Quilla crisscrossed her legs as she had Suza sitting on front of her so she could do her hair. Her fingers went through the ice-white locks of her hair as she combed it with the other hand. She loved the side ponytail look with a headband so that's what she was going to do. This was the first time Ragnar will meet her and she knew she will have to explain a lot to him. "So, what's this guy like?" she started to motion her legs up and down as her hair was being combed, "Settle down now, I can't do your hair if you keep moving," Quilla instructed in her cool tone.

"Sorry," she said in a sorrow tone. "He's rather tall and strong looking. Met him by chance when he killed the people that were trying to capture me," she gave a light smile as she was done with the final touches. "You may get up now,~" she cooed at the adorableness of her adoptive daughter. Suza hopped up and turned quickly and smiled cheerfully. "If he wasn't there to save you then you couldn't save me! I will be grateful," she closed her mouth as she realized she was showing her non-human-like teeth. Her brows furrowed as Quilla tilted her head, "Why so ashamed of your teeth? They look fine," she assured her.

"Come, let's go out there and see if he's home now," she slowly got up and straightened her black dress. They both went out of her room as they sat down and she soon wondered, "Did you want to hide for a bit?~ I know you like to do surprises,". Suza quickly nodded and hid in her secret spot. Her eyes motioned towards the door and looked calm and expressionless as always, waiting for Ragnar.

Ragnar finally came in acouple of minutes after that moment, opening the door and closing it behind him. He was wearing his normal clothes, which was him just being shirtless and wearing a set of shorts under an armored kilt. Ragnar's body as time has gone on, the scars on it were getting fainter and fainter and they could almost not even be seen at this point.

After closing the door, Ragnar turned around and saw Quill waiting for him. Ragnar looked at her for a moment and almost felt like he had walked into a viper's lair on accident and needed to leave before realizing that what Quill was showing wasn't anger or anything else. She was just waiting for him for some odd reason.

After doing a very quick glance around, he didn't see anyone or anything that stood out to him at this point so he proceeded into the location where Quill was. Ragnar must be getting more paranoid as time goes on because there was nothing here and he needed to relax. Ragnar asked simply " Do we got a mission that I missed the memo for? "

Ragnar leaned back against a nearby wall as he waited to see what Quill had to say. Hopefully he didn't forget a mission, she always hated that when Ragnar did that.

Suza:
Quilla shook her head, "Oh no, not that at all, Ragnar," she coolly spoke with her expressionless face. Her head tilted and then patted next to her. "Come, sit let me introduce you to someone," she then looked towards the garden porch where the training area was. Her brown eyes looked and spoke out, "Suzaku, you can come out now. No point in hiding,~" she cooed as she gave a light smile. A little girl pokes out from the side of the wall from the outside as her cat ears show. Light blue eyes that were like ice gazed at the giant man and Quilla. "A-are you sure it's okay?", she wondered anxiously. Her teeth weren't showing as Quilla expected.

"Of course, come and sit with us," she then turned to Ragnar. "This is my adopted daughter. Saved her from a dragon a week or so ago after her village was burned down. Everyone died so I don't know much about her besides her race... which isn't human. I hope you don't mind it," she introduced her in her own way. Suza came over and stood in front of them both and bowed her head, "Greetings, Mr. Ragnar, if it wasn't for you, my new mother wouldn't be here and I'd be dead," she then stood up straight and played with her light-blue hair that was white in the light. Her eyes looked away anxiously as her hands were behind her back, holding each other.

Ragnar couldn't help but feel like he was walking into a trap as he went to sit down next to Quill. She had someone to introduce to him, was it a knife she named something!? Who knows, and that is when a small cat girl popped out from the garden area and Ragnar instantly understood what was going on.

Ragnar looked back to Quill as he tried to figure out if this was her child, but that didn't make any sense and the times never worked out. He had been with her for months at this point so there was no why she could have hidden that from him. Once Ragnar heard the story he nodded his head. He the little girl talk and he couldn't help but smile back at her, the smile was gentle, well as gentle as Ragnar's face could be.

He then stood up from the couch, before walking over to the girl and then sat down infront of her cross legged. He was still able to look her in the eye without any issues as he raised his hand up slowly and rubbed her head gently. " Listen, your new mom is more then capable of kicking my ass, even back then. She would have saved herself, she just didn't know she could at the time. "

Ragnar smiled at the little girl before speaking again " Of course I don't mind. If she is important to you, she is important to me. End of story. You are one of only family I got right now, so if she is a member of your family now she is a member of mine. " Ragnar gave Suzaku a small pat on the head as if to prove this point. " Hopefully she will not have to live the life either of us did growing up, atleast going forward anyway. "

Every time Ragnar patted her head she winced a little as if she wasn't used to the head pats. Suzaku listened to the man as she giggled in mid-way since the words he was saying were naughty, like 'ass'. She wasn't allowed to say those things yet as Quilla didn't allow it. Quilla looked at Ragnar and watched every movement as she was becoming overly protective by heart. "Good, then that settles.~ Suzaku, you will see Ragnar as your uncle," she insisted as Suza's eyes sparkled with happiness. She covered her mouth and gazed away, "C-can you guess what Demi-human races I am?", she knew her ears gave half of it away, but not the full thing.

She liked this game, she's going to play with Kaito too and everyone she meets. Quilla stood up tall and went to go prepare somethings as she wanted to go do something. "So Ragnar, tell me how your date went with Akuko after you play Suzaku's lil game,~" she coolly spoke once more while preparing somethings.

Ragnar smiled at the girl as she asked him question, and Ragnar scratched his head in a very animated way before saying " Ooooo.. Maybe a Fox?! " Ragnar said to Suzaku. Ragnar would go through every answer he gave just as animated and pretending like he couldn't guess before finally guessing his real guess which was Cat, assuming none of the other random guesses he gave were right. Ragnar didn't have a niece before but he did have the experiences of watching his own uncles play with his cousins and was drawing off that experience. Eventually when this girl got older, Ragnar would start treating her with less of a gentle hand and with more strength, but right now a strong hand will do nothing but break this girl.


Ragnar then got up from his sitting spot before sitting back down on the couch and watched the child for a moment before answering Quills question " I am surprised that Akuko hasn't told you at this point, considering how close I assume you guys are. I got way too drunk, being in the woods for two years without liquor will make it happen to you faster then you think,  and asked some question and made some statements I most likely shouldn't have said on the first date but hey. What are you gonna do? " Ragnar wasn't embarrassed about what had happened on that date but also was aware of how it looked from the outside. Either way, Ragnar felt ok about how the date went but he also wasn't sure how well Akuko thought the date went.

"N-no!", she made a large pout face as she kept covering her own mouth with her small hand. Her eyes watered as she couldn't believe he was bad at guessing. The ears were obviously a cat, but she was more than that! Her eyes looked away as she removed her hand and opened her mouth a little, "I'm half shark and half feline," she then closed her mouth and bit on her lower lip anxiously. Quilla looked over with an eyebrow raised as she then continued to listen to Ragnar while also finishing the touches. After the kitchen was done, she went to the closet to get a blanket and walked towards the couch.

"I have everything prepared, got your bag, Suzaku?", she asked. Suza's eyes brightened and hopped up to turn to gaze at Quilla, "Yes, Mama!" she slapped her hip that had her shark bag. "Good, go ahead and get your shoes on," she started and looked at Ragnar, "We're going to the beach park, come along,~" she instructed kindly in her cool tone. Ever since she had Suzaku, her emotions have been more tame, kind and soft, but she couldn't get rid of the cold-cool tone of hers.

Ragnar looked down at the girl when she showed him her teeth and Ragnar was shocked! He leaned down to her and said, in a very honest and almost childlike tone " That is the coolest thing I have ever seen! " Ragnar was completely genuine with his reaction, and it more then likely showed. Ragnar had never seen anything like that and found it just very cool. Ragnar also didn't really know what a shark was because he didn't spend alot of time out in the water but he was told they were dangerous creatures and that made them cool!

" That is awesome! Honestly wish I could get my teeth to look that cool! " Ragnar said to Suzaku, and he wasn't even joking. He thought he would look pretty cool with shark teeth, though he then thought about how he would eat and he assumed there was a way around that because this girl could eat so why couldn't he.

Ragnar listened to the interaction between Suzaku and Quill and just laughed to himself before standing up and saying " Ya. I will come along, but gotta say, this girl hasn't been around for long and you are already turning soft on me. Soon you will not be able to go on missions, and I will have to take care of you. " Ragnar said gently elbowing Quill in a joking manner. If she was going to let Ragnar into her family, Ragnar was going to treat her like she was one of his.

Suzaku peeked up as she blushed. Her hands formed into fists as she squeezed them tight, "Y-you really think so?!" she spoke enthused about someone thinking her teeth were cool enough to want them themselves. There was no way he'd want teeth like hers. She hummed and ran off to get her shoes on. She was excited to get to go to some beach park. She lived in a town in Baska where there were never any bodies of water besides maybe a small lake. Being a shark girl herself, she was excited to go.

"Pft, soft... Maybe I was always soft and no one knows the real me," she huffed and pouted while looking away from Ragnar. Her face was a tsundere look as she blushed away. She started to walk towards the door and opened it for Suzaku who skipped out and closed it on Ragnar's face. How dare he tease her like that. She was his elder in terms of actual living age. Once Ragnar caught up she looked away annoyed and carried the things close to her. Once they left the hotel they went down the hill to go towards the beach where there was a cliff perfect for the picnic. Suzaku skipped and danced around as she was happy to go. "I caaan't wait,~" she sung as she skipped back to Quilla to walk beside her mother and uncle.

Ragnar nodded to the little girl and he was very serious. He did think it was really cool but he didn't really have the time nor energy to convince this child that he thought it was cool. She would have to figure that out on her own by his actions. Ragnar laughed at Quill's reaction to his gentle joking, looks like he hit something as she huffed at him.

As Ragnar left, he did get the door closed on his face, and knew that he had hit a nerve. Well that might be useful to hold in his back pocket for a bit but that was fine. Once Ragnar opened the door and they started walking towards the beach Ragnar said " That is a good thing to set, closing doors on family members faces. Hopefully your daughter doesn't take everything from you, maybe she will learn some good habits from me.  " Ragnar said, still giving her crap and joking with her. He opened himself up to some joking retaliation back, but he was ready for that. As they got to the cliff on the beach, Ragnar looked out and realized something. He had never really been to a beach before, so this was something new to him.

"Good habits? Like what? Smashing skulls?~", she teased in her cool tone as she held Suzaku's hand. The walked down the path as they were getting to the walking stone path that led to the ocean. She was glad that she booked a place close to the Beach, otherwise she'd have to hear complaining from Suza with her feet hurting. She looked at Suzaku as she was looking towards a location, stopping her movements. "Mmm? What is it?" Quilla asked. Suzaku pointed towards a shop as she then looked at Ragnar and her new mother. "It says they do makeovers,~ How about we all do one?!" she smiled happily as she wanted to definitely update her uncle.

"C'mon mama and uncle," she dragged her mother in the store and as they entered you could smell incense. "Welcome, are you interested in a makeover?~ Everyone needs one for occasions or to perhaps feel better about yourself," the store woman twirled happily and Suza was buying it. "Yes! One for my mama and one for Uncle. Do you have a book to choose out of?", she wondered cutely. "Oh my, how adorable,~ Of course we do.", the woman went to grab her book and gave it to the little girl. Quilla tried to look, but for some reason she couldn't see it at all. They waited and finally Suzaku gave the book to the woman, pointing at some what she assumed was qualities of appearances. The woman nodded and escorted Ragnar soon after, "Bye, Uncle~" she cutely waved. Quilla wondered what she picked for Ragnar.

Ragnar wasn't about to say no, mostly because he felt at this point he had already gotten on Suza's good side and that meant he was on Quill's good side. Well Ragnar was in theory already there but having Suza's backing couldn't hurt right? As he smiled he went into the location, at which point he was brought into a room with a mirror in it. The women was very nice and said that this should be easy enough, just have to make some minor modifications. Ragnar was about to say " What modifications"

Then he woke up outside, standing infront of Quill and Suza. As Ragnar looked around he noticed acouple of things. One he was wearing a pair of black jeans with a black studded belt instead of his normal dress, he had on a pair of fingerless leather gloves, a pair of boots and he had a tattoo on him that he never had before of an eagle. He then felt his hair and saw it was shaved on the sides but still longish on top going to the nap of his neck and the start of his shoulders. So shorter then it was before. He looked down at this body and noticed that his scars were gone, but atleast his body was basically all the same in terms of height and build so that was good atleast. He was also ALOT paler then he was before but that was fine. As he turned to look to a nearby mirror he was pleased enough with what looked back at him. While it wasn't the face he had gotten use to, it was good enough.

" Well how do I look? " Ragnar asked the group.

Quilla Was looking towards her daughter as she was wondering what exactly she picks for Ragnar in terms of our parents. There were so many things in so many possibilities that she could have picked from. Suzaku was looking innocent as she just had her hands behind her back, swirling left and right. Have blue pools of ice looked up at her and smiled. " He's gonna look great. Momma, don't worry. Hopefully he'll find himself a lady and make me a friend to play with," she happily smiled. As Quilla sipped on her water, she then was starting to spit it out as she heard her say what she said. " Excuse me?", She wondered, as she was wondering how Suzaku learned about that stuff.

" I found some books about something about making children in the library downstairs," Suzaku said innocently. She will have to remember to go down to the librarian and make sure that the children don't read that sort of stuff for now. Yeah. At the same time, it was better for her to know than not know at all and find out the hard way.

earning fast is better than learning slow, right? Soon enough, Ragnar came out and his appearance was rather pretty good. She put her hand against her chin as she started to study him. " I bet Akuko will enjoy this. It looked like Suzaku picked it well." She gave a small smile and then looked away. Smiled happily as she heard her mom's approval and then looked back at Ragnar. "I like it!", of course she did. She picked it. Once they were done, they paid for it and started to leave, but not before picking up a card herself in case she wanted a change.

Ragnar laughed to himself as he said " Well first I would have to ever see Akuko again, it isn't like she had made herself easy to find. " Ragnar said but he looked at himself and even he had to admit he looked better. He still looked as strong as he always had but now he seemed more... approachable.

Ragnar looked down at Suzaku before saying " You have good taste. Good news, because is there no way you got that from Quilla. " Ragnar had literally no idea what her taste in anyone was, or even if she interested in anything or anyone. He just never wanted to miss the chance to take a shot at Quill when he saw a chance. He looked at Quill and gave her a wink and a smile, hopefully sending the message that he was just being an asshole for fun and wasn't serious.

Ragnar turned and looked towards the mirror nearby and then said " Well I am going to need to buy a new wardrobe because my old stuff will not fit me anymore. Beyond that, what were you guys talking about while I was in there?" he reached down to grab a water and started to drink it after asking the question.

Quilla folded her arms against her chest as she gazed away at Ragnar's comment. "Your teasing and comments are going to rub off on her, Ragnar," she commented back. "And then what?", her gaze of coolness looked at him and then at her who was attached to her hip. As Ragnar question what they were talking about, a hint of blushing appeared on her face and Suzaku was smiling innocently, "Mama and I were talking about a book I read," she then went to the door and waited for the both of them.

"Yea, a book that she found in the hotel library..." she calmly spoke and went out the door with them as they were ready to go. "We can go to the store down the street, there should be some outfits in your size," Quilla assumed as she and Suzaku started to go towards the store rather or not Ragnar was catching up. Quilla wasn't sure every detail of their date, but she knew it went at least decently well if she hasn't heard from Akuko about the gritty details. Once they got to the store you could tell it was full of muscle head men as there were 'tough' looking men with tattoos everywhere. "Guess this is your place," she shot at him as Suzaku went ahead to look at the merchandise.

Ragnar finished his water and he said " Well reading is a good skill to have, wasn't one I learned until much later in life. " Ragnar thought back to his days living in Icebergian in the tribes of warring bands, and it wasn't like he was taught how to read outside of what was needed to read reports or orders from his commanders but even then that was later in his life after he had proved himself. Either way, as the walked down the ocean boardwalk, they did eventually find a place that seemed to specialize in muscle men. Well that was close enough. As Ragnar along with Suzaku picked through the clothes they picked out a new set of clothes for him, without too much fuss, which Ragnar paid without any real issue.

Ragnar then turned to them and said " So do we wanna head back to the hotel, at this point, we have already been on quite the adventure? " Ragnar threw the idea out to the group to see how everyone felt about it.

Suzaku had a cheesy grin as she heard her uncle not really reading till later in his age. She felt as if she accomplished something great, which in a way she did. As they looked around, she saw Suza pick a few outfits for her uncle as she picked a lot of things in dark colors besides one thing, a shirt with a unicorn on it. "I found this uncle! Will you wear it when we go to the carnival or something sometime?", she wondered innocent as others around them all awed at her cuteness yet thought it was badass to have shark-like teeth. Whatever Ragnar decided to say, they bought all the clothes for Ragnar and started to walk.

It was getting late, so the question Ragnar was talking about made sense. "Let's go home, perhaps watch a movie," Quilla said. "Yay!~ Movie night!", Suza said excitedly as she airplanes away as Ragnar and Quilla walked towards the hotel with her.
