Something had called the paladin to town. Reports of strange phenomena happening in the area. Jin decided for once to stop being so lazy and check it out. With him potentially taking over communication and being more active in the guild he needed to ensure its safety.

Heat crashed like waves through the air. He wiped the sweat from his brow. "Weird," he responded to the unusual heat in this area.

Fires rose from the city. Jin's eyes flashed wide as he raced up the gates and then up the guard tower. He spared no time for the guards and people. Once at the top of the gate, he could see it. Purple portals opened throughout town. People poured in from them and spurned chaos around the town. Jin clenched his fist and stepped to the edge but stopped. "No. This is just like before."
He remembered his days back in the war and some of the tactics that he had used.

A guard was screaming for Jin to rush in to help people, but the paladin was lost in thought. He spun around to face the wilds. "I knew it," he said and swallowed. A smaller portal was opened in the distance on the outskirts of town. A battalion of enemies had already formed in the ranks, preparing to march on the city. "A diversion,"

"Tell anyone who can hold their own to meet me where the plains meet the edge of the forest. Have the town guards deal with the threats in here. We are all in danger. Take what supplies you need from the apothecary." Jin pressed a hand on the man's shoulder to urge him to go. He dropped to the outside of the wall.

Shimmers of purple light sparked to life and faded around him and throughout the path.

"Is...open....portal," fragmented words whispered from nothingness. Jin spun around. Shimmers of shadows danced irregularly across the ground, gaunt and spindly as if hunting for a true form. Dark light gleamed in mid-air. New portals trying to form and make their way in.

"Almost...see it," the voice whispered yet again. Jin reached for his whip and let the weapon trail down to the ground. The path led straight to the woods where the battalion was marching from. A battle through the trees. Something in favor of a smaller group facing a larger one. They had to stop them before they had the advantage of the open field. Jin ran further up until he saw a large purple light form above the trees.

"This was a bad idea," he gulped and turned around. With a big step, he started to plod forward. His footfall held halfway to the ground. A purple light was cast around him. A volley of dark arrows soared through the sky.

"Crap," He dove to the side. But the arrows weren't aimed at him. They fired and pierced into the walls of the town. Nothing serious, but some guards toppled from their posts.

The time of war was upon them. The thunder of footsteps pushed through the forest. The mage waited to see if reinforcements were behind him. Regardless he would brandish the whip with one hand and get ready to cast with the other.

Ah. Dry Land. Fresh air. A wonderful beauty thing. To be free from chains and the water of the sea, of Hellsea Bastille. She was free, able to touch the land, the grass, the soil. And yet the first place she was was back in the west once she crossed back from the sea. In Oak of all places. So funny. Being back in this region. She wondered how the people in Baska was. It had been a long time since she was around with them. The plaque...how was that contest?

She shook her head as she came forward. She had something else to concern herself with. Something that would make a plaque look worthless if let unattended to. Her growing network of eyes and ears spoke to her when she touched land. Reports of powerful and crazy phenomenas occurring throughout Fiore. Well...since powerful was being used...she had to go get a look for herself! There was one thing that stood out to her though.

It was fall, and it was extremely hot.

Suddenly she felt an impulse of mana, and started to smell smoke. Fire. And a distinct one, it was not the smell of meat cooking or someone having a wood fire. It smelt...off. Worse yet she was feeling a lot of mana fluctuation. Far too many to make her understand what the heck was going on.

Lights shined and sparked in front of her eyes. Soon a purple portal opened out some distance away from her, located with her on the outskirts of the town. A swarm of people dressed in battle armor and weapons drawn came out. Heavy armor, light armor, staffs, swords, axes. A mix match of everything. As she took a more careful look of her surrounds, she saw that there were many portals like this coming around in the distance. This one was only the latest of the spawning group.

"Well...either someone is coming to try and take me back to Hellsea. Or this is the phenomena I was hearing about...", either way. With how she saw the people looking at her, with their weapons pointed at her and some having magic charging. She did not have to guess about what they had decided to do in the terms of their 'greeting' to the guild master of Sleeping Calamity. Well that was okay with her. Fighting a battalion, sounded like a fun workout; just like Bosco again. With a shift of feet to start her run, the yell of the warriors was all she heard as she saw them charge forward. Ready to clash into combat against the red haired, black tip combatant.

So much going on, but how much does she truly care about the subject? Her eyes looked bored and lifeless as her expressions were cold and not there. She could barely get herself to go anywhere as she felt this sudden frozen thunder in her heart. Quilla dragged her weapon against the ground as the tip created sparks of friction. Her long, beautiful hair of a bubblegum sea flowed behind her while her mask was attached to her hip. Something in her heart told her to come here for the time being, but no sure on why.

Bai was next to her in his horse form as she still hasn't had his approval to get him to do anything more than be one. She wondered a little bit on what exactly he was. She put her hand on the side of Bai as she only thought of him as a horse. Who knew what this horse actually was? Her eyes lifted to see the sky swirl in an abnormal color. What phenomenon was occurring? She yawned softly as her face stayed expressionless. Was it going to make her feel anything? Was someone going to be there to battle whatever was arriving to ruin her day? She had a lot of questions, but she went on ahead as her eyes finally witnessed the chaos that was happening.

Slowly she took her time to get to the town and once she heard yells and screams she looked towards her horse. "It looks like Death has given us a job already..." she spoke in a soft monotone in Sinese. It seemed to be the one language he understood and thankfully she knew it. Bai long stopped and let her on before she pointed towards the direction. "Let's go, shall we?", she questioned more than ordering as she did not see her horse as something to order around. She will slowly become a companion to him and vice versa as they will travel as long as she could with them till her father claims her humanoid life for himself so she can join him and her mother in the Shinigami realm.

Bai jolted towards the forest roads as there were people there and that was where she will sneak her first attack with sweet beauty and calming, peaceful death.

Jin looked to his left to see the fury of a battle cry, belt forth from a redhead. Jikan was burning up the trial to smash into the battalion of enemies. "Phew," he uttered and then turned to his right when he heard the galloping of a horse. A bubblegum haired maiden rode true down the path. A more than familiar face to the healer. In the moment he saw both of them, his arms slid down to his sides, knowing he could take a more defensive role now. One more suited for a healer.

"The cavalry has arrived then." he said softly to himself incase Quilla was planning a sneak attack and turned back to the flood of enemies as the other two arrived. There was something more intense about Quilla but he couldn't place it. What was noticeable was the giant companion she had along with her. Jin smiled.

"Right behind you," he yelled at Jikan as she tore into the group. Jin side staffed along the outskirts, trying to keep both Quilla and Jikan within range of his healing magic. The battalion lurhced forward as one but then tappered off into different directions to deal with the attack.

Jin tried to stay focused on his teammates but a squad raced towards him on horse back. Jin ducked and rolled across the ground. A spear pierced the earth where he once stood. He held his breath and flicked the cut piece of his air away. "Too close. Watch it will ya," he grumbled at the radiers.

The horseback squad spun back around and  charged again. While this wasn't his weapon of choice, he had to make it work. He loosed the whip and cracked it high. The tip stung across the face of a raider and sent him spiralling out of control and off his horse.

Pain shot through Jin's leg as a spear slice part of it open. A small wound but blood ran down his leg. The paladin groaned and tumbled away. his whip lashed back out and snagged the raider's arm. With a yank made possible by his strength boosted armor, he pulled the rider from the horse. Another strike followed. The raider rolled back to his feet, with confusion on his face. His attacks had less power in them now.

The raiders in the back of the battalion, drew dozens of arrows back and ready to fire.

Jikan

As numerous and geared the charging force was, they were slow. Much too slow to try and hit Jikan. At least by their lonesome selves. Amassed in a large group like this, they had much more angle and opportunities to try and throw out an attack o possibly land. But that was a good thing, it would make this fun! That was what Jikan thought as she tore into the mass of bodies, punching, spinning, and kicking as she meet the forces. As she did so she heard a voice call behind her, it was somewhat hard to sort out from the others due to the cries and grunts of the invaders. But she got it, and was not entirely sure whom the origin of the voice belonged to, only that it sounded familiar at least.

Bodies flew into the air as Jikan punched the bodies of the warriors coming to her into the air one by one. Each one being pummeled as Jikan continued to run forward head first into the amass of bodies. Sending them yelling and crying in pain as they went haphazardly over the battlefield. Turning around, she threw out a left kick, hitting the side of a woman that was coming behind her. Sending her into a trio of warriors that was moving behind her to the side. Jikan continued her spin, placing a hand onto the ground to steady herself as she lowered herself, a sweep kick to the man that was before her. Swiftly standing up she threw a palm strike to the chin of another warrior with the demon arm, feeling the helmet crack from the blow. Her right leg kicked out, hitting their leg and making the stumble forward into more bodies.

Stepping to the side she dodged the stab of a person coming at her, grabbing the arm with one of hers, she snapped it down against her right knee, bending the limb. She let the sword drop into her left hand before grabbing the hilt and twirling it into a stab into the unlucky warrior's stomach. Stepping back she did a snap kick to push the body back, causing the long blade to dive into another warrior behind them. She continued to move, dancing like an agile ballerina dancer on her feet and toes. Bouncing about as she twirled, turned, and attacked. Chopping at necks, throwing short jabs to heads and chins. Jumping into the air to throw a short kick to another head, hearing it crunch as she felt her feet come down onto it. Then spinning and hovering in a short jump into the air to kick two people in the chest.

Landing on her feet, she walked forward and pulled out a katana that was logged in the body of a foe she had slain a bit ago, holding it with one arm as she began to slice and dice the still hungry forces that charged at her from all sides. With a quick motion she brought the blade up from its grounded position to slash at the chest of an approaching swordsman. Cutting through his armor like butter before spinning and throwing a diagonal slice from the right to clash with a potential strike that was aimed to her back. Behind her knee she caused the foe's body to tilt forward before she would kick them in the knee. Causing their stance to falter before being cut down by her. She held the sword lazy on her left side. Lunging and skipping forward as she cut more and more bodies down with an emotionless face. To the chest, the side, spin, to the back. Knocking a sword strike to the side before slashing the exposed neck. Cutting the arm off of an axe strike before grabbing it and throwing it into the head of another.

The sounds of metal clashing, clanking, and breaking sung out at each step forward Jikan took. Turning her head briefly to the side, she spotted the gathering of archers getting ready. taking a deep breath she let loose a wide purple energy beam from her mouth. Burning the bodies before her to a crisp as it travel to try and strike at the gathering archers.

There was so much going on. So many enemies to perish and to give to her father if they even had any souls to begin with. Her eyes watched on every direction, and this was going to be more difficult than she wished it to be due to the fact she didn't have her scythe with her. She was on her way to where she expected to be more allies, but suddenly several portals started to appear. She gritted her teeth and squeezed her clutches on Bai before she let go slowly. It was time for her to slide of the horse and pull out her katana that was attached to her hip.

The people around her were in black knight armors. They had their weapons out and were ready to attack. Her face stayed emotionless as she struck her katana into the ground. "Bai... I need you to go away,", she coldly instructed. Bai Long huffed as if it was going to ignore her instructions. He turned his head to her and stomped his right-front hoof. Quilla motioned her hand to her bag and took out her Haanya mask as it was turning crystal white. Slowly, she slid the mask on and that was when Bai took off as he knew what it meant.

She gulped as the mask was pushing itself onto her face. Tik, Tik, Tik, Behind the mask her face that was once expressionless was now forming sinisterly as her lips formed into a large smile. Her eyes that were once topaz were now blackened and glowing red. "Shall we play?", her voice was ghostly as she picked up her katana from the ground. No one was around that she knew. She slid her shoes off as she saw the time before the mask fully took over.

"Attack!", one yelled in a hallow tone as they came out of the portal to jump her.

She was gone.

All that was heard from her lips was laughter as she pointed her sword forward before letting her elbow go backward and charging to the knight going at her first. A stomp of her foot was done as others were piling towards her. Her stomp created a large circle under them all. She did not think of her actions as a large earthquake formed, destroying the earth and nature all around her within 16 meters diameter. As they were distracted, armor being destroyed, she slashed through her enemies while going forward. Bai Long hid as anyone in her sight was a target, her mind wasn't there.

Jin Tatsumi
No words spoke. Jin looked around the battlefield. Jikan proved why she led a guild, toppling squad after squad of people. Blood stained the field in the massacre. It was a horrific sight to most, but the woes of war were not a stranger to the paladin. He looked toward his love, to see her don a mask with a sinister smile. The earth trembled at her feet, and Jin tensed the muscles in his face seeing her blood-thirsty side. He took a few larger steps away, giving her plenty of space. Giving them both plenty of space.

They were handling the big parts of the event, and Jin had to stop goofing around if this night was going to come to an end. He sighed and rose his hand. "I hate this," he said as a dome of light fell down around him and squads of soldiers. Within the dome, the paladin whirled the whip around in wide arcs, striking any who came too close and keeping them all from running away. Any damage would be healed by the paladin's magic. The dome moved forward, toppling over horses and soldiers on the outside of it, while Jin marched onward.

Within the dome, two by two the squad's eyes filled with hearts. They fell in adoration with the paladin, willing to take on anything, and questioning their own need to even fight. The dome shattered into light particles as the forces outside finally battered through the defenses. The forces outside staggered back as they saw the scene.

Jin was surrounded by soldiers, with heart eyes. all had fallen for him. And Jin shook his head. It was still as uncomfortable as ever. He moved forward and the heart squad marched with him. The normal raiders charged in, but the heart squad was a defacto barrier. Jin cast healing explosions around them. healing himself and the heart squad while toppling dozen's of soldiers to the ground. His allies needed no healing. At least not yet. So Jin could focus on himself and pushing forward.

And Soldier that was brawny enough to break through the land, was held back by the heart squad and whipped by Jin. Some fell from the pain and others, had their will broken. Eyes replaced with hearts as he pressed forward, still. Light explosions dotted the battlefield.

Jikan

As Jikan watched the aftermath of her magic circle vanished. The purple beam traveled. 5 Meters, 15 Meters, 25 meters before vanishing. Tearing through the warriors before her. A few defensive magic circles came up hastily near the end of the beams trajectory. Other invading warriors ducked to the side. Some escaping without harm. Others losing an arm, a leg or a complete half side of their body. Jikan's spell tore through it all, breaking the defensive barrier and shields that came up. Losing power along with way but not failing. It reached her target hitting the the gathering archers with its full size but only with a D damage. It would not take them out but it would at least hinder their gathering and pace.

Only now did Jikan take a more detailed look around. The damage she caused and slaughter giving a moment pause in time for her. She witness the troops she faced. Many bruised already but more came unfazed and touched by her wraith. And even so, the ones that faced her seemed to not falter. No fear or desperation she could see in their eyes through their helmets or face in the pieces of armor that were broken by her.

People not dressed like the invaders were near. Two faces, two familiar ones. Jin of Eternal Nightmare that had recently helped Jikan in a little escapade a few days ago. And Quillareine, a person she met for an off night of funny games along side a friend? A mutual acquaintance to someone who was a somewhat(?) friend to Jikan, Jikan supposed. Either way she had some people here, Jin had skill and a...troublesome weapon that could come in hand.  It had been some time since Jikan had seen the lady, and safe to say she had become a busy bee. Gaining quite a name for herself. Facing many dragons and doing quite well from the rumors. A sorcerer who was wielded a sword that had an interesting companion and mount. A person stronger than herself.

Sword in hand, the pink hand warror stomped her feet, sending out a powerful shockwave on the ground and cracking it. A magic circle forming to empower her, shaking the earth and world around her in that space. Sending many of the warriors through pain. Armor destroyed, weapons dropped, before moving forward and slashing through the forces like they were paper.

Jikan eyes then went to Jin, seeing the man get to work. She shivered. God she hated that weapon of his. S evil. So....vile. So......lewd. The poor fools were trapped with Jin inside of a dome. The whip twirling around smack smack smack. The sound echoed. Hearts forming on their faces before the barrier fell from forces attacking from the outside. The heart eyed forces moved forwarded with Jin. As he hit more and more of the enemy troop. Steadily making a heart lovey dovey obedient army!

God that is effective....but...., she shivered. Moving a biiiiit further away from Jin as she twirled the sword she stole in her left hand. Lunging forward she attacked with her right hand, smacking the palm of her Mero gauntlet into the armored chest of a few. Sending them back rolling against the ground like a bowling ball until they smacked into a charging force of troops. Knocking the first off by their feet and causing a domino effect that cause number after number of the small squad to fall. Dashing forward, Jikan stuck out her right hand, a 16 purple meter magic circle expanding from her fist towards the downed foes. Black flames sparked and then exploded forward, swallowing all of them hole and leaving a dented charred mark in the ground at where the bodies laid.

Keep her movements, she leaped over the bodies. Swinging her borrowed sword in a horizontal slash aimed at the eyes of a man charging at him, his helmet broken. The man cried out as he was blind and swung out madly trying to hit her in anyway she could. She side stepped and danced forward with each missed strike. Her body moving freely as she lunged forward and threw a punch into his gut. She turned her head and spotted that the archers were hurt a little but not out of the fight. Picking the man up with one of her arms, she attempted to throw the man at the staggered forces a bit away from her.

No one else existed in her eyes. No Bai Suza, Jin nor jikan existed as it was just her, the nature around her and the enemies. Her eyes were misty as tghe air was getting rather moist. Her foot was still positioned after the erosion of her spell, towards the enemies that were still going for her. In a rather slow motion, she looked around as the enemies that were struck by her earthquake were jumbled at the feet, flying off in different places and landing on the ground. Her smirk, like her whole face, was hidden by her mother's mask. Thankfully, her spells were more of a donut as they didn't really hit her nor her items that she was wearing. "Come at me!" she yelled at non-Fiorian, "Give me a battle," she laughed manically as she then picked up her sword and ran at an enemy who ran at her with theirs'.

The grass felt so nice against her naked feet as she took her shoes off before this battle began. Her eyes closed as she felt the vibration of the person's steps and as she concentrated hard, she twisted her body away from the man, toing so she could get behind him and slice their waist. With her experience, she did so with a clean twist and slice. They fell down as she then tilted her head, with her body positioned straight and arms dangling.

It was too bad she didn't have her father's weapon as this would be more fun. She clenched her free hand as she tried to control her thirst. She felt the vibrations of Jin and Jikan, causing the demoness wanting to go for them. 'Their souls could be filling, don't you wish to be full?~', an unknown voice spoke to her as she tends to ignore it as the enemies were surrounding her once more. "Have you not learned from the first one?~", she sighed and shrugged. Her arm instantly lifted up and snapped her fingers flawlessly as a large ass circle appeared underneath them all, creating a small free space under herself. The area was being covered at 32 diameters. It was beautiful as it started to grow a humongous purple lotus flower. Everyone was within it, it was exciting her as it started to close up as her being the center piece.

The enemies were capitated by the beauty of it as it then closed up before they realized it was a trap, an explosion of beauty as everyone within the 32-meters diameter were tragically hit by the quality of something so captivatingly beautiful. Of course, she used this chance to then move forward as there were many on the ground after the explosion. She wanted to make sure that they were dead, dead... for good as she stabbed each one that was on the ground with full strength. "Ah yes, the sweet sound... of death," she whispered in Joyan with her cold tone.

It mattered not though as they seem to be from the void anyways. How many were there? The things from this unknown portal. She wished to go inside one, yes, what was inside? As one was opening it she went forward to go inside, but instantly she was denied access. Why? Why could she not go in to satisfy her will? What if it was hiding her fulfillment? The enemy was coming out of it, going in, coming out, surely she should be able to go in at the very least! She growled as her hand went through the knight's uncovered body and killed them instantly with her strength. Gritting her teeth she through the body to the side as her arm was covered in the person's unknown blood. "Useless...", she whispered.

Jikan wasn't too far away from the paladin as he was creating his small brainwashed army. He saw her shift even further away, from him and his strange weapon. This blasted whip was creating more distance between himself and others than he expected. But then again, that was its purpose. He just hoped people didn't see him as too odd for having it.

Darkness shrouded the area in front of Jikan as she unleashed a strange energy pulse. The darkness took the lives of all those before her. She danced around the battlefield merely causing bloodshed. It made the paladin wonder what all allies he ended up aligning himself with. She was effectively brutal. But perhaps that's what was needed.

Behind them, Quilla had entered the battle. Jin looked over the heads of the heart-eyed army at her. His first instinct was to meet up with her...he took a step. But paused. Her eyes were different and focused on the bloodshed she was about to unleash. A massive explosion took the lives of everyone around her. She heaved the blade into the half-mangled bodies, ensuring they wouldn't stand up anymore. War was never a clean affair. He decided it was best to leave her be and focus on his own path.

He turned back to the encroaching army. Just how many more did he need to plow through? They charged wave after wave. With his allies in no need of his assistance, he wondered if he should spend some more time buffing and not just healing. He shook his head, deciding to stay to the thing he knew best. More soldiers came and were whipped multiple times. The heart-eyed battalion didn't know what they felt the way they did. They only knew they did want to harm the paladin.

A volley of arrows rained from the skies above. Jin gazed upward and rolled out of the way. The arrows pierced many of the brainwashed warriors and those yet to be affected. The invaders chose to sacrifice a few to stop the march.

Blood splashed in the air. Jin stood with his hand clenched around an arrow in his shoulder. A soothing yellow light sealed the wound and he tossed the arrow to the side. Another volley fired off. This time, Jin lifted up an invader and held him like a shield.

"Sorry...thanks," he said reflexively and ran through the battlefield with whatever troops were still under his spell. They smashed into the other soldier forces and gave Jin small openings to dart through. Although he wasn't very fast with his army being so heavy.

He wasn't even sure where he was running. Just that it was further into enemy lines. He slid across the ground, feet first, like sliding into home plate. His back pressed up against a siege weapon and he took a deep breath. A moment of discretion. An invader peaked his head over the side. Jin snatched him by the neck. The soldier's body thudded against the ground. "Shhhhh" Jin clamped his hand around the man's mouth and pointed.

The heart-eyed battalion was searching for Jin and fighting anyone that got in their way. "We both need a break...right....right?" he whispered aggressively and the man nodded vigorously. Jin sighed and removed his hand, to lean his back against the trebuchet. The guard was sweating and his boots rattled against the blades of grass. He slunk next to the light mage unsure.

"I'm just gonna hang here for a sec until they need me. Or I get discovered." He rubbed his elbow that was still sore after taking the arrow.

Jikan

The man's body that she had thrown glided in the air. Slamming into the staggered number of soldiers. Toppling their bodies over like bowling pins falling to the force thrown against them. It was strange, the satisfaction she got from it. Winning or losing. Dominating or struggling. Either state of combat made her skin tingle, a switch flick in her mind, fulfillment and a realm beyond the words of excitement or bliss. Her left hand on the stolen blade hilt tightened, her muscles burning with the thrill of battle. Her eyes on the heap of bodies that groaned and the numbers that stepped to the side or ducked to avoid the avalanche of bodies.

Fighting was all that was in the forefront of her mind right now. Not the trival noise of being popular amongst the people, or the animal kingdom of the infamous underworld of Fiore as well as the other nations. The people behind her in the town of Oak, King Rein's decree over the need of unity to defend their world. Those were things she could think about before battle, would think about before battle. But now? In this moment of life, her thoughts were on opposing and crushing the invaders. Warriors out to kill her and prove they were better than her, and she would return that same energy, ten fold.

She took a step forward, the blade in her hand slicing against the ground to her left in an arc. Cutting the grass and letting it flow in the wind. Her green-blue eyes forward, her ears open. Senses ready to take the tell tale signs of a shift in the people around her. Her body calm and willing to act in a moment. The sound of battle danced and twirled around her, the momentary stillness of bodies all around. The breaths of Jin, Quillerine, and Jikan just soft backgrounds in the larger grand scheme of the field.

By the sounds of it the two fellow fighters from Fiore seemed to be doing just fine. A slow look around proved that fact. It was always good to keep an awareness of ones fighting environment, sounds could only do so much after all. The sound of the ground being struck by Quill was clear, a pinball like sight as the invading bodies flew in the air. The masked wielding warrior's voice spoke in a hearty manic laughter. A challenge was declared by her in her voice. At least, that was what Jikan was able to pick up by the volume and tone. Their movement small and snake like as she sliced one man at his waist. The body quietly falling to the side.

Jikan shifted, her eyes going back to the growing numbers of the invading forces that were getting ther second wing. Standing back on their feet and reorganizing their formations. The purple dark flames of her magic dying down slowly. It smoked the grass in a herbal spice, the smell of nature starting to be cooked and broken up into the air. The essence acting like a fragrance to try and cloak the increasing smell of burnt skin and dead bodies that was increasing.

Jikan was begining to wonder why it was only the three of them. As strong as they may be, shouldn't the town have wages, guards, or adventures coming out to fight? Perhaps they were simply held up with handling the safety of the city internally. She would not be surprised if portals opened closer to town or even inside. Small and less numerous, but still something they would have to respond quickly to. Regardless, for now it seemed the fighting would just have to continue onward with the three of them.

As the forces gather around her, helmets being dawned in once more, shields being shaken to get blood off, hands wondering in the ground for their dropped weapon. The swarm was buzzing, gathering themselves at the red headed warrior at the center of their blood lust. Seeing their movement, Jikan picked up her left foot and stomped it down. A crack of force that shook the immediate area around her, causing rocks to loosen, opponents' feet slipping into the ground. Awkward movement causing damage to their ankles and legs through their armor.

As this motion of physical strength, a magic spell would be created. With Jikan as the center as an epic center, q brown 16 meter wide magic formed. The earth shook and quakes, pillars of earth shooting out. Pushing the enemies forces on impact into the air. Her eyes followed the bodies as they yelled, shrieked, and yelped begining their ascension 25 meters in the air. Her right hand began to shift. With one thought in her mind.

She supposed that it was good that there was only the three of them. She did not have to worry about any blow back if any Fiorian officers got hit in the cross fire of her wide attacks.

It was okay, it was alright; that is what she kept telling herself, but as much as she could say that she knew it will not make a difference. The smell of this odd blood was making her feel as if she was intoxicated, and not in a good way. Her heart felt a smudge amount of pain as she saw more of the unknown entities coming her way. She wondered, a deep part of her wondered how the others were doing while the one that was controlling her was just slashing people. The truth was, she was going to become the savior, the savior of the people in Joya and those around her. She will... The thought was on pause as she had a moment of realization.

The knights went forward towards her once again as her blade was about the break. "Shit," she whispered and then chuckled as she'll use her fists after she was done creating an explosion. She pointed her two fingers in a gun position towards the two abyssal looking knights and gunned them with her spell. One of them was a shape of a star as the other was not by shooting, but by lifting her arm up and snapped her fingers. At that moment she remembered the first time she did this spell. How the flowers of beautiful colors rained down from the summoning circle above all, sparkling in beauty and serenity. When was the true time that she used this? She doesn't remember as her memory was a little loose due to the mask.

The mask was making everything harder, but easier in a different way. She sensed everyone around her in their specific spots due to this mask. She didn't know who was who, but Quilla knew the exact spot they stood. Her star bullet shot one of them through the face which caused them to fall back and die. It didn't feel as satisfying to her for some reason. The beauty of her other spell was something else though. The enemies gazed at the beauty of the spell as little frangipanis and spider lilies of red fell down slowly. They were pure crystalized as they weren't nature related. They shined and glistened as now a flower of both combined shot out of her other hand, bolting towards the target like a twirling torpedo.

"Seven minutes," she ghostly spoke as cold air came from the mouthpiece.  "Seven minutes is all I have to spare for you,", she lastly spoke as she picked up the sword again and ran forward towards the enemies. In Quilla's mind, she only saw the wars she has fought in the past. The time she fought against regular men in armor with weapons and simple magics. It was more bizarre now. Her eyes closed and let her intuitions run. The vibrations of the ground against her bare feet could be felt as she followed each one. So far she was still in her thirty or so safety meters, or so she believed. No one that wasn't one of these unknown creatures was around her.

the woman was rather closed off from reality at the moment. In her vision she saw the men she was fighting. The human men who slowly one by one turned into some smokey entity figure of shadows. They clashed swords till both of their swords broke. The sky was becoming darker as she was figuring out what to do now. It has only been a mere minute at most as she killed a couple more of these things. In reality, she was twirling around with her sword, not caring what it smacked against as it was mostly just bodies that came towards her. Her pink hair danced with the wind during her swordsmanship. Is this what it felt like to be free? No, as she was still pinned to do specific tasks with no freedom to do what she truly pleased.

Jin Tatsumi
The guard still rattled in his boots. "It's okay man. Just breath for a second. You see that bloodshed out there. You were a whole freaking army..and those to are slicing you down like nothing. Wave after wave. Trust me...it'd be better to play dead and hope they don't see you breathing. We'll save our showdown till the end." Jin spoke as he pointed his thumb over the side of the trebuchet and towards the mayhem that was caused by his allies. It made him wonder, just what the three of them could if they were the invading force.

The earth rumbled and split. Jin peaked through the boards to the siege weapon with the lonely guard. Spikes of earth shot from the ground. Jikan sent soldiers flying left and right from the massive magical earthen attack. It was rare for him to see earth magic in action. At least not to this degree. Not yet anyway. The soldiers rained down like dead dew drops. One man landed on the trebuchet and rolled off. He thudded on the ground behind Jin and the Guard, gasping for air from the impact. He swallowed and drug himself to his feet. Eyes locked onto Jin.

The paladin shook his head, pleading for the invader to stand down. The invader's mouth opened. The Lonely guard shot a look at Jin. They both knew what was about to happen. Before the guard could yell, Jin winced and slammed his boot onto the man's face, caving it in. The power of his armor boosted the mage's strength.

Blood spilled onto the ground and Jin slumped back to the trebuchet. "I didn't want to do that. Why are you all even here?"

"Our worlds aren't so different. My name's Regi. I have a wife and a son. I'm just a soldier...sent out on a mission." He held his head in his hands. Grief poured out to the contours of his frown.

"It's alright Regi...just stick with me. We'll get through this." Jin smiled. Maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all. He just wanted to live now. With Quilla and Jikan on a rampage...there wasn't much one man, especially a low-level soldier could do about it.

The trebuchet's in the distance geared and launched a volley at his allies. But they were still fresh. Even if by some chance they were touched by them, it would do a meager amount of damage. And Jin would be there to patch it up.

As he sat and kept an eye on his companions Regi tapped his shoulder and pointed to the far reaches of the battlefield. "Yeah" Jin asked and looked in the distance. A single rune knight crouched on a hill. Jin squinted his eyes, "Follow me," JIn whispered. Regi stumbled over his words but followed. Perhaps it was just in the fear of saying know and ending up dead.

They darted across the battlefield. Jin dropped Regi's allies along the way. Too which Regi apologized to their corpses. The rune knight finally saw them rushing in and ducked behind the hill. The two closed in and Jin leaped on top of him.

"Hey! What the hell...where are reinforcements. We could die out there." The rune knight struggled to get free but only shifted in the dirt. He laughed and spit on Jin's armor. "Why waste good troops, when we can have dirty dark mages clean things up."

Jin's grip loosened on the man's armor. The battle faded a little in the background. Regi put a hand on Jin's shoulder, sorry that his own people left them to potentially die out there. Odin...the Bosco...the war...and now this. "You people wear badges and stand vigilant...but all you know is betrayal." Jin drug the man by his boot into the battle field. Regi gulped and followed along. The invaders poured toward them. The rune knight clawed at the ground to get away but couldn't shake free.

Jin heaved the knight forward into the invaders. They caught him with their blades through his chest. The knight fell limp and Jin did nothing until the knight was dead. He gazed at the invaders and opened his arms. Two by two they rushed in for slashes. Jin's blood streamed into the air. Regi watched the attack until it became too much to bear. He ran in, to pull his people away as Jin took blow after blow. They pushed him back to the ground.

The soldiers took a step back, tired from slashing at the paladin. Jin breathed heavily and let his chest expand as much as it could before exhaling. "I'll take that back now." He pressed his hand on the ground and yellow light flourished around them. Their life force drained away and fed into Jin, sealing his wounds. Two by two the attackers dropped to lifeless remnants. Just like when he began his career. He was nothing more than a puppet to the military.

Jin stepped over them, back toward the battlefield. Regi in tow. A bullet made of a star whizzed by him. Regi howled in pain and was kicked off his feet. Just like that...the man was gone. "Goodbye Regi," Jin whispered, used to the loss on the battlefield. They both knew that in the end only one of them would walk away.

A whirlwind danced through the air and swept away invaders. Pink strands of hair twirled around. He turned to speak to her about the idle reinforcements waiting until they finished. "Quill," he began when the twirling sword struck across his chest. Jin's eyes widened as she danced with closed eyes.

He fell to one knee.

Jikan

Jikan's left hand stayed in the air, her mana following and building within her arm as she gazed upward. A number of the forces invaders were stuck. Trapped. 25 meters in the air, held up by the constructed earth pillars that shoved all within a 25 meter around Jikan into the air. A few clung to the pillars, a few could not hold on as the pillars completed their momentum. Bodies stuck airborne currently, helpless. A few surprised her, rolling to the side and falling currently down to the ground; a few crazy ones even jumped! Battle roars going strong.

Another wave of invading warriors came in this moment. The falling bodies of some of their comrades and the earth rumbling, splitting. Doing nothing to cause them to falter. The earthen pillars stood in the open, numerous spanning over the 25 meter perimeter around Jikan. Standing tall as the bodies rained down like rain drops. Jikan's hand stayed raised, waiting for the forces to get closer to her. 20 meters.

Off in the distance, dozens of meters away, she could see the continued battle dance of Quillareine. A demonic mask on her face as a few knights came at her in a forward charge, meeting the agile attacker head on. Blade vs blade clashed as one warrior managed to break the sword in their attack. The lost of a melee weapon did nothing to deter or falter Quillareine though; for the pink haired defender had her hands as well as her magic. An explosion rocked forward, sending the warrior before her away. Her fingers shifted, two of them moving. Her magic gunning them down into a gun like positions towards two more knights and gunned them with her spell.  One was a straight forward action, a start shaped bullet. The other came out and continued with a raise of her hand, an artistic glowing display of power as well as beauty. ...10 meters.

It was as good as a time now. Some of the invading forces had moved around Jikan, and she had the perfect opportunity with them closing in on her. With the flick of her fingers on the hand she hand extended. She pointed two  fingers down. With this motion the 25 meter wide brown magic circle below Jikan and the encroaching enemies around her glowed with renewed energy. The earth shook and the earth pillars broke, hovering in the air and flying down in a barrage blur of earthen shrapnel. Diamond shaped bullets rained, slicing and piercing the armor and bodies of Jikan's enemies within her magics border. A soft cloud of dust build, growing and growing in mass as the spell continued to rain until every enemy was taken down. Jikan stood in the center, a mass of bodies wounded and destroyed around her, her left hand coming back to rest by her side as she waved it to cause the dust cloud created to disperse.

Gazing around, she took note of the enemies beaten, and then a very...well she did not know. Crazy, unbelievable sight. Quill had struck Jin?! And a volley of attacks from the enemy afar was heading their way.

"oh.... well, shit".

Everything came to this moment. She was in her won world, the world and dreams of death. All she could smell were the ashes and blood of those she was killing. She had no idea who she was hitting and the time it took to realize who all she hit, it was too late. Although that was true, she had her eyes open for her shot, not hitting anyone besides a dark raider as they fell down. Meanwhile, she twirled and stopped and stood still. She smiled behind her mask as she then looked around, her eyes glowing. Her sword went to her lips and licked the blood. She purred at the taste and then realized that some of the blood tasted different. More... intoxicating, not like the dark knight's where it tasted like the equivalent of alcohol, but more of a great tasting and feeling sensational drug.

This blood was sweeter than anything she has ever tasted before. It made her heartbeat faster, her body felt hot, and it gave her ecstasy. Her breath turned hot as she then looked around for the first time, not as her demon, but as herself. She gulped the last bit of the blood in her mouth and finally felt frozen. Her eyes gazed at the one she least expected to be in her way. The one she only cared about around here as they had her heart. Her inner self wanted to slowly walk to him, approaching to check on him. Another part of her wanted to run off, but the part that she was now wanted to finish him off.

Quilla threw her sword down onto the ground and fell onto her knees. Her hands cupped each side of her head and folded over. Flashes of reality and her own reality were coming to play as they showed different pictures of what was in front of her. The reality of him being cut, bleeding and all the knights that were dead. Her own reality, where she was in a deserted forest filled with the enemies of twenty years ago when she was at war in Joya. She clenched her hands fighting, hair entwining through her fingers. "S-stop..." she whispered. "I need to check on him", she whispered to herself. "You don't... doesn't his blood taste... amazing?~", purred a soft demonic voice from Quilla's mouth.

She gulped and slowly stood up as if she was fighting gravity itself. Her mind was thinking about how she was just enjoying herself. Slashing her enemies and reminded herself of the war days, but then it made her really realize something. Instead of Jin, it was Akuko who she slashed and killed that day. Her vision showed Akuko instead of Jin. "Akuko... I..." she acted as if she was in reality. Her enemies were around them and she got on her knees in front of Akuko. She looked at them and put her hand on their cheek. "I seem to have failed you again, Akuko...", she spoke in Joyan.

"Well, what do we have here?", spoke a high-pitched voice from behind her. "Mm, well, it seems history has found itself," the voice once more spoke all too familiar. Quillareine stood up and turned swiftly around as she then tilted her body back as a spear stabbed towards her. As soon as the spear retraced itself the girl Quilla saw stuck it into the ground for a split second. "Hmph," she huffed cutely. The girl was covered in dark aura mixed with a magenta-red swirl. Her white hair was up in a ponytail as her dress was Victorian style. "I shall end this War for you, Akuko," Quillareine was still in her own reality from the past, but the only thing that was real were the cuts on the person behind her who she saw as Akuko, who died back them and the girl in front of her, 5 meters away. Quilla picked her sword back up and pointed it at her.

"My weapon may be weak, but my strength will destroy you once more, Qinx Zui," she spoke in Joyan and at that moment she could care less as she started with a spell that destroyed her own weapon and anyone around her, but within the time, it would have given Jikan enough time to drag Jin out of there. If Jikan didn't, Bai would use their teeth to drag Jin away as they dragged them by the shirt. The horse was capable of such things. Beforehand, The Raider commander taunted, "Oh, Quilla. Looked like you failed your allies as the you in my world betrayed everyone by killing most of my people. Can't wait to avenge them..." she gave a toothie grin. The flashback of dead Akuko and the instant flash of Jin's 'dead' appearance even if he really wasn't dead, to her he was as her sight failed her.

"Enough!", she yelled in Joyan as Blue crystal-like spikes erupt out of the land within a 32-meter AoE area from where she stood. "Shit," the woman spoke in spite as Quilla's eyes glowed red. As soon as they disappeared, she jolted for the woman to destroy her and these memories.

Jin Tatsumi
Jin grabbed his chest, feeling the thin trickle of blood that slipped through his fingers. "Ow," he manged to mutter out. Luckily his armor had him well protected. His hand ran down to the deep gash in that same armor, and across the glowing chest plate. His knees still dug into the cold earth. His fingers dipped into the deep gash that nearly exposed the rest of his body within. That weapon of hers hit harder...much harder than he expected. He cursed himself inside, for being so absent-minded that he walked right into the line of fire. And at the same time, he wondered what sort of trance she was in to not even notice him. A bloodthirsty vision of the world that covered her eyes.

Either way, his eyes slowly drug up from his own wound to see Quilla that had now collapsed on her knees. A rogue soldier paused, confusion written on his face. The Soldier lashed out, trying to strike quilla while she was distracted. Jin grabbed his whip quickly and latched it around the soldier's leg. With a sturdy yank, he pulled the man from his feet and snatched him away from Quilla.

"You alright," Jin asked, but his words feel on seemingly deaf ears. She went from one trance to another. "Aku...who" Jin replied, perplexed at the name she spoke and trying to hang on to the Joyan tongue she adopted. "Huh" he spoke as her hands cupped his face, and her eyes looked at him, like he was some other person.

"I...have no idea what you're talking about. Quilla it's" he started before they were interrupted by another voice. It started to blend together. A vision from the past maybe. He was thinking and Sucked in his gut out of fear when the spear stabbed at them both.

Things were getting complicated. This was supposed to just be a causal trip, And now they were battling an army and Quilla had lost her mind.

"Qinx Zui" he repeated softly, confused by all the names that were being thrown around. Somehow he had seemed to miss an entire aspect of Quilla's life. Something from her past that she had often kept close to her chest. Jin began to stand up as the pain was leaving his chest. Whoever this new person was, they weren't as much a push-over as the rest of the people had been.

He watched the exchange between them, without interrupting. Whatever they had going on was something deeper than he could know. All this otherworld nonsense was becoming too much. Jin started to step forward as the ground was covered with a blue magic circle. If anyone started to come for the paladin, he would simply wave off the help with a smile and stay behind Quilla.

"I'm a healer. It's what I do." He shrugged as the explosion of earth came from beneath them. Spikes drove into his body and bounced him upward. His armor took the hit. The chest plate pulsed with light, but the armor stayed in one piece. It was something he had worked hard to do. If there was one thing he was good at...it was taking a hit. Well...his armor anyway.

He dropped back down to the ground, as Quilla shot forward to fight once more. Breaking her out of whatever trance she was in, wasn't an option for now. He just wanted to make sure she stayed standing. He tried to shift his gaze towards Jikan as well and see if she was doing alright as the volley of attacks was about to head for them.

He'd nod at Jikan letting her know, he had plenty of healing capabilities left. Just in case the volley rained down on them and caused some serious pain.

Jikan

Jikan eyes scanned, bewildered and perplexed. Attention and focus split as the sights before her that she had to respond to. Quillareine in the wake of some blood lusted attack focus, didn't realize that one of them was going near her. Perhaps a bad decision, walking up on someone while they were in tge middle of fighting a horde of invaders. Hut alas, it happened. Jin getting cut by Quills blade, the pink haired neph tasting the blood on her blade and suddenly realizing what had happened before throwing her sword to the ground and falling to her knees.

At this point Jikan new that Quilla was out of hit, her legs running gaining speed quickly. The vision of Quilla grasping her head and Jin snapping his whip to pull at the leg of a solider that was trying to take an opportunity. Smacking the fool to the ground as Jikan began to hear Quillareine's voice. It sounded twisted and in pain. At times hers and not hers. Even more of the time Jikan was. It even able to make out what exactly the disturbed magic user was saying.

The fact that herselt or something else was asking if Jn's blood was delicious to her. Akuko, a name she was familiar with but, why in this situation? What connection what trigger?

She was going to go for Jin and grab him, but that was before he waved her off. At her full speed now she had only a second to think as she saw the magic circle form. All of them in the middle of it. And Jin wanted to be left in it!?

Mad. Simply mad the both of them. Regardless of Jin's signal, she was not about to let a fighter, and more importantly in Jin's case, a healer. Become unopertable or hindered due to...whatever reason he wanted to stay in the circle. And so she would continue to run, dashing pass Quill and Jin, attempting to grab Jin as she went to get both of them 3 meters away from the doan of the 32 meter magic circle.

"The heck , when is getting stabbed what a healer does? Don't play hero, think", she said if she was able to grab him and drag him out of harms way. She would let go of him after they were out of the magic circle glaring at him for a moment before looking at Quill. Her eyes trained at the unknown comprade. Crazed acquaintance? Enemy?

Either way her hand facing the incoming arrows rose. Being swung out to stretch against the sky, a grey magic circle 4 meters wide appeared from the raised limb. Out of this circle, a grey 4 by 4 sized dragon formed out of the circle with a roar. The grey beast took to the air, crashing into the volley of arrows before bursting into the mass and canceling out the invaders efforts. A intense smoke of air formed in the air before the grey dragon moved out of the fog and continued onwards towards the archers. Jikans demonic left hand glowed, the empowered force of the magic being filtered through the limb sapping away at her to improve its power.

"Now...what the heck is all this Jin??", she said in a calm yet slightly annoyed tone as she continued to gaze at Quill. Whether Jin was by Jikan or not did not matter, Jikan would have still looked at Quill, perplexed internally.

Quilla didn't hear anything that was going on, what was said by Jikan nor Jin. The girl was ready to kill this woman who was from her past. How was she here and something was different about her. Her eyes closed for a moment as she was ready for her to take her own damage, but that was not going to be the case. The girl knew that she was immune to her own damage. Quilla tried to concentrate on the voices around her, Jin's and Jikan's. Why was it so noisy? So many voices were talking at the same time. Her head shook, hands against her head on each side and tears dropped like rain.

She had no sword as it was destroyed due to her own power. Her pink-red eyes glowed as she had widened eyes ostensibly of such a demonic way. She seemed to be not herself. If anyone tried to grab her, she would find a way to retrace her steps and swap away the hands that tried to take her away. No power will be in her way. The people among all knew that they must take a stand against all odds. She was no where near where she used to be in terms of sanity and herself. Rather or not she felt what she will feel in the soon future was unknown, but the truth was... she could no longer control it as much as she did once before.

Quilla lifted up her hand and snapped her fingers, deadly looking at the enemy. This copy who she realized was one with something distinct feeling. There was no way this was her, right? As she snapped her fingers, she summoned a large summoning circle under herself and the enemy. While Jikan did her own attack rather it was earlier or before. Quilla will make sure she was out of the way before doing this of course. Her mind, her mind was cloudy, and it was become more cloudier at each moment.

The area underneath them became a glowing circle once more as if the first one wasn't enough, the second one was definitely not enough and now she will continue more and more till this bitch was dead and gone. She did not want to see her anymore. She was the reason her adoptive father got the idea to sell her. Wasn't it?! It was, it had to be. A lotus of lilac color grew under her and anyone within a large meter distance. Within 20 m/s it exploded underneath them and saw the woman take the hit as she did not expect it.

Her eyes went wide as Quilla's gazed at her while smiling. "Haha, I... I'll kill you," she whispered to the girl as the girl looked at her confused. It was as if she didn't notice this Quilla anymore in comparison to her own Quill in their universe. Tears slowly fell from her eyes as she saw the woman's spear break. It was that easy. It wasn't like any big boss of a person with some overpowered weapon. This woman was nothing but a commander of a lower brand. "It looks like they didn't care about you, like no one did in the past! Like both of us!", she yelled and went towards her to punch her quickly.

As this was going on, knights of the darkness surrounded all of them. Some were watching the battle of their leader and others went for Jin and Jikan. "I will.. get your friends first," the woman grimly spoke as she held her side after being punched on her side. She was weak without her spear. Just like last time. The two girls were punching each other, fighting by fist vs fist. Whatever Jikan and Jin did, she didn't pay attention at all.

The woman revealed her palm and went towards Quilla as a dark circle formed at her hand. Quilla quickly jumped back 10 meters to point and shoot towards her own spell as both of them were forming, her own spell taking a few seconds slower to go due to when they started the spell. "Perhaps, like roses, you shall wither and die...," she whispered and shot a rose that twirled at the woman. The woman's spell was a black stone, shaped as a star that shot at Quilla. Her own spell destroyed the star, destroying each other in the end. Qinx was rather persistent in defeating Quilla, but she wasn't going down easily.

After Jin and Jikan were finished, she saw that Qinx fell onto the ground as blacked mist was devouring the woman. Panting heavily, she chuckled, "I guess it is my time, for now... But I will be back," she whispered in Joyan before disappearing. Slowly, Quilla got herself together, wobbling into standing position to look around. There were knights from Fiore who were dead on the ground, some were hiding and watched the whole thing happen. She gazed towards Jin and carefully walked over to him. Hesitant at first. She knew he was a healer, but she still slashed him with her sword.

"A-are you... Did I hurt you too badly?", she mumbled and looked away shyly. She bit her lower lip as she clenched her hands into fists. What if she accidentally kills him? Like she did 'her'. Her head tilted and looked towards Jikan, wherever they may be positioned. "A-are you alright as well?", she wanted to ask out of genuine politeness. Quilla was no longer the way she was during the fighting as she was back to normal, her eyes topaz as they were before they were pink-red. She started to breathe heavily and collapsed onto the ground from her knees. Her body got caught into exhaustion from the constant fighting and moving.

Her head looked towards Jin, the one she could trust the most, "I wish to rest, may we go somewhere?", she wondered innocently as her doe eyes gazed at him. Her pink hair half covered her face as it was in a complete mess. Hopefully, he answered yes as they will go wherever they wished to go.

Jin was ready to take the blast and stay in range so that he could heal the both of them right after. He signaled for Jikan to leave him there but the familiar warrior had other plans. She approached with an outstretched hand. He thought to evade it or block the attempt but that would probably put her in harm's way too. Instead, he bumbled, and let the woman take him away. "Whoaaa," he called out as she snatched him up. As jin was flying by he cast a quick spell to heal Quilla if needed. They landed in a safe zone from the blast.

"Being a hero...Just what is it you think we're doing out here," he joked as the very act of them being here was playing hero. Jin dusted off his pants. "I can only heal from up close and I don't move very fast at all. It's unfortunate but I kinda need to be in harm's way to heal people." he gave a nervous laugh and scratched the back of his head. It was inconvenient, that everyone seemed to be moving and flying all over the place. Made things harder to deal with.

Jin looked wide-eyed at the magic Jikan cast, "You're a dragon slayer!" People kept getting more and more impressive. Jin eyed the left hand of the woman and dropped a small heal spell as it looked draining of a sort.

"uh,"Jin began but wasn't sure how he wanted to answer Jikan yet. "I keep meeting people plagued by demons and otherworldly forces. Seems she lost it for a bit," Jin said and rubbed his chest. "But that's my girlfriend. She'll be fine." Jin shrugged and kept an eye on her in the midst of battle.

Jin sighed and cast a wave of healing energy that would harm the dark forces coming their way. He swung his hand and the wave of light shifted and washed over the battlefield from one squad to the next. Each hit drained the life away from them and left them tumbling to the ground. The wounds on his chest and body healed completely from the health he stole from them, from light particles floating into his body.

Shortly everything came to an end. Quilla made her way over to the two of them. "Yeah. I'm perfect. Here you go," Jin said tapping his chest that showed no sign of injury now. And then he pointed at Quill and shot a beam of healing energy. It would erupt and heal them all for a little.

"Thanks for fighting with us Jikan. This was a hell of a battle,"
Jin replied knowing that he had just spent the last of his meager mana pool. he brushed the messy pink hair from Quilla's face. "Alright. Let's go relax. And hopefully, I'll stop throwing myself into danger."

Jikan

"Hero? Ah Jin, I expected more than falling into that never ending hole", she said to Jin hearing his jokeful response to her. "That is all fine and well. But, one needs to be, alive, to make a difference when trying to play the role as a hero". Jikan turned towards Jin and Quillareine after she had spoke. A perplexed internal sensation within her. One that grew and grew into a concern for her safety as it seemed that the powerful warrior was truly losing her mind. A fact that was unnerving. A strong opponent was something to enjoy, a strong ally even more. But one that was an unknown factor or flipping coin was just a liability. Funny enough, more of a walking calamity than Jikan ever could be. With Quill hands on her head, shaking as if she was having some psychotic break; tears flowing down her face like rain, a river. "I suppose that is some merit Jin...but. A medic has to be functional to heal. Even if you can treat some wounds during it, if you avoid the blows you can heal more, and better, when it is needed". Jikan said keeping her eyes on Quill still.

And then, Jin offered further information that pretty much explained everything to Jikan. He was focused on healing Quill and more....calm external during this situation with her not because he was trying to play the good guy. Or had some high moral ideology. It was because of love, she was his partner. "Ah. Your girlfriend. Hmmm....explains a lot. Well...I don't know how often this occurs, but I can understand why your so focus on being there now. I hope you're right about her being fine". Jikan said turning towards Jin for a moment at the realization before turning back towards Quill and the chaos around them.

She remained besides Jin, letting her hands grip the borrowed blade in one hand as her other hand was lifted up. Ready to cast magic at any forces that neared them. Alas, she had no need to. Jin unleashed a wave of (painful) healing energy that blew like the wind. Washing over the dark forces, harming them while draining their precious life energy. He swung and shifted the wave much like Jikan did, transporting his magic to one spot then another and another across the battle field as one by one, the tired and injured invaders crumbled and fell. Jin's body gradually healed with each effective use, it was a good thing that there were so many troops for him to drain from.

It was done there it seemed, Quill had finally calmed down, and began to make her way towards them. She watched on as Jin reassured her that he was fine, as good as new. Jikan remained on guard but attempted to let her body appear in a relaxed manner. "Yes. I am fine", she said replying to Quill just as polite. Her eyes then shifted to Jin. "No need to thank me. I am not going to stand by and have people think they can do whatever they like with my world". She then turned, leaving the area as well....and the crazy pair for awhile.
