It's time to duel [Ragnar] Empty Wed Apr 13, 2022 5:43 pm

Mishiko

She looked at Suzaku as she was getting into her dresser to get her some clothes. She was going to drop her off at some daycare. The last thing Quilla wanted to do was to take her on a mission with Ragnar. Not that she didn't like her job fully, but the things she has been semi-forced to do were not favored by her at all. She looked at the light blue eyes as they looked at hers. She gave a small smile as she petted her hair, "Got your bag?", Quilla questioned her. She nodded enthused about meeting other kids who may or may not be like her.

Different.

After she was ready they left the room and went towards the living room where they will find Ragnar waiting. "We should get going since we have to drop her off," she insisted as they grabbed what they needed and left the hotel. First it was the daycare downstairs at the playground and then the area they needed to go.

Ragnar was getting ready, putting his armor on but he couldn't help but look at his face in the mirror. His entire facial structure appeared to have changed from the make over him and Suzaku had done but he could clearly still see the old him inside of there. Maybe it was because of his shorter hair then it was before, though it was still pretty long by normal standards of men. Either way, Ragnar finished putting on his helmet, locking it into place.

Ragnar left, fully armed and armored as per his normal set up for a mission, and he waited until Quilla and Suzaku walked out. They had to drop her off at the daycare she was going to be staying at while they did their missions. Ragnar couldn't help but agree given how they were most likely going off to murder someone or something horribly. Well either way Ragnar walked with Quill and Suzaku to the daycare and before they went in, Ragnar knelled down to look Suzaku in the eye,  through his helmet before saying " Have a good time, try and make friends.. and if any of them make fun of you I will murder them and their entire family. "

Ragnar was only half joking... well maybe a quarter joking. Ok like one eighth joking. The more Ragnar thought about it the less he was joking so he simply stood up, said goodbye to his niece and then left with Quill.

She walked with Suzaku and Ragnar as she was enjoying the weather of a sunny day. Her pink hair was flipped with her right hand was she then itched the side of it. Once they were there, she listened to Ragnar say his words, making her sigh and moving on. "Have a nice day and if anyone gives you trouble, let me know, ~" she coolly spoke and went on to her mission as she had things to do.

They started to go forward and go to the outskirts of Baska where they were to meet Cain. "Don't tell her that in front of people," she commented and then went back to silence. Once they got to the outskirts, she saw Cain there waiting for the both of them as he then started to explain everything. The 'last line of defense'. It seemed that they were going to have some powerful undead knights fighting at their side for some reason.

As Ragnar and Quill walked away, he smiled back and waved to his niece as he was like " I am the best uncle in the world! " and then he heard what Quill said before responding with " Your presence there is enough to basically say the same thing. Your face along with what you are is burned into most people's mind at this point. As far as I am concerned, you saying what you said basically said the exact same thing... and I am sure all the other parents would see it that way as well. "

Ragnar had a point, Quill at this point was reaching the levels of that people might start making a fucking wide berth around her in the street soon. Even if she wasn't wanted by the law, everyone knew that she was an infamous person.  Once they arrived at Cain's place he heard what he was requesting, and Ragnar nodded before saying " Well it looks like to me that you don't need our help. We should see how the knights do before we get involved. Might save you some money if we don't have to get involved. "

Ragnar then moved towards the door and jumped up, grabbing a ledge before throwing himself more up and eventually reaching a place high enough up that no one should go looking for someone of his size there. He leaned against the wall as he watched the door and simply waited. Eventually the Rune Knights should show up and if they were having issues then Ragnar would step in.

She stretched and yawned as they continued to walk and once, they listened to it all she finally spoke up, "You think so? I feel like I'm still some unknown X rank who came out of nowhere in Fiore. Champion of Fiore," she referenced some game she liked as she was teaching Suzaku some games as well. Her eyes watched Ragnar go up a ledge and get to a high place to keep watch. She decided to hide beyond the shadows as she will watch from the bottom area. She was keen in doing so as high places were rather unfortunate for her own mentality.

Her eyes watched quietly as she waited for the knights. She wanted to watch it all go down from down here as Ragnar will see a different point of view from above. As time flew by she saw the Rune Knights arrive to fight the undead which slowly became in the Rune Knight's favor. She wanted to watch a little more as some rune knights were taken down, but not as much as the undead ones. Continuing from watching in the shadows she gripped her sword tightly as she was waiting for the go. As soon as a few more went down she got up and took out her blade. She went forward towards a few Rune Knights as they were distracted by the undead. Was this possibly going to be too easy? She felt like this was child's play in comparison to what she has been doing.

She was swinging her sword and clashing blades with a few knights as sparks could be seen from the metal hitting the other hard. Her eyes still looked calm and cold, like her facial expression. There was nothing for now that could make her feel otherwise.

Ragnar laughed at her joke before saying outloud " There are no unknown X ranks, by definition of being an X rank you should powerful enough to destroy some armies by yourself and you know it as well as I do. "

While Ragnar went into the rafters in order to hide himself as he kinda assumed no shadow would be big enough to hide him fully he saw Quill run off into the shadows and hide there. Well that would be more useful to have her down there as well in case something goes very very wrong. And it went wrong very quickly, which luckily for Ragnar he was there to deal with as more of these knights went down then the massive squad of Rune Knights they brought in.

Ragnar looked down at the entrance to see a Mage walk in and start to cast a large spell, it was red in color and Ragnar made an assumption that this was the time to stop that man. Ragnar jumped down, landing behind the man, though in no way shape or form in a stealthy manner. As the Rune Knight mage turned to look to see what had appeared his eyes went wide as his mouth opened to let out a scream. The scream never came as a hammer slammed into his side, shattering his spine, ribs and hip bone in a single swing. His limp body went flying into the wall, splattering against the wall with a wet slap. His body would have normally gone flying 30 feet but the walls here were apparently strong enough to hold the blow.

That was when the squad realized that they were not only fighting the Skeleton Knights, but also Quill, someone they most likely already knew exactly who she was and now this random red armored guy that had murdered their mage in a single hit. Acouple of the Rune knights turned to face Ragnar and began fighting. These guys were decent fighters all things considered, but they weren't good enough to fight Ragnar as he slammed his hammer into them, sending their limp bodies flying into their allies before following up with another kick or punch. The numbers were going down quickly, and it appeared that their squad commander knew that as he turned towards a window and simply ran through it.

As the glass shattered and the man started running, Ragnar looked and couldn't help but close his eyes and sigh, which caught him a mace strike to his helmet. Which while it held, didn't make Ragnar a very happy man. The Rune Knight that hit him with his mace soon became another painting on the wall. " Go get the commander before he calls in reinforcements! These assholes are enough trouble as it is! "

She watched as Ragnar joined into the fight as he took care of his own crowd of Rune Knights. She didn't care about Rune Knights much as they knew what they were getting into when they came here. Death was an option for them, they weren't defenseless as they mercilessly attacked as her and Ragnar did back. This made a sweat on her brow as she killed to the point of domination. Her eyes were becoming a blood red as her expressionless face became more menacing till she heard Ragnar speak to her as she slayed another man down. Her face quickly snapped out of the transformation before Ragnar could even see it.

She took a deep breather as she then looked towards where the Leader was running off to. Quickly, Quilla nodded her head and stopped what she was doing to run after the leader before he could call for more men. It wasn't going to be too late for her, no, too late for him. She ran after him after putting her sword on the belt against her waist that also had her black and golden bag. Her pink hair flowed behind her as she ran for him. He and Quilla were far enough away that Ragnar could no longer see the pink haired maiden.

Ragnar saw that Quill ran off to go stop the Rune knight leader from going too much farther which only left Ragnar here with six more Rune Knights that appeared to be very upset with him. Couldn't imagine why that would be the case. As Ragnar looked at them he held out his hands for a moment and said simply " Listen guys.. if you just put down your weapons and just take a knee, we can all go home tonight and see our wives, girlfriends or boyfriends. Whatever you happen to be into, I don't judge at all. "

Ragnar looked at all the men in the line at this point and he had kinda hoped that they would agree to his terms. Ragnar was trying to be a nice guy here, and not murder them, but apparently they didn't agree as three of them attempted to break off to go capture Cain while the rest tried to keep Ragnar busy. Sadly for them, Ragnar wasn't going to let that happen as he moved towards one of them at lunge speed, moving through him as he barrelled over the Rune Knight, before slapping one of the three going to get Cain with a hammer blow. This killed that man instantly, and that is when Ragnar got hit in the back from a blow and the pounding started.

Luckily for Ragnar, he brought his armor with him otherwise he would be dead several times over right now. Ragnar threw his hands to the side, clipping one and sending him flying through the air and killing him instantly. It became more of the same as Ragnar threw arms, elbows, knees and hammer blows out around him and anyone unlucky enough to catch even part of a hit was sent flying into the distance, most likely dead or not able to quickly get back to the fight and that was all that Ragnar needed.

Eventually Ragnar did managed to beat the six Rune Knight, but not before taking some damage to himself. Once they were all dead, Ragnar sighed loudly before dragging their bodies into the center of the room and making himself a makeshift chair as he relaxed until Quill got back. He had no reason to think that she couldn't handle one leader, no matter how strong he may or may not be.

She chased after the leader and once she got close enough to finger banged towards the leader and shot his legs, "Shall the flower thorn your swiftness," she heaved in her heavy breathing since she was running while doing this. There was no stopping as the leader was hit in the leg. He tripped on their own feet as he fell right onto his face. She slowly approached him as she had her sword in her hand. There was no mercy and she needed the money now to support Suzaku. She will be her goal after her family is completed.

"Shall my faith forgive me for you shall be executed," she whispers in prayer to her gods and goddesses. Her eyes glitched red as she slammed the sword down onto his chest as he couldn't move. She watched as the man breathed their last dying breath before taking him by dragging his body. Once they got to Cain, they were rewarded and the two moved onto the next quest.

Ragnar sat on the pile of corpses, by the time Quill had gotten back he was now relaxed and he saw that she had brought back the body of the Rune Knight Leader. Well clearly she had managed to deal with that problem well enough as he expected. Standing up, he went over to Cain and said " Well that got taken care of, you should be more careful of where you do your work because the next time you might not be able to afford us to dig you out of the grave you were about to be buried in. " Cain apparently agreed as he handed Ragnar and Quill their money and they left.

Ragnar was getting really tired of having his shit getting broken but he didn't really have a choice, maybe he was just getting sloppy with time and just didn't care about this own safety. As long as it didn't kill him, who really cares if he took some damage. Was he changing into someone else? He thought back to his younger self and realized that there was very little chance the old Ragnar would have taken those shots he did. He would have done various things differently, including letting the Rune Knight Capture the client for a second before killing the Rune Knights just so he didn't have to fight as many.

" He cares not from where the blood flows, as long as it flows. " a voice in Ragnar's head told him, and he knew that might be the reason why Ragnar was only getting more and more reckless. Maybe he would have to look at himself more to make sure he didn't die... or just get stronger.
