Fighting a Super Heavy Weight (Good) Empty Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:33 pm

Yuurei

Taking on jobs was something he was used to doing by now, and this one wasn't any different. His client this time was a young boy named Tyler, who wanted him to enter a boxing arena to fight the current champion. It was interesting and he figured that he would use his abilities in order to beat this guy. The young mage had prepared himself before arriving at the arena. His magical circles appearing above both hands, he would have all the stars enter his body before he met up with Tyler.

When he got there he would notice the boy was waiting for him to arrive. Yuurei would wave at him and Tyler would look at him confused about who he was.

"Who are you?" He asked Yuurei.

"This guy right here is going to be the one kicking the champion's ass." Renji would say this appearing on Yuurei's shoulder.

Yuurei would shake his head when he heard Renji's words and Tyler would be shocked to hear the cat speak. Still, it was good that someone had answered his request. He didn't think Yuurei was up to the task though, but he hoped he was wrong about that.

"Alright, if you really are here to fight the champ, then let's get you signed up. Also here's a tip don't let the champ hit you. If you do, then you're a goner." He said to Yuurei as he started walking ahead.

Yuurei would follow behind him as he didn't know where to actually go. It wouldn't take them long to get to a table. The half-elf would find himself signing his name on paper and signing other things to make sure that nobody was liable for what could happen to him. Once he was done with that, he would crack his neck as he knew what was going to happen next.

Now that it was all over, Yuurei had made his way towards the arena along with Tyler and Renji. He would stop right by the steps as he would look over to Tyler with a smile on his face.

"Hold this guy for me? And I got what you said. I just got to make sure that he doesn't hit me." He said to Tyler as he would put Renji down and off his shoulder.

He would turn his back towards the two of them and he would walk into the boxing ring as Rodric was already there. The champion was practicing his punches when he saw Yuurei had arrived. He had a smile on his face and cracked his neck as he was going to enjoy this fight.

"Oh wow they got someone like him to fight me. Well, I'll let you know this now. I'm going to end this match in sixty seconds." He said to Yuurei with a smirk on his face.

Now that they were both in the arena, the bell would ring, and the referee would move out of the way so the men could fight. Rodric had rushed straight towards Yuurei, and when the light mage saw how slow he moved, he knew this was going to be fun. The champion's first punch came in, and the half-elf would allow it to get close to him before he dodge the punch. Still, the force behind the attack would bring Yuurei to sweat a bit. This guy definitely hit harder than him, which was not something he wanted to feel. He would exhale, calming himself as Rodric would start throwing a series of combinations to try and land on Yuurei.

The light mage would move around as he would go around the arena ducking and moving side to side. He was avoiding the attacks that were thrown at him, which bother Rodric.

He was getting frustrated now, and he didn't think that Yuurei would be able to move quickly or even have any experience with fighting. Of course, he would think that because of Yuurei's attire and his demeanor. Still, it was getting close to sixty seconds, and he knew that he needed to do something or he would look like a fool. He decided to throw in his maximum power punch, which he used to beat the last champion. Yuurei could feel something bad was coming, so he had gotten ready to dodge it with a quick lunge. Rodric had moved his left arm all the way back and in an instant launched forward straight towards Yuurei.

The light mage would dodge the punch by crouching under it and moving around to the side of Rodric. The champion was upset that he missed that attack, and he was exhausted because he had given everything he had in that last attack.

"Here I thought I was going to lose within sixty seconds. It seems like the time is up, and now it's my turn to do stuff." He said to Rodric knowing that he was tired.

The crowd was excited about everything that was going on. They watched it all and were rooting for Yuurei the entire time. He saw this and figured that there were a lot of people who didn't like this guy. The light mage would step forward quickly as he found his quick jabs landing straight into the face of Rodric with ease. The speed and power behind it weren't a laughing matter either. Rodric found himself stepping back from the hits, and when he tried to swing Yuurei would dodge the punch and counterattack with a couple of hooks from each hand.


Yuurei kept punching him and figured it was time to go for the finish before the round was over.

Yuurei would look at Rodric one last time as the man had gotten close to the light mage. The champion would try another punch, but Yuurei would duck and counter with a strong uppercut straight into Rodric's chin. It would lift the man up into the air and down onto the floor as he was now unconscious. The light mage would crack his neck again as everybody started cheering. The referee would count to ten, but Rodric never got up, which made Yuurei the new champion. He would look around as he saw the referee come into the arena again with a belt and the prize money. His eyes blinked for a few seconds as he didn't think they would give him anything like this. He couldn't accept the champion belt, so he knew what to do.

"I'm glad you guys made me the champion, but I'm forfeiting my title to the former champion before Rodric. So give this to him when you see him." He said this as he grabbed the prize money and walked out of the arena.

Yuurei would make it to Tyler and Renji as the Exceed would make his way onto Yuurei's shoulder as they both looked at the little boy.

"Oh wow, thank you for taking care of Rodric. I'm glad you did this for me. I know you got the prize money, but here's a little something from me as well. I hope it's good enough, and I hope to see you in the ring again." He said to Yuurei.

"Thank you, and you probably will see here sooner than you think. I love fighting more than anything, so I can find myself being here. Still, I got to go and look for more things to do in this city. See you around." He would say this as he waved towards Tyler and started walking off.

The Exceed was proud of how Yuurei fought and was excited to see what he would be able to do next. Still, they had made money and that was what they were trying to do in the first place.
