses - Zagan's Dungeon in the topic title.

  • Please use the template provided below to sign up for the event. Only one person needs to fill in the template and submit the names of the other members of their team.

Event Details

  • Form your teams on Discord. Find guildless members to take up a slot should you not be able to fill up your team. They must somehow match your guild's alignment.

  • Rewards are kept a secret. They will be revealed after the event has been cleared.

Details

Deadline: The deadline of the event is Monday 17th of July. This means that posts after Sunday no longer count.

Difficulties: The difficulties simply mean more words and more posts. The real difficulty is in the posts. Splitting the number of posts over the number of days requires teams to coordinate with each other properly to ensure that everyone is on schedule.

Start: The person forming the group must post in this topic to select a floor and difficulty e.g. we want to do Floor of the Vile Minotaurs at Hard. After that they must start the topic at Zagan's Treasury. See below for topic title.

Topic: The topic of the event itself does not require traveling. The topic must be made at Zagan's Treasury in Worth Woodsea. The title is the name of the event along with the difficulty e.g. Floor of the Murdering Rabbits - Low.

Timer: Participants must reply to each other's post within 48 hours.

Posting: Double-posting is not allowed. This makes the event extra difficult. Should someone miss their deadline, they are considered automatically DQed. This forfeits all the rewards of that participant. The punishment carries over in the next event.

Custom Unique: This only affects one person in the team. The resell value of this item is 0 jewels. Please do not roll if you have no need for one. Let your fellow guildsmen roll for it instead.

Objectives: Clearing the objective before reaching the total amount of words/posts does not mean that the topic is over. The topic is over once the number of posts has been reached.

Note: Groups of 3 must do 3 additional posts per person to complete their floor.

Extra: In the first post, the user enters the dungeon as a group and is teleported to a random floor. After that, the posts in the dungeon starts. The posts will be read for continuity. Should a post be nonsense (not related to clearing the Dungeon) it won't be counted. Furthermore, if it becomes clear that the posts were written beforehand through a pattern they won't count either. This means no indication of replying to what the previous posters have stated in their post.

Difficulties

Low: This difficulty requires each participant to do 3 posts. The total amount of words must exceed 1000 words in the end per participant.

  • 100,000J
  • 5000XP
  • 5 SP or 100MP
  • 5% Discount on First Generation Dragon Slayer

Medium: This difficulty requires each participant to do 5 posts. The total amount of words must exceed 1500 words in the end per participant.

  • 200,000J
  • 10,000XP
  • 10 SP or 200MP
  • 10% Discount on First Generation Dragon Slayer

Hard: This difficulty requires each participant to do 7 posts. The total amount of words must exceed 2000 words in the end per participant.

  • 400,000J
  • 15,000XP
  • 15 SP or 300MP
  • 20% Discount on First Generation Dragon Slayer

Hardcore: This difficulty requires each participant to do 10 posts. The total amount of words must exceed 2500 words in the end per participant.

  • 800,000J
  • 20,000XP
  • 20 SP or 400MP
  • 20% Discount on First Generation Dragon Slayer

Floor of the Murder Rabbits

The enemies on this floor are white murder rabbits. They often try to disguise themselves as innocent creatures to get their targets to lower their guard. Once they know they can slit the throats of their victims without resistance, they quickly become bipedal and grab their weapons. Though, if someone sees through their innocent disguise, they will immediately become violent to avoid casualties of their own.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Murder Rabbits appears as a large jungle. It is 100 meters in length and 50 meters in width. It is not possible to dash from one side to the other because it is filled with trees and vines.

Objective: Find the little handbell which is hidden somewhere on the floor while dealing with the Murder Rabbits as well. Once found, ring the handbell. It places all the Murder Rabbits into sleep and opens a large door.

Difficulty: Low or Medium

Enemies: There are hundreds of Murder Rabbits on this floor. Don't underestimate them becomes of their size. They are incredibly fast and nimble allowing them to dodge all small spells. Larger spells are more useful, however, it may harm fellow guildsmen as well.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Floor of the Sadistic Goblins

The enemies of this floor are sadistic goblins. Contrary to their better-known common goblin counterparts, these small-sized, vile creatures are blood thirsted and mass-murdering goblins that have been tainted by the powers of the void. Although they are not particularly strong, they are armed with rudimentary weapons and armor. However, their strength lies in their numbers; fueled by their unending thirst for murder, Sadistic Goblins swarm their enemies with their superior numbers in a suicidal charge. The only way to stop a Sadistic Goblin's attack is to kill it first.

It is said that once in a while a Goblin Lord is born from within the Sadistic Goblin tribe, far stronger physically than any other regular goblin and possessing particular intellect. Unlike their wild and irrational brethren, a Goblin Lord's true power lies in their ability to reason, plot, and lead other goblins.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Sadistic Goblins appears as the ruins of a large abandoned castle. There are three different tiers of wooden and stone walls leading to the fortress in the center. However, the battlements and other defensive structures show considerable damage and wear, so it could be possible to sneak past them.

Objective: Find the Goblin Lord's Club and break it in half. Hidden within the Goblin Lord's chambers at the heart of the fortress, the Goblin Lord's Club allows a Goblin Lord to control a horde through magical power. Once the club is broken, a large door outside the fortress will open while the Sadistic Goblins start fighting each other for the leader position. Escape before they choose someone to lead them.

Difficulty: Low or Medium

Enemies: There are hundreds of Sadistic Goblins on this floor. However, only a handful of them will be in patrol duty on the walls. Make sure to slip undetected while the rest of them toy with their captives. As soon as you are noticed, the Goblin Lord will order a full-scale attack against the intruders. The goblins are weak against magic spells and easy to deal with in physical combat, but their numbers might overwhelm even the most seasoned of adventurers. When the Goblin Lord is leading them, they might even make use of ambushes, attack formations, and other tactics difficult to deal with. The Goblin Lord himself is incredibly strong, but he is very vulnerable against magic and ranged attacks.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Floor of the Underworld Hounds

The enemies of this floor are Underworld Hounds. Hailing from the underworld, these ferocious beasts have sharp teeth and long claws that are able to tear through flesh and armor pretty easily. Being accustomed to living in the depths of the underworld, they are able to completely sense other beings even in absolute darkness. Furthermore, most of them are capable of using shadow magic to a certain degree for concealing their presence.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Underworld Hounds appears as 500 meters long, 20 meters wide cavern corridor. Not a single trace of light enters the whole floor, so it is easy to trip and bump against the walls and stalagmites littering the whole place if you don’t have anything to light the way.

Objective: Cross the large door at the end of the cavern corridor.

Difficulty: Medium

Enemies: There are two packs of Underworld Hounds living on this floor, with 24 beasts in total. Making full use of the darkness and their shadow magic, they will stealthily surround any intruders before springing into attack. Since they can perfectly see in the darkness, the difficult terrain poses no trouble for them. All Underworld Hounds are intolerant to light magic or other sources of illumination, screeching in pain and hiding in the shadows at the mere sight of it. However, they instantly use their shadow magic to launch attacks against the source of light in the hopes of extinguishing it as soon as possible.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Floor of the Warrior Kobolds

The enemies of this floor are Warrior Kobolds. Unlike the weak goblins of other floors, Kobolds are physically strong humanoid beasts that dedicate their entire lives to fighting and polishing their skills. Standing in their two legs at 1.7 meters height, most Warrior Kobolds are fairly proficient in the use of weapons and armor in combat. Only a few of them specialize in combat magic though, able to fire offensive spells against their enemies or buff their allies.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Warrior Kobolds appears as the heart of an active volcano, rivers, and pools of lava flood a 200 by 50 meter area. There are numerous large patches of hardened rock here and there, making for stepping ground in an otherwise unpassable terrain.

Objective: As soon as you enter the place, a Kobold Shaman will detect your presence and cast a spell that makes the lava rise slowly. Defeat all of the Warrior Kobolds and leave through the large door that appears before the lava level rises enough to cover the entire floor.

Difficulty: Medium or Hard

Enemies: There are a bunch of Warrior Kobolds scattered across the floor wielding rare weapons and armor. Some of them are armed with bows, so be careful of their ranged attacks. The Warrior Kobolds are stronger than the average human and are able to fight proficiency in the terrain. Furthermore, there is a group of 5 Shaman Kobolds that are able to use fire magic to cast long-range attacks and buff the rest of their allies' stats.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Floor of the Vile Minotaurs

The enemies of this floor are Vile Minotaurs. Standing 2.5 meters tall, these gargantuan monsters boast unparalleled physical strength. Usually wielding large battle axes, these half-men half-bull beasts are able to deal devastating charging attacks against their victims. Even if not the smartest of creatures, their raw power and natural resistance to magic attacks makes them one of the most dangerous monsters to fight.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Vile Minotaurs appears as a gargantuan labyrinth. Magical in nature, the walls of the labyrinth can bend and shape in different forms to ensure that any person inside will never find the way out. The walls extend all the way to the 5-meter-tall ceiling, making sure it is impossible to climb or fly above them.

Objective: As soon as you enter the labyrinth, each of the members of the party will find themselves isolated. A magic bracelet will materialize on each of the adventurer’s arm, with a fractured gem that glows with a faint light. When the bracelet detects another bracelet wearer coming closer, the gem shard will glow brighter. Reunite the 4 gem shards together to dissipate the labyrinth’s illusion and escape through the large door that appears at the end.

Difficulty: Hard or Hardcore

Enemies: There are 4 Vile Minotaurs roaming across the labyrinth. They have particularly strong natural sensory magic, able to sense physical and magic beings in a 25-meter radius. They are equipped with Unique-grade battle axes and boast minor magical resistance. As soon as they detect an intruder coming within their surroundings, they will deal a devastating charge with their horns and are even able to break through the labyrinth's walls.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Floor of the Mad Flame Lich

The enemy of this floor is the Skeleton Lord. A terrifying, powerful being brought from the depths of madness itself. Its body is virtually impervious to physical and magical attacks, his bones held together by arcane magic and rites of old. In order to become a Flame Lich, a lich must fuse their phylactery with the core of a skeletal dragon, obtaining hellfire magic in the process.

Even if fighting a Flame Lich in it of itself is already a daunting task, their true power comes from the ability to rise legions of undead skeletons from the ground to fight alongside him. Stories of heroes defeating a Flame Lich are few and sparse, but all of those that still exist, have entered the realms of legends.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Mad Flame Lich appears as a 100 meter-diameter colosseum. Flat stone tiles cover the entire area, while a massive wall of ghostly blue fire completely surrounds and illuminates the arena.

Objective: As soon as you enter the floor, a Flame Lich sitting atop a golden throne in the middle of the room will awake from their slumber. There are no tricks or shortcuts for overcoming the following battle. Defeat the Skeleton Lord and crush his core for the large door at the end of the room to open.

Difficulty: Hardcore

Enemies: There is only one Flame Lich in this floor. Having defeated countless adventurers, he is armed with a Legendary sword that he obtained from a fallen hero. The Flame Lich is able to regenerate up to S-Rank damage per turn while having Moderate Physical Resistance and Minor Magic Resistance. Able to use hellfire magic, the Flame Lich's dark flames lose fire magic's innate weaknesses while dealing damage over time. Furthermore, he can summon up to 100 low-grade skeleton warriors (C-rank) each turn without the need of motions. Only the most observant of adventurers will be able to notice that the partly exposed large gem at their core becomes vulnerable every 2 turns, glowing in a faint blue light. If the core is damaged while in this state, it will strip the Flame Lich of his resistances for the following round before returning to normal. The core must receive 8x S-rank damage in total. Each user can only deal 1x S-rank damage per turn to the core at most. This includes a combination of physical and magical attacks.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.
