Jikan

It had been some time now since Jikan had been in Sleeping Calamity. The intro to the groups existence was certainly fitting its name of 'Calamity' with how it started. It was, anything but dormant or docile like the word sleeping would make one think though. But that was in the past, at least for now. But even though she was distant and not yet connected to anyone in Sleeping Calamity; as a person who was there for its creation and as a founder, she did wonder on how all of its members were doing? How long till the had an eventual big meeting again or get together? Time would tell.

For Jikan had been in Samhain for a few days now. For the very first time, it was a wonder that in all of her years of travel, she had not know this place had existed, let alone heard of it. And here she was. Up in room 94. She had some things here to entertain herself with. A little too much for one person. She had no idea why she got this many items, it was not like she was expecting anyone to show up or know where she was.

"Oh drats I forgot the wine!!", Jikan bolted off. Hurrying to try and find some red wine...without blood mixed in it.

Hassan

Much to Hassan's pleasure, it had been a while since sleeping calamity had been brought together. As a matter of fact, Hassan on;y ran into bits and pieces of the group, a member here and there. This would be the first time for Hassan that he managed to get a chance to meet the rest of the members as a whole, or dun into the members that he didn't get a chance to meet from before. In a way, Hassan was rather excited, he wondered how the rest of the guild members were like. If there was anything else that Hassan would have figured from the rest of the members, he was pretty sure that they were powerful individuals in their own right that were only going to get stronger.

For room 94, Hassan brought it upon himself to bring a bunch of snacks for them to munch on as they talked. Staying in oak, they were pretty big on the next big thing in terms of popularity, and the trends always caught the eyes of the smugglers. That benefited Hassan in knowing what the best snacks were, or in this case, what was in high demand.

"Comrades! I have arrived!!"

Hassan entering room 94 and plopping down a few snacks down on a nearby couch. He looked at Jikan and nodded, the first time he saw her.

"Are the others here yet?"

Decima
Calamity had called, rousing its members from individual dreams of glory and power.

From the East the demi-human had answered the invitation. Given the strange nature of the town they’d be meeting in, Nadine figured this would be a social call and she was fine with that. The pursuit of individual strength was not limited to solitude, after all. Meeting the rest of her guildmates would surely be an interesting event in itself as well. She had little trouble in picking out a suitable offering to bring as the ever outlandish city of Hosenka was rife with such luxuries.

The yellow sake gourd she carried was unusually large, passing four feet in height. The bottom spherical chamber of the vessel was three feet in diameter at its widest point, and the upper chamber was a little more than half that measurement. Vibrant red wax sealed the large plug jammed into the gourd’s neck, and a thick red rope wound several times around the gourd’s midsection. It was with this that Nadine effortlessly carried the container at her side, not at all bothered by the weight of the alcohol sloshing around unseen.

Nadine could already smell food in room ninety-four by the time she reached the door. As she let herself in, her golden eyes first caught sight of the red haired woman. Nadine didn’t need her special sight to know who Jikan was. Their gang of misfits was small enough to know most members, let alone the guild founders, by their physical appearance alone.

“Jikan, it’s a pleasure,” she said with a friendly tone and nod. As she was setting the sake gourd down next to a table of other treats Nadine’s gaze roamed to her other guild member, Hassan. Remembering their shared adventure in the streets of Sachsia the woman couldn’t help the easygoing smile that tugged at her lips. She also remembered what they had discussed.

“You too, killer.”

Ikazuchi
Ikazuchi had just arrived and was making his way through Samhain when he happened to catch wind of a member of a guild known as Sleeping Calamity staying in the tower. This piqued his interest because the young man could be considered a member of the guild currently due to their unique recruitment practices. It was something very different compared to the guilds that he had been a part of previously.

Ikazuchi had been a member of Sentinel Syndicate during its final days due to Ezekiel’s guild merging into it during his absence. It was somewhat of a technicality, but the young man acknowledged his prior affiliations regardless. After that he had nearly joined a guild that would have been known as Crawling Chaos that collapsed before it could truly form. The main difference between these guilds and his current one was the fact that a certain level of management was required to allow him entrance to the guild.

This wasn’t the case for Sleeping Calamity. Ikazuchi had simply expressed his desire through the appropriate channels and was able to gain the guild tattoo and join with ease. The lack of restrictions, general freedom, and overall goal to pursue strength made the guild ideal for him. Unfortunately, it was only now that he was encountering others who claimed to be members of his guild. ‘I’ll check it out.’ This was what he thought as he made his way up the tower towards room ninety-four. Each step closer to the room caused his curiosity to grow about those he would call his Guildmates.

Once Ikazuchi arrived in front of the room, he would simply knock twice before checking if the door was unlocked and attempting to enter. He was pleasantly surprised to find that the door was unlocked, and entered it freely after discovering this fact. ‘They probably won’t care, right?’ Even if they did, at worst Ikazuchi would get a chance to fight so any outcome would be welcome for the Swordsman.

What greeted Ikazuchi after entering was not a single individual like he expected, but instead three that were all affiliated with Sleeping Calamity. He was perplexed by what he saw, particularly the familiar face among them. ‘I didn’t expect to see her here.’ Ikazuchi’s attention turned from Jikan towards Nadine and Hassan as he closely observed them. “Am I...interrupting? Or should I have brought something?” Ikazuchi couldn’t help but ask this as he noticed the various food and drink items that were present. He had arrived intending to meet a Guildmate, but it seemed that they were having some sort of party.

Noticing some of the local specialties, Ikazuchi couldn’t help but have his grip tighten on the bag that he held over his right shoulder as he had learned his lesson last year. Not everything was normal, so he remembered to bring supplies from outside of Samhain in order to not go hungry once again. ‘If they want me to share, then I will just leave…’ This was his last thought as he waited for someone to respond to his question.

Lucretia didn’t really know what Sleeping calamity was about nor what the members of it really did. All that she did know is that Jikan invited her to a gathering including her companions. The two had fought most certainly and anyone that sparred in a friendly fashion with lucretia was someone that she could rely on or call a friend. That being said it wasn’t too far out of the ballpark for her to make friends with people that she either shouldn’t or maybe she should have done a little more research on it.

But Samhain felt like a place where Lucretia should relax a little bit; the constant activities and members meeting one another made it feel like Lucretia should be a bit more open minded. Which had also prompted her to switch classes, equipment and such to match her new magic. A type that she couldn’t wait to show off to various people. It wasn’t difficult per say but it would make for a good party trick.

With it being a get together the woman figured that she might want to bring something along, but unable to really settle on a food she was left wondering if she should bring something else. The merchants had been quite friendly and eventually just helped her settle on a keg of iceberg mead. Something that wouldn’t break her wallet; though they also did press for her to take some of their racks of boar ribs. She’d buy one or two of those for later, if this went into a venue of a party but if not that just meant she could dry out the meat later for herself.

The woman paused as she could tell the myriad of scents apart from one another in the lobby; most were unfamiliar but there was one that stood above all else. The werewolves' nose twitched and she’d look around. Even her friend nadine had been here? Somewhat recent too. But it was mixed with the others to the point that pinpointing her here would be impossible unless she got closer.

Finding out where the room that Jikan stayed in wouldn’t be difficult; explaining that she was a friend and having to wait till she was told. Padding her way up the stairs and passing by a few gaggles of individuals. All looking like they were from different areas. Such a wide variety of people…

Up until she got to the floor that held the room; it was mostly quiet. But she could hear a few exchanged words. Maybe there were others that jikan invited or maybe they just had some friends that were staying with them. Knocking on the door with her right hand as the other was busy holding the food and drink… Lucretia would push open the door; figuring it unlocked.

....Huh. Okay I wasn’t expecting this at all.

She recognized three of the four people here. Nadine was the one she was most familiar with, following after that would be equally hassan and jikan. Whom the latter of those three she actually knew the name of. She had fought alongside Hassand and Nadine before in defense of another countries city. But the last individual she didn’t know at all, his face wasn’t familiar nor any of the scents associated with him. The woman set down her keg and would let those two racks sit ontop of it.

I swear this world is either ridiculously small Nadine or we just have obscene luck to run into one another… Jikan I know, but I don’t think I caught your name before; then again fighting Kaiju’s doesn’t really leave room for introductions does it? Lucretia Wolfenstein at your service.

The woman grinned and offered her hand to hassan for a hearty shake; her gaze eventually turned to Ikazuchi. Her smile didn’t falter and she’d do the same to him; figuring that he was probably friends with the other three. Or at least associated in some manner.

Don’t think I’ve met you before either.

Jikan

Jikan was in mid action as she realized her error. The prep for having items ready for her relation in this wide and massive room was always ready, she had her drinks; water, some soda...a little bit of wine and beer if she felt like having some; music to play and be a little festive, she had food...more dessert than real food though. Cookies, brownies, some breads that were a little sweet with dashes of sea salt on them. Oh she was looking to eat. And then the reality hit here. She had no real real food. NO PROTEIN. Just carbs and sugar, no fats or anything of real nutritional substance...besides some few meager fruits. But who could really only eat that for relaxation? And so she was going to go out to get meat, maybe call the tower front to get something brought up.

And then some unexpected things happened. Outside the room of 94, the door; there was someone unknown preparing to enter. Jikan had exited the previous room she was in and in the wide door she exited, only to be stopped by the sight of a man outside who entered with some energy. Stating that they had arrived calling people comrades. He looked at her before asking if the others had arrived yet.

Jikan reverted herself, she was getting lose and hungry from her need of food and planned relaxation. But when the man suddenly coming out and entering her, well, she had to be on guard. She had her weapons always on her thankfully, given that it was her arms and legs, she had no need for swords or axes, they aided her but she was fine by herself.

Who were the others? Who were the comrades that he refereed to? She...did not recognize the man at all. But given that he nodded at her at a form of greeting, he had to know her somehow. "That depends, who are the others you are talking about? Who, are you?".

This was an awkward timing. Given that she had just sent a call out to the front desk, sending a request for meat and to put it on to Jikan's tab.

"Well...go ahead and take a seat. Get comfortable while I...", another one showed up within seconds after, this one was a demi human by the look. Female, half crocodile. Green skinned and lavished, sharp teeth. But this one too, surprised Jikan with their familiarity with her. And with each other. She noted that and other things, of how she called Jikan by her name, another person she did not know though. She had not been a sleeping calamity meber for long now, and had not really done anything to spread her name. So how did this person...both of them, know her? She thought to herself, precarious...perhaps....

A knock on the door...and yet another face. But this one finally known by the red black haired warrior, even though only by a little. Ikazuchi. "No...I would  not say you are interrupting anything Ikazuchi. In fact, perfect timing". She pointed a finger at each of them one by one in the order that they came in. "If each of you would not mind. How about you all do me a favor, and reveal your guild tattoos?".

She sinced magic in these people, and Ikazuchi at least had something magic wise, mana in him, even though he was a physical fighter. However...given that she was not expecting guests, and three people showed up to her. Jikan was ready to have a fight but she would not show that on the outside. However, that seemed to be what came with being a Sleeping Calamity member, even more so found the founders of guild master.

She did expect one person now that she thought about it. Lucretia. A female werewolf that Jikan ran into a few days ago in what they would later know as the void. After a spar, they got to introduce each other and found a successful way out. Jikan had invited her to hangout in a few days, but with the planning she had forgotten it was this day. Oh well, the werewolf had more people to interact with today then...an maybe help Jikan if she indeed was getting jumped.

She came in with her chipper attiude as always. And with meat! Thank the heavens.

"Ah Lucretia, thanks for coming....and bringing meat", Jikan said the last part with a whisper to herself. Lucreita unknowingly help Jikan with an issue she was trying to resolve. "Oh...this is interesting, you know these two people here?".

Hassan

With everyone arriving, there seemed to be a different person each time. Some people Hassan met in other circumstances, and others that Hassan managed to work with. However, Hassan seemed to have jumped the gun and wanted to make some things clear. Showing his symbol, he confirmed his relationship with the guild in order to give Jikan some peace of mind.

"Sorry for not identifying myself before. I bought snacks and another sort of food as a peace offering. Some are spiced stuffed buns, they are food in protein with either chicken or beef. Some salty snacks as well, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. "

After that, Nadine entered. Hassan would greet her with the same energy he greeted Jikan with. "Welcome to the gathering, it looks like we are arriving at the same time. " With Ikazuchi arriving and asking if he needed to bring something, Hassan just shook his head. "This was basically out of circumstance and habit. In my home country, we never enter someone's abode empty-handed. We also never enter with our shoes on, but that's another matter. Either way, please, eat and enjoy yourself. "

When it comes to Lucretia, Hassan accepted the handshake.

"It looks like you are from a different guild. However, you fought bravely against the Kaiju. Regardless of the stigmatism of how certain guilds fly under the radar, Sleeping Calamity has its honor. We don't prey on the weak, and we welcome the strong. It is an honor to have you attend our gathering. "

Jikan didn’t seem as enthusiastic about Nadine’s arrival as Hassan did, but the demi-human merely assumed the other woman’s personality was a little more reserved. She nodded in affirmation of the man’s greeting, glad to see that he too had made it back to Fiore in one piece. As they exchanged pleasantries a knocking could be heard at the front door before another person walked inside. Her head turned towards the young man as the others addressed his question. Nadine’s gaze would linger on him curiously until Jikan spoke up to get all of their attention.

The request to see their guild tattoos made sense since this was the first time Nadine would be meeting anyone other than Hassan. She also considered that she had only heard of Sleeping Calamity initially through contacts in the black market while in the East, so discretion would be prudent. Having no reason to refuse Nadine opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue, revealing the green symbol magically painted onto it.

Her tongue receded back into her mouth when she heard a familiar voice call out to her from behind. She turned back towards the entrance to stare back at Lucretia with a bit of surprise in her expression. The werewolf was not a guildmate as far as Nadine knew, and her special sight showed other faces as far as the Icebergian’s allies went.

“Luck or fate, I see you came prepared, Lucretia.” The demi-human chuckled as her gaze dropped to the items her friend had brought with her. Nadine was mildly worried about her valorous friend being around her calamitous allies, but somehow things seemed to work themselves out. Lucretia already knew two others here, and Hassan seemed to be rolling out the welcome mat for her. It eased a bit of the tension Nadine felt, but she still hoped to avoid talking about work related affairs altogether.

“Don’t mind if I do,” spoke the woman casually as she moved around Lucretia and the men before picking up the keg with the large racks of ribs on top of it. As the rest did their meet and greet she’d set the items down next to the rest of the food and drinks. She wouldn’t start digging into things proper until everyone was settled, but then the snacks Hassan had brought caught her eye.

Nadine moved and sat on the armrest of the couch facing forward, and then leaned over to grab a bag of jerky. She didn’t know where it was from, as the label was in a foreign language, but upon tearing the bag open she was greeted with a promising smell of spices. Content to snack and observe unless called upon, Nadine pleasantly enjoyed her appetizer.

#9Ikazuchi

Wild Wild Calamity [Open to SC + Lucretia] Empty Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:22 am

Ikazuchi
Ikazuchi didn’t hesitate to turn his left arm and display the black Guild Tattoo clearly on his uncovered left forearm after Jikan's greeting and request. He silently did this for a moment as he confirmed that anyone interested in his identity had observed his tattoo. Hassan was the first person to speak to him after this brief interaction between fellow guildmates. The man actively addressed his previous question providing Ikazuchi a certain amount of relief as he wouldn’t be faulted for arriving empty handed to this unannounced party.

Lucretia arrived shortly after he had during the time that Hassan was speaking to him. Jikan seemed to know this individual as they had immediately greeted her. As for Nadine, they were actually the first person addressed by Lucretia. ‘Seems like I’m the odd one out.’ Ikazuchi couldn’t help but think that as he realized that most of the people present could be considered strangers.

Ikazuchi took note of the fact that the woman known as Lucretia was affiliated with another guild as she addressed him. He had sat his bag to the side against the wall moments before, so he was able to comfortably return the handshake as he spoke. “I’m Ikazuchi.” He paused slightly and had his gaze shift over Hassan and Nadine who were nearby as he continued. “It’s nice to meet you all.

After the handshake Ikazuchi moved to a spot that would allow him to comfortably stand for the time being. He was surrounded by strangers, so he couldn’t easily lower his guard now that the situation had suddenly transformed into a party. This was particularly the case when he considered that among those present, he only barely knew Jikan while everyone else seemed to be acquainted. Out of habit Ikazuchi took the role of a silent observer as he appraised the capabilities of each individual present. He would speak if spoken to, but at this moment he simply intended to listen to Lucretia’s response to Jikan’s question.

Given the fact of things, she was uncertain of how everyone here knew each other; she didn’t have a clue about the guild they were in and it wasn’t really that important to her. If they were a band that worked together that was fine. Plenty of people were in clans or groups or guilds. This time would be no different. Grinning ear to ear she’d pat the food she had brought along; not speaking out when nadine decided to take the food and keg from her.

Oh Yeah I met Nadine a while ago, we’ve done some traveling together and a mission with one another. Though it’s been a bit since our time in the north. She’s also the one that found out with me that I’m a werewolf.

Lucretia chuckled softly at that last part; it wasn’t actually funny given how hard they had fought one another in that venue. She still remembered the pain she could feel deep in the recess of her mind when the beast had been in control of her body.

And this gentlemen right here we fought kaiju’s together up in Bosco I believe? I never did catch your name. Sleeping Calamity? Under the radar indeed, I haven’t heard of a guild by that name.

Lucretia pondered for a moment but inevitably if she hadn’t heard about them it was probably because they hadn’t really done anything yet or that they preferred to keep out of the spotlight. Either was fine and really hearing that they didn’t prey on the weak already made lucretia relax in that regard.

Well the honor’s all mine. Wasn’t really expecting to run into a guild when I got invited but… take one thing at a time I suppose!

Her gaze slid to nadine and couldn’t help but wonder how nadine joined this guild; or what it’s purposes was but her friend often had a good head on her shoulders so she wasn’t about to question that. If nadine didn’t bring it up before it was because it either happened recently or the guild had a desire to keep their actions under the radar which once again was fine with her.

Well I’m not about to just leave folks wanting; if I had known there would be this many I would have probably grabbed a few more racks of boar meat…

The woman shook her head at that; the grin on her face splitting from ear to ear. She could relax with this many people around. Even if she didn’t know most of them fairly well it’s not like a guild would just outright slight her or the people here would do anything to cause the mood to sour. She’d plop down onto the couch figuring that this was the best spot to really ‘hang out’.

I’d ask a little bit about your guild but something tells me that it’s a better conversation for another time. I hardly know three of you; but that doesn’t stop me from being curious about you lot as a whole. I figure I’m the outside wolf here.

A little bit of wordplay on that one; was she referring to her species? Or maybe her association with the guild Infinity Wolves?

Wild Wild Calamity [Open to SC + Lucretia] Empty Thu Oct 28, 2021 5:01 pm

Jikan

Her demand hidden under the guise of a request was given, the the perspective reactions soon given.

The first one to respond was the first character to enter the room. He quickly revealed his symbol to her; rolling up and revealing his left shoulder to Jikan. The red painted tattoo that identified the marker for Sleeping Calamity. It looked legit, not a fake one painted or one being placed on the body by a magic spell or an illusion. This person, brought items with them. An offering. Jikan was curious about how specially this person found out about her having this large room to herself. Beef and chicken...I do need some. It was beneficial that he brought it, he checked out, for now. "Okay, welcome and good to meet you", Jikan said with a nod, letting a little more of a welcoming tone come from her lips.

Jikan would just look as Hassan talked to Nadine and answered Ikazuchi's question. She wanted to observe, if these three were new guild members, she would have to get to now them a little; less she get aggravated with them easily. It was good to know though, about this man's cultural background a little. One's upbringing and and ideology of environment play a role in who they are after all.

Wait, Kaiji??? What things have Hassan and Nadine gotten into already?

That was a thing to think of later. Next it was the others present in the room. It was indeed true that Jikan's response was not enthusiastic, but it was not reluctant either. It was concealed and neutral, a kind of apathetic indifference. That would change a little at Nadine's response. In an astounding surpise, the lizard or crocodile appearing demi human woman opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue, revealing the same tattoo of Sleeping Calamity on her tongue. One of Jikan's eyebrows raised slightly, with an bemused smirk, "well, that is discreet. Welcome to our 'gathering'". It was not planned to be that way, but it was the cards Jikan was given. She wanted to find out how her guild members were doing after all....she just expected that it would be the ones she knew already; instead she seemed to be meeting people; people that made up new recruits.

This were going now a little, for after showing her symbol, Nadine turned to respond to Luc, yet another person in this new group that was acquainted with someone else. Nadine moved around Lucretia and the men before picking up the keg with the large racks of ribs on top of it, setting the items down to the rest of the food and rinks Jikan had out already. "Thank you". It was a short one, given both to Nadine and Luc. Extra food was nice, and thanks for putting it down was a small form of gratitude

Last but not least of the guild tattoo reveals would be Ika, the man that Jikan had completed a mission with some time ago now. And in that time, he had made himself a bit more of a well known trouble maker. His art with the swords becoming more and more known; and feared. Or respected in some people's case, such as Jikan. He turned his left arm to Jikan and showed her his tatoo. Well well, that is going to cause some Rune Knights to come after him eventually. I hope they are ready for that confrontation... "Well, this is an unexpected sight Ikazuchi. I did not have any idea that you were apart of my guild. Well, welcome, I look forward to seeing that strength that has made you so famous recently".

Now there was Luc. One that Jikan knew already and was a part of another guild. She let the cheerful werewolf lady talk, taking notes of info along the way. Lucretia and Nadine know each other, have been in some missions and situations together. Lucretia, is a recent person with her werewolf condition, I wonder how her control is? Hassan and Lucretia, were in Bosco fighting Kaji. She had a stotic face while taking this info in but decided to enter it a little. "Oh? You all were in there? I heard...well saw, some people as giants fighting off some creatures while I was in there. I suppose a thanks is in order for making my job easier while that was going on".

"Well, given that you all answered my request with no problem", with this Jikan turned around, facing away from everyone with her back towards them. With a little motion she removed her right shoulder from her outfit, opeing up her back to reveal the black tatoo of Sleeping Calamity on the back of her right shoulder. "Yall have shown me yours so here is mine". She would then put her arm back, and face everyone again. Everyone knew everyone's alleged allegiance now.

At this point a knock was heard at the door, a waiter with Jikan's request of meat and extra food was finally brought up. It was...a lot. Jikan could have a big appetite some times, specially after a fight or work out, and given that she did a workout while she was still getting her energy back from her spar with Luc, she needed her nutrition.

"Welp, since everyone is here, and food is abundant. Dig in?".

Hassan

With his stomach rumbling and the fact that the introductions were out of the way, Hassan was more than ready to chow down. He figured that the food would taste good since this was something that was prepared by him. He was also surprised of hearing that the guest was a werewolf. "You know, I figured that it would show a lot more upon transformation that your race is rumored to have.  However, we don't judge on appearances or races, all are welcome here in terms of race. " Hassan didn't mention that he himself was somewhat of the angelic race, perhaps there were some members of the organizations that were still sensitive about that.

Using the slayer magic around Knux made him uncomfortable and even though it was for a brief moment, Hassan did sense a bit of bloodlust, so perhaps it's a touchy subject that won't be brought up unless asked.

"Let's eat! I have to admit, playing those games was some of the grossest experiences that I had. Especially the tub of blood, where do they get all of this stuff? I almost believed that they were real. "  But there was no way that something like that could be real, right?"

note: sorry for the slow post

Wild Wild Calamity [Open to SC + Lucretia] Empty Tue Nov 02, 2021 5:02 pm

Taiho Seiker
It was a merry day in this gloomy event of a holiday. Samhain, what a shit hole it was.

Beer in hand, Taiho slogged his way past the crowds and crowds of people on his way to the tower that rested somewhere in this god awful place. It annoyed him slightly that his guild had decided here of all places to host a guild get together. So many places full of beautiful women and booze, and they choose this backwater place full of shenanigans and spooks. Hell he had to put a bullet in some clown wearing a scarecrow costume just the other day.

Pushing his way into the tower, he glanced slightly over towards the guide that told him exactly where each room was. Walking over to the board, he'd trace his finger over the dingy map, dust and excrement sticking to the gloved digit as he finally located his destination. Room 94. Fuck man. It would be on the ninth floor. Looking about and not seeing anything that remotely resembled a receptionist, he guessed that this place also lacked a fucking elevator. God forbid a tourist town not be in the eighteen hundreds. Sighing, he began the slow climb upwards, not even bothering to rush as he knocked back his drink with a glug. It would take him awhile, but finally reaching the level the room was at caused him to pause an d tilt his bottle once again. Finding nothing pouring out, he'd toss the worthless thing out the window, hoping it'd land on someone for his troubles.

Stumbling over to Room 94, he'd open the door to the sounds of chatter and music. Well at least someone was cheery. Bleary eyes would gaze over the collected grouping of everyone there and in his humble opinion, he was not impressed, of course that could also just be the alcohol. And so he would step into the room, making sure to close the door behind himself after stooping down a bit to get through the rather small doorway. Standing back up to his full height, the tall older gentleman merely waved at them all. He wore his more casual clothing, a white button down that was thankfully buttoned up enough to be respectful along with a black tie and black slacks. He wore a simple pair of black dress shoes along with a pair of red gloves that had a black cross on the back. His white hair that was eternally wild and mangy was as described, but laid about in a way that actually accentuated his face perfectly fine. His piercing blue eyes observed everyone equally but he kept a respectable distance as he moved over towards the drink table in an effort to not interrupt any on going conversation.

Decima
Jikan seemed to approve of where Nadine had placed her guild mark, and Nadine took the other woman's entertained expression as a good sign. The demi-human had been wary of the guild's upper echelons being humorless, but that didn't seem to be the case, at least with this founder. When thanked for relocating the provisions Lucretia had brought Nadine had offered the redhead a respectful nod in return, as well.

Continuing to sit on the armrest of a couch as she ate from her claimed bag of smoked meats, the woman listened attentively as people chatted away. It was surprising to hear that even Jikan had managed to get involved with the mayhem in Bosco; although, the other woman never mentioned just what she had been up to at the time. It was possible that Jikan had been acting on behalf of the other side of the conflict opposite from Hassan, Lucretia, and Nadine. Now that they were all back in Fiore and about to share drinks with each other Nadine didn't see much point in inquiring, though. Jikan also revealed her own guild tattoo validating her own identity. Room service then came in to drop off more food, and although Nadine was already eating jerky her eyes locked onto some of the more generous servings of meats laid out.

Hassan went on to talk about the games spread out through Samhain, and Nadine stopped eating to chuckle at his shared experiences.

"They're all just carnival games," she said confidently, "but, I'd swear some of the activities are rigged like carnival games, too." Personally Nadine had only played two games so far: one a test of physical strength, and the other a test of stomach fortitude. Sadly, she had only passed the latter of the pair, but she wasn't about to admit that openly. With her strength she should have easily been able to smash that barrel, but it just wasn't meant to be, apparently.

A new face then opened the door. The man that stepped inside looked dressed for the occasion, minus a couple buttons being undone on his shirt. Despite his wave, his expression didn't scream 'friendly,' but that trait wasn't exactly in high demand for a dark guild. Golden eyes remained patient and alert as she returned the stranger's stare, and she gave her new guildmate a silent nod of greeting. He seemed to have the right idea at least, making his way towards the drinks table. Two others had already given the green light to start eating, too.

Setting her bag of jerky down Nadine got up from her seat and helped herself. She put several skewers of meat onto a plate, along with a couple dinner rolls, and finally a few ribs from the boar rack that Lucretia had brought in. Satisfied for now with her starting plate Nadine then returned to her seat.

"Hey Lucretia? What's in the keg you brought?" she asked while glancing to the Icebergian.

Ikazuchi
Ikazuchi smiled in response to Jikan’s statement, unsure about what he could say in response that wouldn’t come across as arrogant. He was just thankful at that moment that he wasn’t the only person present, so he didn’t need to respond at this moment. The conversation flowed on without his involvement, and he managed to learn a bit more about the people present. What became most apparent was the fact that everyone was surprisingly sociable considering the guild’s principles.

The situation was nothing like he expected. Ikazuchi had arrived ready for a fight, but was suddenly present for a feast. It was somewhat awkward, but he was able to lower his guard a bit after seeing that no one present would suddenly attack him. The discussion about the terrible games reminded him of his time here last year. ‘I should probably check them out this year.’ This thought passed through his head as he silently enjoyed the fact that he wasn’t the only one who had suffered through them. If it wasn’t for the prizes that he could claim, he wouldn’t ever consider doing them again.

It was only when the man named Taiho arrived that Ikazuchi realized that there were definitely members of the guild who were as eccentric as expected. The man had not a single word for anyone present, and had taken the shortest route to where the drinks were.

Ikazuchi felt a bit of excitement for the prospects of the guild as he realized that this one likely wouldn’t end in the same manner as the others that he had joined in the past. He decided to fill a plate for himself and would join the conversation when the chance presented itself. “Thanks for the food.” After filling his plate with a variety of food, the young man found himself an empty seat near everyone.
