She dressed in a scarlet red dancer attire as she was going to dance today for the people. They offered many to attend, but not many replied. It felt strange to wear such attire, but she was promised that no one will harm her nor touch her.  To match her whole get-up, they gave her red eye contacts to bloom her color into a ruby color. Her calm facial expression made her perfect for the 'serious' type of the dancers as they wanted different expressions and ethnicities. She has noticed some were from Sin, Enca, Deserto and even Seven.

The area was colorful as people were making their floaties, she too needed to make one as she wanted to find someone to help her make one. What will she even make? Who will even appear to help her and how long did they have till the festival march begun? She could hear the cheering of people, discussions of what they were going to make for the floaties that will be shown to everyone. She tip-toed as she stretched and yawned, waiting for who knows who.

Kaito was out in town he was dressed in more traditional garb, he was a little less covered so he is trying to be hyper aware of the people running playing and screaming and carrying on around him but still enjoy the day not clad in a cloak and mask, through Revy skips along the street and mocking Kai for being slower than a bear sloth, he laughs and enjoys watching the people around him even through he kept himself away from them so not to risk anything, it was his first time in Joya and he wasn’t gonna try and spoil Revy’s happy day by causing any scenes.

He thinks he smells a familiar smell his dragon senses have been finer tuning as he used and trained with them on a daily basis, he isn’t sure who it is but he was gonna follow his nose to who ever it is, and maybe have a friend for the day as long as they don’t flee the second they see him walking around less protected than he would normally feel safe in.

As he nears who he had caught the scent of he sees a familiar woman that he hadn’t seen in a little bit he wondered if it was smart to just walk up to her but he figured he really had nothing to lose so he does. " Hey Quilla funny running into you here." he rubs the back of his head with a smile and he stops short of her so he doesn’t risk bumping into her very exposed skin.

Revy looks at Quilla and narrows her eyes a little. "Aren’t you supposed to be avoiding his country cause they want to sell you off? Wait did you get bought and that is why you are being forced to dress like that?" Revy looked a bit worried that Quilla might have been captured and is being forced to dress like this. Kaito raised his fan a little and laughs behind it.

She heard her name suddenly, turning to the right position like a feared rabbit. Her heart calmed as she realized it was Kaito, "Kaito, Revy, it is ... nice to see you two," she wasn't sure of that word still as she is still getting use to Fiorian. That was what people used to expression likeness of seeing someone, right? Revy seemed suspicious of her which was odd enough, but then again it did look like the attire the enslaved people wear when they're forced to dance for their masters.

Slowly she shook her head, "No, I put on these red eye contacts and other things, so they won't know it's me. They only know me for having black hair and dark eyes, sometimes gold, but not red," she explained quietly as she stood beside them. She gave a grim expression, "But I think they know I'm hiding behind white hair now since I had two guys run after me the other day..." she spoke calmly still, but a hint of sorrow was in there. Ragnar The Red was kind enough to kill them for her, dispose them even as she had the note stuffed into her bust attire. "You look correct for the occasion, Kaito. Glad to see you without your mask with you," she complimented, or at least tried. "Right! I am dancing... for the festival, but we need to make floaties, you want to make them with me? Both of you of course." she added as she didn't want Revy to feel left out.

He smiles and laughs a bit at her being scared of him. "Oh fear, the normal response to seeing me. Sorry for suddenly appearing and scaring you." He tilts his head at her saying that. "It is nice to see you Quilla." He gives her a thumbs up.

"It is nice to see you, just now I am worried about you and your safety here. Kai I think we stay with her and help her and if trouble comes portal her away." Her expression went from questioning to worried about Quilla and her safety.

He moved to pat her on the back but he stops himself not wanting to risk her getting hurt by his touch. "I will protect you and get you somewhere safe if that happens again." He moves so that he is in front of her and smiles to try and comfort her cause he is scared he will hurt her.

He looks down at himself and does a small spin. "Yeah I thought i should dress up a little, I wish I had had this back when we had that picnic it would have been perfect to match how you had came." He reached again to touch her but stops himself again remembering he is not in his usual gear. "Yeah my usual mask would of use stood out so it was easier to just not wear it." He rubs the back of his head with a nervous smile.

Kai and Revy both nod that they will help. "Just tell me what you need and I will do my best, I am pretty decent with my hands." Revy stands tall and ready for her orders and Kai looks to Revy then back to Quilla. "Looks like we are ready to serve you." He kneels as a form of teasing her. He is trying to help her cheer up and at least get her to smile, cause looked so grim. He can't really hug her or pat her on the back in this attire but he still wants to help her feel more comfortable and more at ease.

She watched as Kaito was putting in effort to make her feel better. Her eyes saw that he was about to come forward to touch her, but retreated his actions. Something in her felt upset, but before she could say anything she didn't want to interrupt what he was saying. The boy seemed afraid to really touch her skin, was it because of his thing or because of what happened last time at the picnic?

'We are ready to serve you,'

Her heart started to beat fast as she lost air for a moment and coughed. She remembered when her men at war served her, all people in her city served her, all besides those higher than her or were owned by them. Her past will always hunt her down, rather it's the people or the memories. All those people that served her in the War, they died... She couldn't protect them, her fighting skills were horrible and not worthy. She slowly backed away and ran off. Wasn't because of him, but because of her memories and flashback reminding her that she was a failure. She couldn't even protect Akuko when it mattered the most. She was going to end up alone if it wasn't for the Demon that made the deal. Running past people, she went full speed and hid well as she tried to hold herself together in the dark.

That was when she heard a noise, a noise of of creature that was small, white and fuzzy. Her head turned to see a flying creature with a glowing stone floating above it's head. In it's hand was a little wand as it wiggled it around. Was it trying to say something? Why did looking at this thing calmed her?

Kai hurried to his feet and he followed after her, his clothes changing back to his normal clothing that where stored in Revy's bag. He leapt over the crowds heads and used his portals to follow after her so he could avoid the crowd, he was always right behind her so she never left his sight the whole time. He saw her go into a dark ally and he started approaching her slowly and he went to speak and tell her he was worried he was gonna hurt her with his curse. as he got closer he saw something strange appear and he gets next to her and places his gloved hand on her back gently patting it so she knew he was here with her so she didn't get scared of him if he spoke to her in that moment keeps his eyes on the strange creature.

"What is that creature? I haven't seen anything like it before." He was interested in what this thing was but he was more interested in trying to make sure his friend is okay, and to say he was sorry for acting as he did. "Are you okay Quilla? I am sorry I didn't comfort you right because I was scared I would hurt you, I guess I am a bad friend if I can't get over my own fears." He sighed sadly but he doesn't take his eyes off the thing in case it was was gonna attack her and he would protect her or send it away with his portals.

Revy is pushing through the crowd trying to keep up as Kai had reacted fast to follow Quilla who he had cause to be upset that he hadn't grabbed up Revy so in all respects he had failed two friends in one shot with his actions and he would have to pay for his mistakes later and he knew it. Revy looks around and thinks she saw Kai go down this dark pathway, she tries to make her way over to it through the crowd.

The white fuzzball that floated went towards her slowly. It's shining eyes gazed at her and danced in a swirl while making a cute yet funny noise. Did it not speak at all? She frowned as she saw the creature shine with warmth. Her arms reached out to it as she felt like a little girl again for a moment. She remembered that when she was a child, she had a doll of a creature almost like this one. She hugged it every time she missed her mother, her father ignored her to give her a better life or when she became so dead inside, she even talked to the doll itself.

The creature motioned slowly to Quilla and cuddled into her. The noise it made was more sad now as she wondered if it was her own sorrow that was making it feel this way. Soon after this commotion, Kaito appeared as he seemed tired or so she believed. How does she explain it?

"It was... not you, it was my past. I am sorry for making you worry," she slowly got up while hugging the creature. This hug, it felt nice and warm. "I am going to keep this, it's very comforting," she made a small smile towards the Moogle and Kaito. "I just remembered when I served my people in war, everyone died - including Akuko. She's only alive now because of a demon. I feel weak, but I'm sure I will get stronger someday...", she insisted to herself. "I also hope someday you will not fear to be touched by my hand nor yours towards me," she commented on the fear of his.

He let out a sigh of relief at her being okay and unharmed and the creature being friendly toward her. He looked at it and he wondered what it was if she was really okay to keep this thing, but he doesn’t sense any ill will from it at all so he guess es it is safe enough to have it near them. "I am just more glad you are safe and unharmed, sorry I shouldn’t have done the kneeling thing I will try to do better going forwards. "

He looks at her when she said she will get stronger and he smiles at her under his mask. "I believe you will get stronger and you will do great things. " He wonders if we really should fear her touch or his to her like he does. He doesn’t like to hurt people or cause them any issues with their friendship or trusting in him. "I will try to do better about it I promise just please don’t run off again please ? " he rubs the back of his head feeling a little dumb for over reacting to what had happened.

Revy looks at them and wonders what happened and where that creature Quilla is holding came from. ” Uhhhh where your new friend come from ?”” she looks up at Quilla for an answer.

Quilla gazed at Revy who appeared finally and started to ask questions about the moogle. She shook her head and as she was about to answer they heard someone yell, "Hey! They belong to ME," a man in a circus-like attire yelled. The moogle started to tear up and snuggle closer to Quilla as she wondered now why it reacted this way. The only time a child huddles against someone like this is if they were abused by the person that scares them.

The tall woman stood up tall and towered over the short man. "What business do you have with it? Why... does it fear you?", she asked, ignoring the two who were there for the moment. The man was sweating as her didn't realize how intimidating she really was. The moogle hid behind her as her pure heart was into protecting this small creature. Slowly, hidden in her outfit, she pulled out her Kitana and pointed it at him, "Explain yourself," she sounded angrier, a tone that Kaito has not heard. "I-I own it! I can do what I want with it," she wanted to stab him right then and there, but instead she pushed him against the wall and gave him a stern cold look, "They're free now, or do you want to say hi to a few friends of mine?". Rather or not, that was directed towards Kaito and Revy, was unknown as she could also be talking about her dead friends.

Kaito

Kaito looks at Quilla and he sees her pull out a weapon and she pinned the man to the wall. Kaito walks up beside her and he looks at the man. "Do you have any documents that you own this cute little thing?" Kaito waits for an answer as he wants to see this man produce some proof that he owns this creature and make him sign it over to Quilla if that is what this tiny creature might want to do. He thinks that she doesn't want this to not end in blood shed but he knows she could probably do it so he has to think up a plan so she doesn't end up dirtying her hands on this person that feels entitled.

He has a plan don on him and he has to do this and fast before she actually kills this person. "Quilla please don't dirty yourself with their blood." Kai opens some portals and howling and growling can be heard from within the portals, and Kai gets a evil cracked smirk on his face. "If they don't want to play nice we can make them disappear and make you not dirty your hands." He hopes this bluff works and stops her from gutting this man like a fish for this small puff ball of a creature.

She felt anger, something within her wanted to kill him, but it was all stopped before it even started due to Kaito's thinking. Suddenly, he disappeared as it was just the four of them now. Her eyes gazed away from the two and frowned, "I am... sorry. I don't know what came over me," she just wanted to protect the creature as it seemed as if the man was abusing and enslaving it. In the eyes of law, she is a criminal, but to her heart she was pure and good. Sometimes though she wonders if she will get to the point of going out of control.

She has yet to hear stories about her mother, but she will soon find out as she had a trip to Enca to go to. Her eyes went back to Kaito and Revy, "Do you... promise? If I call out to you... will you appear?", she asked as she knew that he could not. She will have to dirty her hands once more as always to protect herself and those that need protection.

He looks at her and he pats her head, he understands what she was aiming for and he knows she wasn’t aiming to do bad and was just moving and acting to protect it from what the man’s plans for it were or if he had horrible intentions for the cute little creature. " You did what you saw as right I don’t hold that against you."

He looks at her and hears her request. "if you need me and I am able I will appear to help you if you call for me. " he smiles at her and he rubs the back of his head. He knows he can appear where ever he wants but he wonders if she will ever actually call out to him and need his help or if she will handle herself and disregard the needs to call him in to help her in her time of need. He gives her a thumbs up and Revy gets in front of them and she stands tall and proud.

She looks Quilla in the eye and gives her a thumbs up. ” You can count on us!” She had no doubts in Kaito being able to come and help, the bumbling hero Kai is, she knows he is still a hero, chosen by those with more sight then them.

Did he not feel that she was the wrong person? He seemed like he would be a good friend and ally to have. He seemed to be understanding and understood her actions and words. "I thank you both for being able to count on you," she slowly spoke in her Fiorian way as her accent was there. She gazed towards the festival and held onto her Moogle, "Shall we move onto the festivities? We still need to make floaties," she spoke again, trying to big brain her words as she only had two years to practice.

She started to go towards the location she had on her map in her pocket. Thankfully, the attire had secret pockets. She opened it up and pointed at the place to Kaito. "We should go here," she advised as she led them to the area. Soon enough, they hit a tent filled with paper, cement, and other materials to use to build. Assuming they followed, she asked them, "What will you make? I plan on making a large lotus," she smiled innocently yet small.

He nods to her thank you with Revy, they look out to the festival like she did and Kai thinks if it is a thing he should really be doing or if he should be keeping his nose out of it but he figures he is already here and why should he ruin her fun plus he had just sworn to help her if she needs it and that will stand unless something causes a rift he between them as friends he intends to keep that word, his master always told him if he gives his word he better be willing to die for it unless something happens to cause the word to be void. "Yeah we do need to do that still." He smiles and gives her a thumbs up. He understands her clearly but he wonders if he should remind her he speaks Joyan or not.

He and Revy follow behind her to where ever they were having to go too. His eyes follow her arm to where she is pointing and he wondered where the map had come from to start with. They return to following her and Revy smiles excited for that they are gonna be making. He removes his gloves and shows her his palms his left has a yin symbol branded into it and his right has a yang symbol branded into it. " I think I am gonna make these symbols together as one." he puts his gloves back on and he starts looking around for the things to start to get to work on his being careful of people.

Revy smirks up and proudly states with a sweet smile. ” I am gonna make a puffer fish like I saw in one of the tanks!” she looks to Quilla for approval on her idea for hers.

"A Pufferfish sounds quite adorable," she complimented Revy's choice. She wondered if she'd like the taste of them. In Joya, they made dishes with them even though they were dangerous to devour. There was a slight chance that you could be poisoned by eating them and die. Her eyes oversaw Kaito as she wondered how he would look. With the symbols specifically, she was sure they would look quite remarkable. She was pleased with these answers even when her face showed otherwise.

"Those symbols have great meanings; I can't wait to see it," she gave a small smile and nodded, going back to hers. Her eyes wandered on her floaty as she was making a flying one. With the materials they had, she could do such a thing. After some silence and concentration, she was finally done. A little excitement was on her face, but they couldn't see it as her back was towards them. She held up her lotus lantern and looked at pretty it was. She wanted to light it now but didn't want to ruin it. She turned towards them and returned to the deadpan face before she did. "How are your guy's things coming?" she asked.

Revy is excited to hear that Quilla is on ship with her doing a pufferfish one, she hurries to go and gets started and Kaito looks at Quilla. " I have no idea what they mean or are, I got it from protecting a Demi-human cat girl in Bosco from a fire when some I want to call it a relic almost fell on her." He rubs the back of his head then he goes to getting to making his and hoping that he can make it look right but he has hope that he can do it to an acceptable level for her sake at least.

When she turned and looked Kaito’s is done and it looks like it was made by an artisan’s hand, he is now helping Revy slightly and she is still doing her best to make the spikes right and keep it looking like a decent puffer fish. "Mine is done but she is having a bit of trouble but I think I helped her get back on track. " He looks to her with a smile and a slight laugh.

Her eyes looked at him and then retraced her eyes onto Revy. She wondered if the two were friends now, the cat girl and him. Sometimes interactions create friendships which is alright with her. She hoped Kaito would make many friends. "Revy, let me help you," she spoke and approached her. Quilla attempted to help if she was willing to let her. Her eyes looked at the pufferfish warmly as she had a small smile. It was like helping a child on a project.

After they were done, she picked up hers attached to a stick. It glowed once picked up, and thankfully they were done by the time it was nighttime. The Moogle danced as it watched this whole time and went on Quilla's shoulder. "We should get going to join them. I have a dance to go join," she nodded and led them out towards where the festival parade was starting. "I bet everyone's will be great and beautiful," she commented as her eyes glowed by the lanterns and floaties around them. She followed the crowd and made spots for the other two before they had their little fun.

Kaito steps back and lets Quilla enjoy herself and help Revy who is glad to have Quilla help her even if Kai had already been helping her but she knows Kai is fine with her having Quilla help instead of him helping her. Kai just smiles and watches them keep working on it till it is done and up to the two ladies standards.

When she says they should get moving, they follow behind her and Kai keeps his eyes forward so he doesn’t bump into anyone on accident and he looks for where the tiny creature that was once cowering behind Quilla had went to, he had almost forgot about the small thing till just this moment that he realized that he had lost sight of the thing while her had made his design and things that went into it and Revy was excited to see what is gonna happen.

He hopes that Quilla has fun dancing and that no one decides they’re gonna just run out of the crowd because Kai might just send them to the void without even stopping to think about it or the suffering they might get from being trapped there. Not that he could care about it if they decide to attack someone that is just minding their business in this case.

Quilla walked alongside the two with her Moogle pretending to be floaty. She kept a small smile as she saw all the people accepting each other. That was what this event was for, right? With their floaty, everyone gathered up and wrote things on their lantern. It was a tradition to write a wish or some poem that is meaningful to you before sending them off. "They want us to write a meaningful poem or a wish on our floaties as they will send them off into the sky. Do not worry, though, and they will become fire and air after they get far enough into the sky," she wanted them to know that they won't litter anywhere as she walked to grab some pens.

Next, she gave them each one as she wrote her own;

A feeling of acceptance
Wanting Independence

As the wind flows fast or slow, I shall find a way to go.

I will lead, charge and fight
To defeat what I see as a blight

Fulfillment is my goal, and to share thy soul.

After she was done, she lit up her lotus flower, which slowly lifted into the air. If Kaito asked what she put, she would tell him as it was not a wish. Secondly, she spoke, "It is time to get ready to dance for me," she turned away and went towards the stage, going through the crowd. Soon enough, she went behind the scenes to take off some of her disguise and weapon. She kept on the outfit, and her hair was now red as they had her use magic to dye it. It was a symbol of passion.

The music started as she stood there with three other dancers that had other attire than hers. Step by step, she danced a sending of hope, luck, and love to all who watched as it was a way to cheer people.

he spots the small creature and he softly laughs to him self and as they approach they think of what they would wish for as Kaito's brain is still a bit hazy he really can't think of any poem to write. He accepts his Pen and so does Revy. Kaito's is a simple wish written in Val'Elvarin asking simply for his friends safety and their protection as they move forward. Revy writes a neatly written wish for Her and the other exceeds to be safe and happy and he gets his floating then he helps Revy get hers going as well.

He looks to her as she speaks of the dance and he guesses it is that time after all they had spent a good amount of time for today running around and saving the small creature that is not close to her as close as can be. Kaito picks Revy up and he gets into the crowd so they can watch and be respectful to the place they are. When the dance begins he can tell who she is even though she not has red hair and he keeps his gaze respectful and Revy watches and is excited to see the dancing she liked to dance here self but she would not wear such a thing and dance in it.

Kaito can feel that the others around him are sending a kind of positive energy toward the stage and it is forming its own light to set forth the passion at brightness the future shall bring as this dance gets it to build up within them/ He wonders how much of that passion is how the dancers are dressed and how much of it is them feeling the dance in their very souls ready for what may come to them.

She smiled happily as she danced proudly. It reminded her of her times in Joya before she became a target. She wanted to go back to that, perhaps even go back so she can see her mother. Who could do such a thing? The time mage she got a loan from. She chuckled as she knew that she would have to if she wanted to be young again. She felt insecure to the point where she wanted to be younger, she was almost forty and not even married. She will now make it into a mission as she smiled happily thinking about it.

She will get a new life, a new her and she will get a restart even if it's by her aging. The power of her will be great and she will have time to do it if Karisa agrees. After the dance was done, she bowed and left to the back. As she was back there, she found many bouquets of flowers and gifts, but she didn't want them from strangers. She only had two people on her mind, technically three if you could Akuko. Slowly, she got up and went to go meet Revy and Kaito after changing. She was wearing camo pants and boots with a zipped blue jacket. Her hair was white now and flowing down. "Thanks for waiting,~ We can probably go get something to eat and retire for the night," she went back to her usual deadpan expression.

As the woman walked up to them she almost caused a scene but Kaito get ahead of her yelling out Quilla’s name with a quick shhh noise, cause Quilla was clearly in a more let’s hide who I am mode and Revy probably hadn’t thought of it over her excitement for having just watched that dance and wanting to tell her how well she did and admire her for her hard work and joy she brought to the crowd.

Revy looked at Kai as he did the noise to her and she realized what she was about to do and she giggled and deicides it is better to tell her when they are somewhere with less of a crowd and less people were around to maybe over hear her if she said something she shouldn’t have said to Quilla like her name or about the dancing.

Kai smiles at her and he nods. "You are very welcome and it wasn’t much of a wait, that sounds good for the day you have had. I would have gotten you flowers put I think this is more fitting plus you won’t have to carry it around." He reached into a portal and pulled out a crown made of flowers he had made and he made it well. Revy takes it and jumps up on Kai’s head and tries to put it on her head. Revy giggles a little as she is still a little to short to reach her head to put it on for her.

She shook her hand to reject, "No, no, I -, " she was going to finish till she saw him pull out a flower crown out of a portal. She gazed up without tilting her head to look at the positioning of the flower crown. She nodded and looked towards the direction. "Oh! Thank you," she calmly spoke in a rather more surprised tone. "Shall we then?" she wondered. If he said yes, they'd spent the rest of the time going out to get food and enjoy their evening. After that they will go and maybe take pictures together as friends, buy some merchandise and be taken home.

Once she was at her hotel, she waved goodbye to Revy and Kaito, "Thank you for joining me," she gazed at the moogle who was still by her. "I suppose I will take care of you till we find your home," she gave a small smile and then went back to looking at the two. "Goodnight and take care you two," she waved once more and walked slowly into the hotel itself and disappeared for the night.

Revy and smiled "You are very welcome it looks good on you." Kai laughs softly and smiles at her then they go with her as they accepted he invited to spend the rest of the evening with her to have fun.

He and Revy spent the rest of the evening with her, Kai trying to keep on her good side just being himself and more relaxed and having fun and trying to get her to smile and it not just fade from her face as fast as it appeared. Atleast the night will end out on a very good note, he had fun eating, looking at trinkets, buying some trinkets and taking pictures with her and them and he had a great time with her and Revy.

He hopes everything will be already and that she will be in safety here but he figures she knows what she is doing so he really doesn't have to worry about it. "You are welcome I hope to see you again some day." He and Revy wave good night too her. They both return her final good bye they watch her disappear then Kai opens a portal and they jump into it disappearing from the spot they were in.
