Yuurei

The group had been able to sleep through the night as they were going to need it for what was to come. This was good because Yuurei was exhausted, and this was much needed. When the time came, he would find himself waking up from the exposed sunlight that had come into his room, and he would prepare himself for what was going to be a long day. He refreshed himself and made sure that at least he could be clean before their trip to the cave. Once he was done with that, he would head downstairs to see that there were a lot of people hanging around the lobby area. It seemed like this place saw a lot of customers. The light mage had made his way to where he could order food and he would sit down as Renji would do the same thing.

“So, now we have a better lead on Ansem are you excited about what we might find?” He asked Yuurei.

The light mage would order their meal for the morning and when they went to prepare for it, he would look at Renji with a smile on his face.

“I’m actually looking forward to killing that bastard. Still, it seems like we’re so far even though we’re close.” He said as he waited for his meal and everyone else to make their way downstairs.3

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone Heavyaxe woke to the morning sunlight peeking through the shutters of the window. His first thought was of his hunger, he needed his breakfast, and his second thought was of the battle that would be inevitable. As he stood up from his bed, he began to stretch and flex, readying his body for the day. Once he was confident and satisfied, he donned his clothing and armor, however just before he had left out the room door, he stopped and found himself hesitating to grab the doorknob. HIs hand was shaking. He took another look at his hand and it stopped, though he wasn't sure if he was shaking at all or that he was still trying to wake up. Hopefully, it wasn't a bad omen of what's to come.

The dwarf headed down the stairs to the taproom where it seem to be quite busy. He smirked as he saw Yuurei and Renji already at a table. "Yer best breakfast meal, lass" he asked a waitress that was passing by. She happily nodded, recognizing the dwarf as one of the heroes who had defeated the horde of monsters the day prior, "Good to see ye up and ready" he sat across from Yuurei and gave him smirk, but then gave him a serious look, "Yer ready, aren't ye?" he asked. Brone recalled two years ago when Yuurei had first spoke of the vampire that he was looking for, now that they were so close to the goal, he could only imagine how the half-elf felt about this day.

Kailani Fleurn †
Despite how soundly she had slept, practically crashing after the events of the previous day, Kailani still felt incredibly tired and drained. The term 'eventful' barely began to describe it. Hordes of monsters, a giant yeti, the vision of seeing one of her friends covered in snow and the fear they might lose him. It had been an emotional rollercoaster, one she didn't feel like riding again just yet. Unfortunately, the wind mage was very much aware of just how eager her best friend would be to push on again today. Inching closer to his goals only fueled the fire within him.

With a yawn and a stretch, she'd make her way to the main room of the tavern, Nimbus cradled in her arms as she stroked him gently. With another yawn and a tired wave, she'd plop down at the table where the others had already gathered.

"Two more breakfasts I assume?" The waitress would ask, to which Kailani would force herself to nod in response.  As the woman walked off to tell the chef to prepare two more dishes, Rubbing the crusts that had built up in her sleep from her weary eyes, the dragon slayer would yawn once more.

"So what's the game plan, then?" the slayer asked. She already figured  Yuurei would want to head off as soon as they finished breakfast, but she wished to know if he had any detailed plans. Something a little more cautious other than simply attempting to recklessly crash through the enemy's front door. Which in all honestly, seemed to be a terrible idea, even if it was his usual way of dealing with things.

Yuurei

Yuurei was waiting for everybody to come down to get something to eat. The first to do so was Brone, and he would give him a smile before the serious look could be expressed. He leaned back on his chair as he was nodding his head to his friend.

“Yeah, today is the day I get revenge for the day of my parents.” He said this to Brone.

It wouldn’t take long for Kailani to show up with them and with that everybody had ordered their meal for the day. When she asked him what their game plan was, Yuurei thought about what to say. He had thought about it all night and he figured she would ask this.

“I wonder if whoever is guarding the cave will let us go in without a fight. But I highly doubt that. We can talk to them and see where it goes from there. Of course, Kai is going to be the one to make sure that we stay alive. I will try and keep the focus on me, even though Brone can take the hits just as well as I can. And Brone would go in for the surprise attacks. As for in the cave I will definitely light up the way, so I will be the one to go in first since we can’t assume the cave is a free and safe place to travel through.” He said this as he would take a break from talking and he would catch his breath.

While this was happening, Yuurei and Renji’s meal would come first. The light mage was going to wait for everyone’s food to come, but his stomach rumbled. He chuckled embarrassed by the noise, and they just started eating, but at a slow pace so they weren’t the first ones to finish.

“If you want you can add anything to the plan or give us ideas.” He said to them both.

The tap room was filled with happy patrons, satisfied with the outcome of the horde attack. People raising drinks, though it was early in the morning, to celebrate a victory for the people. Every now and then, citizens would send a nod or a smile their way and the dwarf would return the gesture.

By the time Kailani arrived and took a seat the table, they were all in the common mindset, they were fully aware that this day will lead to the fight Yuurei had been seeking for some time, and the tension in the air showed that this fight would certainly be a challenging one, nothing close to the fight with the horde of monsters they handled the day prior.

Brone had dug into his meal once his plate had reached the table; though Yuurei was genteel and waited for his companions, the dwarf didn't even think to wait, "Ye better finish up ye food, yer gonna need all the energy possible te fight that thing" he said to Yuurei in between bites. He turned to Kailani and nodded at her, pointing at her food, signaling he was speaking to her as well, "Whatever bruises we have from yesterday may not compare to the bruises of today, something my uncle use to say"

Halfway through his meal, he flagged down the waitress and ordered another plate. By the time he was done with his first, the second plate arrived, in which he began to dig into the moment it touched the table. He knew he would need all the energy possible; whatever is to come may be their last, but he didn't want to bring up such a negative thought. Yuurei is so close to his goal, and the dwarf wanted to make sure he had back up he could rely on.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kailani stared at the plate placed before her for a few seconds before lifting her fork and beginning to chow down. So it was a very simplistic plan after all, she wasn't surprised. Why had she thought there might have been a chance for it to be anything else? The wood elf sat in silence for a bit as she brooded over the plan. She highly doubted they'd be allowed to just storm through the cave without a fight and no one in their right mind would place a weakling in charge of guarding such an important entrance either.

Therefore, they were almost certainly going to have a tough fight just to gain access to the cave and they had zero ideas as to what dangers lurked further within either. Information was incredibly limited and with how secretive everything had been so far, she doubted a single person in town could even tell them more about what they could expect within the cave should they even manage to enter.  She'd have to be smart about her mana usage, saving it for heals and assistance over simply going all out. It wasn't like Yuurei's plan was terrible, and he was incredibly strong, she'd just have to put her faith in him.

"Alright, I will reserve my mana to the best of my ability."  She sighed, dabbing her mouth with a serviette as she finished her meal, "Just don't be too reckless. We don't know how reliable the information we do have is, and as you pointed out we have zero clue what lays beyond the guarded entrance." She'd begin to pet Nimbus again who was still finishing off his breakfast in an attempt to relieve some of the stress she was feeling. At the very least she was feeling a little more energised now that she had woken up properly and had a full belly, ready to tackle the day ahead, whatever that may entail.

Yuurei

Yuurei would listen to their words while he had finished his meals, and it would seem like they didn’t have any objectives on what they were going to have to do. He would push the plate forward, and he would pat his stomach as he had eaten well for the day. Renji had done the same thing and he would climb on Yuurei’s shoulder. He was ready to go, and he would hope everybody else was as well. He would empty his cup as he would the chair back and get up from his seat. The light mage would look at the two of them with a smile on his face.

“Thank you guys for coming along with me, now let’s see what’s waiting for us.” He said to them both as he would leave money on the table and walk out of the end.

He had remembered what the man had told him yesterday, and he would start walking towards the exit of the town and towards Marchen Mountain. The half-elf would say bye to those around the town, but once they were no longer in the town, their march to the Marches cave began. The snow was steeped as always, but there was no snowstorm or snow coming down. He kept moving through the snow as he was following the path the man had drawn out for him.

“Guys if things ever get too tough in our travel to Ansem, don’t hesitate to run okay.” He said this as he wanted them to know that he wouldn’t be upset if they had run away from a fight they couldn’t handle.

It wouldn’t take long, but Yuurei would find himself getting near a hole in the mountains, and someone was truly guarding the cave. He would wave towards them as he figured he would try to see if they could get through the cave without a fight.

“Hey, do you think you can allow us to get inside of the cave without trouble?” He asked her straight up hoping she would say yes.

Mya heard this and she would step forward in front of the cave. Her eyes looked at the five of them that were there.

“Please turn back. Ansem has ordered me to make sure that nobody can enter the cave. So, I ask you please leave. I don’t want anybody’s blood on my hands.” She said to Yuurei.

The light mage would look at everyone and then at Mya. He wished he could listen as it seemed like this person didn’t want to fight, but he couldn’t turn back.

“I’m sorry, but we need to get into the cave and see Ansem. He killed my parents.” He said to her as he was hoping she would feel pity and let them slide.

Brone Heavyaxe
The table was mostly quiet, though whenever they did speak, the tone was serious, they all were well aware that this situation was unique in the sense that all caution would have to be acknowledged. Though even in such a tough atmosphere, Brone didn't find trouble finishing his second plate in a reasonable amount of time.

What caught the dwarf's attention was Kailani mentioning reserving her mana. He thought back to the battles the day prior, they had victory in their hands without much trouble, but mainly because Kailani provided so much support through her magic, whether it was flight for aerial mobility, enhanced speed for ground mobility, pressing wind for crowd control or healing to preserve life; technically the group had returned from the mountainous region without a scratch because the wood elf pushed herself to the limit. Because she was weaving magic behind the front lines, Brone didn't truly see how much effort she was putting into the battle, and he was starting to realize that.

After the meal, they departed, fully armored and fully prepared. The snow was the same, layered and impeding slightly, but the trek continued. At some point, Yuurei suggested for him and Kailani to consider running if the situation gets out of hand, "To leave ye with the glory? We'll see" Brone laughed, though he was well aware of Yuurei's concern. Even if the battle went south, he couldn't find himself to turn tail, at least not without the entire group with him.

"Oy, Kailani" he had eventually walked up beside the wood elf at some point during the travel, "I appreciate the work ye put into keeping us on our toes" he would then give her a quick nod before walking up ahead. He didn't intend on making this a delicate moment, but he figured he would let her know that he was aware of her effort.

Eventually they reached the mouth of a cave where a woman stood in front. Brone didn't think the woman would be an obstacle until Yuurei had approached her. "Stand aside, miss, or I'll lop yer head off" Brone said as he pulled his steel axe from behind him. But he could tell that a battle was going to brew either way.

Kailani Fleurn †
Departing from the tavern alongside the others, Kailani would pull on her warm jacket, zipping it up with her beloved companion, Nimbus nestled inside the hood so he wouldn't get too cold on their travels. As they trekked through the snowy mountains towards the cave entrance they'd been told about the day prior her lilac eyes would find themselves shocked by Yuurei's words. While she understood his concern for their safety and it was true he was probably far stronger than both her and Brone combined, the idea of just running when he might need her support didn't sit too well with the wind mage. She had been brooding on these thoughts when the dwarf had approached her.

"Hmm?" She'd blink over to him, her face heating up at the sudden compliment, "Oh thank you." she replied, feeling a little embarrassed at being put on the spot so suddenly, as a gentle warmth filled her. The wood elf had always felt that she was by far the weaker of the three when it came to combat. However, hearing those words of appreciation and acknowledgement of her assistance boosted her confidence a little. She was now feeling pretty good about herself by the time the pegasi mages reached the cave entrance.

As predicted by the man they'd spoken to, the cave was indeed guarded. Surprisingly though, the was only one person and she simply tried to turn them away. Warning that she would not hesitate to attack them should they try to press on without permission. Yuurei was attempting to persuade her, but the dragon slayer somehow doubted that she'd give in easily, especially after he came right out to say the guy she was defending murdered his parents. The idiot. Kailani mentally face-palmed. WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT!?! There was no way she would just let him waltz in now.

Yuurei

She would hear the half-elf’s words, and she even heard the blunt words that came from the dwarf. She shook her head because it seemed like they were not going to listen to her plead for them to turn back. She didn’t want to serve Ansem was upset that Vampire Lord ruined another person’s life. Still, what the hell could she do about that.

“I don’t think you would be able to do that to me dwarf, and I feel your pain elf, but even if I wanted to let you go by, being created by Ansem makes me loyal to him through the good and the bad. If you truly want to get into the cave then you will have to kill me and lay me to rest.” She said this to them.

Yuurei was surprised to hear her words, and it made her upset. He didn’t understand the whole thing about vampires being loyal to those who created them, but he knew that she was an obstacle in their way, and they had to do something about it.

Yuurei would open his hands as he would look at her. The magic circles appeared in his hands as the stars would come out. They moved into him quickly as he wasn’t going to negotiate when it wasn’t going to work.

“I guess this is how it has to be.” He said to her as he was not stronger due to his magic.

Mya would run straight to him, and she would slash at him with her long nails. Yuurei would barely dodge the attack as he could see she was fast, and when he went to punch her as a counterattack, she would twist her body and jump over him. She would land behind him before she rushed to attack him again, as he would lunge backward to avoid her punch. He would slide on the ground as he could see she wasn’t playing games, but neither were they.

Brone Heavyaxe
The dwarf was a bit confused by what the woman, Mya, had said, not only way she spoke seemed odd, but the fact that she didn't seem startled nor ready to battle despite knowing a fight was going to happen, as if she didn't want to battle. Brone didn't know what she meant by being 'loyal' to who had 'created' her, "...Alright, well whether yer made of clay or flesh, gonna have to lop yer head off if ye ain't getting out of the way, lass" he told the woman, but she simply sighed, caring little of what the dwarf had said.

Then the battle started. As usual, Yuurei conjured his magic circles and his body enhanced and he ran forward, surprisingly Mya seem to have matched the half-elf's speed. Seeing that, Brone confirmed that this woman wasn't normal, he didn't see her conjure any magic circles of her own, so he questioned whether she was a monster as well. Regardless, Brone drew both his axes and ran to enter the fight. After she attempted to strike Yuurei and missed, the dwarf came in and swung his steel axe. Mya quickly caught the axe in her right hand, Brone then swung his iron axe, to which she caught with her left hand, though the dwarf expected this and threw his head forward, his helmeted forehead slammed into Mya's forehead, feeling solid as stone.

Mya tumbled back, "You fool!" she looked angry as he rubbed her forehead, her teeth looked jagged and that's when Brone realized she had elongated fangs. He wondered if she was a vampire as well.

"And I'll do it again" he laughed as he ran forward. Mya sucked her teeth and quickly met the dwarf; she moved her hands in front of the dwarf's face, so quickly and in a way Brone was blinded for a split second, long enough for him to slam into a dead tree. He got dizzy, wondering what had happened.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kailani was a little taken aback by the woman's words. 'Created by him' the words the woman spoke ran through the wood elf's mind. What exactly did that mean? Well, it didn't really matter at the end of the day, the fact of the matter was that she was loyal to the one Yuurei wished to find and destroy, and she wasn't about to willingly let the trio and their two felines pass into the cave entrance without a fight. Well, the wind mage had expected as much, today wasn't going to be any easier than yesterday, however, she had promised to be careful with how much magical power she put into the fights.

Dashing away from where Yuurei stood, Kailani would place some space between herself and the ensuing fight between the light mage and the woman. Where she could safely sit and watch the fight unfold from the sidelines. Glancing between her allies and the enemy she attempted to judge how best to support her friends without overdoing it in this fight. The woman seemed trained in short-range combat, which was good, that was where the half-elf and dwarf both excelled, together they shouldn't have too many issues beating her up.

Her lilac eyes widened however to see just how quick and light the woman was on her feet, throwing punches at the light mage without hesitation. Fortunately, Yuurei had managed to avoid her so far, but how long would that last? With that level of speed, if she wanted to she could easily run circles around Brone if she wanted to. Narrowing her eyes, the dragon slayer began summoning forth their mana finally deciding the best way to support the duo. Yuurei could already keep up with the woman, but the dwarf could not, as such the lavender haired woman decided to place her focus on him.

She'd twirl her left hand like a whirlwind while clicking thrice with her right, two magic circles spread from both her hands as well as from the dwarf's back. As wind both trailed down to his feet, creating a shape reminiscent of large lizard-like clawed feet that increased his speed significantly. Simultaneously a pair of matching bat-like wings made of her magic sprouted forth from his shoulder blades, His little form was now much more mobile than he'd ever been before, he would have a much easier time keeping the woman on her toes now.

Yuurei

Yuurei would see Brone attacking her right away, but she was quick to block both of his attacks. He laughed a bit when he saw him headbutt her as it seemed like she was not expecting that. The light mage also didn’t expect him to hit her like that, but it happened. It wasn’t long before Kailani would use her magic to help Brone. He was glad that she was helping him out because he would fair well on his own. As she stumbled back from the attack, the light mage saw it as an opportunity to go all in. Yuurei would run towards Mya and when he got to full speed, he would throw a quick jab at her face. She would notice his attack too late, but even then, she would be able to dodge the first attack.

Then she saw that he was attacked once again with his other hand. The half-elf would rapidly attack as he had the advantage right now. Mya was surprised that this guy was this quick, but she would soon realize how strong he was as well. Yuurei would finally land a punch right on her face as she would be sent stumbling back. She felt the pain but moved back she knew he wasn’t the only person she was fighting. She licked the blood on her lip and swallowed the blood in her mouth. She would smile at him as she was impressed.

“So, you’re not just some pretty boy. Do you think with that strength you could take on Ansem?” She asked him wondering what he would say.

“I won’t know until I try, but right now I need to focus on you before anything.” He said to her as he had prepared to attack again.

She understood what he meant, but she wouldn’t dare attack Ansem, so she wouldn’t know if she was even strong enough to fight her master. Still, she felt her jaw break from his attack, but it would start to heal slowly as the battle continued.

Brone Heavyaxe
Bumping into the tree knocked his helmet forward, covering his eyes, blinding him but for a moment. Brone adjusted his helmet and immediately caught sight of Yuurei exchanging blows with Mya. He chuckled as he started to slowly walk the perimeter, focusing on getting into Mya's blind spot. From the corner his eye, he noticed Kailani casting something, her magical circles appeared. The moment the dwarf felt the breeze of air surround him, he immediately kicked off and ran forward towards his foe, learning at this point whenever Kailani cast magic, it was always a benefit for either him or Yuurei and he was now too familiar with the smell of lavender and the sudden gust of wind that accompanies him.

As he kicked off the ground, he felt the tremendous burst of speed that was given to him, he didn't notice the wings upon his back nor the lizard-like claws that donned his feet, his focus was solely on striking Mya. The vampire's hand went to her jaw, forcing it back into place. Her eyes went from Yuurei, in search of the dwarf, but by the time she spotted the stout warrior, the bearded man had already closed the gap between them and his iron axe was aiming for her head, she was still fast, her left hand went up and caught the blade when it was just a few inches from her face, but Brone planned it to be a distraction, the steel axe was swooping in from underneath. Mya had noticed it and tried to block it with her right hand, but failed as the blade of the steel axe severed her thumb and slammed into her stomach, "Here's a taste of our strength!" Brone yelled as he put his full strength in the swing. Mya was then sent flying back, heading towards Yuurei. Her gown was cut in the midsection and a severed thumb flew through the air.

Kailani Fleurn †
As the wind mage had expected, Yuurei was faring just fine on his own without her assistance. Meaning she could focus all her energy on the dwarven man instead. Their combined efforts were keeping the female on the ropes, while she herself was clearly no pushover, she was evidently hard-pressed while fighting against the two incredibly strong males as her foes. If perhaps it was just Yuurei or Brone alone she may have beaten them, although even that would have been difficult. Fighting both simultaneously left the woman with very little chance of success in this battle, especially now that the dwarf was able to speed around, or at least that's how the wood elf viewed it.

Kailani's keen lilac eyes hadn't missed how the woman began to rapidly heal her face. The wind mage scowled momentarily a little concerned as she considered if perhaps she would be capable of out-healing their attacks. However, it seemed even with her amazing ability to regenerate it wasn't going to be enough for her as one of her thumbs was sliced from her hand and sent flying, landing in the snow and staining it red with the blood that flowed from the severed digit. The wood elf calmed down, a small smirk momentarily flashing over her facial features as she grew confident that they were indeed going to win for sure. It was only a matter of time.

Nimbus peaked out from her coat's hood, his golden eyes flickering around as they peered at the scene unfold, before gently whispering something into the wind mage's ear. Causing her to pause and listen, her face becoming one of sudden shock followed by understanding as she nodded to what he told her. It seemed the exceed hadn't been slacking off during their time studying and learning what they could about vampires before heading to Tantibus. The two would whisper between each other for a while before she'd finally call out to her best friend.

"Use an offensive spell against her, Yuu!" Kailani called loudly, waiting to see if the knowledge Nimbus had discovered was indeed true, if it were the woman would be weak to his light magic. The wood elf wasn't entirely sure how accurate the information the exceed had gathered was and if it were, just how fatal it would be though. There was also the concern of if the light mage was intending to kill her outright or simply leave her unconscious, but that would ultimately be Yuueri's decision, not her own.

Yuurei

Yuurei would find Mya flying straight towards him. This was perfect as he was getting ready to hit her with everything he had. Still, while she was moving toward him, he would hear Kailani shout out to him. He would look over at her as he was surprised that she was giving out orders, but he was fine with that. She was basically the controller of the group, and he would stretch his arm. A magic circle would appear in front of him, and a second magic circle would appear in the sky. When he had fully created everything, she would be near him. The light mage would find himself swinging his left hand into her arm as she stumbled away from him.

She would feel her arm cracking, but even then she was healing. These two were strong, but she couldn’t be killed. That was when a bunch of light arrows would shoot down at her and almost hit Yuurei. He was outside of the range of his attack.

The hit was strong, but it made her scream in pain from the piercing arrows that rained down on her. When it was all over, Mya would fall to her knees as she was breathing heavily. She would look over to Yuurei scared, but happy to meet her end. The light mage could see it in her eyes, she wasn’t a bad person, she was just stuck with a curse that she couldn’t get rid of. She looked at Brone and then the girl, panicking about what to do next. Of course, the pain was too much, and she would fall to the ground. Yuurei would sigh because Kailani had come in clutch with what she said.

“We don’t need to kill her. It’s not her fault; there is only one vampire that needs to die and it's Ansem.” He said as he would walk past the unconscious body and started walking toward the cave.

“Kai thank you for the call out. I guess I’m so used to using my fist, that I forget that I have spells that I can use. It seemed like it was more effective than I thought it would be. Also Brone, good attacks it seems like you’re doing do with getting to their blindsides.” He would say this to his friend as he was moving towards the cave and their next destination.

Brone Heavyaxe
After sending the vampiric woman flying, Brone swung his axes against the snow beneath his feet, wiping the dead blood onto the white floor. He tightened his grip onto the handles of his weapons as he watched as Mya and Yuurei exchanged blows again, this time the woman was losing her footing, the might of the three heroes were great and overbearing, just as the dwarf had hoped. Then he noticed something about Mya, her face which was bruised was slowly gaining it's pale color again, the black and blue was vanishing, "The lass is healing" he said under his breath. He gritted his teeth, getting himself ready to move in for another attack.

Kailani called out a suggested attack from Yuurei, which through off Brone, though the full blood elf is intelligent and the dwarf wouldn't mind following directed orders from her given that he had full trust in her, he was confused as to why she would suggest the half-elf would use a spell against the woman; at this point, Brone knew Yuurei well enough to know that his self enhancement spells proved more effective than his light attack spells. Either way, Yuurei didn't hesitate and summoned a shower of arrows made of pure light which fell upon the vampiric woman.

Surprisingly, Mya dropped, Brone figured there was something about magic that proved effective or the fact that the arrows were made of light, regardless, the dwarf would take the win. He ran up to the kneeling woman, ready to swing his axe and behead her, putting an end to her, but Yuurei made the choice to allow her to live. "What? Really?" he questioned, then he looked down at Mya, seeing her satisfied expression before she collapsed. The dwarf holstered his axes back onto his back, then scratched his beard, trying to make sense of the situation. Eventually he shrugged his shoulders and just walked after Yuurei, entering the mouth of the cave. At the end, they had won against the vampire minion and they were one step closer to the ultimate evil, so Brone cared not for the complication of the situation.

"Oy, Kailani, thanks for the boost, those spells of yers always comes in handy" he gestured a thumbs-up at the wood elf. Though the three of them were a strong team, the dwarf worried that their strength may not be enough to overcome the last battle, hopefully he's wrong.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kailani watched as Yuurei summoned forth a shower of arrow rain made from his light magic. A small sigh of relief that he had heard her while still focusing on the battle. The woman was still breathing, alive, but had fallen unconscious after enduring so much damage. It seemed even someone of her species was capable of feeling pain.

"You can thank Nimbus." The wood elf forced a smile towards Yuurei, still a little weary as she carefully strode over to the others, "He reminded me that during our research there had been mention of vampires being weak to light. I wasn't entirely sure if that meant regular light, just magic, or both. Thankfully, it seemed worth the shot." her lilac eyes glanced down towards the unconscious woman with pity. It really didn't have to go like this, if she had just let them pass they wouldn't have needed to knock her out. Still, at least Yuurei was willing to show her mercy, a sign that in his time away he hadn't turned into a bloodthirsty killer. Meaning other than his main target, others would be left alone unless they chose to fight them.

"And you're always welcome, Brone." She smiled once more towards the dwarf, happy to move on as she stared into the depths of the cavern before them. "This is it I guess." She sighed, preparing herself mentally for what was to come, they had no idea what lay within or beyond. Thankfully their fight hadn't been too drawn out even with the vampire woman's healing abilities. As such she hadn't used up too much mana in the process of aiding Brone, leaving plenty for whatever fights may lay ahead of them.
