Yuurei

Yuurei had lost to Ansem, so he needed more magic in his arsenal. This meant that he needed to train his spells more. He needed to move faster than he could right now. He had a spell for speed, but he could move faster. He had a spell that made him the strongest he could be currently. He figured he would do that with speed. This was the perfect time as he was now in a new guild, and they had a training dome that could withstand the majority of what he would be trying today.

He knew what to try first and he would start it off. Yes, the light mage would open his hand as he was pouring his mana into his hand. He was creating the magic circle that he was going to need, and it was something he could do without a problem. The circle would appear, which meant that he would need to start the next part of the spell.

Yuurei

While he was doing this, he would create the stars that would come out soon after. These stars came out all at once, and when he saw the stars, he would see that there was one more than the last. It would look like it would go well, but then he saw the spells exploding one by one. It would push the Nephilim back as it was too much for him to handle. He would block himself from being harmed in a way. He would hurt his arms as he could feel the blowback from getting his spell incorrectly. He would sigh when he saw this and Renji would get off him and he would walk off.

Yuurei was glad he had done that because he didn’t want the Exceed to get hurt. Still, he figured he would try it again as he needed to stabilize the spell. It wouldn’t work right at the beginning, so he decided to keep trying.

Yuurei had activated the magic circle once again. His hand opened as it would appear, and the stars would all construct at the same time. They would come out of the circle, and he would watch things. He was hoping that his control in his mana would be better than the last time. While the stars moved around, they would like they were going toward him. When they started moving, they would start going around like crazy as they had gone out of control. The light mage would find himself dodging the stars as he was moving around the dome.

He didn’t want to get hit by them, so he continuously moved around. This happened for a few seconds as the stars that were moving around the dome would come to a stop. They would start dispersing one by one as he would stop moving around. Once everything dispersed, Yuurei would relax as he would come to a stop as he could only shake his head at what happened.

Yuurei was used to this, or at least he thought he would be. He figured those things would go well for him after all the times he had gone through this. Still, each spell was different even if they were similar. He figured that he would continue thought and it was because he didn’t suffer any type of serious injuries. The Berserker would try again as he would open his hands and he would start pouring mana into his hand. The magic circle would appear and once it solidifies the other stuff would come to fruition. The light mage would watch as the stars would come out of the circle at the same time.

They took shape too and they were doing the same thing they would always do. He kept trying to do create the stars, but they would continue to go out of control, and he didn’t understand the reason behind it going wrong.

Yuurei would relax and calm himself down. He needed to get himself in the right mindset. His spells had continued to fail every time to cast. It wasn’t going well, and he figured that it would continue to do that as time would go by. He had to think about things, and then after he got everything out of his mind, clear it. This was the only way he felt like he would be able to get through this and move on to the next spell. His eyes scanned the area and when he figured it was time, Yuurei would close his eyes.

He would take a deep breath and exhale soon after. He kept doing this as he was trying his best. He didn’t need to fail, and honestly, he needed to become stronger. Yuurei figured that he would think of the positivity that he needed to put himself through. The man would stay still for a bit as he continued to think for a couple of minutes.

Yuurei would finally clear his mind as he would open his eyes. He was relaxed and he was hoping that this would get him where he needed to be. The half-elf would move his hand out and open his hand. He would look at it as he poured mana into his hand. The mana would go through, and the magic circle would form as it was the easiest part. Now the part he had the most difficulty with was the creation of the stars. The magical content would come out of the circle as the stars would be created all at the same time. It seemed like this part he had gotten down as well, which meant he needed to be able to direct the stars to him now.

Yuurei would do just that and he would focus the power of the stars on him. He would move them towards him, and this time they would do just that, which meant it would work right?

Yuurei would have the stars going into him all at the same time. They would go in and he would look around to see if he was fine. He jumped around to see and then he would start running around. It seemed like things were going fine as he moved around. That was when something would go wrong. Yuurei would feel the shock going through his entire body. This would cause him to fall to the ground as he twitched a bit. The light mage had put too much mana into this without realizing it. He would tighten his hands as he was waiting for the pain to go away.

The light mage knew he would go through this several times. It was something he had expected throughout the entire process. When he was done with that, he would get up from the ground slowly as he could still feel his body twitching a bit.

Yuurei stretch a bit as he was trying to make himself feel better. That was never a good feeling. When it had fully gone away, the light mage figured he would try again. That was all he had been doing and it was failing. Still, he knew that he would soon be able to get things right. After that, he would be able to continue to do what was needed until he mastered it. Renji watched his partner continue to fail and knew that this spell would be good for him in the future.

The light mage decided it was time again as he would open his hand and pour mana into the magic circle once again. Now that he was done with the circle hovering above his hand, he continued to concentrate to bring out the stars. The Berserker would do just that as the stars would find themselves coming out all at the same time and now hovering above the magic circle.

Yuurei was focused alright, and he had everything in his hand. He just needed to bring it home and he was going to do that. The light mage would move the stars right towards him, and they wouldn’t go out of whack. They would move towards the light mage, and they would enter the man all at the same time. He would feel the surge of energy within his body. There was no shock this time, and that was a good sign. Still, he knew not to call it off just yet. He needed to move around and see if things would work just fine. He would tap his feet on the ground for a bit, and then looked at what was ahead of him.

The Nephilim started running around the dome and while he was doing this Renji would just watch him. It would seem like he had gotten the handle of things as he was moving around the place.

The berserker kept moving and he was excited with the new addition of speed. He didn’t have to go all out with a spell and his gauntlet for the time being. It was enjoyable to move this way with not a lot of mana being used. He would come to a stop soon enough as he would look over at Renji. The Exceed was happy that things had finally gone positively correct for him. The light mage knew that he had to enjoy his victory for the time being. He was going to be repeating the same spell over again until things felt natural to him.

“Now the real work begins Renji.” He would tell his friend that.

“Yeah it will, so don’t mess up anymore. I know you got more spells to work on.” He said to Yuurei.

The light mage would nod as he would find himself dispelling the spell again. He would give it a few minutes before he would start trying to repeat the same steps he had done before.

Yuurei would continue on with his training. The time would go by, and he kept trying to master his spell. It was going fine for most of it, but for some reason, there were times that would go bad. He didn’t know why, but he couldn’t stop right now. The Nephilim would continue working on this as he knew that there was no need to give up. The light mage knew he would be able to master it just like he had been able to with every spell he had. He wouldn’t give up no matter what kind of result he ended with. It was time-consuming, and Renji just kept watching him. He had to make sure to be ready to go get Yuurei medical attention at any time.

He wasn’t giving up because he felt like he was close to making sure that he could go onto the next spell on his list. His motivation and will to never give up would be the reason why he would get through it.

Yuurei kept on mastering his very first spell, and it seemed like things were getting better. As the hours would progress, the failures within the activation would dwindle. This was great and as he continued using his spell, he would see where he was going wrong from time to time. He would make sure to correct it as he kept practicing his spell. Renji would be impressed with his tenacity in all of this. The light mage kept at it though and soon enough he would notice that he was no longer messing up with the spell. This was perfect, and while he continued to do this, there wouldn’t be a time when he was messing up with the abilities of his first spell.

It would be able to work as intended and he would be able to finally come to a stop with the spell. He would walk over to Renji and he would sit next to him and he would sigh with relief. He couldn’t believe he took this long to finish this spell. Still, it was better than the last time he had learned his other spell. It took him longer than learning this spell that was for sure.

Yuurei had to do a lot to do learn, train and master this one spell. He was able to do it, but he had to rest for a bit. He was going to be working on his second spell soon. It was going to be like the last spell, but it was going to be based on his constitution. He wasn’t sure how it would work, but he knew that it was something he needed. He noticed that in his battle since he didn’t have any armor, he needed a way to increase his ability to stay in a fight. The light mage was trying to figure this out as he didn’t know how he would know if things worked. He figured he would take it one step at a time though. The Nephilim had to get things started. The first thing was creating the magic circle for this technique.

He got up from the floor as he would move onto the middle of the room, and he would stretch a bit before opening his hand.

Now that he was ready his hands would start to feel the mana surging within them. He had done this several times, and he wanted to make sure that for this spell it would be the same thing. The magic circle would appear in his hand and while he kept pouring into the magi circle, he could see that things were stable. This was good because he needed to make sure that this would stay the same as his spell would be something he never really did before.

He would bring the magic circle to disappear as he would start from the beginning. This time he was thinking about the stars that he was going to create. He had to make sure that these stars that he was creating were for vitality, which would allow him to last long in fights and take more damage before he would fall to the ground unconscious.

Yuurei concentrated on how he was going to do that, and after a minute or two of thinking, the berserker would open his hand again. He would start the process again as he would pour mana into his hand. The mana pouring in once again would bring the magic circle to appear again. It floated above his hands as he wasn’t done with his magic though. He had to stabilize the creation of the stars and they would start to come out. They were all coming out at the same time, and he could tell from a glance that there would be twenty-three stars in this spell.

While they were coming out though, something would go wrong as the stars would disperse, alongside the magic circle. The Nephilim would just sigh as he figured this would happen but knew that he had to try again. He would prepare himself as he would open his hand and pour mana into his hand so he could start again.

While he was waiting for things to move along, his magic circle would appear. He knew this would be the easiest step, but what was to come next, he was nervous. While he waited, he would see the stars coming out of his magic circle. They were coming out and he figured this would be the time where he wouldn’t mess up. Of course, that was something he could only imagine. The spell would somehow collapse as it would implode. It wouldn’t hurt anybody, but he would shake his head as it seemed like he was going to take a few minutes to get a handle on this.

Yuurei kept trying with his magic, and he kept trying to create the stars and stabilize them. It was weird and hard for him to do, but eventually, the young man would be able to get close to perfecting this step. He figured he would give it one more go at it and hopefully it would be the last one.

Yuurei would pour his mana and as he did it the magic circle would appear. The next part he would hope to go just as smoothly. The stars would start coming out all at the same time. His level of concentration had to be something else. He was making sure he was preparing for it. The stars would come out, and he would look at them as they would move around above the magic circle. He was waiting for something to happen as it had happened before. Still, as he continued to pour his mana into the spell, it would seem like the stars were no longer going haywire.

He was able to stabilize the creations of the stars, which was a good thing, but now he had to start pouring mana into them to be able to do what he wanted them to do. He would close his hands and he would disperse his spell as he figured he could relax for a bit.

He found himself closing his eyes as he was thinking about how he could do this. He knew that he was going to fail, but for how long? He wasn’t sure, but he would release the negative thoughts. Once he was able to do that, the light mage would open his eyes he would raise his arms, and stretch a bit. The half-elf was ready, and he would put his hand out and opened it. The mana pouring into his hand would create the magic circle, which would float in the air. Then the appearance of the stars would start to come out of the magic circle.

He would watch them come out and he would nod because it would seem like things were going well. Now he would try to move the stars into him. His thoughts brought them to move around and when they moved away from the circle, they would start exploding and push Yuurei away from where he stood.

Yuurei would feel the impact of the explosion, and he would fall to one knee. That hurt and it seemed like this was going to be happening a lot. He would chuckle a bit as he didn’t think he would be struggling for this. He shook his head as he had to make sure that the negativity was out of his mind. He would stand up again and he would shake his body. He had to prepare himself and he would try it again. The mana poured into his hand as he opened it up again. The magic circle would appear floating above his hands, and he would start creating the stars.

They would come out of the circle all at the same time, and when they were all there, he would try again. He moved the stars again, but instead of blowing up this time, they would find themselves going out of control. They were flying around the dome, and Yuurei had to do something.

He started dodging the stars as he was running around the dome. This was stupid and he didn’t enjoy this at all. Still, at least he kept them stable, and they were exploding. He just had to make sure that they would correctly. As of right now, he had to wait for them to disperse before trying again. He would find himself running for a few seconds before they would start dispersing. He would catch his breath from all the running and when he was ready, he would stand straight.

The light mage was ready to continue this as he needed to try again. He would pour mana into his hand again and created the magic circle. The stars would come soon after as they would appear all at the same time. Once he had done that he would have them move into them, and they would start doing that. He would hope to god that this time it would work, but would it truly?

The stars would approach him, and they would enter his body all at the same time. Once this happened, he felt a surge of energy, which excited him. He looked around his body and started moving around. He would jump around to see if this actually worked as he felt that he was able to do a lot right now. While he was moving around Renji would continue to watch him as he had to make sure nothing happened to him. It seemed like he had gotten the spell correctly, but then it would hit him. It would start to backfire as he would fall on his ass as he felt exhausted from the spell.

He wasn’t sure what was happening right now, and he would feel weak and wondered where his spell had gone wrong. Now he would have to dispel the spell and wait for a second. He needed to gain his energy back before tackling this spell again.

It would take him a couple of minutes, but he would find himself getting up. He would pat himself down because he had gone through a lot of training. Still, now that he was ready, he figured he would start again. The light mage would continue to try and get the spell right. He kept repeating his steps and every time he would find himself falling. The spell wouldn’t work as he made sure he didn’t give up. The Nephilim would go through it all, but he made sure not to give up. The things he was going through were nothing compared to the death he had almost accepted. There were times when he felt he was going to pass out but made sure that he didn’t. He had an entire guild that counted on him.

The stronger he had gotten the better off he would be to help them and protect them.

Yuurei was ready to try again. He had been going back and forth with this spell. The man had gotten closer and closer each time. He figured that this time he would be able to do it. The light mage would move his hand and he would open it. The Nephilim would pour his mana into his hand and the magic circle would appear above his hand. Things were going well so far as he would move on to the next step. The stars would come out all at the same time. This was something he was able to do easily now. The next part was the hardest thing to do. He had made sure that his thought was all into this.

They would move towards him, and they would enter his body. He felt the surge of energy going through him and he felt different this time. The light mage started moving around the dome as he was trying to see if things would change, but after a few minutes, he could tell that he had done his spell correctly. This was good, but he was done just yet.

Yuurei had been able to do the spell once, but now he had to make sure that he remembered the feeling. The light mage had dispersed his spell, and he would continue on with it. He found himself training his spell for hours. There were times when he couldn’t do it properly and the backlash was stupid. He had gone through a lot of pain, but he didn’t give up. His will kept him going and soon enough he would be able to do the spell over and over again. The Nephilim would realize that he finally got the hang of things, and he would continue to do it. This kept happening with Yuurei until he was able to make sure that the spell would activate, and he didn’t have to think too hard about what he wanted it to do.

The light mage would now have a spell that allowed him to take more damage, amongst allowing him to do other things. Still, for now, he would lay on the ground, and he would find himself relaxing. He had to gain his energy back for the next spell that he had planned on trying out.

Yuurei

Yuurei had been resting for quite some time and now it was time to move on to the next spell. This one was different than the other two, which was a good thing. He needed to make sure that he had a spell that he could use to get away from things. It would be for the best when he needed to get away from things in an instant. That was what this spell would be for or at least he hoped so. He would get up from the ground and he would stretch a bit before getting into work. Renji would see that this was going to be a long training session, so he relaxed a bit. The Exceed would close his eyes as he figured he would wake up if he heard Yuurei calling out for him.

The light mage thought about what he could do, and he figured he would use his weaker spells as an example.
