Yuurei


Yuurei and Renji were ready to take on the day. It was the light mage’s birthday, but he figured that he would spend it a different way. He needed to make more money. The man was gathering his jewels to go on a big buying spree when the time came. He didn’t know when that was, but he knew where he was going. He was going to check up on the apartment complexes that were in Orchidia City. It seemed like one of them had other pest problems. He figured he would go and take care of the rats that were there. This would be an easy job and at the same time, he would be able to fight a bit.

The Nephilim was with his Exceed as they were getting close to their location. They knew that their client would be waiting for them there. He was hoping he would give them a bit of information before entering the building to clear things out.

Yuurei

While they walked through the city, they would be recognized by the people in this city. They would wave at him as if they were happy to have someone like him in their region. He would wave back as he was glad to be here for the people of Fiore. It wouldn’t take long for him to make it to the apartments. There were a lot of jobs that he had done here, and it would seem like there was more for him to do. He would see a tall, dressed man standing in front of one of the apartments, for which he figured he was the client he would work for today.

He would approach him and when he got close to him the man would look at Yuurei. He had a smile on his face as he was glad to see him.

“Yuurei, you will be taking on this job?” He asked him.

Yuurei figured that this guy would know who he was, so he wasn’t surprised about it anymore.

“Yes, I heard you needed some cleaning in the building.” He said to his client.

The client would move away from the door as he would look over at Yuurei.

“Yeah I bought this building, and it needs some pest cleaning. It seems like there are a lot of huge rats within the building. If you can, please get rid of them and find where they’re coming from and close it off.” He said to Yuurei as he knew he could do it.

Yuurei figured this would be the job, but at least he didn’t have to go into the sewers and fight a disgusting rat this time.

“Sure, it shouldn’t take that long, so I will be right back.” He said to his client.

Yuurei would open the door and Renji was prepared to be his eyes. There was nothing more he could do for him. He wasn’t as strong as he was compared to Yuurei, but he could be used as emotional support and to speak up if something came from behind.

Yuurei

Yuurei would enter the building, and from the beginning, he would hear a bunch of noise coming all over the building. It would seem like they knew that someone had entered. That was good because he was planning on taking them all out. He would start walking through the first floor as he figured he would handle everything that was here before going up. The light mage would make his way through the hallway and soon enough he would be able to catch a glimpse of a rat. They would look at each other, and out of fear the rat rushed towards Yuurei.

The Nephilim would shake his head as it would lunge at him. He would dodge the attack and he would launch an axe kick at the rodent. His attack would connect, and it would slam to the ground as it would take its last breath. Still, that attack would alert the others on this floor as they were coming straight toward Yuurei.

Yuurei

Yuurei would look around and he would see that there were a lot of rats coming straight for him. That was perfect because the faster he would get this done the better. The light mage would have his hands open when this happened. Two magic circles would appear in his hands and the stars would come out before they enter his body. The first rat would find their way to him. They would attempt to attack Yuurei, but he would dodge it without a problem. He would give it a quick jab as he would send it flying to its death. A few more would get close to him, and he would jump back to dodge the attacks. When he saw that he was against the wall he would push himself off it and he would launch himself toward the rats.

He would start attacking the ones that were around him as he was killing them one by one. It wouldn’t take long, but he would clear out the first floor without a problem. Now that he was done with this floor, he would move up to the next.

Yuurei and Renji would make it to the second floor and there he would see that these rats were already waiting for him. He would be attacked as soon as he had got up there. He would be quick to jump into the air and then used the rat that attacked him as a stepping stone. He would push off the rodent and he would apply so much pressure it would kill the creature. He would leap towards another rat, and he would land a quick punch to the head of the creature. It would cause it to fall onto the ground as it would take too much damage from Yuurei.

He would land on the ground, and he would see that more rats were coming toward him. He would dodge their attack as he was moving through the hallways. He didn’t want to get hit by any of these things, and that was for sure. Yuurei would thrust his foot forward on one of them. He would take out the rat and sent it flying to the other rats behind it.

Yuurei

Yuurei would see the rats moving around the one that he killed. They were angry as they were making screeching noises. He was prepared for this, and he would get ready to start striking them down. The first one would come, and he would take it out with one punch. A second one would show up and he would sidestep and kick to the wall. There were more that was coming straight towards him, and he would take them out accordingly. The rats were dying left and right, but that was part of the job. He couldn’t believe that there were a lot of giant rodents here.

It was scary and he wouldn’t want any normal person to be in there. They wouldn’t have lived through this. It wouldn’t take long, but Yuurei would clear out the second floor of the rat problem here. It was a little excessive, but he figured that it was time to move onto the third floor.

He would make it to the third floor, and he would see many rats. It was too much for one floor to handle, so he figured that they had come from the upper floor as well. It would seem like things was getting out of hand. The light mage had the stamina, but he started attacking the rodents in front of him while he was running down the stairs. He wasn’t going to have them pile upon him, but they were indeed chasing him now. Yuurei would continue moving and dodging whenever he needed to. Still, he kept attacking all the rats that were too close to him.

The Nephilim kept going as he felt like the number continue to grow every time, he had taken one down. The screeching noise from them was annoying, but he couldn’t let that get to him. He would continue pushing through this as he wondered who was breeding these things.

Yuurei couldn’t believe this, but shit he was fighting through it. The number of rats that he had killed was crazy. Still, he kept pushing through it all. He was now in the second-floor hallway as he was running around. He would turn every couple of seconds. He would strike a few more rats before he would continue running. Their numbers were decreasing and that he could tell. The screeching was becoming more tolerable than before. He kept moving because he couldn’t relax. Renji kept his eyes open from behind to make sure that no rat would sneak up behind him.

It was going smooth and honestly, he had finally made it to the end of the hallway. There he was forced to fight the remaining rats, and that he would do. Yuurei was serious and he would start taking down all the rats that were left. It wouldn’t take long, but he would clear out the rats in the building without a problem.

Now that Yuurei had done that he would inspect the building. He had to make sure that he wasn’t missing any of these rodents. The last thing he needed them to do was procreate and start all over in this building. Throughout his inspection, Yuurei would find a lot of jewelry and other valuable items within the building. It would seem like these rats had stolen a lot of things from those who lived here before. Still, once he was done with that, he moved on to the next task at hand. He was already looking for it, but he was looking for where they had come from.

The light mage would move around the building, and he would find his way back down to the first floor. It wouldn’t take long, but he would find only one hole. It was huge as hell, but he would find something that would be able to cover it. He had to make sure that it was heavy enough that they couldn’t move it until they truly closed the hole.

Once he was done with this, he would make his way towards the exit of the building. He would make sure that everything was clear once again before leaving. His client was still waiting for him outside and it seemed like he was impressed that he was still in one piece.

“I’m glad you’re alive. It seemed like you had a lot going on in there from what I heard.” He said to Yuurei.

Yuurei would look at Renji as he would open the bag that he had, and he would let all the things they found outside in front of the client.

“I got rid of the rats that were there. I also found all of this around the building. There is a hole on the first floor. I covered it for now, but you should get it closed as soon as you can.” He would tell this to the client.

The client would hear this and he would hand over Yuurei his reward for doing this for him.
