Nana was expected to meet up with a client of hers today. She had done requests for this man in the past and did her best to remain neutral to his flirty advances. She had no interest in romance other than her beloved Zalambur- the devilish deity that occupied the hole in her heart. Unlike the client, Herman Schwarz... Zalambur was a being without judgment or prejudice. Rather, he or she- depending on how the devil appeared before mortal beings, had wholly and gleefully accepted Nana's unique personage and mental illnesses.

Unlike the demons who wished to enslave daemons by giving them more power, Zalambur gave their power freely and only asked to be entertained in return. It was the perfect union for Nana- a woman who was devilishly enamored with entertaining herself by inflicting pain and misfortune onto others. Most people treated her with care if they dared to stay within proximity or line of sight of her. She could be extremely bipolar- often switching from an unnaturally boisterous cheer, to sudden and serious killing intent- for little or no reason at all. The woman had her picks though, like any being- she could be partial or show favoritism. Often finding it was easiest to get along with others whom didn't tumble at her immoral actions or question her as to why she would do random acts of kindness and violence in whatever order she wishes.

"Ahh.. Miss Nana. A pleasure to see you once again." said Herman as soon as he saw Nana from where he stood atop a balcony to a private resort he owned on the island. Since her last visit, it seemed that the dark haired man had acquired a bit more wealth and land. Nana wore her typical attire, which never seemed to match the atmosphere or dangers usually associated with her line of work.

She stood tall, taller than most men even. Long golden locks of silky shimmering hair flowed down her shoulders and to her waist. Purple luminous eyes looked half dead or even doll-like as she glanced up to the balcony that held the pompous narcissist that would be her client for the quest. Nana's skin was a delicate pale and buttery cream color with only slight tinges of red sunburn on her exposed shoulders. She rarely was out in the sun long enough to receive a tan to her delicate skin. The daemon woman wore a black extravagant dress which did a very poor job of hiding her obscene womanly figure.

Her body was shaped like an hourglass. Her bosom larger than the average man's head even. Her long legs exposed from the slit at the waist of the dress. Her undergarments couldn't be seen, but on the chance her dress was ever in tatters, her lingerie would be revealed to be solid black. For her feet, she wore no-heel loafers. She hated heels. Her arms and hands were fully exposed to the sunlight, only sporting fine jewelry such as the golden bands on her wrists. Of course this also accounted for the ivory band and blood red ruby opal ring on her wedding finger. A matching necklace hung loosely upon her exposed cleavage. If one were to look close enough- they could assuredly see blood writhing within the necklace and ring. These had been gifts to Nana from none other than her intimate partner Zalambur.

Nana seemingly carried no weapons with her, but this was not the case. She could summon her guns to her hand. "I see you're still as flashy as ever." she would say in mock amusement. The man Herman knew he was handsome and made every attempt to flaunt it. Much like Herman, Nana too knew her own charms. The difference between them was that Herman used his looks to attract mating partners. Nana used her body as a weapon to accomplish various tasks. "I hear you wish to cut down a tree and the locals aren't happy with your intentions. Are you expecting trouble?" Nana would ask, although since she had been called here- trouble was already a given. At least if nana had any say in it.

Herman fidgeted as he stood on the balcony for a moment, swishing the wine in a glass he held as he looked passed nana and thought how best to describe the situation. "First allow me to pour you a drink." he would offer and then move passed Nana to a table in the middle of the room on the second floor. Nana would turn to face him and silently agree as she stood by a chair at the table for several seconds. Herman missed the cue at first as he focused on pouring Nana a glass of wine and thought how to best describe his predicament. It wouldn't be until he would look at at Nana's figure and stare impolitely at her bosom and then her eyes- that he noticed he had messed up twice already.

First, he hadn't been a gentleman and pulled out the seat to sit Nana before pouring her wine. Second, he had allowed his greedy eyes to stare at her large chest without her consent. "Ah.. uh.. Allow me." he would stammer as he placed the bottle of wine on the table and stood aside by Nana as he pulled out the chair. She sat easily and allowed the man to scoot her chair closer to the table. He then pushed the glass of wine ever so carefully towards Nana and then sat in the chair across the table from her.

"First I would like to say that there will be an additional participant for this task. While I do not doubt your skills madam... this request of mine will prove challenging for several factors. Of course you are free to use your discretion on the quest. Just please do not cause me too much trouble with the locals." he would add at the last, though the last bit sounded more like a desperate plea rather than a not-so-humble request. Nana raised her eyebrow out of both suspicion and curiosity. She was not accustomed to working alongside others. "Speaking of which, he should be here any moment." said Herman as he looked at the watch on his left arm of his suit and began to pour a third glass of wine. Nana had already emptied her glass by the end of his long words and placed her glass next to the third so that Herman could refill it.

He was secretly reluctant to of course. he knew that Nana could probably drink any man beneath the table or worse... into debt. This particular brand of wine was rather expensive too! nana disliked this man and was had already convinced herself that she wouldn't leave her until she had fully emptied the bottle of wine. All the while he would do so, her little exceed companion would sit on her left shoulder and hold onto her golden locks as it snickered at the unfortunate man. he had dug his own hole when he requested Nana's assistance. This was simply a small price to pay.

Moments after taking a the third drink, the door opened to this location and people stopped talking or moving. If Nana turned around she would see something that looked like a something out of a nightmare standing in the doorway. Towering at nearly seven feet tall, it seemed to wear heavy plate armor that was colored blood red. This color went from the bottom of his armored boots that appeared to have an animals horn placed at the front of the toe all the way up to the helmet that was flat at the top, and looked very much like a skull. Across the armor was highlights of brass and gold colors. On the man's back appeared to be a cloak made of some kind of large beast, what it was before couldn't be told at this point in time due to how tattered and worn it was, but that wasn't the first thing that came to mind. Instead of a normal clip holding this cloak onto this monstrous being's back, it was spikes that appear to be tips of spears facing outwards and pierced onto those spears were human skulls. Though that might not be the first thing that Nana notices, as on the forehead of the armor was a mark she most likely would recognize instantly. The Mark of Zalambur.

Walking into the building behind was a beast that was as big and wide as a water buffalo while being far heavier. The horn on his head was a single one, forming a T shape on it, though on top of the flat of that T were large spikes, where it appeared skulls had been placed. It's appeared to be closer to a massive dog in shape and size, it's mouth appeared to be big enough to bite a man's head off with room to spare, its teeth looked like short swords. From a distance color of the fur of the beast looked a dirty brass only as it got closer would people realize that it was not the color of the fur, it was armor. Sheets of Brass covered armor covered every inch of this beast and it didn't seem to slow it down at all in any way. The chains that were used to 'control' this beast was attached to a massive spiked collar around its neck. As the beast laid down next to it's master, small gaps in the armor showed something possibly more terrible. This beast had no skin, it appeared to be made of machinery and parts mixed together with a living beast.  This is another thing that Nana might realize, this was a beast from Zalambur's realm, a beast known as a Juggernaut.

As the beast and it's rider walked into the room, the Juggernaut walked in and knocked over several tables before laid down in the corner, blowing smoke and fire out of it's nose as it seemly waited for it's master to finish it's business. The rider walked over to Nana and Herman before stopping for a moment and turning towards it's head towards Nana. Nana then most likely felt something wash over her, the smell of someone that has covered themselves in the blood of enemies and allies alike. While this wasn't a fear effect by any means, it was nearly there. The massive armored beast would then move closer to Nana before the sound of a deep breath could be heard being taken. So whatever was in this armor was in fact capable of breathing.

" You smell like familiar little one.... It appears that we meet by good chance or maybe fate. "
the voice that came out behind the armor was fully human, though it did seem to have an Icebergian accent though it was clearly heavily watered down at this point. It appears that Nana might have found another 'champion' of Zalambur. She could most likely feel his eyes looking at her up and down, though less in the way she was most likely use to but in a judging way.

Ragnar made no moves to shake his 'partners' hand nor anything else. It didn't seem relevant at this moment. While she was.. something, she wasn't a big enough deal for him to know about her but he had a feeling that would soon change. He also wondered if his Lord had put her in front of him now to push him away from someone else. He had to admit that she was attractive enough to, if he was a dishonorable and disloyal man, maybe he would take a shot at it but he was neither of those things. There were questions with this now, but he would have to see if she was strong enough to even consider an ally let alone anything behind that. Ragnar also didn't introduce himself to her, at this point most people in this country knew who Ragnar The Red was, either from the wanted posters or from his reputation alone. Though it did appear he was missing an axe this time around.

By the time the third participant showed himself, Nana had already drank four glasses and the bottle of expensive wine seemed to dwindle. Herman could feel the stark weight difference from when he had first opened the bottle. He truly wondered just how much this woman could drink. The effects of the alcohol hadn't even been whispered to Nana yet, she remained completely sober and was losing valuable entertainment while she awaited her mysterious companion.

She was just about to suggest that she would do the quest alone if the second helper wasn't going to show themselves, but then she had stopped short. just seconds before heavy thumping footsteps could be heard outside, Whether it had been Ragnar's footsteps or that of his mount's, one couldn't say for certain. All that was certain was the silence that followed as the man entered the room. All eyes were on him, even Nana's. She looked at him for several reasons, namely because of his stature and intimidating armor.

The subtle hints of allegiance did not escape her, a small wry grin stretched across her lips and devolved into something that the client Herman wished he hadn't seen- Nana's true and unadulterated psychotic smile. The way she smiled, could easily have been mistaken for a demon itself. Nana was genuinely happy, elated even to find another whom knew of her most beloved. She rarely spoke to anyone about Zalambur, for the being was of vast significance and it was pointless to discuss such a deity to those with no strength or will to serve the devil. Herman turned his eyes away as Ragnar strode in and didn't acknowledge anyone until he directly addressed Nana once he was standing close to her.

Her first instinct was to fight the man. Not out of fear or intimidation, but out of curiosity and entertainment. He was a bit more well known that her, even she knew his name. It was hard to mistake someone so unique. Before responding to him, she quickly finished off the wine in her glass and stood. As she stood, she reached over and took the bottle of expensive wine from Herman and began to walk towards the exit. "You seem to know a thing or two about my beloved. If you have no business with the client, let's finish his task so that we may talk in private." she would call out to Ragnar as she exited the building.

She would wait a moderate amount of time if Ragnar needed to talk with Herman about the quest first. Once Ragnar was ready to get, Nana would eye him again- her eyes resting on Zalambur's mark. Finally, she would raise her ring hand to Ragnar and allow him to inspect the fine jewelry. "A gift from your lord. It is true that I am weaker than some of the strongest mages yet, my beloved has seen fit to bestow their gifts unto me." she would explain and then retract her hand. If Ragnar had more words, Nana would discuss them with him before starting their task.

Down the hill from Herman's building was a line of where a thick forest began. It would be a narrow windy path into the forest, one that would rub against the massive man Ragnar and break branches if he chose to go that route. Nana would take this route, but not from the ground. She was agile and deft at hand and foot. She wanted to see if Ragnar's heavy armor impeded his movements. Call it a test, or maybe seeking weaknesses, Nana was curious either way.

After a short time, the two of them would chance upon one of the large ancient trees. Thick white cords were banded around it. Many spiritual charms hung from the chords and the whole scenery was barren except for the tree. Even the ground was devoid of grass. there was something special about this tree, yet Nana couldn't put her finger on it just yet. "Our task it to cut down this tree for the client, Herman Shwartz." she left off the part about possible dangers of course. She wanted to see how her mysterious knight of Zalambur would fair against surprises. She would allow Ragnar to make the first move on the tree- mostly so she could see if the tree was boobytrapped.

Ragnar felt something come off of her for a moment, like an aura of blood lust for a moment before it vanished as quickly as it appeared and then he heard something slightly more concerning. Her Beloved. Did she feel that she was married to Zalambur? She was clearly another follower of his Lord, based solely on her smell and the fact that she seemed to be very aware of what the symbols on his armor represented, which showed she knew something about it but either way. Ragnar had nothing to say to the client, as he already had all the information he would need from this job. He may be new to this area of the world but luckily the jobs that needed this kind of work seemed to find him more than anything else. Either way, with a nod he walked towards the door and followed her out.

Once they left the location Ragnar said a word, something under his breath but something that Nana might know as Daemonic word, and the Juggernaut huffed and then turned and started to run down the hill in the opposite way. Once it was out of site, the sound of a thunder crack could be heard, and the presence of the beast was no more. Ragnar moved in this armor as easily as he moved in his own skin, he didn't appear to be slowed down by it at all even as they went though the forest. Though unlike Nana's method, which left less of a path of destruction, when something didn't get out of Ragnar's way he simply pushed it over. Even without his mythic hammer on his hip, he was still able to punch with the force of the most powerful spells, so even large trees weren't really a match for him just walking normally.

Nana may not be able to tell but Ragnar was watching her, and trying to put together what her deal was. Was she crazy or did she really manage to meet Zalambur and have a relationship with him. Though to be fair, Zalambur has been known to be whatever form that they need to be, he appeared to Ragnar as a broad and muscular humanoid who stands hundreds of feet tall. Zalambur has the face of a savage, snarling dog, though the god's twisted features are all but hidden by a baroque helm decorated with the skulls of conqueror kings. His exaggerated physique is further distorted by heavy, overlapping plates of armor fashioned from brass and blackened iron.

Maybe he appeared to her as something much different, but none of that really mattered. Eventually they managed to reach the site that was requested. There was simply a big tree here, covered in various charms and what not. Ragnar listened to what Nana had said, and he knew instantly that no one would hire him for these services without there being a reason. If they wanted to cut down a tree, they could call a normal fire mage and have it done with. There must be something special about this tree.

Ragnar looked back at Nana, realizing that he was going to have to be the first one to make the move, and he couldn't help be disappointed. Maybe not all followers of his Lord were like him, maybe some of them were cowards or maybe this was more of a test for him to prove he wasn't some asshole who stole Ragnar's armor and pretended to be him. Either way, Ragnar started to move forward, and he reached the tree and placed his armored hand on it. The tree didn't seem all that special, and then Ragnar reached back and slammed his fist into the side of the tree. It sounded like he hit an invisible barrier at first, the sound of a dull gong going off. Well it looks like this tree was protected by some magic or something, well either way. Ragnar then reach his hand back again and threw another punch, this time whatever magic that was holding this tree together finally gave way as Ragnar's fist hit the wood.

With a third punch Ragnar's punch blew a hole in the side of a tree that was large enough to have it start to fall to one side and eventually fall over. This took Ragnar three punches what it most likely would have taken teams of men to do over days or weeks. With a shrug, Ragnar turned around and began walking back towards Nana, unaware of the danger that might be approaching him as something began to rise out of the stump of the tree Ragnar had just knocked over.

Ragnar had played right into Nana's plan, although she suspected he was the type of person to not care for machinations. Nana loved her little games and her smile only grew more wide as Ragnar started to punch the tree. Apparently there was no need for a weapon to fell such a great tree. She watched passively, standing some distance behind Ragnar. She knew her turn would be soon once the third strike blasted a hole into the tree and it slowly began to fall.

Nana had expected maybe the natives would descend upon the two of them, but that was not the case. She had been vigilant and observant- so she was the first to notice the distortion in the lighting of the forest even before the elemental began to manifest. Ragnar with his confidence strode towards her. His footsteps were heavier, perhaps he was unsatisfied about something.

Nana raised her hands into the air and the magic flurried about her hands as her guns appeared in her hands. She pointed them in Ragnar's direction- whether he understood her intent or not, she would get ready to pull the triggers.  "And shepherds we shall be. For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. And Teeming with souls shall it ever be." she would say, inciting an incantation.

With her incantation finished, two magic circles appeared from the tips of her two guns. A sudden burst of beams erupted from the barrels of her weapons- one black and one white in colors. The two beams would travel over Ragnar's shoulders on both sides of his head if he hadn't decided to dodge the seeming and sudden bizarre attack. The two magic attacks would pass by the goliath man harmlessly and travel the distance where the tree had fallen. If Ragnar looked backwards, he would see the two beams would hit a large wooden elemental square in the chest and stagger it backwards.

The wooden elemental would roar out in pain just as it had materialized, being struck squarely by two S Rank magic beams. The roar of agony would be immediately followed by a loud uncontrolled laughter as Nana would burst into hysteria. "Things are getting interesting now!" she would exclaim, the joy evident on her face to Ragnar. Nana would then dash around Ragnar towards her mark. If he chose to assist her, she wouldn't mind- but she didn't mind showing Ragnar that she could handle this entity herself.

As Ragnar walked closer toward Nana, he noticed something, she had drawn pistols, from somewhere. Where she pulled those from Ragnar wasn't fully sure but he wasn't always the best at paying attention to stuff. She then began to say a very very long chant, as if she was casting a spell. Ragnar couldn't help but think that if she was going to attack him, she wouldn't be stupid enough to do one with a casting time that was an entire speech. But just in case he decided that he would lunge to the left, moving at a speed that once again showed that he didn't really care about the armor that would have weighed down a normal person.

After the speech was over, he saw the spells fired and went past his location and hit something. Turning to look at the side, he would see the spirit and it would all make sense then. This is why they had to hire someone like him, because they most likely cut down one of these stupid trees before and got everyone killed. Well either way, Ragnar didn't really care too much as he watched Nana start to run towards the spirit of the tree.

Ragnar made no move to help and simply stood there to watch. She let him walk into a possible trap, lets see if she can handle herself. If she couldn't then he would step in but he doubted he would need to.

It seemed that Ragnar truly had no intention of aiding Nana. Maybe he had wanted to test her. he seemed to have some connection to Zalambur, but Nana didn't feel that this man and Nana experienced or saw the devil in the same way. Perhaps he questioned her and wanted to see if she was worth Zalambur's attention. Or maybe Nana had was overthinking it and the man was simply cross with being used as bait and then nearly target practice. The reason mattered little to nana, although she was the worth of having a man such as this as an ally- hell. A rival.

If he wished to watch, then Nana would give him a show worth watching. As she dashed around Ragnar in hysterical laughter, the first thing the Red would likely notice was Nana's golden hair changing into a rich luminous purple. Two black obscura magic wings wound erupt her her back and spread two meters in length. A circular floating purple and black aura would appear behind her back, nestled around the base' of her wings and remained there. her right arm would be overtaken by a familiar corruption to Ragnar and to the man's sense of death- an overwhelming miasma of killing intent and violence would waft towards Ragnar. It was the calling card of Zalambur, Nana's beloved. Additionally, two horns would sprout from her head- the crown to her wedding devilish wedding dress as her black and purple obscura energy overtook her dress and covered the torso of her body.

As the elemental had taken the first two hits, it had writhed in surprise and pain, followed by a roar of rage. A rage stemming from the destruction of the sacred tree, but also from the pain the being had not expected! Nana simply wouldn't allow the wooden elemental to have all the glory, nor would she allow it to start casting. She raised her two guns again. two magic circles appeared, one from each barrel and she fired again- this time with no incantation. Two more beams would erupt from the barrels and fire at the elemental. Thinking itself fast and clever, the elemental moved one of its massive roots that were feet and stepped to the side of the beams' projected path.

Its surprise would be complete as the beams of nana's attacks veered to the side, homing in on the elemental's trunk. Even as nana had fired the beams, she had dashed- not once, but twice. She covered the distance in the blink of the eye, belittling the speed difference she had seen Ragnar use just a split second or two ago.

Where she ahd been when she fired the guns and where she was currently were two different places. The wooden elemental hadn't even noticed as it's surprise from the magical attack had left it scrambling to try to evade in vain from its own hubris. It had been struck by both attacks, for it simply couldn't dodge. Realizing it at the last second, the elemental had braced itself and looked to where Nana had been to unleash a counter-attack even as it was recieving the damage(2 S Ranks). Nana was now behind the elemental however. It looked forward but the purple haired daemon was not before it, only the large metallic figure of an imposing but passive man. That was when the elemental would notice a red sheen emanating from behind its own hide... or bark. Nana stood behind the elemental with how finger outstretched and pointed at the wooden spirit.

A single crimson teardrop of twisted malice-infested magic condensed at the tip of Nana's finger, She willed it to attack and the drop of magic blood screamed loudly with a shrill but powerful cry as the red tear of magic erupted into the beam of a magical attack(S Rank). The beam itself would travel many meters, incinerating the already weakened wooden elemental and wreaking havoc on the local fauna. The scream had been an echo of Zalambur's power, which quickly dissipated once the attack ended. Nana would walk through the dust and debris of the attack back towards Ragnar. She had angled her ambush at an angle to Ragnar- just barely enough so that her beam attack would miss him barely by a few meters. Leaving only a swath of scorched ground to Ragnar's right side if he hadn't moved further away.

Her guns would disappear with a magic flurry of color and her daemon/devil transformation would slowly regress back into her base form. Her dress was in tatters from the combat and she held one shoulder of the dress up with her hand to keep her bosom from being exposed. "We should hunt a bigger monster next time!" she would say with such energy that she had gone completely passed the 'Thanks for the help but let's not meet again'... No, she actually insisted of working with this red man more. Granted she wished to see his face. His armor was surely intimidating and imposing, but it bored Nana to look at the metal and not see her ally's expressions when she purposefully did things to make it seem like she was attacking him. She was playful but also merciless. Not getting any reaction from it was like receiving the cold shoulder.

She would converse with Raganr more if he had things to say, but it was time to return to their client and report their deed accomplished. They would leave it up to Herman and his men to retrieve the fallen tree and find a means for themselves to cut through its amazingly dense bark. She would bid Ragnar a farewell and maybe even give his mount a pat on the head if the beast didn't seem opposed to her presence.

Ragnar simply sat back and watched this fight and several interesting things appeared to happen. One she was a Daemon, much like Akuko, and she was without a doubt a follower of his Lord. Another interesting thing about he was the fact that she appeared to be able to dash multiple times, without stopping. This was an insane combat advantage to anyone interested in that kind of thing, which Ragnar was. Well maybe she did have something in terms of her powers and ability, but maybe not. Maybe she simply had access to powerful arms and armor, clearly her guns were in a class of their own all things considered but she still wasn't all that special.

Ragnar also didn't move in anyway as the beam came towards him. The beam most likely wasn't powerful enough to break his armor, and honestly even if it was, it most likely wouldn't kill him. He wasn't surprised to see it go just past him, but he was slightly disappointing. He was kinda hoping she would try something stupid and he could put her in her place, but that clearly wasn't in the cards for right now. Ragnar listened to what the girl had to say, now turning back into her 'human' self and with a simple nod he would show his agreement before turning and heading towards the client.

Once Ragnar got his pay and got onto his mount he looked towards Nana and said simply " You and I will meet again. Hopefully our Lord blesses you so that I can see you outside of his halls." and with that he rode off to go handle the business he had involving some very angry fish.
