Description: While to some the void is a new entity amongst us, it has existed since the sands of time, only coming into being shortly after those more recognized today, Illumin and the Abyss. As such its presence has been felt just as equally albeit forgotten by many due to its slow desire to consume what is. Royalty is not immune to the fate of the void being considered equal to the leeman. The tale of the power-hungry monarch, King Rufus the Third, Holder of the Grand Black Diamond and Lord of the Mountains, is perhaps the most well-known. he was a ruthless ruler who controlled his lands with an iron fist subjecting his people to harsh taxes and torment from his royal guard. His lust for power held no limits with them indulging the whims of an illusive shade whose powers originated from the void, causing countless lives to become the source of every spell that the shade cast leading up to the Great Blemish, a disastrous calamity that tore the realm apart as the void breached into this world for the first time.

Through the powers of persuasion offering eternal life and godlike powers, the king was lulled into striking a deal with the shade sacrificing everything within his realm, agreeing to said deal, a deathly ritual was cast around the vast countryside while his crown began to shift and warp to match the crystals found in the void. Death, destruction, and the introduction of the void into the real world left the country with a thick unmistakeable mist of blood, finally realizing the damage he had brought upon his lands with the slow and agonizing deaths of his daughters who had also fallen within the ritual, he plead with the shade who only laughed at his request saying they did not serve him but only the void. Recognizing his mistake he cut down the shade finding it brought no end to the ritual, he wrestled off his crown, finding while it was strengthening him, that his family was dying as a result. Growing weaker and older with each pull, hair whitening as his nails grew without pause, Rufus finally managed to rip the diamond from his head bringing an end to the ritual as the crown shattered to the ground, as he fell soon after.

Requirements:
  • The user must have acquired this through the Unknown Sacrifice Event and can not purchase this through Lupin.

Effects


  • Master of Time: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will become immune to the effects of time and sickness allowing them to live virtually forever as long as they stay safe from mortal failures.

  • Master of Gravity: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will become immune to the effects of Gravity allowing them to levitate at will up to 10 meters in the area, this effect can be stacked with flight-based spells for further height increases.

  • Master of Space: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will no longer need to sustain themselves through food, drink, or even oxygen allowing them to survive in environments that would be impossible for the normal individual.

  • Master of the Mind: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will become resistant to the Mind-based Effects such as intimidation and those found in the Nightmare Dragon Slayer series, reducing their effects by one rank if applicable.

  • Master of the Soul: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will be able to cast all of their spells regardless of type for one rank higher by casting them at double the base cost.

  • Master of the Spirit: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, During topics the user may convert their base physical stats into additional mana for a ratio of +10 Mana for every 1 SP converted, This can be performed at any point in a topic, however it can only be performed once.

    Mana Cost: 10% of Total Base Mana
    Requirements: Black Diamond of Anguish
    Type: Transformation
    Element: Arcane
    Range: Self
    Cooldown: 3 Posts
    Duration: Sustain
    Effect: The user taps their forehead activating the Black Diamond of Anguish in full, immediately the properties of the gem will cause the user to glow a powerful black aura while their powers are enhanced.
  • Elder of the Mind: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will become immune to the Mind-based Effects such as intimidation and those found in the Nightmare Dragon Slayer series.
  • Elder of the Soul: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, the user will be able to cast all of their spells regardless of type for one rank higher by casting them at the base cost.
  • Elder of the Spirit: Upon obtaining the Black Diamond of Anguish, During topics the user may convert their base physical stats into additional mana for a ratio of +20 Mana for every 1 SP converted, This can be performed at any point in a topic, however it can only be performed once.
