It was a rare sight to be sure, Kon acting as an escort for some high nobility, however, he had taken a particularly fond attachment to the Lady. They had met many days prior bumping into one another just as he entered the Mountainous City to uncover the truth of what would later become the man’s guild Hall. She too had come to Myras but for far more ambitious means outside of a place to call home. She was endeavouring upon a goal that involved risking both her life and her close relatives. It was through this he had encountered her, assaulted from all sides by hoodlums hired by those of equally high standing hoping to remove her as an obstacle for their own nefarious plans and plots. He was swift to rid the surroundings of the rogues who attacked the woman but that would only be short-lived with the most senior, experienced and overall commander of the bunch denoting their return and with more numbers. Kon merely laughed at the idea having relished a challenge since the harsh defeat against the Eternal Nightmare Guild and Odin, Kon’s bitter rival left him out for blood. She had been left in a terrible state almost as if to make an example of her to others that dared cross whoever had ordered this attack upon her.

Consoling her proved almost entirely fruitless and his own methods of persuasion left her beyond approach, however, he did his best to at least maintain her dignity and cover her body left naked from the attack upon her. Removing his own coat and draping it upon the fair-skinned woman, Kon was far more delicate than normal in an attempt to soothe the woman. Fearing backlash from the woman, Kon stepped back somewhat and instead merely looked upon her with one knee bent over into the rocky floor. “Just what was she doing here?” Kon thought to himself as he looked around at the dark alleyway that they were hiding within. All the while Kon maintained his spell upon the commander who had certainly collected an ensemble of men and women to fight Kon and presumably kill the woman. At least he was maintaining his vision over the man until he passed his reach no matter how much Kon strained to keep focus upon them.

What was he to do, Kon couldn’t just leave the woman by herself and he certainly couldn’t take on an army all on his own certainly not how he was feeling. His bow was an option but the city itself served as a great hurdle if he was to use it. A single meteor might take out a portion of the man’s company, but it would also tear apart people’s homes and livelihoods something that would be a poor example, to begin with, a man who wants to right his wrongs by creating the Collective Mind, an almost antithesis to Kon’s old Guild of the Sentinel Syndicate. He would not restrain himself from murdering criminals and the like but unnecessary damage and injury to citizens was something he needed to avoid in the future. Perhaps he would be able to duel the commander to scare away his party but he didn’t like his chances given the “transition” he was currently experiencing. He could feel himself becoming physically weaker with each passing day but somehow more reactive to magic in a way that he hadn’t experienced for years.

For now, he would watch and wait for the woman to speak, move, or do something of note that he could latch onto. A hope that was only answered hours after remaining almost completely stationary with her softly whispering to the man. “Thank you…” Before bearing a saddened smile, one which he could entirely sympathise with and merely responded. “It’s what any decent person would do and I hope it’s what anyone would do for me in that position.” An almost pained chuckle left her lips bringing light the injuries that Kon had concealed earlier with his coat. He had managed to get a quick glance earlier but it only seemed superficial. Looks were obviously deceiving, what looked like bruises earlier must have been indicators for something far more serious. Though the woman had certainly just undergone something truly horrific, Kon still wanted to ensure their overall well-being and so approaching the obviously frightened woman ever so slowly, Kon introduced himself and began to aid her to her feet before leading her to the nearest hospital, healer or something of that nature. A feat easier said than done with him being met solely with resistance both physical and vocal accusing him of doing all things unholy under the sun. The language that was coming out of this woman’s mouth was truly unbecoming for a person of her standing however he was willing to her words and punches slide just like a rock skipped upon a river.

She had been through a lot and Kon would make sure that she received the best treatment even if he ended up being dinged up in the process. And the injuries that she was inflicting upon him were certainly going to be on the lighter side with the hoodlums undoubtedly plotting their revenge upon Kon. This self-gratifying justice that they deserved was just one of the other many reasons that he wanted to return to the higher levels of Myras, personally finding the lower levels himself entirely undesirable for any long duration. The interior just left him with a foreboding feeling of unsurmountable pressure, one which shared amongst foreigners to the Mountain City but citizens within the rocky walls found it comforting. Regardless, with this party of hired thugs soon to be on their coattails, Kon sheathed his bow upon his back before hoisting the injured woman within his arms cradling her as he would a babe before leaving the dank, dark alleyway to the clean streets towards a healer.

Of course, that’s what he had hoped to do with him instead of being swiftly and rudely interrupted by what appeared to be the vanguard of the commander's party. They were a duo of skinny teenagers barely old enough to grow fuzz upon their chins wielding nothing but rusty daggers and wearing little more than cloth tunic and pants. He was somewhat confused as to why they had sent them, perhaps as a distraction or a test, he wasn’t sure. But he wasn’t about to allow some snot-nosed kids stop him as such he pushed past them with enough force to send both of them flying towards the adjacent wall of the nearby building. It wasn’t intentional by any means, Kon had just simply become that strong over the course of his development and they were merely obstacles in his way, ones that were now laying collapsed upon the ground doubled over reeling in pain.

Typically he would have tried to help them but they had already illustrated a lack of concern for his own wellbeing and he needed to take care of the woman now made apparent more so with her body cooling rapidly and crimson visibly oozing from the injury. So leaving the pair to succumb to their wounds, Kon rushed through the busying crowded streets and towards the healer indicated by a fancy symbol. Inside they were immediately confronted by a pasty old woman with a wrinkled nose and patchy grey hair. Much like him, she radiated a potent mana pool clearly a witch of many secrets. Laying the woman before the witch, Kon merely resigned himself to a seat tired from the entire endeavour and muttered to the healer. “Please dress her wounds, I would have in the past but I can no longer cast healing spells.” A chuckle left the old crone's cracked lips as if knowing something he didn’t, but he wasn’t going to press for now he just wanted the best for the woman.
