Yuurei

Yuurei was in the tavern when he had given the man the tooth of the Yeti. Everyone in the tavern was shocked to see what they were able to do. They had killed the monster that had continued to be the death of those who traversed in that area. Now they were safe to move through the area without worrying. The light mage was upset because his best friend was upset with him, but his focus was on the information the merchant had for them.

“So, like I said what do you know about the vampire that lives around here?” He asked the merchant.

The merchant looked at the tooth and he would nod and acknowledge that these guys might be strong enough to do what needed to be done.

“Okay, okay. First things first the vampire you probably are looking for is a Vampire Lord, and goes by the name Ansem.” He said to Yuurei.

The light mage was shocked, anxious, and excited about hearing the piece of information given to him. He wanted to know more, no he needed to know more. Still, before they could know anymore, someone would rush into the tavern gasping for air and looking around scared and worried all at the same time.

“Please someone help me! My kids, they need help! There is a horde of monsters after them! Please, anybody!” He shouted at the top of his lungs as he didn’t know what to do.

Yuurei would suck his teeth when he heard this because he couldn’t believe the information, he was getting would be stopped by this, but he knew it in his heart that they had to help.

“Calm down and tell us where we can find them.” He said to the man as the man was doing his best to relax before talking again.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone Heavyaxe walked into the tavern after Yuurei. He patted himself, freeing himself rom the snow that gathered on him. As the half-elf made his way over to the informant, the dwarf gestured to the bartender who took notice of him and gave him a nod, acknowledging the regular order of ale. Then Brone pulled up a chair and sat across from the informant while the yeti's large tooth sat on the table. He looked about himself, noticing onlookers who seemed impressed by what they had accomplished, "We're two for two" Brone laughed as he flexed his biceps.

Suddenly, the cry of someone needing help drew the dwarf's attention quickly. He was already on his feet with his iron battleaxe in hand. From what the frantic man was yelling, the dwarf understood that there was another horde of monsters, but this time they're after kids, "What!? Another horde? Damn it! Lead the way" he called out to the man who had busted in through the tavern doors. Many different questions were running through the dwarf's mind; were they the same kind of creatures as they had fought before? How many were there? And how often and constant will hordes of monsters be attacking the town? Regardless of what the answers were, Brone was already making his way out the door of the tavern, hopefully the Blue Pegasus members would rid the town of this horde as well before the three of them tire out, for the day felt like the longest day to the dwarf.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kailani had still been a little moody with the light mage's choices in their battle with the snow monster. He continued to let his feelings dictate his actions rather than thinking things through logically. If things continued this way she worried what would await him upon meeting the enemy he had been searching for all this time. Her lilac eyes watched Yuurei with concern as he conversed with the man who had promised to feed them information in return for besting the beast.

As her pointed ears picked up the cries of someone in need of assistance, her head turned, trying to locate the owner of the voice. A young man, yelling about another horde of monsters. This place just didn't get a break, did it? The wind mage was beginning to wonder why anyone would choose to live this way, was it possible they couldn't leave for a reason other than the yeti they had already defeated? With a small sigh, she'd glance over to her friend who was attempting to calm the man down. This time she wasn't going to be without a drink as she quickly downed the entirety of her glass of red wine. Sure she wouldn't be able to properly enjoy it, but the warmth it gave in such a miserably cold place helped.

"Here we go again, I guess..." She muttered to Brone as she followed him out the tavern with yet another sigh. Clearly, they were not getting a proper break any time soon.

Yuurei

Yuurei waited for the man to calm down and soon enough he would. When he did, he would stand tall as he would look over to the dwarf and then the woman who seemed like they were ready to go and help this guy out. That was good even though they were exhausted from the traveling and everything since they had entered the town.

“Like he said lead the way. We’ll protect you.” He said to the guy as he would nod and started walking towards the exit.

The berserker would find both his friends waiting for them and with that, the man would start walking off where he had come from. Yuurei would follow behind as he had looked at Renji.

“Gauntlet.” He said as the Exceed would open the bag before it would be placed on Yuurei.

He would look over to the two of them and had an embarrassing look on his face.

“I’m sorry for my rash decision earlier. And don’t worry you two, once we help him and his kids, we will get the information I need and call it a night, that much I promise.” He said to them as they had finally made their way outside of the town.

The snow he was used to, but did he enjoy it, nope. They were moving quickly through the snow and if they looked carefully, they could see the man’s footprints leading the way to where the hordes were. Yuurei wanted to ask the man how he got out, but he figured it didn’t matter if he was able to go get help for his kids.

Yuurei noticed they were walking towards the mountain and wondered if this horde got separated from the horde of monsters they fought in town. If that was so, then there should be a lot of them or not that many.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone shrugged his shoulders as he noticed Kailani's expression towards him. She looked tired physically and figuratively. This constant barrage of monsters were being a danger at worse and a nuisance at best. The three Blue Pegasus members followed the man who sought help, all the while the dwarf kept reciting in his mind "Quicker I hit the enemy, the quicker I hit the bar, the quicker I hit the bed"[/color] He didn't feel the fatigue, but he was sure after this bout with the monsters, he would start feeling the summary of the day.

When the four of them made it out of town and began heading towards the mountain, Brone began to wonder how far away the horde was; he figured the problem was within the town, or just outside of it. Were the kids captured and taken up the mountain? There should be no reason why kids would be so far from town, especially when monsters constantly attack the place. The dwarf couldn't help but looking towards Kailani and Yuurei, hoping to catch their eyes and trying to read their expression and determine whether or not they were on the same page.

"How long before we get to monsters?" Brone asked the man, though making sure to keep himself between the stranger and Kailani. He wasn't sure what to expect, but he couldn't risk anyone's safety.

Kailani Fleurn †
For the third time in one day, the wood elf and her comrades were back to trudging through the snow. Her usual delicate footsteps were no longer quite as light as they had been this morning, as she just let her feet sink into the soft surface with each step. Nimbus had returned to huddling into her hood, meaning her head was exposed to the elements, definitely not her preference, but at least the feline was comfortably snuggled in.

"It's fine." The dragon slayer replied, waving Yuurei off with one hand, she didn't have the energy to remain upset with him plus it wasn't like his decisions were made with malice. Then there was the fact Kailani just generally struggled to stay mad at him for long. He was her best friend after all. "I'm just definitely going to rest well tonight is all." She sighed, rubbing the back of her neck with her gloved hand, bumping Nimbus a little who bopped her hand through the hood with his paw.

The wind mage was struggling to get into the right mindset for this battle with monsters, as she focused on their objective, rescue the children. Hopefully, they were still okay considering it would have taken the man quite a bit of time to run to town to get their help.

"Why would anyone even want to live here?" The wind mage sighed to herself, pouting a little. Honestly, that question had been continuously going through her mind all day, just why do these people remain when it's so dangerous and they clearly can't fend for themselves properly.

Yuurei

The man’s pace was quick, and when he saw that everybody was able to easily keep up with him, he was happy. Still, he hoped that they would get there in time because all he could think about was the safety of his kids. While walking he would hear Kailani ask a question, and he figured he could answer her.

“I can’t truly say I ran over to town with thinking, but hopefully not too long.” He said to Brone as he was wondering how his kids were fairing.

Yuurei would chuckle as it seemed both the dwarf and the elf wanted to sleep easy for the night and it was something he promised them. They would be able to continue onward the next day after they got the information they needed.

“We cannot truly leave this town. All of us here have generational worth in that town and we cannot seem to leave it no matter what. We know the dangers around us, but it doesn’t stop us from living our lives here. I just hope one day someone could break what is binding us to this town or at least make it safe to live in the town because I don't think we would leave even if we could.” He said out loud to them as he kept walking.

Yuurei didn’t understand what he was saying. There was someone binding them to the town, and it was happening for generations? How did the hell that even happen? He wasn’t going to question him, but his thought process continued with nothing but questions. The man would come to a stop as he could see the mountain and a bunch of monsters pressed against it.

They seemed to be trying to reach after something but couldn’t because they were too big to fit.

“Please hurry save my kids!” He shouted as he became frantic about what he saw again.

The monsters would hear the voice coming from behind them and a bunch of them would start to turn around to see that there were six things for them to feast on that were out in the opening. The light mage would get into a fighting position because they all looked like the monsters they had fought at the beginning of the town. There were more of them here than there were in town and when Yuurei had finished counting eighteen of them had looked over to them while there were three still trying to go after the kids.

“Alright we have to take them out before we get to those kids.” He told Brone and Kailani as the man was trembling in fear hoping he would be okay and his kids.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone grunted, seconding Kailani's question. Even though the stranger who was leading the group towards the mountain side, had explained the weird phenomenon about why the town civilians can't leave, the dwarf found it hard to believe; the only logical explanation was either magic, or stubbornness, and he knew one thing about stubbornness, "My family was raided by troggs, but they fought with everything they got, even ma, bless that woman, protected her pups with a hammer in one hand, and a pan in the other; but no matter the trouble, we didn't give up our home" so in a way he could understand to a degree, but such creatures seem too dangerous to stay for the sake of a town.

Eventually they spotted the horde of creatures trying to press themselves into what seem like a crevice. The escort shouted, drawing the fiend's attention. As Yuurei was declaring the plan, Brone was already running towards the creatures, helm on and both axes drawn while yelling at the top of his lungs. Half the horde turned to attack the newcomers while the other half were already invested in the children that hid in the tight space. As soon as two of the creatures closed the gap, the iron axe beheaded one and the steel axe sank into shoulder of the other, sending it into the snow with a thud, "My beard is on fire!!" he shouted randomly, not knowing why he said it and not caring.

Kailani Fleurn †
The wood elf could somewhat understand the feeling of this being their home and refusing to leave. It was how the elves back home felt about their forest more often than not. She was one of the few outliers in that regard.

"I guess in many ways, the elves of my home are not so different either. Although, we live in harmony with the majority of the creatures that dwell within the forest." Kailani shrugged, still, she didn't doubt they would fight for their home too. What truly piqued the wind mage's interest though was that he'd mentioned something 'binding' them to the town. So something was indeed stopping them from leaving, even if they wished to.

She figured after they were done rescuing his children, she could bombard him with her questions. If he refused to answer after they had aided them, then she'd find some way to punish him for being ungrateful. These townsfolk had started to grow a little irritating after ignoring them completely for a good portion of the day.

Upon spotting the creatures, the wood elf smiled confidently. They were same as the last lot they'd fought in the town, meaning they should be able to clean up this mess quickly enough without too much trouble. They had posed no issue before, so she'd repeat how she had started the last battle. Two magic circles formed, one on each hand. She clicked thrice with one hand, sending a surge of her magic power towards the dwarf, speeding him up so he'd have no trouble keeping up with the creatures then. With her other hand, she swirled it in a whirlwind like motion, sending mana towards the light mage, dragon-like wings of wind spouting from his back.

Once her magic activated on the duo she'd eye over the battlefield, moving to stand in front of the father of the children. The dragon slayer kept her eyes peeled, searching for any monsters that may manage to stray from the pack and circle around the two males towards herself and the civilian under her protection.

Yuurei

Yuurei would get into a fighting position as he saw that Brone was running straight towards the monsters. It wouldn’t take long, but he would look at Renji with a smile on his face.

“If you can please.” He said to his Exceed.

Renji would open his bag and the gauntlet would appear on his right arm. He would start rushing towards the horde as he watched his friend take out two of the monsters. The light mage did get wings from Kailani, which he enjoyed very much. It would make his feet get off the ground as he was using his momentum to move straight towards the horde.

The light mage would grab one of the monsters as they were trying to bite him, and he would punch the creature straight in the face before letting the monster go. The creature was dead, but he let the monster go so it could fall and hit the ground to make sure that it would stay dead.

The creatures continued running towards the dwarf as he was the closest out of everyone. Yuurei saw this as he would dive straight towards another was as he would rotate his body and he would kick the crap out of another monster as he would send it flying to its death. That was when two creatures would turn to look at him and would rush towards him and would grab onto him.

Yuurei would hit one of them with all his might, but before he could hit the second one, he would feel that the creature would bite him on his leg, and he would scream in pain from what it did. He was angry now because he didn’t think something that would happen, and he would move his leg up and then punched the monster as it let go of Yuurei’s leg. He was bleeding from his leg as he was upset about what happen.

Renji saw this and his eyes widen, and he looked surprised about this. He didn’t think Yuurei would get hurt by these creatures, but it seemed like exhaustion might have been kicking in. Still, he was able to get a lot of the monsters out of the way, but they didn’t get through half of them still.

As a good handful of the creatures headed his way, Brone ran straight into the fray. A sudden gust of wind picked up, and by this time, the dwarf was expecting it, a smile formed on his face as he felt his speed increase. His body jerked forward, snow kicked up with the sudden burst of speed. The one creature that was thrown off by the sudden change in the dwarf's running, which was long enough for the dwarf to bury the iron axe into the creature's skull. Two other creatures tried to attack the dwarf, believing he was distracted by their companion that was killed, but the dwarf was already use to their strategy and was already swinging his steel axe, in full momentum. The blade cleaved through both of the creatures.

For a moment the dwarf spun like a top, and when he came to a stop, he saw Yuurei was already in flight, taking care of his own handful. "Attack pattern Alpha!" he laughed, this was their normal attack strategy and it has yet to fail. Being caught up in the action, Brone didn't notice a creature jumping onto his back, it's teeth trying to bite onto his helm. Before Brone could try and shake him off, another creature jumped onto the first creature, then another, they began to dog pile on the dwarf. The rest of the creatures took notice of this and ignored the flying half-elf to try and join in on the dogpile.

Kailani Fleurn †
The wood elf's eyes widened in panic as she spied Yuurei getting bitten by one of the creatures. Who knew what kind of disgusting infection that would leave if the wound were to be left untreated. Without a moment of hesitation, she moved a little closer, using the maximum range of her healing spell as she summoned forth her magical power, two circles forming, one on herself and the other beneath her best friend, a burst of healing energy surging forth in the form of wind around the light mage's body, coating him in a pleasant breeze that rapidly closed the punctures the creature's teeth at left in his body.

So focused on healing Yuurei, the wind mage hadn't noticed Brone's predicament immediately, as her eyes finally pealed away from the light mage, satisfied with her work, her eyes would widen once more as she couldn't see her dwarven friend. Instead in his place was simply a pile of the beasts all trying to tear down into the one stuck beneath them all. Stretching, she'd take a deep breath of air, centring herself as she prepared her body, she was well aware that this was going to take quite a lot out of her from the sheer number of foes. She began creating magic circle after magic circle, punching the air with her fist as she sent burst after burst of air towards the group in rapid succession. The dragon slayer's magic wouldn't physically harm the creatures, instead each time she struck one, they'd be sent flying away from their current position, hopefully leaving her little dwarven friend alive and well. It was impossible to tell just what his condition was without first removing the pests.

As the seconds passed and she continued to blow away the creatures one at a time, she realised that each time she managed to strike one, another simply took its place. Her magic was getting her nowhere fast, leaving her with one option, racing in a little closer to get into range she'd start focusing all her mana into one huge blast as she created a horizontal tornado-like gust that would strike all the creatures simultaneously, her friend included. The well of magical power within the wood elf was fairly drained at this point, but she still had enough to sustain her magic for a while longer on her two allies. As long as she herself didn't need to enter direct combat with the creatures they would hopefully not take too much longer to dispose of the hideous monsters.

Yuurei

Yuurei would look over to Brone and he was surprised to see that his friend was being attacked by all the monsters that were there. That was crazy and soon enough all he would be able to see was a bunch of monsters just on top of each other and on top of Brone. He felt his leg being heal as he saw the wound was closing as well. It confused him at first, but then he looked down to see that Kailani was healing him. This was good, but what he saw next from her was crazy. She rushed straight towards Brone and the amount of mana he saw her use was too much. Still, he understood why she was doing this. He figured he would help, by decreasing the number of monsters that were remaining.

The light mage would soar through the sky and towards some of the monsters that had been knocked back by Kailani. He would strike at the first one that came to his view and took it without an issue. The second one closest to him would get up but wouldn’t be able to do anything else as Yuurei would snap its neck as he continued to soar to the others. The third would jump towards Yuurei as it took notice of him coming. The light mage shook his head as he was upset that they were being overwhelmed by numbers. The light mage would grab the third one by the head and legs and pull away as hard as he could.

This would kill the monster as it split apart, and he let go of the body. Yuurei would look at the remaining nine that remained. It was because of Kailani that Brone wasn’t constantly attacked by the horde of monsters anymore. There were three still trying to get into the gap where the kids were and Yuurei was heading towards them right now, so they didn’t have to be scared anymore.

Brone Heavyaxe
As Brone was being pinned by the monsters, he could hear the teeth grinding and clamping on his helmet and another set of teeth trying to chew through his ringmail armor. He wanted to swing his axes, but his arms were even able to find any momentum to try and swing. He tried to find footing to try and lift the mass of creatures, but with how soft he snow was, this was proving to be a difficult situation. Suddenly several gusts of wind pressed against them, to no avail. Then eventually a strong blast of wind slammed into the lot of them, peeling away the creatures and snow, but as the seconds ticked, all that was left was a dwarf slowly getting to his feet. As he stood with both his axes in hand, he looked in Kailani's direction, towards the wind and did his best to give her a smile, though his cheeks were flapping in the wind, made his expression seem very silly.

The wind tunnel was over and the dwarf faced his enemies who were withered down a bit due to Yuurei's flyby tactic, "Alright, ye no good ugly sons-a-benches!" he yelled as he tightly gripped his axes and sprinted forward. Snow was kicked up and trailed behind him like a moving cloud, then bursting through said cloud, the dwarf swung his iron axe which beheaded a creature, then he swung his steel axe; the second creature tried to catch the blade with it's teeth, but instead had lost the top of it's head. The other four attempted to bury the dwarf in another dogpile, but this time Brone didn't intend on buckling, he planted his feet firmly in solid ground beneath the snow while yelling at the top of his lunges, to intimidate the enemy and to keep his adrenaline pumping.

As the four creatures attacked him at the same time, Brone managed to slam his iron axe into the face of one of them while the other three piled on top of him. This time the helmet cracked; he left go of his iron axe so he could reach and once he felt the creature that was on his shoulders, he pulled him off and slammed him into the snow below him. Another creature that was on his side, bite through the ringmail of his shoulder, he felt the pain and the warm blood that flowed, but he didn't stop, he drove his steel axe down and slammed it into the creature that he slammed into the snow, ending it. Then he used his free hand to grab the creature that managed to draw blood from him, he ripped him from his shoulder and slammed him into the other monster that was on his right. They both tumbled from the dwarf while Brone bent down to pick up his Iron axe. He smiled at the two creatures as they scrambled to get back onto their feet. The dwarf wielded both his axe despite blood beginning to run down his left arm.

"Thank goodness..." The wind mage muttered, breathing heavily as she finally spied Brone picking himself up only to race into the fray, slicing and dicing the creatures. She continued to pant as she searched around the battlefield. It was growing dark rapidly as the sun began to creep below the mountain peaks. They wouldn't have much time before night would fall, no doubt causing the temperature to drop even more dramatically. They needed to finish this quickly so they could return back to the relative safety and warmth of Tantibus.

Despite being freed from the monster's clutches momentarily, the damage had been done as she noted the dwarf's helmet flung to the side, cracked and useless to him now. The metallic scent of blood filled the dragon slayer's nostrils as she heard the crunch of teeth through his ringmail. Furrowing her brows, twirl a hand, magic circles growing rapidly outwards from beneath her target and her hand as her mana flowed to Brone's feet, a surge of healing wind enveloping his form and repairing what damage it could as it slowly closed his wound.

"Oh damn..." The wood elf cursed as she felt her mana wavering, the overuse of her magical energy from before taking its toll. Kailani was well aware she wouldn't be able to sustain the spells aiding her allies for much longer, not without risking herself to complete exhaustion. "I don't think I can hold my spells much longer." she warned in a loud voice, hoping Yuurei would take the hint to land as soon as possible so she could release the mana flowing to him without risk of injury. The wind mage counted a total of five creatures standing, three clawing at the gap in the mountainside in an attempt to reach the children huddled inside and two at the dwarf's feet. Despite being fairly torn up, she doubted either would have much trouble finishing them off, even without her assistance at this point.

Yuurei

Yuurei wouldn’t look behind him to see what was going on. He needed to save those kids because he didn’t know how long until one of them would be able to get through. He had a smirk on his face as he knew what to do to get rid of the two of them quickly. While he was soaring through the sky, he rotated his body as he stopped using the wings as the momentum had him moving straight towards them. He had ready his feet as he was using his full force to smash both their heads into the mountain. They wouldn’t have a chance to do anything, and he would look over to the final monster as he moved away.

The monster would turn to see what had happened, and it would look at Yuurei as he screeched at him. He would shake his head when he heard it and he would rush straight towards it and he would lift the monster into the air before letting and punching it, so it would lose its balance. Of course, it would also die from the attack he had just done. The light mage would soar to the gap that the kids were hiding in and Yuurei would wave at them.

“Your father got us to come to rescue all of you. Everything is safe, so you can come out now.” He said to them.

The kids were nervous, but they noticed those creatures from earlier were not coming anymore. They would trust the man out of fear and Yuurei would grab them and hold onto them as he started running with them in the snow as it seemed like his wings had disappeared. Yuurei would show the kids where their dad was located, and they started running towards him. He would see that things were ending and that between the three of them, they were able to take these monsters out.

“Brone, Kai, are you two okay?” He asked as he was moving towards the father and his kids.

He figured that Brone would be able to take the remaining two on his own especially since Kailani had healed him.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone gripped his axes tightly as he stared down the last two creatures. The monsters learned and waited, inspecting the dwarf, fully aware that their other brethren were slaughtered and the dwarf didn't seem to care about being injured. The blood ran down his arm and the smile he shown became intimidating. When Brone had taken a single step, the two creatures hesitated which made the dwarf chuckle.

A sudden calm wind encircled the dwarf; he felt the pain in his shoulder lessen until it was gone. He wanted to turn about and thank Kailani, but he has fought this horde twice now and he's learned that these things act quickly and without hesitation and the moment he turns away, he was sure they will attack, so he figured after Kailani announced she was at her limit, he will end this so they can return to rest.

"Let's go!!" the dwarf yelled as he rushed forward. The creatures reacted by rushing towards him, wanting to rip his throat out while he wanted to cut them to pieces. As they closed the gap, Brone slammed the iron axe into the first one which then forced it to collide into the second one, the dwarf pushed forward and forced both creatures to slam into the ground, snow kicked up. The creatures tried to get back up but as they looked up, they realized it was too late; Brone already had his steel axe overhead, he had let go of his iron axe so that he can wield his steel axe with both hands. Then with a frightening yell, he brought the axe down as hard as he could. The blade slammed into the top creature, cutting through it then cutting through the second creature below it. The force of the attack kicked up a large amount of snow that covered the area.

When the snow settled, the dwarf was left standing. Brone took a look around to see that the fight was fully over and Yuurei was already bringing the kids to the father, "I guess it's time to head back" He said while trying to catch his breath. He picked up his axes and walked over to Kailani, "Ye did good, lass, thank ye" his tone softened again, now that the trouble was over.

Kailani was hunched over, her hands on her knees as she panted, it was over, they had dealt with what monsters remained and as both Yuurei and Brone approached she'd give them both a thumbs up to let them know she was alright. Which she was, just mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted at this point. The thoughts of a bed, any bed, even a terrible one at a tavern seemed inviting at this point. A place to rest her weary head. As she finally stood up she'd notice the children clinging onto Yuurei's form and send them a small, tired smile as they leapt off of him and raced behind her towards their father.

"I'm so ready to sleep." the wood elf mumbled, shivering a little as the shadows of the mountains grew larger as the sun continued to set behind them. She didn't doubt her two friends felt the same. It had been a long, exhausting day.

"There's nothing that comes out at night worse than those, right?" The dragon slayer turned as she asked the man who was now cuddling his children. She really didn't feel up to having to deal with anything on the way back to town right now.

Yuurei

Yuurei would hear Kailani words and he would nod because they all deserved to rest for the night. They had done a lot, but there was one thing he needed, and it was information.

“Whatever it is can wait for tomorrow. We dealt with a lot of the town’s problems, so I don’t think they will hide anything from us.” He said to Kailani with a smile on his face.

The father was hugging his kids and he was glad that these people were here to help him when he needed them. He did know about the fact that they were trying to get information about a vampire. There was only one vampire, the town knew about, and it was the Vampire Lord, Ansem. He figured he would tell them the information that they were looking for.

“You guys are tired and I do think you need this information before you sleep for the night.” He paused for a second as he took a paper out and started drawing something as he was look at them when he was finished with the paper.

“So there are a few vampires that are around, but not in town. Ansem has a castle that can only be traversed through a cave entrance at the base of the mountain. There should be someone always guarding that entrance, but once you get in the cave, and through there, you need to travel a bit more until you find a huge castle awaiting you there. Be careful with Ansem, he’s incredibly powerful, and if you aren’t fully prepared I just led you three to your death.” He would hand Yuurei the paper as it would show him the directions on how to get to the cave entrance.

Yuurei wanted to go now, but he grabbed the paper, and he would put it in his pocket. He was happy to get the answers he was searching for all this time.

“Thank you for giving me this information. I will make sure we don’t lose against that monster.” He said to the man.

They would all walk back to town together, and once they got to town, they would go their separate ways with the family. He had told them about a nearby inn where they could stay and how nice it was. Yuurei would walk over to the inn with everybody else and he would get rooms to stay for the night for everyone. This was a long time rest they needed, and it was well deserved as they got what they were looking for today.

Brone Heavyaxe
Brone was about to offer his help, but Kailani gestured with two thumbs up, even the dwarf with how oblivious he is could tell the elf was exhausted, "Alright then, let's head back and hit the hay" he chuckled.. The encroaching shadows of the mountains added the the atmosphere as the father of the children explained the directions to the Vampire Lord's domain. The cold evening air was picking up, foreshadowing the trouble the three pegasi will be dealing with soon enough. Brone didn't want to make any smart remarks given how tired he was; tired physically and mentally. They trekked their way towards town as the sky darkened, welcoming the night.

By the time they reached the town, they said their goodbyes to the father and the children before heading to the inn that was suggested. Once Brone received his key to his room, he made his way there without so much as a 'goodnight' to his team, figuring that nothing else at the moment was important except for the bed he was going to be familiar with. As he opened the door, there was the well-made bed, waiting for him. He doffed his armor, tossed his helmet to the side and placed his axes beside him on the bed as he began to fall asleep.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kailani tilted her head, while the man focused on Yuurei during his explanation she would carefully listen to his words so she could easily repeat them if the light mage were to forget a piece of vital information. She was surprised to learn that there were multiple vampires in the area, yet the townsfolk seemed so against letting anyone know about it. If she were putting the pieces together correctly then these monsters had been threatening them.

Truth be told the wind mage knew very little in regards to vampirism other than rumours she'd heard here and there. If she had more time she would have suggested they thoroughly did their homework on them first, but she doubted Yuurei wanted to sit around and wait now he knew they were creeping closer.  Instead, she remained quiet, allowing the group to slowly return back towards Tantibus.

Fortunately, the group's travel back to town would remain uneventful. The trek was a lot slower this time with no reason to rush and with how exhausted all of them were, it didn't surprise the wood elf that night had fully set in by the time they returned to the tavern. The moment her head hit the pillow, she felt her body relax and within mere moments she fell unconscious.
