Yuurei

It had been a couple of weeks or even a month since Yuurei had become the Guild Master of Paradise Dawn. It was peaceful and quiet, and that was enough to make him nervous. He didn’t know what was going on here, but he figured he would enjoy it for the time being. The light mage was on the edge of one of the cliffs that were around the guild. His eyes pierced through the vast scenery ahead of him. The beautiful waterfall, the small, yet beautiful area beneath him. He couldn’t ask for a better place to put a guild. That was one of the things that Khalfani had done greatly for Paradise Dawn.

He wondered where his friend had gone, and it wasn’t just him. Kailani was radio silent and every time he reaches out to her, he got nothing back. He figured that she was still mad at him for walking away, but was that really the case? He couldn’t be too sure because he had been quite some time. He was hoping he would get an answer on that soon.

When dawn had broke, Brone had gotten to his feet and readied himself for the day. After a shower and a meal, he donned his armor, armed himself with his two axes and began his patrol of the area. For the next few hours, the dwarf had covered the grounds twice over, just to make sure there weren't any intruders that wanted to make an attack upon his home.

Eventually, he spotted Yuurei at one of the cliff edges facing the waterfall, "Oye!" he called with a wave of his arm, "What ye doin' here, guild master?" the dwarf chuckled as he approached his friend, happy to see a familiar face during his lone patrol, "Spotted any trouble?" though what he asked was simply a joke, Brone couldn't help but take a look at the waterfall, cautious that trouble may have entered their territory, for it wouldn't be the first time they had dealt with something of the sort.

Yuurei was thinking about a lot of things now. His eyes were focused on the waterfall, and he didn’t realize anybody approaching his six. Renji was relaxing next to Yuurei and still sleeping without a care in the world. While he was doing this, he would hear someone shout in his direction. He would look back to see his close friend waving his hand at him. Yuurei would wave back at him with a smile on his face as he was glad to see him here.

The questions he asked him made him smile as it seemed like he was on patrol or something with all his gear on him.

He would look back at the waterfall as his friend got closer to him.

“I just chose an area to relax. It is a calming place by the edge of the mountains. Everything around the area here is so beautiful.” He paused for a second.

“As for trouble, I can’t say that I have. It feels like a normal relaxing day. What about you what are you doing out here, equipped and ready for battle?” He asked as he chuckled a bit.

Renji would move a bit but stay asleep.

It didn't throw Brone off when Yuurei applied, though it was indeed uncommon to see the half-elf in a state of serenity. The duo have had many battles and troubles they have either sought out or found themselves in, intentionally or otherwise. "I'm doing my patrol for the morning since no one else wants to do the shift" the dwarf laughed, though his own personal reason is because it was one of the two shifts that allowed him complete solitude, "And we got to be on our toes, this guild has faced attackers at least twice already and yet it is still new... well new to kin at least" to a dwarf and elf, the span of time was relatively short compare to the the humans, which is seems the majority of the guild seem to make up, but from actually speaking to a number of the core members, Brone feels that some of them may not be what they seem at first glance.

Yuurei would hear Brone speak and he would laugh about those words. It seemed like nobody wanted to patrol, so he figured that he would do something about it later. The Nephilim would smile at him when he heard him call the guild new. It was still relatively new, yet it had made enemies all the same.


“Yeah I’ll see what I can do to get more people to go on patrol when you’re not doing it.” He said to Brone.

“Yeah the guild has faced attackers, and to be honest one of those is my own fault. I wasn’t going to let Khalfani go on his own.” He said to Brone.

He would sigh when he said those words because it was true. The guild they attacked was a bad one though, so in the end, it really didn’t matter. He wasn’t wrong for attacking a place that was filled with evil. Others may not have been as evil, but the structure itself represented the evil that was Sleeping Calamity.

The waterfall was constant with it's flow, so serene and beautiful, a symbol of the flow of everyday life. Brone was surprised he didn't realize this earlier, but then again, he had not spend more than a minute within the area at a time.

"Ah, don't worry about the patrol, it gives me a chance to have alone time to focus" the dwarf took a look about, even during conversation, he was doing his best to be aware of his surroundings. Ever since he had met Yuurei, he felt he had been in constant battles, which is probably why he was seen in his armor at all hours of the day, sometimes he would even bathe in full battle gear.

"...So that was ye" Brone asked, his tone a little lower. When the Dark Guild had attacked the base, the guild leader had mentioned being attacked by Paradise Dawn; initially the dwarf didn't believe it, but regardless of what had happened, he couldn't allow anyone to attack his home, so he fought back, "Well, what is done is done, and ye both had yer best intentions; any lad or lass that lifts a sword has called themselves to battle" Though he wasn't sure if attacking the guild was the right move or not, the Dark Guild had it's reputation as such, so they had the responsibility to defend their home, regardless of who attacks.

Yuurei would hear Brone’s words and he would laugh. It seemed like he enjoyed the patrols even though he gained nothing from them. It was interesting to hear, and when he heard what he said next, he wouldn’t laugh anymore, and he would look over to Brone. It would seem like he was trying to figure out a way to make it just. The light mage would stay relaxed as he looked at his friend.

“Yeah, I mean they were a bad guild. I wished they took us destroying the building as a warning to disband. When they attacked us, all they did was let us know they didn’t get the message.” He paused for a second.

“We are on a whole different level than them, and it showed last time. I hope they understand and leave us alone. Hell, I plan on going to their guild soon and saying hello to everyone there. They aren’t going to attack this guild and think it's all over.” He said to Brone with a serious look.

“Also, don’t worry I will leave patrolling to you then.” He said to Brone.

Brone nodded as he heard the story, or the summary of it. He didn't know what to think of it; Paradise Dawn were the initiators then, but Sleeping Calamity is a dark guild. He then questioned if it was alright to wait until a dark guild commits a heinous act before making a move.

"I suppose so long as no one was killed, then a message is fine; we have a job to protect the northern region" Brone had grew up with cousins who roughhoused in a playful manner, and when it came to warring factions, sometimes a brawl was needed in order to establish political standing, so long as no one was killed in the process, then Brone remembered something, "During the dark guild's trespassing, the leader said something about a kidnapping; did ye kidnap someone?" The dwarf raised an eyebrow. During the fight, he was angered and in battle mode, so the statement of a kidnapping quickly went by him, but now that he thought about it, it didn't seem like the character of either Yuurei or Khalfani to do such a thing, but best that he asked his friend about it first before making any accusation.

Yuurei would hear his words and it would seem like he was trying to get a better picture of things. He just kept himself relaxed as it didn’t bother him what his friend had brought up. It wouldn’t take long, but he would ask about them kidnapping someone. It brought Yuurei a laugh when he heard those words because that was the funniest thing anybody could say. Still, after a few seconds of laughing, he would look over at his friend.

“I mean if kidnapping a grown elf is kidnapping then yeah I guess we did. They were a prisoner, and it was more of Khalfani asking him questions. I also tested him out in his strength but took him to the infirmary to get treated. If anything he was a free man able to do anything he wanted.” He said to Brone.

He would shake his head because it seemed like Jikan really tried to make them look like monsters, and he was starting to think they should act like that when it comes to bad guilds.

“I guess if Jikan wants to claim to kidnap, I can do that. It’s not in my character to do such a thing, but if it gets them riled up then it would be something interesting to see.” He said to Brone as he would look away.

Brone was slightly surprised by Yuurei's answer, though the half-elf's tone was the same as it has always been, making the situation seem lighter than it was, but either way, the fact remains that someone was indeed taken during the altercation, "Well I'm really sure of all these specifics, I'm more of a hands-on person than a tactician or politician, so I can't say if it be wrong to imprison someone who's from a dark guild" back in the mountains, making arrests were usually left to the guards and law enforcers, but it wasn't seen as problematic if a civilian would do such things when it involved a criminal or a person who had wronged the kidnapper in the first place. Khalfani and Yuurei implied they had their reasons for doing these things, and Brone would probably get a better understand if he knew what questions Khalfani asked during the interrogation, but it seemed too trivial for him. If asked, the dwarf would initiate a battle, but to be involved in interrogation and making moral decisions wasn't his area of expertise, it made things more difficult than they need to be, at least for him; he tried to keep his moral compass straight and preferred to see things as black and white, and when he was in doubt, he would just trust his gut and his friends.

"So where's the prisoner now?" Brone had to ask; though he didn't want to draw himself into moral complication, he at least wanted to know if the person was safe.

Yuurei would look at Brone as it would seem like the man was intrigued about everything that was said. He would hear his words and he would nod at his comment. Still, the man wasn’t imprisoned. He was able to leave at any time or at least that was to his knowledge,

It became quiet once again, and he would hear the question Brone had asked him. He would chuckle when he heard that, and he would look at the waterfall.

“The prisoner was free to go whenever they wanted. I’m not sure where they are here, but I’m pretty sure that they aren’t in this guild. Still, I think it’s something in the past and hopefully, we can move forward from this.” He said this to Brone.

The two of them would continue to hang out with each other, but Yuurei wasn’t planning on leaving where he was relaxing. He just knew that his day would continue to go normally as it always did.
