Yuurei


Yuurei and Renji were on their way to Orchidia City. The reason behind it was simple. Apparently, there were talks about a dragon wreaking havoc on the city. He wasn’t sure if it were true, but he was surprised that Sleep Calamity wasn’t investigating the situation. Still, it had to do with the North, so he figured he would go check it out. Renji was on Yuurei’s shoulder as he was running toward the city at full throttle. The Nephilim was probably one of the fastest mages within Fiore. His movements were swift as he got close to the city.

When he got there, his eyes widen when he saw what was happening. The city was burning through certain areas, and people were shouting and screaming, asking for someone to save them. He was not happy about what was going on, and he would look around to see if he could find the dragon that was causing all of this to happen.

While he was looking to see where the dragon was, he would hear a roar coming from behind him. The berserker would look over to the monster that made that noise, and it would fly over him. He would watch it as the dragon would cause more destruction within the city. The Nephilim would shake his head as he couldn’t believe that this was happening. He had to do something about it.

He would look over to Renji and his companion knew what to do. Renji would open his bag and Yuurei would have his gauntlets on him, along with his chest piece and his helmet. His cape was already around him and he was never going to put the cape back in the bag again. Now that he was ready, the light mage would start running through the streets of Orchidia and when got to full speed he would use his cape to fly up into the air.

It was excited to be used by Yuurei for the first time in this way, but he had to get the dragon’s attention right now. The dragon was shooting beams out of its mouth, and it would explode when it impacted something. Yuurei had rushed straight toward the dragon and when he was a meter away, he would swing his arm straight at the creature. It would feel the blow as it would move to the side a bit as it looked over to see what had hit him. It felt that, but when it saw that it was a human it would roar as if it was disgusted that Yuurei had done harm to it.

The Nephilim would have a smile on his face as he could see that the dragon wasn’t happy.

“You piece of shit! Stop destroying this city! I will be your opponent and I will show you what true power is!” He said to the dragon.

The dragon would roar when it heard Yuurei's speech. This brought the light mage to know that it understood what it said. The people in Orchidia City would see the dragon looking at someone. They tried their best to see who it was, and eventually, they would notice that it was Yuurei. The city started cheering that he had arrived, which meant they were saved. Still, they knew better and started moving out of the city.

They knew that Yuurei would prosper, but they didn’t know if the city would be intact, so they had to move. The dragon would shoot a beam straight at Yuurei; the berserker would move out of the way as it would hit a building and explode. He would shake his head when he saw this and figured he would make this dragon pay for that. Yuurei would take out his tools and he would put mana into the tools at this point. It would summon Galatea falling from the air.

Yuurei would look at his cape and he would shake his head as he needed to make sure the cape understood to go to her if she was falling.

“If she’s falling you go to her. You know I have wings.” He said to the cape, and it would make a cape noise before flying toward Galatea.

She would see that she was flying now, and Yuurei was the one falling, but he would stop that by sprouting his wings from his back and he would look at the dragon. The dragon was surprised about what this man could do. It could tell he wasn’t human, and that the person he summoned wasn’t from this world. It would roar because it felt that if it won against them, it would be blessed with power that it could only dream of. It would shoot out another beam at the two of them, but the cape would move to avoid the attack, and Yuurei was quick on his own to do that.

Yuurei would smile as it saw the dragon was being serious in this fight. It understood that they were strong, but it was still confident that it could win. The Nephilim would look at Galatea and she would nod. He didn’t have to say anything, but they were going to go with their usual. They were going to be flanking the dragon. She knew that Yuurei would be the one to draw its attention, so she was able to do anything she wanted without worrying.

The berserker would move toward the dragon at full speed now and when the dragon saw this it would shoot a huge beam at Yuurei. He figured that would happen and he would punch the attack as he would disperse it. The dragon was surprised about that, and the Nephilim would have a smirk on his face.

Galatea, on the other hand, was on the move along with Yuurei’s cape as it was approaching behind the dragon.

The cape was pushing Galatea toward the dragon and when she got three meters away from the dragon, she would swing with everything she had. The woman would cut straight through on the dragon’s back and it would roar from the pain. It had wondered where the woman had gone, and it seemed like the man in front of him was a distraction. Still, from that attack alone the dragon could tell that the man with the golden equipment was the stronger of the two.

It would fly away from the two of them as it needed to be away from them. Its eyes looking at the two of them. It would make another blast, but this time it would shoot it up into the air, and then from there it would split into multiple beams. The cape had seen this, and Yuurei did as well.

“Dodge those attacks!” He shouted as he would start moving around, so he wouldn’t get hit.

He would be able to move around with ease as Renji was on his shoulder. The light mage didn’t want Renji to get harmed in any way. He also knew that his companion would criticize him if he got hit by a low-level dragon. The cape would move around as it would avoid the attacks meaning that Galatea wouldn’t be harmed either. The dragon saw this, and it would get angry. It was not enjoying that they were avoiding its attack in such a simple manner. When it saw that, it figured it could take out the woman and then focus strictly on the man later. The dragon would rush straight toward Galatea, and she would see this.

Yuurei would also see this, which meant it was time for him to act. He would fly toward the dragon from the side, and he would land a punch straight in the face of the dragon. It would cause the dragon to move its face enough to miss Galatea.

Galatea didn’t dodge the attack because she knew what Yuurei would do. She basically used herself as bait as the dragon fell for it. She would see the pain the dragon was in, and it would move away from them again. It was looking at the two of them as it didn’t know which one it would go for. The three of them could see the frustration within the dragon’s expression.

The dragon was not excited, and it felt like it was endangered. It wasn’t just that, but it wanted to prove itself to Nacht, but it was failing. It wished it knew what else this man could do, but it wasn’t sure it would live that long. Still, it could run, or it could hope that a miracle would occur, and it beat Yuurei. The Nephilim wonder what was going to happen next as he was spending a lot of mana to keep this fight in midair.

Yuurei would look at the creature and he could see the fear in its eyes. Still, it didn’t stop the dragon from attacking as he would watch the huge dragon prepare a huge beam at the two of them. The light mage had noticed that the people of Orchidia city were no longer in the area. That was good as he was giving them time to leave the vicinity, so he could fight the way he wanted to. At the moment, he would have to dodge the incoming attack right now. The blast would go off, and the cape would move Galatea away from it, and Yuurei would also dodge the attack as well.

He would land on the ground as he would disperse his transformation. Galatea would also land on the ground as the cape would return to Yuurei now. He would look over to the dragon as he could fight the dragon from the ground now. The dragon would roar because it had the aerial advantage, but was that even enough to win?

Yuurei put his hand out in front of him and he would cast a spell. He hadn’t done this in a while, but he had to show the dragon that it didn’t matter where it was, that the Nephilim would be able to catch it anywhere. A magic circle would appear above the dragon and a bunch of arrows of light would start shooting down on the dragon. The dragon would feel the blast from above coming down on him and it would piss the dragon off even more. It was not the hardest hit it felt today, but it could see that this man could get him from anywhere. The dragon would soar through the air and toward the two of them.

The Nephilim was glad this was happening because now they would be able to take it out soon. It wouldn’t take long for it to hit the ground as it would try to crush them both.

Yuurei and Galatea had run away from the area where the dragon was trying to land. When they did, Galatea would be pushed off her feet and away from the area due to the impact of the dragon. The berserker wouldn’t be bothered by that as he would run around now that the dragon was on the ground. He would run to it at full speed, and when the dragon saw how fast Yuurei was, it could see that it had made a mistake by being down here. Still, it was kind of too late as Yuurei had made his way to the dragon and jumped into the air, and punched the dragon right across the face.

The impact of the attack sent the dragon falling to the ground and prone to the attack. He would land on the ground as it felt its head spinning around. Galatea would get up from the floor as she fell and landed on the ground earlier.

Galatea would start running toward the dragon as she was behind it and she could see that it was staggered. The woman would rush at it with everything she had. The dragon would shake its head as it was trying its best to gain its composure back. When it did, it would look around and it would see Galatea already next to it. She would swing with all her might down at the mythical beast. It would stumble to the side as it would feel its scales rip open. It would roar from the pain as it couldn’t believe such a thing was happening to it. It felt like it was time for it to escape, but Yuurei wasn’t going to let that happen.

The light mage was already on top of the dragon, and it would feel someone running on it. It would try to fly, but Yuurei would punch a hole straight through its wing as it would stumble and fall to the ground.

Yuurei would land on the ground as it would look over at the dragon. His facial expression was serious, which brought fear into the eyes of the dragon. He wasn’t enjoying this anymore, and he was trying his best to get off the ground with his injured wing. The Nephilim would shake his head at the dragon as he would walk over to it. The beast would look at Yuurei and he would try and swipe at the berserker. The cape would cover Yuurei and block the attack, and when the cape moved away, he was no longer there. The dragon was confused about what was going on, and then he would feel that someone was on his back again.

He couldn’t tell who it was because his attention had turned to the woman who was moving toward him again. It would swing its massive talons at Galatea, but she would swing her claymore at the talon. They would both collide with each other, but she did this to grab its attention more than anything.

The berserker had tried to do this before, but it didn’t work out as planned. Still, now with Galatea distracting the dragon, Yuurei would be able to do it this time. The half-elf would run up the dragon’s back and straight onto its head. He would stand on top of the dragon and its eyes would look to see that Yuurei was this close to it. It was trying to react to what was happening, but the light mage wouldn’t allow it to happen.

He would strike down on the head of the dragon with all his force. The dragon would feel the hit and his mouth would be forced shut and he could feel the crack within its skull. It wasn’t just that, but its teeth would be destroyed as well. The dragon couldn’t do anything at this point, and it felt itself shutting down. The Nephilim had hit the skull of the dragon so hard he cracked it, bringing all the blood just overflowing within the dragon’s head. It would fall to the ground and the battle was over just like that.

The Nephilim would take the dragon’s dead body back with him to Paradise Dawn, but before he had done that he would let the citizen of Orchidia City know it was safe to go back to the city, but that they would need to prepare things. He, of course, would send help from Paradise Dawn.
