Yuurei

Yuurei was waiting for the next round of the mission to start. There were only eight fighters left, but it only meant that he was going to be able to fight three more people if he made it that far. The hits he took last much were hard, and he didn’t think he would be fighting someone that strong in the next round. Renji had gone on his lap for the time being as he was relaxing and waiting for the next matches to start. The crowd was on the same boat, and it would seem like the announcer was getting ready to announce the next two fighters.

The man would gather himself before calling the next two contestants. It was down to the best of four now in each bracket, and whoever lost from here would be known as a fighter to be feared. The two fighters that were called would soon find their way to the arena, and when everything was settled, they would begin their fight.

Yuurei

Yuurei watched the entire fight that was happening, and both fighters were strong and good. They were amazing in how they fought, which could be backed up by the crowd’s reaction when they were going at it. Still, only one of them would win, and one of them did show that he had an edge in the fight. It wouldn’t take long, but the first match of the semi-finals had been over with one victor. The other fighter was down on the floor and the crowd was cheering as it was over.

The light mage would look over to see them take out the loser from the arena, and after minutes of checking the arena, the announcer would come back onto it. He would talk a bit to everyone about the last match asked if everybody was excited for the next match to start. The cheering was more than enough to show that they couldn’t wait for the next pair of fighters to kick it off.

The announcer would start the next match and the two fighters would show up. When everything was done, they would start the fight. It wouldn’t take long to see who the winner would be and honestly the guy was so strong, that Yuurei can tell the other guy had no chance. It was an interesting fight though as the other guy was trying his best not to give up, in the end, he lost. The second match was over and with that, the third match would start. They would fight each other, and it would seem like things would go well until one of the two fighters started going all out.

Yuurei would see how the scale was tipped, and the beating had begun. It wouldn’t take long for the winner to be spotted and with that, the matches that had been waiting to be dealt with would come to an end. Now there was just one more match of the round, which belonged to Yuurei and his next opponent.

Yuurei would get up from his seat when the announcer got back to the arena and spoke a bit before calling his name out and his opponent. The light mage would make his way to the stage right after he put Renji on the chair he was on. He would get to the center of the arena as he waited for his opponent to show up. They would both look at each other as they stared into each other’s eyes. Yuurei would bow slightly, and he would jump back a bit.

He needed time to prepare as he didn’t want to get caught off guard like in his last fight. The announcer watched as they both ready themselves before he started the fight. Yuurei was quick to activate his magic circles as they both appeared above his hands and the stars were quick to form and enter him all at the same time. Once he felt the energy, he would see the guy was right in front of him.

Yuurei would be quick to block the incoming attack, and when he had done, he would counterattack with a punch of his own. He would see the guy dodge the attack and then a kick would come from the side. The light mage saw this and he would smack his leg down as he would rise up his leg to kick the man as well. They were both moving around the ring as they were trying to get a hit on each other, but nothing was happening. The crowd did their best to follow their movements, but it wasn’t working. Still, they could see their movements and it was understandable that they knew these two were doing their best.

It was taking a while for something to happen, but both contestants would punch each other straight in the chest before being pushed back from each other. They would look at each other for a second and then they would run straight to each other again.

Yuurei

They were at each other’s throats, but Yuurei got a feel on how hard this guy could hit. His speed was the amazing thing of it all, and he wanted to use his gauntlet but figured it was best that he would use it on the next match. While they were fighting, he figured he would go blow for blow, but then knew it would be a bad idea. The other guy that fought was no joke either, so he needed to make sure that he went all out on that guy. Yuurei would finally find himself grabbing the guy’s arm, and then the other arm as he would pull the guy close to him and he would hit him with his shoulder and knee. He would stumble back grabbing onto his chest and his abdomen as he was in pain.

The light mage would relax as he got into a fighting position as this was entertaining, to say the least. The berserker would look at the man in front of him and he would rush to him once more. The man would block and dodge the incoming attacks, but the pain he felt on his body was stopping him from moving as he did before.

Yuurei

Yuurei could see what was happening and knew the longer the fight continued, and the damage was done then it would become easier for him. The light mage continued landing a blow every now and then as he continued to block the guy’s attack while they continued moving through the arena. He would see the man’s punch and Yuurei would grab the arm spinning around him and swinging his arm around and hitting him on the right side of his waist. He would see the man clench his teeth in pain, which brought Yuurei to sweep the man off his feet and onto the floor.

The guy had gotten back up from the ground as he was panting from exhaustion against Yuurei. They both looked at each other, and then it was time to continue forward. They both continue attacking, but the crowd could see it now. The person Yuurei was fighting continued to get hit with an attack every time he tried to do something against the light mage.

Yuurei could see that the man was basically done, so he decided to deliver the final blow as he moved straight into him and he would parry his punch and he would hit him with a left jab, which turned into an elbow strike combo. The man would get hit twice and he would fall on his back as he felt defeat. The announcer would count it and when it was done Yuurei had moved onto the finals of his bracket. The crowd cheered as they were excited about the match that just happened.

He would get out of the arena, and they would take the person who just lost away. The announcer told everyone they would give everybody a two-hour break before they would continue the last two matches. When everybody heard this, they would get up and get refreshed for the two matches that were remaining for the day. The light mage would relax and find himself meditating to recover from the hits he blocked and the hit he took from the guy the last match.

Yuurei

He would have himself doing this for the entire two hours as Renji would take a catnap. While doing this people would have gathered back to their seats and the announcer would get into the arena and start making noise. Yuurei would open his eyes as it would seem like the first match was going to start soon and he wanted to see it. Renji would hear all the noise and he would look over to see the fight commence. When the fight started it wouldn’t take too long, but it would come to an end. The two guys started fighting, and one of them was obliterated by the other. His eyes widen when he saw how quickly that battle went, which meant this guy was no joke. Still, it meant that he was going to have to go all out right now to conserve energy.

He would get up from his seat as he would make his way to the arena, he would look over to the person that would come after his name was announced. Now they were both ready to fight, and Yuurei had used his magic beforehand, so he didn’t get caught off guard.

Yuurei

They both rushed straight at each other, and Yuurei would start the fight by blocking the guy’s incoming attacks. He would look at his way of fighting and he was strong indeed. He could feel it behind the blows he was landing on his arms. While this was happening, Yuurei would pour mana into his gauntlet, and it would glow as it would pour energy back into the light mage. He would feel the surge of energy coursing through him, and he would go from blocking the man’s attack to parrying his attacks.

The buff he got from his gauntlets were enough to push him over this guy and then some. The fight looked nice, but Yuurei would land a quick jab straight into the guy’s face because it was the only thing, he kept unguarded. He wasn’t going to miss that opportunity and he would continue to land blows on the guy’s face and every other place he had an opening. They were both strong, but Yuurei’s newfound speed allowed him to get in hits before the guy could react.

Yuurei

The light mage knew what he was doing and wasting his mana like this was the best way to finish the fight as fast as he could. He noticed though that the guy could take a beating and even though they were evenly matched at the start of the fight, things had changed. The moment that buff went on him it was all over. He had started hitting the guy more than two times every time they were going at each other. The crowd was watching this and were in awe. It wasn’t because of the number of times Yuurei hit him, but because the guy wasn’t going down from any of the hits. The light mage was surprised about this too, but he had to end it soon. He would start focusing on the man’s vitals now as he would hit him everywhere he could except his heart.

While the battle continued the man’s arms would drop to the side as he stood standing there. The light mage would swing another punch but would stop right in front of the guy’s face.

Yuurei

He would stop right in front of the guy’s face because he saw that the guy was no longer able to fight. The light mage would look over to the announcer as he would nod as the man would check Yuurei’s fighter and he would notice that he was unconscious. He would announce to everybody that Yuurei was the winner. The light mage would carry his opponent out of the arena because of how strong his will to continue was. While he was doing this the announcer would announce something grand to everybody.

They had two winners, but they wanted to see who the best was between the two of them. He would announce that the final match between the two of them would happen within a week’s time. It would give them time to recover and possibly get stronger if they thought it was necessary. When Yuurei heard this he figured that he would go through some intensive training for the week so he could be prepared to fight the guy who slaughtered his opponent in the final in his bracket.
