Yuurei

Yuurei was in his office as he was relaxing with Renji at the desk. He had a lot of time to himself, which was a good thing. Still, now that he was back at home, he was getting back to doing his paperwork. It wasn’t bad and honestly, he missed it. Still, it also meant that he was probably going to work again for those of the north. He didn’t mind that all and he kind of missed it. While he was taking care of the paperwork, it wouldn’t take long, but somebody would knock on the door. He would look over to the door and he would smile because he remembered how it used to be.

“Come on in.” He would say as he would lean on his chair as he waited to see who it was.

The door would open, and it wouldn’t take long, but the person he was expecting would come through the door.

Yuurei

The man would look over to the two people in this room, and he would walk over to his guild master. When he got close enough, he would hand over a piece of paper. The light mage would take the paper from his hand, and he would look at it. He expected this much, but he wasn’t upset with this. He knew that he would be doing these kinds of jobs and now it was a chance to do something he was familiar with doing.

“Thank you for bringing this to me.” He said to the guy in front of him.

He would bow slightly when he heard this before he made his leave out of the office. Yuurei would watch him go as he would look over to the paper and he would read it over. He would smile because it would seem like today, they were going to take on cleaning an entire building today.

Yuurei would stretch his arms into the air as he would lean even further back on his chair. Renji had heard Yuurei speak, so he would open his eyes. If there was someone in his room, then it would mean that they were going to do something today. He would get up from his resting area he would stand up straight and yawn as he would look at Yuurei.

“I guess we have a job to do now?” He asked Yuurei.

“Yeah, which means we’re going to get a lot of money today.” He said to Renji.

The Exceed was happy about that, and he couldn’t wait to get paid.

“Alright let’s go do this job and get money. It shouldn’t be too hard to do if I say so myself.” He said to Yuurei with a smile on his face.

The light mage would get up from his seat and he would wait for Renji to get on his shoulder, so they could be on their way.

Renji would climb Yuurei’s shoulder and now that they were ready, he would make his way to the window. The half-elf would open the window and he would look around before he would jump out. When he did, he would allow his wings to sprout from his back, and he would close the windows behind him. Now that everything was closed and protected, the berserker would start soaring through the sky and toward his destination. He moved quickly as his full speed was nothing to laugh at. There was nobody in the sky to bother him, and he enjoyed the breeze that pushed against him while he moved.

Renji had gotten used to this as he was looking around. It was indeed a nice feeling indeed, one that he could get used to all the time. They knew where they were going as they were heading to Orchidia. It was the home of Sleeping Calamity, which they had taken out without a problem.

Yuurei

The flying wouldn’t take too long as Yuurei didn’t have anybody to stop him along with his travel. It was a nice solitary flight even though he had Renji on him. The light mage would be able to see the city in below him and he decided that it was best to start descending now. They were heading to the apartment area where a lot of the residents stood. They would land on the ground, and Yuurei would disperse his wings as he wasn’t going to bother anybody with his transformation. When he did, he would look around to see if anybody was around.

When he saw that he was clear, the light mage would start walking in the direction where there were more people. He was moving with Renji climbing down his shoulder. It wouldn’t take long, but the Exceed would be on the ground now as he was walking alongside Yuurei.

Yuurei

Soon enough, they would see a lot of people walking around the area they went into. They would see the duo, and since they knew about Yuurei, spotted him immediately. They were quick to wave at him as they were happy to see him. The light mage would do the same thing as he was happy to see that they were positive about him being around. He kept moving through the streets of Orchidia until he made his way into the district, he was supposed to be in. His next objective was to find the right building that he needed to clear out.

He just followed the directions that were on the sheet of paper, and he would soon find somebody next to a building. It looked like they were waiting for someone to appear, which brought Yuurei to believe that he was waiting for him. The two of them would walk over to the man without hesitation and hopefully, this was their client.

When they got close to the potential client, they would come to a stop as they looked over at him with a smile. The man would look over at the two of them, and he would shake his head. He had returned to reality, and he would see that one of these guys was Yuurei. He was glad to see that the man he had requested and arrived. He had troubles that needed going away and he had found his solution. He would walk over to them, and he would look at the real to make sure he was not mistaken.

“You have finally arrived. This is good, and I’m glad that you guys have arrived. I need help with this building. I got a bunch of rats in there, and I can’t start renovating this building until I get rid of them all. Then people can move in with new homes to enjoy.” He said to Yuurei and Renji.

Yuurei

Yuurei would hear his words and he would chuckle a bit. The light mage would shake his head as he knew what to say to him.

“You don’t have to worry about the rats. I will take care of them. I just need you to stay right here and wait for us. The thing is in the end, you’re going to need someone to close the hole in your building. If there are rats there, then that means there is a hole where they were coming from.” He said to the man as he paused for a second.

“You will also need someone to clean the place as well. That means I say get someone to clean the place as well.” He said to their client.

The client would hear this and he would nod as if he was happy to hear that. He was glad that he had him here. Yuurei would look over to Renji and the Exceed would smile as he knew what that meant.

They would start walking toward the door of the building and he would open the door. When that happen the two of them would enter the building and they would look around to see which way they would go. The Nephilim would sigh for a bit as he would take one of the tools and he would raise it over his head. When he did that, a woman would be summoned in front of him, and he would see Galatea in front of him. She would look over to Yuurei with a smile on her face. She looked around to see where they were, and when she saw they were in a building she figured they were going to kill something here.

“Why did you summon me Yuurei?” She asked him.

“I figured we’d go and kill some rats. You being here would make it easier.” He said to her with a serious expression on his face.

She would nod as she was fine with that and just wanted a reason for why she was here. Still, now that they were ready to fight, the cape would move around as it was looking around to make sure Yuurei wouldn’t be attacked by surprise.

“Hey Renji, give me my items. Also, I think we should stay together since this place is bigger than the shops.” He said to Renji.

The Exceed would hand over Yuurei’s items and the man would be fully equipped now. Now that this was done, Yuurei would walk over to the room on his left as the rest of them would follow. When they got to the next room, they would see that there weren’t any rats in this spot. Renji would look around this room and he would find some valuable stuff for their clients. When the Exceed was done, they would move toward the next area to see if they could find rats.

When they made it to the next room, they would smell the rats there. It freaking stunk here and at the same time, they would see a bunch of rats here. Galatea was ready for the fight, and they would stare down at the rats. That was when the rats took notice of them, and they would start rushing straight toward the three of them. Renji would run into the other room, and the two that remained would start making their moves. They would both split from each other, which would also bring the rats to split from each other.

The two of them would start fighting against the rats. Yuurei would dodge the attacks of the rats as they were trying their best to get a meal out of him. Of course, the light mage would strike down the rats that would attack him, and they would fall down without struggling or even getting back up.

Galatea would move strategically through the room, and whenever a rat had attacked her, she would dodge their attack. She would use her right leg to pivot herself as she would counter it with a slash of her own. The blade would cut them down without a problem. She would move throughout the room as the rats continued to attack her. She would do her best, and this would bring her to kill the rats that were trying to attack her. While she was doing this Yuurei would do the same thing as he was just knocking them to the ground.

The two of them would look at each other as they were done with their fight in this room. Renji would hear the commotion stop, and he would come into this room to see that everything was done. The Exceed would look around the area and he would find some stuff for the client.

The trio would continue moving through the building. They were looking around and Renji was doing his best to collect everything that he could. It wasn’t just that, but the group would find a bunch of rats in this place. They would take out all the rats that they could find without a problem. Their teamwork was flawless, and it would allow Yuurei to learn more about their teamwork. This was good because it meant that they were going to be able to do more later.

The berserker was done with this place, but now they were going to have to do another thing. They were going to have to search for the hole the rats were coming from. The trio would continue to move through the building together as they didn’t want to be caught by any leftover rats. It wouldn’t take long, but the group would find the hole that they were looking for.

Now that they found the hole, they were moving through buildings until they found something they could cover the hole. The light mage would pick it up with ease, and he would move to the place with the hole on the wall. When he got there, he would close up the hole temporarily and he knew that his client was going to have to close it permanently.

Now that they were done with this it was time to go to their client and tell them everything that happen. Yuurei would walk out of the building with Galatea and Renji, and their client would look at them confused. Yuurei would explain everything, and the client was glad to hear it. Renji would release all the items that were in his bag. The client was surprised about this, but he was happy. He would hand over their rewards and they were happy enough with it. The group would leave the client and they were happy with the money they had earned. They would go home, so that way Yuurei could make food for Renji and even Galatea.
