Yuurei

Yuurei’s next assignment from Weirdlock was kind of hard, yet simple in what he needed to do. It seemed like the investigator was determined to prove that the murderer of all those crimes came from the boss of Black Dragon. Yuurei didn’t think so and it was because he didn’t think a boss of a gang would need to get his hands dirty like that. There was something weird going on, and he couldn’t put his finger on it. Still, he was given a drug that would put the boss to sleep, which would allow Weirdlock to slip into his room and check the back of his arm for confirmation. A risky plan, but he was fine with doing this.

The light mage was inside of the Gambling den with the other Black Dragons. There everybody was having an amazing time drinking and laughing with each other. Yuurei had a few girls on him as they would touch his hair and do their best to flirt with him. Of course, he played along, but only so far that he wouldn’t allow them to kiss him or anything.

Yuurei

Yuurei would be with Yomu who was getting drunk, and he would just laugh at everything anything that was going on.

“Damn Yuurei you’re new and you have all the women just drooling on you. Those looks of yours are surely a blessing.” He would hiccup a bit before continuing.

“Then your strength just shows that if you keep doing what needs to be done you can join the top brass soon.” He said to him with a smile as he raised his glass and drank some more.

Yuurei would do the same as he would take down another shot of whiskey. The light mage would look around as he waited to see when they were going to prepare the boss’s tea. Still, while waiting he continued to talk with the other members and enjoy his time. The light mage wished he was home, and hanging out with Brone and Kailani, but at the same time, it allowed him to drown the pain he was feeling anyways.

Yuurei

After a while of hanging out with everybody, Yuurei would see that they were finishing up with prepping the boss’s tea. The light mage would get up from his seat and walked over to the person. He would stop them right there and he would have a smile on his face.

“Do you mind if I take the tea to the boss. I wanted to talk to him about my future in the Black Dragons.” He said to them.

They would look at Yuurei and saw that he was harmless, and he doubted that this guy would do anything to harm the boss and get himself killed by everyone here. He would hand over the tea to Yuurei, and the light mage would start walking towards the boss’s chamber. While he was doing that, the light mage would slip in the drug that Weirdlock had given him. He had made sure that nobody was looking when he had poured it in the tea. He kept moving through the den, and when he got close someone would be there to stop him.

Yuurei

Yuurei would smile to see that a drunk Yomu stood in front of him. The light mage was annoyed that this guy had caught him, and it seemed like things might go down. He wasn’t sure though as the big guy was hiccupping and smiling at Yuurei.

“So you trying to get into the boss’s good graces I see. I can’t let you do that though Yuurei. You have to start at the bottom like the rest of us. I will give him the tea instead of you, so nice try.” He said as he took it from Yuurei.

The light mage would laugh when he heard that because his plan could still work.

“Man I was close too. I guess I’ll do it the old fashion way.” He said as he walked over to the other guys.

Yomu would enter the boss’s chamber and Yuurei would go back to having fun with the people there. The light mage would order another glass of whiskey on ice while he took a seat down on the couch.

Yuurei

Everybody was enjoying themselves and the girls were getting a bit touchier with Yuurei, but he allowed it as he was teasing them. While this was happening, Yomu would rush towards everybody as he was screaming out loud. When he got closer, everybody would understand his words clearly. This would shock the whole entire Gambling Den, and Weirdlock Jones would be able to slip into inspecting the body. Yuurei’s eyes widen when he heard this he almost choked on his drink. That can’t be and if it were true then was it the drug in the tea? He couldn’t believe it, but he felt like Weirdlock had set him up, and that wasn’t good.

“He was gargling to death after he took a sip of his tea. Before I had the tea, Yuurei had it, and I don’t think his personal servant would do this to him.” He said out loud as he looked at Yuurei.

The light mage would look at everyone as the girls would get off him, and the guys around the gambling den would close the doors, so Yuurei couldn’t escape. The half-elf would sigh as he would get up from his seat as he looked at everyone.

“I swear I didn’t do anything of the sort. Yomu is lying.” He pleaded, but it seemed like it wasn’t going to work.

Yuurei sighed when he saw everybody take their weapons out and started attacking him. The light mage would dodge their attacks as he was getting ready to use his magic. Both hands open as two magic circles would appear along with more than thirty stars altogether. The goons would stop when they saw this but would continue to push forward when they saw the stars going into him instead of them. He started moving quicker than before as he would just have a smile on his face as it was time to commence operation ass whooping. The first goon in front of him would get a punch straight into the nose, which would put him out of commission. The second goon would follow as Yuurei would kick him in the shin before using the same leg to kick him in the face when he bent down. It seemed like they kept coming, and they would never end.

Yuurei

Yuurei would feel someone grab him from behind, which would bring the mage to pick him up by bending forward and flipping him over. After that, he would stomp him out once before continuing the fight. He would move around the entire Den as he was jumping over tables and found himself right in front of three goons. He would punch one of the three in the chest, moving onto the second as he would use his other hand to punch him out cold as well. The third one saw this and Yuurei would swing his body around landing a roundhouse kick on the man. Yomu saw this and he could only smile because this guy was stronger than all these guys.

The light mage would see the four remaining goons come at him at once. He would stretch his arms out to hit one of the goons in his abdomen while stretching one of his legs out to hit another goon in the chest. They would both fall, and the last two would hit Yuurei right on the head with their weapons. It would cause him to stumble a bit as he shook his head as he looked at the two. Anger on his face because had allowed himself to be hit by them.

“I know Renji it’s uncool to get hit by these guys. Yell at me later for it I need the talking.” He said to the Exceed.

Renji wasn’t going to say anything, but he was glad that he was taking his advice. He was just happy that Yuurei was okay even though he could see that he was bleeding from the side of his head. The light mage would run straight to the last two goons as he would lariat both goons at the same time as he would come to a stop to look at the only person remaining who could fight him. Yomu would clap as he would step towards Yuurei as he cracked his neck.

“I must admit you could have made it far with us. Too bad your life ends today.” He said as he started running towards Yuurei.

The light mage saw that he was slow on his feet, and he figured he would close the distance between the two of them. The half-elf would be the first to throw a punch, and he would land a right hook into Yomu’s stomach. He would take the hit as he felt the force that came from this guy, and he was surprised by it. Still, he would grab Yuurei’s arm before he would swing a hit on Yuurei’s face.

He would feel the blow from this as his eyes widen from how hard this guy could hit, but if they were having a close combat fight, then this would be the last hit. He would look at Yomu and he would swing his body around, so his left leg could get momentum before he would land a roundhouse high kick onto the side of the man’s face. Yomu thought he would have Yuurei panicking from grabbing his arm, but that wasn’t the case. The big guy would let go of the light mage’s hand and he would fall on his back and onto the ground.

Yuurei saw that everyone was on the ground he would run to the door and bust it open as he ran out of the gambling den. The half-elf would rush at full speed towards Weirdlock’s office. He would be angry and frustrated because he felt betrayed, and he needed the investigator to explain what happen. Weirdlock would see him enter bloody and staggered as he would rush to sit him down.

“Are you okay? When I was slipping into the office I saw, Yomu killing him and so I ran before I could do any investigation. I’m sorry I couldn’t warn you.” He said to Yuurei.

Yuurei

Yuurei would sigh with relief that he wasn’t betrayed, but he still felt as if something was off. He would lean on the chair as he looked at Weirdlock and shook his head.

“Damn it would have been great if you got to inspect the boss. I did take out Yomu and all his goons. They didn’t know who they were dealing with, but they did put up a good fight and it’s why I’m all bloody. At this moment I think it’s best I get paid and recover before we do anything else.” He said to Weirdlock.

The investigator would nod as he was fine with Yuurei taking his time off before returning to help him with the case. He did hope that it wouldn’t take too long and to be honest it wouldn’t. Yuurei would take his reward and he would leave the place with Renji on his side. These jobs were getting crazier, but he wanted to see this through to the end.
