Monster Hunt - Angelic Watcher (Brone, Yuurei) Empty Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:11 pm

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone Heavyaxe was laughing at his own joke as he and Yuurei were making their way to the training room for another sparring session. It was a rare moment these days that they were in such a good mood given that the guild had to deal with the invasion of the other world and other issues that plague the land.

The constant issues that tend to circulate the northern lands tend to reach the ears of Paradise Dawn, which usually keeps guild members on the move and rarely home, especially Yuurei who tends to vanish for days. But this was necessary, for the land of Fiore needed them. But for now, peace came with the evening night, no sound of chaos was heard, just the crickets in the distance outside of the guild hall and the footsteps of the dwarf and the half-elf.

As they turned the corner, Brone noticed a figure heavily cloaked with their hood covering their face. The figure was standing in front of the doorway that lead to the training dome at the end of the hall, "Oi ! Are ye lost?" the dwarf wasn't sure who the person was, but he didn't recognize the gauntlet of the figure that held the handle of a large sword that was pointing downward onto the floor. The hood outline of the head through the hood was lowered over the handle of the sword as if the person was either contemplating something or praying.
In prayer:

"Yuurei Starlight of Athalran, son of Elijah Starlight" the voice of the figure echoed throughout the corridor, sounding light but heavy at the same time. Though he was at the end of the hall, the voice of the figure was clear as a bell, and had power behind it, something not natural. Brone came a to a stop and instinctively two of his hands went to the handles of two of his axe that were beneath his blue cloak, "You committed a sin for severing your oath to Uriel and stealing the grace of one of the Lord's most high angels." The figure turned the sword upward and held it in his hands in a prepared position, then black wings were suddenly shown behind the figure's back as if shadows.
Wings of the Watcher:

"Oh hell no!" Brone said as he drew forth his weapons; his golden axe, golden spear, green axe and blue spear. His body quickly took a fighting stance as his cape spread away from him as if a gust of wind whipped it up, revealing the golden armor beneath.

"Relinquish the grace that is not yours and repent, or be struck down by the wrath of the Lord" The corridor was filled with a powerful spiritual pressure that caused Brone's neck hairs to stand on end. A bead of sweat formed on his brow as he realized his heart was beating fast. This was fear, something similar to whenever Yuurei went full angel. This fight will not be a normal one.

Yuurei


Yuurei, Renji and Brone were on their way to the training room. He was always glad to fight Brone and he wanted to show off his new magic that he had acquired recently. It was going to be awesome because it would be the first time Brone would see it. While they were moving around, they would speak a bit before they turned the corner to meet with a mysterious figure by the doorway to the training dome.

The Nephilim could feel the aura behind this being and they were no joke. The two of them would have to go all out from how he was just standing. His demeanor changed as he was on guard from the sense of the person. Renji was sweating from the strength he felt coming from this thing.

It was then the man spoke Yuurei’s name, and what he said made Yuurei bring out a smirk. It made him nervous to have himself be called out like that. He would rub the back of his head when he heard the being, but he wasn’t planning on giving his powers up to anybody. He was about step forward and say something, but Brone cut him off. His friend made him laugh as he figured that this was a fight that was unavoidable.

He heard the angelic being once more and when he shown his wings, Yuurei would activate his magic. His body would glow and his Berserker’s Suit, and his Lord Drakkon’s Helmet would appear on him. He would bring out his Yang gauntlet and his Gae Bolg from his arsenal as well as he got into a fighting position.

“I already gave back Uriel’s grace. This power of being a Nephilim is mine and mine alone. You will not take that from me. You can go back and tell Uriel and your lords that I am not to be messed with.” He said to him.

Whoeever this being was, was indeed not to be messed with.

“You didn’t attack first, so how about this.” He would sent his Gae Bolg flying straight to the being and he would dodge it without a problem.

Yuurei had a smirk on his face his spear would switch direction as it would circle around, and it would trey to stab the Watcher from his back. He would dodge it again, but the weapon would continue to fly around the area.

“You choose not to use the power you stole against me?” He asked Yuurei as he was moving around with that big sword like it was nothing.

It was then Yuurei would sense danger from the being. He would lunge away from the attack and his armor would activate as it would do everything it could to protect Yuurei. A bunch of dark arcane energy would be sent flying straight to the Watcher. He would feel the damage from the attack as he would fly away from Yuurei.

The hunter would get back on his feet as he looked at him. He didn’t expect him to use a spell of that caliber so early.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone noticed Yuurei's new armor appear. For a moment he acknowledged it, impressed by the craftsmanship, but the watcher took his attention again. The battle then began. The angel closed the distance pretty quickly and was able to move the large sword without issue, even passing it back and forth between his hands as if it was a small blade. "You returning Uriel's initial power doesn't mean you fully relinquished the angelic grace; your mortal mind is comprehending material and energy, I speak of grace in form and concept!" Then the arcane dark energy exploded from Yuurei's new armor, keeping the angle on his toes.

The dwarf was moving as much as he could, but the angel and the nephilim were so mobile, it was difficult to keep up, though this wasn't new to him; it was reminiscent of when they were fighting dragons. Getting back to the fight, Brone managed to close the watcher's flank and swung his golden axe to which the watcher had avoided and was going to dart towards Yuurei, but the dwarf cut him off by jabbing his golden spear at his chest, forcing him to dodge backwards, away from Yuurei. Brone then took this chance and jabbed his blue spear at the watcher which successfully knicked him. Though it didn't harm him, it did apply a bit of frost upon the angel's side.

"Ye need to slow yerself, stranger" Brone swung his green axe, but missed the angel who darted out of the way in midair. It seems his wings didn't need to flap in order to propel himself, this being was able to swim through the air. "Assumptions and sentencing without trial?" the dwarf swung his golden axe again, but the watcher was flying out of his reach.

"Uriel may have a soft spot for them, but Nephilims are abomination, no Nephilim should run free; it was Uriel who kept other angels of the Lord from seeking their destruction" The watcher then stood between Brone and Yuurei. He pointed his sword at Brone, the blade hummed with radiant energy. Then the energy erupted, brightening the corridor with radiant light. Brone swung his green axe and negated the blast. The light return to normal. The dwarf saw that the space between him and the angel was burnt; that entire section of the corridor was scorched and blackened.

The watcher then pointed the end of his sword at Yuurei, and once again the end of his blade hummed with energy, readying the spell again. Brone wasn't sure if Yuurei was able to negate such a powerful spell, so he intended on negating it himself, but the moment he took a step onto the scorched floor, his boot lit on fire and the feeling of shame began to enter his heart. He quickly pulled back; the scorched marks had some kind of lingering effect. "Yuurei! Don't let the spell touch you!" the dwarf called out, knowing he wouldn't be fast enough to stop it.

Yuurei

Yuurei would continue to move around the area as he wasn’t trying to get hit by anything the Watcher had to throw at him. His spear was moving around as it was trying to get a hold of its target. The Watcher had kept dodging and it was why Brone was able to hit him. This was interesting to watch him move around while he spoke and complained. He was explaining to them something that Yuurei could couldn't care about.

That was when he saw the watcher stop his movement. When he had tried to attack Brone it didn’t work and it would seem like he would try and do the same thing.

Yuurei would switch his Yang with his Midas and he would negate the spell as he heard Brone’s words. He would negate it without a problem, and he would see the scorching ground. He shook his head as if he would get him back for destroying his property.

Yuurei would squint a bit and a bunch of energy would come out of his helmet. He would make sure to stay clear of Brone as he felt the massive amount of energy. The Watcher saw his magic had been negated and the attack from Yuurei coming straight for him. He would dodge the attacked but remembered too late that the spear was still flying around. It would hit him on his back, and he would roar from the pain. It wasn’t just that, but he was annoyed with everything that they were throwing at him.

“If Uriel stopped them from attacking Nephilims, then why are you here now? You’re going against him?” He asked him.

“Shut up you abomination, if only you give up the grace that was bestowed upon you, then I wouldn’t have to be here. If you keep this up then you two will be smite by my blade.” He said to Yuurei.

He was surprised that these two had the ability to negate magic, so he figured that he would use a smite that was not magic from the heavens themselves.

Yuurei’s spear would come right back to him and he would switch the spear out for something else. This time he would take out his vacuum gun as he looked at him. The watcher would use his other move as he pointed his blade once again at Yuurei. The hunter would see this as he would start running and he would look at him. It was then he would feel danger coming from behind, and he would point his gun to the sky, and he would activate his spell. He would suck the attack into his gun and then he would point it back to the Watcher.

“Return to sender.” He said as he would shoot out the smite at the as the vacuum gun would blow it at him.

The Watcher would see this, and his eyes would widen as he would dodge that with everything he had. He would sigh with relief as he couldn’t believe that something like this could happen. Yuurei would use his schoolbag to change his weapon again and this time he would be wielding his Zabimaru.

“You didn’t answer me why didn’t Uriel stop you from coming here?” He asked him.

Brone Heavyaxe
Luckily for Brone, Yuurei had followed up and negated the smite that was heading for him. Yuurei and the Angel engaged in conversation and combat while Brone tapped the scorched floor before him with his green blade. His suspicion was correct, the axe negated the lingering effect on corridor, but the scorched mark was still there; this would be a difficult time for the custodian.

Brone rushed down the hall, trying to flank the angel who's back was exposed. The dwarf intended on slamming his weapons upon the cloaked watcher's back, but the next moved surprised him. The angel dodged Yuurei's gunfire as the smite spell was sent down the hall; because the returned spell missed it's target, it was heading for Brone. The dwarf was then pulled out of the way just in time. He had forgotten that his blue cloak had a mind of it's own, "Thank ye" he told the cloak, but he didn't slow, he continued to the foe.

"Because of Uriel lack of judgement bestowing such power and losing it, she is awaiting judgement from the highest circle, she cannot act until then; as for me, I've been sent to clean up her mess" the voice of the angel was as if it came from everywhere part of the corridor, not just from the cloaked figure. He raised his massive sword, it's energy humming.

Brone couldn't allow another powerful spell to be cast from this angelic being, so he leaped at the angel, his golden axe was replaced with the black axe Dhuraindarin, "Uriel got her grace, then begone!" he brought the axe down as he flew above the angel, nearly touching the ceiling. The blade slammed against the angelic sword, shattering it. The angel looked back in surprise... though his face was still cloaked, so it was just an assumption, "Yuurei's using the nephilim power to help people, that should be enough!"

The dwarf made a quick jab with his blue spear at the angel's leg, a bit of frost appeared on the spot where he knicked him, then he jumped back a meter preparing for the angel's retaliation.

The shards of the blade fell, but then stopped in midair. They became light and quickly reforged itself into the blade again in the angel's hand, good as new. Brone's jaw dropped, his reaction gave the angel enough time to swing the blade back, slamming into the golden armor of the dwarf and causing him to stagger back and leaving a large gash in the armor.

"Stolen power is still stolen and nephilims are still sinful creations!" the watcher turned to face the dwarf and used his free hand to grab him by the collar of the golden armor. Brone stood his ground, confident in his sturdiness, but to his surprise, he felt himself move. Both him and the angel became pure light and was shot down the corridor away from Yuurei.

Within but a second, the cluster of light burst through the double doors. Next thing Brone knew, he was sent flying across the room of the training dome, then he tumbled on the floor until he came to a full stop. He got to one knee and looked up to see the Watcher was walking towards him with his sword ready, "Know this, mortal; Yuurei and you shall receive punishment" the sword hummed as he raised it.

"What the hell did I do!?" Brone yelled as he crossed both his axes before him and crossed both his speared to try and hopefully block the attack.

Yuurei

Yuurei would hear the Watcher’s words and it would seem like what he did had caused Uriel to be imprisoned. That wasn’t good and he would shake his head as he would look at his sword and then change his Midas Gauntlet for the Yang Gauntlet again. He heard Brone as it would seem like he was trying his best to give them the advantage they need. It was only when he saw the sword return to normal he knew that destroying the weapon was useless.

“It is not stolen I made it my own. You guys are just scared that I’ve gotten too strong.” He said to the watcher.

It was then he would see that Brone was grabbed and taken away from him. His eyes widen because he didn’t expect that to happen. His eyes closed for a second and when they opened one of them was gold while the other one was still read. His wings would sprout from his back as he was using his half-transformation. He would show this damn angelic force what it meant to attack and try to harm someone dear to him.

“I will show you what a Nephilim can do.” He muttered to himself as he would start flying and heading in the direction they had gone to.

When he saw the door to the training dome was open, he would enter it to see the Watcher walking toward Brone with his sword facing him. The hunter would shake his head as he looked at Zabimaru and he would stretch his arm straight at him. It would become ten meters long as he swung his blade at the back of the Watcher. He would dodge the attack as he would see the abomination and he could see that this man was cursed.

“You not only won’t return Uriel’s gift, but you’re cursed. You are truly an abomination.” He said as he also noticed that Yuurei had an eye of a Shinigami.

He didn’t know what was going on, but this being was something far greater than just a Nephilim. Yuurei had watched him dodge his attack, but he would allow it to just end there. The sword would split into six parts soon after the miss and they would be sent flying straight to the Watch. He would dodge four of them, but two of them would hit. Yuurei would just smile as the sword would disappear and he would hold onto another weapon.

It wasn’t a weapon though, but a shield that Brone had once before he destroyed it. It had found itself to reforge itself and in Yuurei’s possession. His arm would snap back into a regular arm and the Nephilim would punch it as he would smile at him.

“My treasure of weapons will be enough to take you out. You must feel the damage from everything we’ve hit you with. You are scared of me being an abomination, but sadly I will become something much greater than you will ever be.” He said.

The Watcher would look at him and he didn’t know what else the man would be using. Still, from his report, this was not something this guy could do before.

“Brone you’re going to have to use your transformation. That is not someone you could beat with regular power alone.” He warned his friend.

Brone Heavyaxe
Before the watch could strike, Yuurei drew his attention. The angel was forced to forgo his attack to dodge the incoming attack from the nephilim. The new weapon Yuurei had moved like a snake and came apart, peaking the dwarf's interest, but Brone had to pull himself together and reminded himself that he was in the middle of a fight.

"I care not of being gaining power like you do, that is from the sin of pride and it's obvious that is your main sin" the watcher shrugged off the attacks from the breakable snake-like weapon Yuurei had. He then positioned his sword, point towards the floor, and raised his head to the glass ceiling, as if in prayer again, "You refuse to relinquish the power given to you, sin of greed". The watcher continued with short monologue as Brone acknowledged what Yuurei suggested to him.

Brone nodded as he gripped his golden spear, the Assegai of Shaka Zulu, which emitted white magical energy that swirled around the dwarf. Within a moment, Brone grew to be eleven feet tall, wider, with fur all throughout his body; his white ponytail broke out of the hairtie and became a wild white mane like that of a lion's.

"Even though you have great power already, you still desire more, sin of gluttony; you went on a war path of revenge using said grace, sin of wrath; what other sins has your soul been damned to, Yuurei Starlight?" the Watcher lowered his head to look directly at Yuurei.

"Well he does like women a lot" Brone's voice was deep with a growl similar to a lion who was ready to pounce.

"Sin of lust then" the angel said, but before he could say anything futher, Brone leaped at the angelic being with great speed, swinging his black at him, but the angel was quick to sidestep and avoid it; the dwarf then swung his green axe, but feinted it and was actually jutting the blue spear at the angel. With the newfound speed and the feint, the watcher wasn't able to avoid the spear, which placed another patch of frost on him, slowing him further. Brone jabbed his golden spear, but the watcher wouldn't allow another attack to him, so he sidestepped again and swung his large sword. Brone, with his new speed, managed to jump back in time to avoid the hit. He then ran around the angel; halfway around the circle, he dashed at the foe again.

The watcher bellowed with anger in his booming voice yelled, "Enough!" as his body radiated brilliant light. The awesome power sent chills through Brone's body, fear caused him to stop in his tracks. This type of fear he hadn't felt since he was a child. Even as an adult, he had been scared of situations and monsters, but it never stopped his determination, but this was different, it was as if Brone was a defenseless child again, scared of his father. "I will destroy the both of you before the wrath of the Lord descends from the heavens!" he said as he turned to face Yuurei.

Brone looked up to the glass ceiling and noticed something, "Yuurei" Brone's voice was shaky. From the night sky above, several red dots was slowly growing, getting bigger. It took Brone a moment to realize something was falling from the sky and he felt this impending doom.

Yuurei


Yuurei would hear the Watcher speak and it would seem like he was naming the sins that Yuurei had within him. He had looked at his left hand and was counting the sins he was naming. He had named five of them and he would shake his head.

“Surprised you didn’t say I committed the other two sins. I would have made a joke like call me the seven deadly sins.” He laughed a bit as he would hear him screaming and telling them it was enough.

The way he sounded when was creepy and scary. The Nephilim could feel that he had used something unorthodox to speak to them. Still, it would seem like he was trying to mess with Brone. It was then Yuurei would see that Brone had stopped moving and it was as if he had felt fear. The hunter understood his friend, and it would seem like something was above them. He noticed something getting closing to them and his eyes widen when saw something coming down.

It was huge and he knew that if this crashed down on them it would wipe them out. He was sure he could block it but the damage would be inevitable.

“You got to be kidding me.” He said as he would look at the Watcher and then straight up again.

He would fly to the ceiling, and he would break through the glass as he couldn’t believe he had to be the one to deal with this. He was thinking about what in his arsenal could handle such a thing. It was like a meteorite that easily caught on fire heading straight to them.

He would meet the sulfur meteor right on the impact as it was against his shield. He had stretched his arm ten meters into the air to meet it as far as he could. He could feel the heat coming from the huge rock as it would pushing toward the ground slowly. Gravity was winning, but he wasn’t giving up. He would change the gauntlet from his left hand to Yin. A Taijitu symbol would appear below them and he would swing his fist in the direction of the meteor. He would use his Trigram’s Disruption and for a second everything would pause. He wasn’t sure it would work; his arm had snapped back to its normal form and then the meteor started cracking.

It would shatter into nothing, and he would look down at the watcher.

“What the hell were you doing? You were trying to kill everyone around the guild.” He said to the being that he was fighting.

Oh yeah, he had gotten Yuurei pissed, which was not a good thing. The young man was a berserker at heart, ready to lose control at any moment's notice. He would look at his shield and he would see that even though it was indestructible, the meteor had done some damage to it. He would switch his shield to Zabimaru and he would point it at the angelic being.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone watched as Yuurei broke through the glass ceiling and destroy the meteorite. Some of the fear within the dwarf receded. Enough for him to have his legs stop shaking. He sighed relief when he realized he could move again. The nephilim touchdown upon his return to the dome. Angered by the angel's attempt for the complete destruction of the guild.

"For the sake of ten innocent, I would spare them the Lord's wrath" The angel readied his sword as he faced Yuurei, "Unfortunately, none within Sodom and Gomora were free of sin". The sword hummed again, but before any magic can be cast, Brone launched himself at the angel, slamming his black axe into the divine sword and shattering it; though the sword would reforge again, breaking it prevented the spell from activating. As the sword was reforging, the watcher slammed a gauntlet fist into the chest of the lion-dwarf, shattering the golden armor entirely. Brone slid back, but prevented himself from falling.

He gritted his teeth, tightening his grip upon his weapons. Brone knew this enemy was too dangerous to be given anymore time, otherwise he may summon forth more meteors. The dwarf raised his black axe which became the golden axe again. He cried out a warcry which sounded like a lion's roar. His strength increased as his muscles bulged.

"Very well, since you dare keep your eyes upon me without humility, then you shall suffer the consequences" The angel's voice echoed as his body began to glow brilliantly. Brone launched himself forward and swung his weapons upon his foe. He brought down the golden axe, but the watcher blocked it with his sword. "SHAZAM!" the angel called. A flash of golden light coming from above caught Brone's attention, but he wasn't fast enough to realize what was happening. golden lightning struck down through the broken ceiling, and Brone was caught. His body fried and his consciousness nearly gave out. But through sheer will, he gain his focus and cried out with another roar as he swung his axes repeatedly, the angel blocked a few of the swings with his gauntlet hand and sword, but the assault was great. The extra two arms became a problem as the spears were constantly jabbing as the watcher was losing focus trying to deflect the blows, only managing to deviate half the blows while the other half continued to assault him.

"SHAZAM!" The watcher called again. Another flash of light, but this time Brone was ready, he raised his green axe above him and as the lightning struck the blade, it vanished along with it's brilliant light like it never happened. The dwarf continued with his barrage until the watcher gave up on trying to deflect the weapons and allowed the four arms to strike while he stabbed his divine sword into the stomach of the dwarf.

Brone stopped. The watcher then kicked the dwarf's chest, sending him flying off his sword and landing upon the ground. The watcher then turned to face Yuurei.

Brone coughed up blood. This was too familiar, those moments he had lost those fights with Yuurei, he fought with himself to keep awake, this time he needed to keep his focus, his lion form was strong and would keep him from losing too much blood. Hopefully Yuurei can handle it from here.

Yuurei

Yuurei was angry and it would seem like Brone was ready to continue to fight now. He was happy about that as his friend had gained his will to combat. He would watch his friend go on a barrage of attacks on the Watcher and the spell that landed on Brone had pissed him off. Those were dangerous blows, but it seemed like he was still going. The hunter would take in a deep breath before letting it out.

“Bankai!” He said this as he would awaken Zabimaru’s real form.

When he did this, he would watch Brone be stabbed by the blade of the Watcher. Yuurei’s eyes widen as he would Brone be kicked to the ground. The Nephilim was off, and he would meet with the Watcher. He would see this and Yuurei had switched his gauntlet back to the Yang gauntlet. He would swing Zabimaru and the serpent would move to the angelic being. He would dodge the attack and he would come from Yuurei’s left and he would swing his blade.

Yuurei would dodge the attack and he would swing Zabimaru once again. This time the Watcher would see this, and he would swing his blade to meet with Yuurei’s sword. The two of them would clash a few times, but Yuurei would separate the segments as they would be sent flying straight to him. He would do his best to dodge them and he would shout out the words once again but to Yuurei this time.

Yuurei kept his distance close to the man, and he would feel the blast shocking him, but it was light, so the damage wasn’t that great. His eyes were furious as his armor would activate once more and it would shock the Watcher. He would be hindered and all of a sudden he would find himself falling. Yuurei wasn’t done though as he would squint his eyes and his helmet would charge up and it would shoot straight down to the falling angel. It was then he would be engulfed by the photon arcane energy, and he would scream from the pain.

When the laser was done, so was the Watcher. He wasn’t around, but Yuurei wasn’t sure they had killed him or seen the last of him. He would soar straight to Brone as he would land on the ground, and he would disperse his transformation. He would pick his friend up and he would look at him.

“Let’s get you patched up, we can leave sparring for another day.” He said to Brone as he was concerned for him.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone's vision was blurring, but he could see movement and hear the sound of battle. There was a moment he heard a cry "Bankai!" and the next thing he knew, he could swear he saw a giant skeletal snake. The battle raged on as Brone was trying his best to steady his breathing and keep consciousness. Eventually he felt himself shrink, no longer the eleven foot lion, but the four foot dwarf. The pain from the wound was now more intense.

After closing his eyes for but a moment, he felt himself picked up by Yuurei. The battle was over and he didn't even know. It was all quiet save for Yuurei's footsteps as he ran towards the medical wing. The day was saved, though Brone wasn't sure if it was the last time they would see that Watcher, or any other angelic beings. And for but a moment, the dwarf had concern for Uriel.
