Haru Akagi
The neko and her companions would find themselves passing by a familiar apartment complex as they finished collecting their payment from their last job. The familiar scent of baked goods wafting through the air. Rynah must have been baking again, a worrisome thought. The last time they had been here they'd helped care for her for the day, and she'd forgotten about the cookies by the time they finished baking.

"I think we should go check on Rynah." Haru muttered absentmindedly, as she stared up towards the woman's apartment window. If she had been cooking, there was a chance that even if she'd taken the baked goods out, she may have left it on. Which could easily cause a fire and burn down not only the woman's home but the entire complex if they weren't quick enough to respond. Without waiting for a response from the light mage or Renji, the demi-human would begin climbing up the stairs to where Rynah resides, to find the elderly woman's front door left wide open.

Yuurei

Yuurei was walking with Haru as he was glad that they were getting paid a lot in one day. The jobs were small, easy, but paid well. While they were moving through the apartment complex that they have been to before, they would smell baked cookies. This was familiar, and he would turn to Haru as she would mention Rynah. He nodded as this was here baking, and then remembered that this was the woman who had forgotten stuff.

The light mage would follow behind Haru and he would make his way to Rynah’s house. With the door open he would look inside just to see Rynah who waved for them to come inside. Yuurei would nod as he would peek inside the kitchen to make sure the oven was off, and he would sigh with relief to see that it was. Still, now since they were here, they would be getting some tea from the old woman. It would be rude to leave after she decided to get them that.

Haru helped the elderly woman as she potted about, preparing the tea. At one point, the demi-human quickly slipped the tea cosy on the kettle and offered to carry and pour the tea so Rynah wouldn't accidentally burn herself. As they began to chat over some hot tea, Rynah would ask about the two of them. Haru kept her story brief, glazing over many details. Upon finishing the demi-human would ask the elderly lady about her life. Rynah was quick to oblige, as she began reminiscing about her life and how she had raised her son, Mitra. It brought a smile to Haru's face to hear how close she was with her child, she sounded like a wonderful mother.

However, soon enough Rynah would start bawling her eyes out. Concerned Haru would move to slowly rub small circles on her back, and speak gently, asking her what was wrong. They'd learn things were not going so great between her son and herself right now. Apparently, they'd had a couple of arguments as of late about sending her to a retirement home, and that it felt like he didn't want her around his home anymore. After calming her down, the demi-human agreed that they would help her write him a heart-filled letter explaining her feelings and grievances. Promising to send Yuurei and Renji to deliver it as soon as they were done.

Yuurei

Yuurei was not fond of tea as it was a reminder of his past, but he wasn’t going to say no to drinking it. The old lady had prepared for him so he figured he would suck it up and drink. While everything was going on, he would tell Rynah about his life but did his best to keep a lot of it out of the conversation. He didn’t think she needed to worry about him or anything like that. Still, hearing about her story made him feel bad, but only towards the end.

It was soon that they were helping her out with the letter that she wanted to write to her son. Once they were done with it, Yuurei and Renji would take the letter straight to Mitya as she told them where they could find him. It wouldn’t take long for them to get there, and when they arrived, they would hand him the letter.

He watched as the man would read the letter and soon after he would find himself crying and rushing out of his job and on his way to his house. Yuurei would follow him, and they would soon make it back to Rynah’s house.

Haru remained with Rynah to comfort her while the two males rushed off to deliver the letter. They didn't have to wait too long until her son came bursting through the front door, tears streaming down his face as well. Haru stepped aside, letting the two family members talk things out and explain their feelings. It had all stemmed from a misunderstanding. Mitya loved having her live in the apartments, but he was worried for her when he wasn't around, as she was growing ever more forgetful in her age. If she were to enter a retirement home it would give him peace of mind that there was always someone there for her.

Haru had to wipe a tear away from her own cheek, being sure to hide it from the light mage and Renji. It was just such a touching moment to see them reconcile. Upon realising the trio were still in the apartment with them Mitya would move over to thank them all for helping them both, even going so far as to pay them for their time. Haru left with a happy step in her stride, glad she could help a family resolve their little misunderstanding.

Yuurei

Yuurei would watch as the two of them would start crying and talking to each other. It would seem like they were understanding each other. He would smile when he saw this and while this was going on, he would let out a few tears. He wished he could have that with his parents, but he still never properly met them. Still, it gave him a new goal to get stronger and find out where the monster had gone. While he was thinking about this, it would seem like Rynah would notice they were still here and would hand them cookies. She had even gone far enough to pay them again for their help. Yuurei would take it, but felt bad, but knew it was disrespectful to deny the money of someone older.

Still, now that they were done, they were able to leave and continue moving through town to see who needed their help around here.
