Holding immense political influence within the workings of Talaz Lagaar, the otherwise mysterious Professor Braun managed to escape the plague-torn island with a small host of scientists by his side alongside a cargo barge full of prototype artificial bodies en route for a Science Fair across the continent. Hoping to further his own ambitions even while his people suffered, Prof. Braun has suspended his scientific ventures and redirected his team to convert as many willing volunteers to help speed up recovery times for Talaz Lagaar. Having learnt of the plight that had fallen before his people in the heartland of Joya, Braun began his work offering as many people as he could there before being determined to make his way through the rest of the other countries.

As no biological organism can survive the plague infested Talaz Lagaar for long, those who wish to help must in some leave their organic body behind. Though Machias have long since been known and created by talented artificers, Professor Braun has pioneered a method to transfer a willing subject's mind into a brand new machine body. Many people were selected simply due to posessing traits that caught the Professor's eye: Raw power, unique heritage, physical condition... Others had collaborated with the Professor before, while some simply managed to persuade him. In the end, the chosen few were given the blessing of transcending their prison of flesh and blood, if only for a short while.

Event Conditions


  • Users must roleplay their interaction with Professor Braun or his team, revealing their intent and how they persuaded him to convert them into a Machia: Upon doing so they will receive the Machine Heart (Temporary) for the remainder of the event.
  • Users must be eligible to be converted into a Machia, requiring them to be either a Human, Half-Elf, Elf or Dwarf as well as have an available modification slot.
  • After the conclusion of the event should the user change back from being a Machia, any prosthetics that they can not use with their character will be automatically refunded, the user may also refund any prosthetics that they would be capable of using with their character.
  • Users may optionally submit an image and face claim for their Machia body. This does not affect their face claim on the list.

Event Details


  • Users who are of the same nationality as the country in which Professor Braun is located will be converted first seeing native citizens as better choices than unknown individuals.
  • Only a finite amount of individuals per nation can be converted owing to the limited amount of artificial bodies created as a result, up to 3 members per nation can be converted before Professor Braun relocates himself to another location.
  • After Professor Braun has visited every location depending on the amount of Machia remaining, users may become eligible to be converted regardless of their nationality.
  • New characters created in 2023 may apply to have been converted into Machias at an earlier point in their history.

This event has officially concluded, all members that acquired the Machine Heart from Man into Machine receive a 50% discount for the racial modification and must purchase it to use the modification.
