"Oh, you found my pet?" What seemed to be the voice of a young child distorted during the sentence into something much more grotesque. The door behind Konstantin closed. The young boy changed into a two-headed Demon with four arms. "I can't let you leave this place to alert the rest." The creature stood three meters tall. The distance between him and Konstantin was about twenty meters roughly. He raised his four hands and waved his banner around while changing them between his hands. "Now die." With the last exchange, he placed the banner behind his neck and aimed his four hands at Konstantin. With his top right hand he cast a debuff. With his top left hand he cast another debuff. With his bottom hands, both aimed at Konstantin, he shot two blast which would follow Konstantin unless he managed to stop them in their tracks before he would get hit.

Kon

An all too familiar taste filled Konstantin’s mouth, iron, or more specifically the iron from the blood that coated his mouth. It seems that he had bit the side of his tongue in the interim, that didn’t matter however and would prove to only be a distraction in the events to come. This was swiftly made apparent with the disappearance of the tentacle monster from his enhanced vision instead now being overshadowed by a new being. It was an abomination, Humanoid but clearly not of this world, it was the master of the monster prior. Never seeking to show weakness in front of his opponents, Kon once more reinforced his being unleashing his Nephilim abilities causing a white glow to burst out from his single eye while an aura pushed out the dust that had fallen upon him in the conflict. Raising to his feet the demon made a few short comments while he had received minor cuts and bruises from the initial fight, they were minimal and now it was time to fight at the best of his abilities.

Drawing up his hands, left hand free, right hand wielding his dagger backward he watched the demon prepare what seemed like numerous spells, all Darkness-type as was the norm for demons. Immediately he could feel his strength and speed being weakened significantly before two orbs offensive in nature left the Demon’s lower hands, the raw strength was intense from them, and the distance that separates them would leave him with only a few options, one to flee entirely which didn’t seem to be the correct choice both morally or effectively, the best would be trying to block and reflect the spells back at the demon, unfortunately the casualties involved would be great with numerous civilians behind him, but if he was not slain then more would die. This would be the toll that Kon would have to pay, the lives of those caught in the crossfire.

And so, as the orbs drew closer to Kon, he drew up his left hand bringing forth a great black hole drawing up everything around it save for Kon himself, debris, cutlery, everything fell inside the ever-hungry gap in space, even the powerful offensive spells that the demon threw at him would not be immune to the pull of the spell with it only being destroyed in full once both had fallen into the void. Wasting no time and knowing that the demon would not stop until he was dead or defeated, Kon opened up another hole, white in variety sending back the orbs directly at the Demon which while would deal less damage would still impact the otherwise unarmoured demon greatly.

Know that the lives of the town were at stake, Kon would continue his counter-attack dashing towards the demon who with any luck would have been thrown off guard both Kon not being injured and instead him being hurt by his own spells. Kon could still not underestimate the demon as he didn’t know what else the demon was able to do only that he was immensely durable and intelligent, his speed and strength was not be underestimated just merely being lesser than his own. For now, however, he would dash towards the demon dagger leading the charge before blitzing the gap further in an attempt to remove the demon’s limb which was wielding the odd staff failing to get reach without exposing himself, he would instead target the monstrous beings torso sensing it would be futile to attack its head, left arm raised over his right ready to move to his head and teleport across the room at a moments notice if need be.

Konstantin's spells absorbed the two orbs and then sent them back towards the caster. Despite having his strength and speed debuffed, he still seemed to more than capable to continue the battle. Before the Demon could respond, the orbs hit him and blasted him through the door out onto the streets. Fortunately, the hits were reduced in damage against himself. The spells affected him partly. He opened his mouth as he was blasted away, before Konstantin could slice and dice, and sent out another attack whilst flying away.

The impact of the two spells was devastating both to the demon and the wall behind him, even in the haze of conflict with Kon ever dashing towards him, vision partially concealed with his left arm. The side of the building was not but a crumbled mess with the roof being held only by the pillars that stood on each corner, with the middle threatening to buckle in at any moment. This fragility of the building nor the lives within the building were not of Konstantin’s concern however as the Demon had already begun his own follow-up once more using the same spell as he had previously saved for its origin not using his mouth rather than his arms. “A misdirection?” Kon thought to himself as he drew closer to the demon and the orb drew towards him at an even faster pace. Normally he would have been able to think things through more thoroughly however this was a battle of life and death and time was not on his side. As Kon was unable to reflect the spell as he had done so previously with the other, he would be forced to either retreat or push forward and continue his assault. Wanting to ensure the demise of the demon and curry favour with the formidable Nerva whose philosophy became more appealing with each passing moment. Knowing the damage of the spell with it bearing a resemblance to the former two, Kon allowed it to burn through and destroy his armour entirely leaving him bare-chested albeit still with a hood. This admission of the spell allowed Kon to catch up to the demon with minimal effort and finally assault his bare limbs beginning with his right leg. Closing the distance was done in a matter of seconds with him following, through past the demon, in the hopes to dodge any retaliation before pivoting back with a quick blitz. Each pass Kon made two jabs into the demon’s right leg hoping to hinder his ability to move, before leaving the area temporarily to recover his spells via his teleportation abilities.

The Chasing Mouth Blast managed to hit Konstantin, but it only resulted into breaking his armor. The demon hit ground after being blasted away by his own spells and tried to quickly stand up. Meanwhile, Konstantin cut him in his right leg with a swift motion and retreated before the demon could grab him. The demon's right leg was now completely hindered. He became frustrated and danced the banner around his hands again, but this time he included a rotation that placed the banner briefly in his mouth as well. When he was done, he placed the banner behind his neck again. Once again orbs came out of his hand which would chase Konstantin till it would hit him. In addition, a winged eye crawled out of the demon's mouth and flew ten meters above the ground. The demon would be capable of seeing through this flying as well now to make sure that Konstantin would not surprise him again.

With a great burst of energy, Kon was teleported a mere 20 meters from his previous location, close an intersection of two streets. The otherwise busy area was dead silent save for his heavy breathing and the occasional sparks that lingered off his person onto the ground. The Demon was still clear in sight of the Blessed Knight, even in the dust bowl that had formed out of the collapsing building. His golden eye aided him significantly with it revealing that the demon was not only critically wounded from Kon’s last strike but also hindered to the extent that his mobility was crippled entirely. This would force the demon to rely further on his magic or drag his weakened frame over to Kon and try to attack him directly. The latter would not be the case, with the demon once more drawing forth numerous orbs once more nearly identical to the previous ones only weaker in potency. Now having a clear understanding of what the more powerful variants could do not just to the demon indirectly but to his own armor, he was determined to stay away from them until he was able to reflect the spells once more. And so seeking shelter from the incoming barrage, Kon made a strategic retreat and blitzed away from the demon before hopping over a large crate of goods, just over the other side of the intersection. He was expecting to hear the thuds and receive the blasts in full force to his person however that was not to be the case.

Curious about what had just happened wondering whether there was something else at work be it another individual having taken down the demon in the interim or something similar, Kon moved his frame towards the direction where the orbs had originated. What he saw left speechless. Each of the orbs were lingering just at the wall, hovering in place angrily, seemingly wanting to hit Kon. This was made further apparent when he began to move in an attempt to flee them and go across to the other side of the street once more. They were clearly following him, but were also out of range. Not wanting to be a fool, Kon ensured to give himself enough space that would prevent the Demon from having the orbs hit him and continued to do so as he waited for his counterplay to be ready once more.

Note: Kon is 23 meters away from the demon.

Konstantin managed to get out of the range of the Chasing Blasts, resulting into the spell being dissipated. The demon didn't care and started to walk away from the scene. His orders were not to defeat the foolish human, but to ensure that what was about to happen next to happen. He raised his banner into the air and began to scream something loudly in the Abyssian tongue. Whatever was about to happen got fast-forwarded a little bit now that the demon had time. As long as he would not get bothered, he could make it happen any time now.

Kon

His efforts to evade the demon’s attack had been success with him not needing to even block the orbs having completely dissolved entirely. Instead the demon had decided seemingly that he was not worth his time or that he had other matter to deal with. The latter appeared more likely with him more completely ignoring Kon and now focusing his attention chanting and using his banner in some other fashion. Knowing that any demonic chanting was no doubt bad for humanity with the sky growing dark as a result of the chanting. This dramatic swift in weather was a clear indicator that he was not of time, Kon adjusting his his plans, readied himself to finally slay the demon with the combination of magic and melee before returning to Nerva informing him of its demise. And so once more with his dagger drawn in front of him with his left hand now ready to cast magic. He rushed forward to the bloody and battered multi-limbed denizen of the Abyss,

Reaching the demon he slashed at the demon as he continued to shout in his demonic guttural language. Knowing that his attack would not be sufficient to slay the demon he continued with another slash along with bloody demon’s side. Once more he pushed forward then turned back towards the demon. Blitzing back, Kon finished the demon with a long, deep strike running from the demon’s back before ultimately gutting him. The giant gash allowed for its black blood to shoot out violently dirtying the Holy Knight. The defeat demon lay flat on the ground still clutching the banner. What the banner did exactly He didn’t know, but he would bring it back to Nerva to inform him of the demise of the bannered demon.

Ignoring the blood and gore more importantly the smell that coated his frame, he tore the demon’s skulls off to ensure that it was truly dead. What was beneath them was somewhat unusual with one being that the head of an elderly man, the other that of an infant. Even still he sliced off both heads and stomped them into mush. Sending tissue, bone and muscle across the street, It was oddly therapeutic if not excessively violent. But subtlety wasn’t something that Kon needed to worry about anymore if he were to follow Nerva’s morales of by any means rather than being forced to save face as he had been while in the Holy Knights.

And so with the demon dead, Illusion of the building now disappearing, Kon was satisfied and began to return to Nerva carrying the banner with his left hand resting it on his left shoulder while his right hand still wielded his dagger.

Ragged Banner was getting tired, the spell he was casting consumed a lot of his Obscura. His eye managed to warn him that Konstantin had returned, but it did no longer matter. He was done and he had served his Lord well. The dagger cut through his body, but the demon could no longer feel any pain anymore. He had already lost most of his senses to complete the spell. All that he had left now was his sight, and it was away from the attacker. A large rift began to open in the skies above the town. Seeing that as the final image before he was torn apart gave him peace.

Kon

In spite of Kon’s attempts to end the conflict with haste, the demon was able to proclaim victory for his side seemingly being able to use his dying will and remaining energy to release whatever he had been chanting. The signs were clear, Kon had witnessed them many times now across the regions of Fiore. A rift was forming once more in Orchidia town, however, this was different on an entirely separate scale. A sense of dismay and failure overcame the Holy Knight with thoughts playing out in his head. “What did I were faster?, Stronger? Smarter, could I have defeated him soon and stopped this?” This sudden swift in Kon’s core froze him in place as he tried to justify his inability to stop such a tragic event from the beginning. He felt that he had not just doomed himself but the entire town. However, with failure, there would be potential for redemption, even if the rift had been unleashed perhaps the work of defeating the demon single-handedly would be noted albeit rebuffed for going in without help.

Overconfidence in his abilities had caused this at least that was what he was feeling. Hoping however that he would be able to convince Nerva to aid him and the rest to stop the rift. The alternative was less than ideal, dying from not stopping something which he was otherwise unable to stop. Perhaps the staff would yield some method to stop the rift. Stopping the rift was not his primary concern for the time-being rather managing to reach the Overzealous Nerva before he decides to level the town.

What would have otherwise been an easy thing to do had become immensely difficult with goblins, ogres and all monstrous beings seemingly appearing through the ether. While protecting the citizens of the town would have been the honourable thing for him to do, he could not allow the deaths of those around him slow down his efforts to get to Nerva even killing creatures in front of him was ignored in part by him teleporting a great distance forward. Behind him, screams, crying and pleas of help could be heard all fell on deaf ears as the bare-chested Knight continued forward to Nerva and with luck the rest of the group that were to take out the other demons.
