Naga

General

Name: Third Generation Dragon Slayer Magic: Oblivion Dragon Slayer

Elements: Arcane + Wind

Category: Single

Quantity: Limited

Details

Description: Those from the second generation of Dragon Slayers have had Dragon Lacrima implanted into their bodies, granting them the ability to use Dragon Slayer Magic. Because they were not taught their abilities by a Dragon, they are considered artificial Dragon Slayers. Dragon Slayers are known to possess keener senses than those of normal humans such as smell, as well as distinctive characteristics and features such as slitted pupils and noticeably sharper teeth.

Lore: Dragons are notorious for their lust over dominating and power, Yldrunth was no exception to this, who was considered a relatively weak dragon compared to the ancient dragons of his time. Previously a lesser wind dragon, Yldrunth was swiftly defeated in the conflict to seal away Nacht, Fearing their own survival with Qarilian the Devourer Dragon hunting after their own kind, Yldrunth fled into the furthermost reaches of the land. It was in these unknown lands where they came across a portal into the void much unlike the artificially created Fractured Sky, sensing the dominating presence of Qarillian close by, Yldrunth sought sanctuary within the unknown plane of existence.

Portal closing behind him, Yldrunth was relieved though only for a short time as he almost immediately encountered the inhabitants of the void, bent and warped beings who had remained in the void for too long losing their minds to the chaos that the void was made up of. Fighting and consuming these twisted beings to survive, Yldrunth was equally slowly manipulated to take on the properties of the void. Slowly the scales of the dragon began to warp into something else though their mind remained strong and resolute hoping to find a way back into the real world and get revenge on Qarillian who took their life away and forced them into the hellscape of the void.

After several millennia within the void, Yldrunith had grown to become a fearsome beast of the void that lusted for vengeance but had become tethered to the plane relying on its powers to retain its own strength. As powerful as an Ancient Dragon, yet bound to act as the protector of the void. Acknowledging their own inability to leave what had become their home, they would instead offer up portions of their immense power to those who wished for vengeance of their own. Unlike other dragons, the bond between Yldrunith and those who become their host is significantly one-sided with the dragonification process occurring far faster than other dragon slayers.

Secretly, however, Yldrunith still hopes one day that they will be able to return to the real world through the possessive powers they gained whilst in the void to overpower those foolish enough to seek their help. Except for their sinister intent to return and get their revenge upon Qarillian, unironically they do not seek further destruction instead simply wish to end the neverending punishment they receive in the void.
