Emil had gotten the word that they wanted himself and Lumikki to take on a bit of a rougher mission that was seeming to be some kind of guard mission he guessed as they had not given the full details of the mission yet so he was going to have to wait for when he meets up with Lumikki and the client. Emil knows there is a lot of weird things going on in this country and he doesn't want to get turned into one of those things that they saw the last time so this time they are going to have to be careful not to let what is going on turn to what they get turned into. Lighting does not mesh well with robot parts as he would just end up shorting himself out when means less fights he can take on without killing himself pretty much.

Emil gets to the area that they were to be meeting at and he stands against a wall and bounces his foot as he waits impatiently for the others to show up and them to get to work as standing around wasn't fitting for him to have to do as he liked action and glory not standing holding up the wall of this place and Indiana gets closer to him and Emil speaks. "Gods why are they not here yet?" Indiana face palms with a laugh. "You are the one that is around an hour early for the meet up you big oaf!" Indiana backed up and watched Emil start laughing as he hadn't really thought about the fact that it was his own fault for being impatient and getting here far to early. He heard some whispers about what they might be doing hearing something about are they really having that guy guard such important things. He is guessing what ever the thing must be easily broken and they think he can't handle protecting it as he seems the brash and break everything around him kind of person and really they weren't wrong about it if the people he talks to are to be the judges of this.

Emil looks around as he waits and he sees them moving stockpiles of medical supplies and other things and he got distracted and followed them and saw where they were going with it and he wondered if maybe that was the stuff that was going to need to be guarded and if it was, where were they guarding it to or from. Emil guesses he will learn more about it later when they are told but this had a big hook in his attention if that wasn't what they were going to be doing today or maybe they had a different stronger team on that but that is an unclear thing that they would have to be doing so it was just better to wait for now than to make an ass of himself without Lumikki and the client here, so he will wait for the holes to be filled in first.

Yesterday Lumikki woke up to a letter slid under her door. Mail from the medical facility in Talaz Lagaar again. She groaned heavily as it irked her to see it, though she hadn't opened it yet, there was a feeling dread. The times she went in before, she's been a glorified cooling device, almost devoid of her humanity. Though helping the kids that one time was a lovely memory. The last time she visited to work she encountered what, if she remembers correctly, Indiana called cyborgs. Humans that were slowly being reinforced with machines.

After the drudge and the exhaustion of that long day, Lumikki realized that she never really gave that experience much thought. At the time she was eager to forget after a nice long cold shower and a hearty meal. She sat down on her bed as she was giving it much thought. Beckoning to her pet duck named Slushy with an extended hand full of snacks. He came when he registered the prospect of a meal, only getting snatched up quickly from the floor by her owner and pulled into her embrace.

If you can turn into....? Lumikki had to give this much thought and so it lingered in her mind before she settled on how to finish it. Lumikki came from Fjallgard, a Dwarven city that's exceedingly slow on innovations. Ilk of their kind opting not to "fix what isn't broken". Preferring to live on tradition as opposed to progression, and it's worked just fine for them. They are unrivaled in their fields of crafting and the hardy people overcome all that need to be challenged. All this is to say that for as intelligent Lumikki is, there is a lot she has not been exposed to. Her ignorance for technological things being one. This causes her to lag behind in the understanding of these thoughts and concepts as she tries to put all the things together in her mind. It wasn't even until she joined the guild that she was introduced to the mechanism of a refrigerator. Her family higher in the north had their own device to cool the food, one embedded with magic.

If you can turn into a "Androids", she finally completed the thought. Where does your humanity end and the machine begins? Prosthetics aren't a new concept. She's seen many of her kin dawn their share when battles have taken their toll and the price was bigger than they expected. All adorned and sculpted masterfully from their fellow brothers of the craft, both made and treated with care. Yet in her studies she began to find out and learn that machines were much more than the simple things she's used to.

Lumikki put the thought to the side for the moment as she began to pack her bag. There was a place and time written in the letter from the day before. A meeting point for the mission at hand but that's two hours away and she had time. She mulled over what she of all people could protect for them, but she didn't linger on the thought since she didn't care. The reward motivated her enough.

Lumikki walked to her window and looked back, checking to see if there was anything important she was forgetting. When she was satisfied to leave, she dipped out. Letting gravity pull at her body and she swan dove down through the air. Feathers forming and shifting around her before obscuring her entirely. A raven revealing itself as it darted out, flying in the direction of the location in the letter. Lumikki mull over the concept of what made humans, humans. Androids were simply metal golem, a concept she's heard and read about before. She even read over works of things regarding a being called a "Homunculus". An artificial human, the text said. Devoid of all of humanity and both its intricacies and sufferings. A form that doesn't change, doesn't feel, and doesn't understand life in even its simplistic ways. They were simply tools in human form and she supposed the androids were a metallic innovation of this ancient concept. Though the thought bothered her all the same. An existence like that was more sad than her own, a Daemon struggling to maintain her existence from the clutches of a Demon.

She mulled this over for the remainder of her flight. Gliding over the area to see what was below, or better yet, who was below. In her circling she spotted Emil leaning over and disgruntled. Surprising himself early. Lumikki showed up thirty minutes before the appointment, yet here he was. She wondered how long he'd been waiting.

She glided down and perched on a nearby tree. Observing the man at first before making her presence known. "How early did ya get here Thunder God?"

Emil looked around for who had just spoken to him but he doesn't see her so he just speaks out loud. "I got here around and hour and fifteen minutes before the meeting, who is asking?" He was not sure who or what had asked him as he already hears the souls in his cape as well as the gods in his head. He needs to figure it out but he feels that it is unimportant to worry about the voice that spoke to him. He kept looking around as a voice from his cape says she is up in the tree and tells him if he fires now he has a clean shot. Emil does not aim his hand as he was not going to fire at the bird as he thinks he knows who the bird is and that is his partner for this mission. The client walked up to the meeting point and looks at Emil and then looked around for where the other person was.

"Where is your partner? At is she unreliable?" Emil pointed to the bird in the tree and the client just blinked and then looked back at the man that was standing there again. "What are you a demon slayer with you own little bird friend?" The man sighed and shakes his head and the client starts speaking on what this mission is going to entail. "You both are to keep this medicine safe as you travel to the other marked check points and give out the supplies so try not to break them." The client shoved the paper into Emil's hands and then walked off pointing the way to the supplies they were being sent to watch over and make sure that make it to the check point and to be delivered. "Watch out for the bandits and the mechia people that want to have you fail."

Emil looks at the paper as he walked to the supplies and he looked at the number on the container and he sees that it is the right one and he signals the woman to come to him and he gets to the front where there is a mana car attached to it and Emil wonders if he can even drive or not but he knows that it is too big for the bird woman to drive it as she probably wouldn't be able to touch the pedals and he gets in and then waits for the other woman to get in as Indiana got in and took his seat in the middle seat and he looks ready and fired up to go and Emil just hopes that he doesn't crash this thing and cause them to fail be for they even get started on this request but he will just have to hope he can fake it till he makes it.

He starts it up and he starts driving on the road that leads toward the next check point and Indiana is holding the map to feed Emil directions so they don't get lost.

Before the client could walk away Lumikki flew down and shifted. Making sure to be in his line of sight as she did, her feathers smothering her form before quickly trailing behind her. "Yea, it's understood. Emil the demon slayer and his little bird friend are on it." The client was confused at first to see the bird indeed shift to a woman. The surprise left him quite embarrassed be he decided to be angry instead. "Sure, sure just get it done. I don't know why'd you would wait for your client as some animal. Now as you know, I'll be off."

Lumikki wasn't even paying attention to him speak. His prior rudeness set off her temper and she was more interested in the, the car was it. She never got to ride one of those. So after Emil climbed on board she ran into the other side and sat next to Indiana. She glanced at the map he held."That's quite the long ways ta go. Looking like we'll have our fair share of work to do aye. Least it's more fun than the norm though. For that I'm highly entertained already. So ah, can I drive this on the way back?"

Emil and Indiana look at the woman making the request to drive back and they both blink and think about it. "We will have to see if we can find something to help you to reach the pedals…unless you want to sit in my lap and do it." He was only half teasing her as he was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to reach the pedals. Emil laughs as he thinks about her actually accepting his offer to drive in his lap. He speeds up taking the turns drifting and not being careful or safe at all as if he might just be insane and in record time he gets them to the first check point on the trip and there was trouble there waiting a gang waiting to attack them for the supplies. Emil jumps forward from the car at them lightning crackling off of his body as he goes at them laughing and calling them bastards and idiots.

Indiana swiftly grabbed the stick control and lands on the brake so the car didn’t go flying off the road cause of the idiot jumping out at them like that he needs to learn not to be so impatient. Indiana looks to Lumikki and he gives her a thumbs up and he gets the car into park and he runs out to help the big oaf that had just jumped out and into the fray like it was the order sent to him and not that he was to guard the car and supplies but Indiana wasn't going to back down from fighting as he was usually just getting left back to watch the children but today he was not going to do that he was going to get some licks in. Indiana also can tell they are just low level grunts that are not going to scare him off.

The gang of people didn't really seem phased by the man jumping out at them as if they knew he was the one coming and that he was hired to fail this quest and they use earth magic and Emil changed his magic to Arcane and they were confused why he was able to just keep tearing through their spells and why they were not able to take him down. But Emil knew they were going to be coming at him with earth magic and how they were coming was not as strong as they thought it would be and that was not going to cut it. They started to fall back while fighting the three that were attacking them and they hope that they could get away but Emil for sure was not going to let that happen. Emil hits the ground and the arcane lightning springs up out of the ground.

Aye, I get to drive a car then ay. I could figure out the pedals later!" Lumikki grinned at the prospect of finally driving for the first time. Before leaving home she never knew this was an option. She leaned back as she gave it thought, what life back in her old city would be like if they invited these kinds of things normally. Instead of holding on to what was tried and true. Lumikki loved tradition greatly, but she also enjoy at least knowing all the possibilities out there.

Emil was driving in a haphazard way, though it didn't bother Lumikki any as she was enjoying the speed and the ride. Sticking her head out the window to enjoy the wind through her hair and face, a feeling she enjoyed greatly. Though this time, she didn't have to be in the sky to enjoy it. Her body jerked and jumped with every sharp turn and bump in the road. She had a really good time enjoying the thrill but sadly there were people in the way of their drop point. She pouted in annoyance to have her ride cut short like this. Though at least she wasn't bored, Emil simply decided to jump out of the car and face them. No regard for even slowing down let alone stopping, not like it bothered Lumikki much as she laughed it all off. Indiana was the wise and sensible one to park the car and assure her all was fine. She took a moment from her laughter to thumbs up to him back before jumping out of the car to follow Emil. After all, he couldn't have all the fun to himself.

He was bulldozing most of them, lighting crackling in the air while he made quick work of them. Though his spells had a different shine to them, this made Lumikki curious. Not so distracted by that though as she hunted what every straggler would run in off-shooting directions. Avoiding the lightning Emil surged through the ground. Clawing the air as a magic circle firmed below them, massive ice shards jutting from the ground. They were impaled by her ice, screams escaping their mouths as they recoiled from the pain. Lumikki walked over to one of the grunts whose leg was the only thing hit. He lay on the ground bleeding and panted. "Say, mate, what compelled you and your lot to inconvenience us? Don't ya see we are busy here?"

He kept on panting from the pain hardly focused on answering her. She didn't care so much about that thought as she did the implication people were actually trying to make her fail her quest. She undid her spell, the men impaled sighed in relief. She stepped on the leg of the one she spoke to before, causing him to groan again. "I don't got ta repeat myself, do I?" He groaned again before muttering something about a resistance. They caught wind of the shipment and were sent to take the package back. Lumikki nodded as she felt for their cause, but as far as she knew, this medicine was still going to those that need it and she wanted to get paid.

She walked away and entered the car through the driver's seat, taking advantage of Emil's leave. Though she didn't mind the offer to sit on him if her reaching the pedals didn't work out.

Emil kept fighting lightning and fists flying every where as he was not going to let this stand and he teams with Indiana as they were making sure to make a good team effort and having fun and once he is done with it he walks back to the car. Emil looks at the woman who had gotten into the car in the driver seat and he sighed. He then went to the back of the car and takes some supplies from the back and he puts it in the check points locked drop box and then he gets back to the car and he hops up into the car looking at her. "You want to drive early? Can you reach or do you need to sit in my lap?" depending on her answer he gets her on his lap or she starts driving herself. Either way they are heading for the next check point of the quest.

Emil wonders if they are going to have stronger forces ahead or if this is just going to be the end of this all as this check point should be the last but it is hard to tell if this will go smoothly or not as they might have a bigger and stronger force waiting for them and he can’t wait as he wants more of a fight and to be able to let loose again. He doesn’t know if this will turn into another fight to protect the supplies or if it will just end in sadness and they get a clean drop off and can be off to their base to end the mission and get paid for their time and he needed to make sure that they didn’t lose even a drop of the medicine and the supplies that will be saving lives around this horrible place as even the people that live here hate it here.

Emil is letting off tiny shocks as he thinks that he can see people sneaking around the area around them so this might be an ambush which would make this a hell of a lot more fun. He makes sure that he doesn’t shock Lumikki as he needs her to be at the top of her game as she is the rookie about to be a normal member and he wonders if she likes to help him or if she disliked to be stuck with him on these missions and that hopefully will not be here answer if he was to ask her about it. She was his friend or at least he hopes she is his friend but she might just be using him for things but no way that could be right. Emil looks at Indiana who is looking back into the back with the supplies and watches like he had seen something back there in the back of it. Indiana says some on has snuck on board and they need to pull over as this is dangerous and they might be stealing.

Lumikki tried to reach the pedals and she could, if she slid forward that is. She was off by two inches. Though she would and could ice the remainder, she took Emil's offer. Getting out of the car and then crawling on top of his lap when he settled. Emil assured her she would have full control, she'll lightly press her feet down and he would do the rest pushing the pedals down for her. Lumikki grinned big as she "stepped" on it. Emil put his foot down all the way on her insistence as she was driving at a speed that matched him. He driving brash at first but it smoothed out soon enough in. So though she matched his speed, her driving was more fluid. All the time flying and moving accordingly were really showing in her driving.

Lumikki's eyes were glued to the road for the next drop spot. Hardly focused on the details besides that. "Got to say, really appreciate the trust in me to take the wheel. I'm thinking I'm some kind of natural. Least we alive this long to say it." She leaned forward as she was lost on the road, glancing away only to peek at the map and confirm her turns beforehand. Indiana would feed her the directions in the beginning readily but something consumed his attention. Didn't bog her any bit since she found she could seamlessly do both. Though it was kind of taxing at the speed she was going, so she prompted Emil to ease off a bit on the gas. Took him a tad to notice her cue but he complied.

In the corner of her vision, she would notice little streaks of electricity. Knowing it was not a function of the car, she wondered if something had Emil stirring. They looked quite pretty from what she could notice but sadly her focus was mostly on the road. "Ye doing well mate? I know I'm new to driving but Ima smart lass and we ain't dead yet." Though just as she finished her sentence, Indiana mentioned someone sneaking within their haul. Before Lumikki could slow the car down properly so they could check, a cloud of dark smoke was thrown before them as if to obscure their vision. She laughed to herself maniacally as she could see where the idiots were getting at.

They were hoping no one in the car noticed their dimwit climbing the back and so with the darkness in front we would be forced to stop so we couldn't crash. The thing is, Lumikki saw just find. None of it bothered her vision. So she decided to step on it once more, this time forcing Emil's foot down herself. They drove through the smoke and the trees seamlessly. She could even hear the idiot in the back crying and screaming for her to stop before they crashed. Lumikki laughed as she ignored him, waving her hand out the window to slick the floors with ice so anyone driving after would find a miserable time.

"Don't mean to cut in ye fun Thunder God, but the wares come first aye? You'll get plenty of time to knock sense in them once I park yonder. I'll even move the package myself so ye can go all out. How's that sound mate?" She said before she squealed in delight, moving the gear stick before making a hard turn. The car swives around in a circle before stopping dead before the location. The parking was near perfect albeit slightly off in the presentation.

She opened the door and jumped out, giving enough room for Emil to get past her. Letting him pull the rat from the back as she looked over the instructions. Once she noted the proper package, she walked over to the back. The rest of the goons were showing up by then, some already looking beaten in. Lumikki hummed to herself as she collected the items. Hopping out the back and walking over to the point. Ignoring all the chaos happening around her a crackles of lighting whipped all over. Some barely missing where she stepped. Lumikki fully trusted in him though. Brash as he may be, he's skilled and careful. She dropped the packages in their spot, the people coming to fetch them. Signing the slip of paper she handed them while saying their thanks. She nodded in return and was back on her way to walk over to the car. Enjoying just how pretty the look of Emil's lightning was. It was also nice spying on how Indiana carried himself in a fight. She was so used to him babysitting she forgot he probably knew his way around a brawl. She sat atop the hood as they finished off the rest. Snacking on the darkness from her shadow.

Lumikki didn't hate this, at least that was what she was thinking as she sat back and watched. She liked questing with someone as chaotic as Emil. She pulled her legs toward herself and hugged her knees. Resting her head on them as she would follow all the crackles of lightning before her with her eyes. She made an ice flower in her hand, comparing the beauty of the spells. The black darkness took away the ability of her ice to shine in the sun like the norm, but the darkness made her ice look somewhat like glass or obsidian. There was beauty there too.

She would give it some more thought about how just the little things could change something so much it's near indistinguishable. She wondered if the same applied to cyborgs too.

Emil finished the fighting as they fled away and he looked back to her and he sees her sitting on the hood and have a black ice flower in her hand and he walked over to her and he gently uses a little of his lightning and he makes her dark ice flower glow with the lightning charging her flower and making it brighten and as he did this Lumikki should be able to see that he was slightly hurt. Emil not wishing to have her see this he gently lifted her off of the hood and he carries her back into the car and Indiana jumps in the passenger side and Emil gets into the driver side and lets her drive again to get them home as he promised her that he would let her drive back and if Lumikki hadn't already healed the wound Indiana takes some bandages and he starts dealing with the wound as the take off driving for home and Emil thinks that this was a mission well done and that they should be paid well for their work.

Lumikki was in a bit of a daze from all the light and brilliance before her, she didn't even notice when it ended. Not until Emil walked up to her and charged up her flower. It glowed with a beauty she never thought it could have, and the light showed from its dark frosted edges in a way she never thought it would.

Lumikki teared up a little, it was like Emil had read her mind. Though before she can settle on her enjoyment of the moment, she noticed the pain her companion had. The fool thought he could hide away from the dazzling trick he gifted her. She sighed deeply, gently placing her hand over his wound to slightly ice it over. The cold provides relief to the pain. She let him lift her, leaning into him as he did. " By the looks of it, ye had yourself too much fun. Can't be wreckless thought, think of the Thunderlings!"

She said that but she was adamant about treating the rest of it, putting the knowledge of her prior medical missions and her studies to work. Only when she was satisfied with her care did she sit back on his lap and hit the gas. She had more reason now than before to get home fast.
