Yuurei

Yuurei had a week to heal, and a week to train. The man he was going to go up against in the finals was no joke and he had to be at his best if he had any chance of winning. He did his best for something that was only for a week. He did progress, but he didn’t think it was enough to get the job done or even make it a one-sided victory. Still, there was nothing he could do but continue forward with it and see how things would turn out.

The day of Yuurei would make it to the Baska Rock before anybody could. He found himself sitting on the floor as he was meditating and preparing for the final fight. He thought about what he could do and all the scenarios that could occur. He was doing this for a few hours, while Renji was sleeping his butt off. Soon, the crowd would pour into the area and within the seats that they had been sitting in since it all started.

While he continued to sit, he would make sure to block all the noise that was surrounding him. The spectators did make sure to make as little noise as possible when they saw what he was doing. They would all settle down, and of course, it would come, the fighting and killing aura of the other fighter would show up and he was ready as ever to get the fight going. The only thing anybody was waiting for was for the announcer to start talking.

That wouldn’t take long as the man noticed that all the pieces were here so they could begin.

“Ladies and Gentlemen we here to enjoy what you’ve all been waiting for!” He shouted in the microphone.

Everyone would start cheering as they couldn’t help but see how this fight would turn out.

“This is the final match and it's between both of the strongest people that came to fight in this tournament today. Who will take the title of the strongest here today?!” He said this as he looked at both fighters with a smile on his face.

The announcer was ready, and he would start the callouts for both contestants. The person Yuurei was up against would go up first as he would look at the light mage who was sitting down the entire time. It wouldn’t be too long before his name was called. Yuurei opened his eyes as he would stand up and looked over at Renji.

“Renji, my gauntlet.” He said to his companion.

Renji would open one eye and noticed that it was time for the fight to start. He would yawn a bit as he would open the bag and the gauntlet would appear on Yuurei’s arm. He was ready now and he would walk up to the stage as the Exceed would wake up to see the final fight of this tournament. Both fighters would look at each other in the eyes as both were ready to fight. Still, their expressions were different, Yuurei’s with a smile as he was going to enjoy this and the other, with a serious look on his face as he was going to take this seriously.

Yuurei

The announcer would look at both contestants and would see that they were both ready and he would point to the guy as he would slam into the bell, and it would signal them to start the fight. Yuurei had poured mana into his gauntlet, and he would have the gauntlet glow as it would resonate and send energy into his body. His opponent would throw some of his clothes out of the arena as it seemed like he walked around in weight clothes and when once that was off, he ran straight towards Yuurei. The light mage would see this, but he wasn’t ready just yet. The guy had thrust a palm into the light mage’s chin.

Yuurei couldn’t dodge the attack as he would be sent flying into the air and grunting from the pain before the man in front of him kicked him in his abdomen and sent him flying to the ground. The light mage shook his head because he didn’t think this guy would do that to him. Still, it was a fight, and he should have done this before he got into the arena.

Yuurei

Yuurei would stay on the ground as his hands were open and two magic circles would appear. The stars would come out of the circles and soon enough they would enter his body. The announcer wondered if Yuurei was okay and was about to check up on him, but the berserker would get up on his feet. He wiped the blood from his mouth as he would crack his neck and looked at the man in front of him. The man would have a smirk on his face as he rushed straight towards Yuurei. He launched a series of punches towards him.

Each of them that were blocked, but the blows hurt, and he would launch his attacks whenever he saw an opening. It wouldn’t take long, but Yuurei would slip up as the man would connect a punch straight into his chest and would send him flying. He would hit the ground again as he would gasp for air as he was surprised that he was getting beat like this.

Yuurei

He slammed his fist into the ground as he would take a deep breath as he was getting up from the ground as he had to do something. When he was standing up, he would look at the man in front of him and would do his best to calm down. The man was running straight towards him again, and when he got close, Yuurei could see his punches coming straight for him. He moved slightly as he knew he was going to get hit, but also threw a punch as well.

They both would connect as Yuurei would make sure he put everything into that hit and then a second punch would come from the berserker. The man would stumble back from the blows as he felt the pain behind that attack. This was good and he was hoping it wouldn’t be a boring fight. The light mage felt the pain from the last blow as he was sure this guy was a monster.

They both would get back into their fighting positions and would rush straight towards each other. Yuurei dodged his first attack but was hit by the second attack from the guy. The light mage wouldn’t allow that to be the only thing as he would knee the man in his stomach as he had grabbed onto him. He would land a second knee attack before the guy pushed the light mage away. They were both doing their best, but the guy Yuurei was fighting against had an advantage over him.

He wasn’t going to allow this to go down like this, but he knew he had to wait for the right time. The crowd was going wild when they saw them fighting, and they could only expect that Yuurei was going to lose. Renji would only shake his head as he was hoping that things would start to tilt towards Yuurei’s favor. Both fighters would continuously jump towards each other and land punches before stepping back and looking at each other.

Yuurei

Yuurei coughed out blood from the blows that he had suffered, but the man in front of him looked like he wasn’t even bothered. It wasn’t true, but he had done his best to mentally fool his opponent. This wasn’t good in Yuurei’s eyes, and he was panicking about what was going to happen next. He didn’t run towards his opponent though and it was because he was saving his energy. His opponent would do the approaching and he wasn’t wrong. The man ran straight towards him, and he would start pushing Yuurei back as the two were exchanging blows, but the pressure was all on Yuurei.

While the two were moving throughout the stage, the cracks on the ground could be seen from the impacts they were leaving on the floor. The light mage just needed a few more and he would be able to pressure the guy and leave him done for the count. It wouldn’t take long, but both contestants would land a blow on each other which would send them both flying away from each other.

Yuurei

Yuurei was on the ground as he was panting heavily from the blows that he had to endure. Still, it would look like his opponent was also on the ground as well. The crowd was cheering and were wondering who would be the one to get up first. The announcer would start counting as he was wondering if this was going to end as a draw. While he was counting, Yuurei would sit on the floor he was laying down and he would wipe the blood off his mouth. His opponent would get up from the ground as he was standing but looked like he was fine.

The light mage was sure that hurt him, so he must have been hiding something. He would get up from the ground as he was looking at him and got into a position to fight. This was a fight they had come to see and were waiting for the conclusion of it all.

Yuurei

Yuurei would for the first-time rush straight to his opponent throughout this fight. He would go on the offensive and he would see the man was dodging the attacks, but barely. It was different from before, which was a good thing. He would lean in when he saw the guy going for the counterattack. He would grunt from the pain but would land a blow of his own as he rotated his body and landed a hit of his own on the guy’s neck. The light mage would find himself crouching from the pain, while his opponent stumbled to the side as he felt the blow on his neck.

It was then that they both would rush at each other again and they both would land on their punches before Yuurei fell to the floor and his opponent fell to one knee. The light mage was panting as he had finally got this man to be weakened. It meant that he could win, but he had to get up from the ground first.

Yuurei

Yuurei felt the pain throbbing all over his body, but the other thing he felt was the new power that he refused to use. It was not something he enjoyed and felt as if it wasn’t his own. His heart pounding as it seemed like it wanted to let loose. The light mage would hear the announcer counting, and his opponent would get up from his knee to get ready to settle this. The berserker didn’t think this would happen, but he figured if he was going to beat this guy, he had to use it. He would get up from the ground but in a weird way. His body hurt all over, but the will to keep going was what kept him conscious.

His opponent for the first time wouldn’t go for the attack but stare at Yuurei to see what was going to happen. The crowd was quiet now as Yuurei felt it coming. He was going through a change right now and if he used this power then he would win.

Yuurei

Yuurei’s eyes would turn golden as he looked at his opponent, but it didn’t stop there. He would soon sprout out two pairs of wings on his back as he would look at the man in front of him. Yuurei’s opponent was excited now, but Yuurei’s presence would weaken him quite a bit. He would land on his feet as he wasn’t going to be flying or anything like that. This power was something he would only use for a short time. It wouldn’t take long, but they would rush straight towards each other. The crowd, the announcer, and even Renji was in awe of the scene they saw.

Once they were close to each other Yuurei would dodge the blows that the man would launch at him. It was different from before since he had been blocking them the entire time. Yuurei would see the openings, and he would launch a combo of six attacks on the man.

The attacks would send the man flying to the ground, and Yuurei would twitch a bit before his wings would disappear, and his eyes would go back to normal. The power within him knew the fight was over, but Yuurei didn’t. He got into a fighting position as his opponent was on the ground laying down. The announcer would start counting and soon enough he would reach the countdown. The light mage hearing this would loosen up, his magic dispersing from everywhere as the crowd was cheering and screaming from the event they had seen.

The light mage would drop to his ass as he was exhausted from this fight. The announcer would announce Yuurei as the winner and he would hand him a trophy and a bunch of money that came with winning it all. Renji would run towards him, and he would give him a thumbs up for winning. The announcer would ask Yuurei if he needed help getting up, but Yuurei would shake his head.

The people continued their cheering as they were happy to see a winner. They wanted to talk to Yuurei, but that wasn’t going to happen. The light mage would get up from the floor as his legs were trembling. He was going to go inside the medical facility and get treated before leaving with his earnings. Renji would get on his shoulder, and he would walk off to get treated. The people continued cheering and chanting his name as he would enter an area away from everyone. He would go see a medic mage by the tournament and they would treat his wounds without a problem.

He would feel the soothing sensation on his body as he was relaxing.

“I won, but that man was too strong.” He said to Renji.

“If you feel that way, then we got to continue our training Yuurei. You need to get stronger or else you won’t be able to protect those around you or yourself.” He said to Yuurei as he was getting treated.

He was champion, but now it was time to move on to the next adventure that waited for him.
