Details

Description: Senbonzakura is a 1,10m long Katana of visibly Joyan creation, the hilt adorned with a dark purple wrapping.

History: It's said to have belonged to a Joyan Death God, and though this story cannot be proven, neither are there any records of the sword being forged by any mortal swordsmith. It's said to have been crafted by a clan of death gods, with a unique ability developed for the specific use of its original wielder. Due to being crafted to slay evil spirits, it posesses a powerful ability to kill the supernatural, dealing bonus damage to them. In recent years, it's said to have come into the posession of a Minstreli family of Hunters.

Effects

Byakuya: By paying double the mana cost for any of the spells, the user can cause them to home in on their enemies, allowing them to use the spells without occupying one hand.
Shinigami: The damage of the weapon increases by +80 against Vampires, Werewolves, Daemons, Liches and Nephilims.

Effect: The user disperses the sword into a mass of sharp, glimmering pink flower petals made of Mana. These petals flock together and move in streams of razor sharp blades. The actual size of the stream of petals varies depending on the rank of the spell, and can be up to the maximum single target spell size for that rank. This deals rank damage when it hits a target, and can deal damage for multiple turns as long as the user sustains it. If the user wishes, instead of employing a single stream of petals, they can split the spell up in two or four, and so on, down to a minium of D-rank damage per stream. They can control the trajectory of the spell by moving their hand. When this spell is destroyed or cancelled, the sword reforms in the user's hand. Damage dealt to the spell is not reflected on the sword.

If the user wishes, instead of employing a single stream of petals, they can split the spell up in two or four, etc; down to a minium of D-rank damage per stream. Alternatively, they can coalesce all the petals together in a 16 meter wide mass of razor sharp blades spiralling around a fixed location. They can control the trajectory of the spell by moving their hand. When this spell is destroyed or cancelled, the sword reforms in the user's hand. Damage dealt to the spell is not reflected on the sword.
