Kaito

Kaito feels the power that is in the air as he starts on his way to the next spot on the map and he wonders what might be there waiting for them and he wonders what might be the big scheme behind it all and why did they send him on this mission if not for him to die was there more powers at work here that were fighting for control and he was just a simple pawn in their fight and he might be taking out their little experiments for someone else and he rather not be played for the fool in this all but there seems to really be no choice as more lives seemed to be in the balance as he hears more people fighting and yelling about something that Kaito had yet to see. Kaito comes running out of a tall grassy area and he looks around and sees nothing till he looked to the sky and this time it was a giant robot bird.

Kaito wonders what kind of rotten luck that he must have as that was a huge bird and the talons on it were drills and the ones fighting this one are dwarves and they are not mincing their words with it as they curse and swing make shift axes and war hammers at the giant bird they seemed very unafraid of the thing but he decided that he was going to help fight against it any ways and he points and he aims for the joints of the wings and it helps bring it to the ground and the dwarves swarm it and start cutting into it and ripping off pieces and Kaito is slightly more scared of how they are acting over what that bird was doing as they seemed to be more of a threat as the machine bird struggles and starts shaking throwing the dwarves off of it and it transforms to a land form that has longer legs and it starts trying to kick and stomp on the dwarves who dodge and duck and take swings at the machine beast.

It seemed that their blows are now just glancing blows and are not even denting the monster any more had it adapted to their attacks or was it protected from physical attacks now so they would have to attack with magical attacks now to damage it. Kaito knows that their weapons must also be pretty weak as well. Kaito swings his sword again and it hits the side of the now land bird and it looks like it did a lot of damage to it and the dwarves look at him and they see what they had to do. One dwarf used water magic and a different dwarf used fire magic and they repeated swapping who was doing it and the bird fractures and is dropping pieces from the hole that they had just made in the bird from the repeated attacks on it. Kaito was shocked to see them using magic as from what he had hear dwarves didn't like to actually use magic like that as they rather trust a weapon over the fancy magic.

Kaito moves in and he helps to cut down the bird before it can do anything more to the dwarves and he used his magic to take the creatures foot clean off and it falls over onto it's side and the dwarves run into the giant bird and start pulling out the machines guts? Kaito knows that he shouldn't feel bad by these dwarves seemed savage and like they are going to be an issue that he was going to have troubles with. Kaito moved quickly to them when they were finished and he tries to talk to them and they mostly grumble at him and he rubs his chin and he gets some of the healing supplies out and he shows them and they line up a bit and he opened a portal and his team mates came through to help him treat the wounded and the hurt that were here and he once again sees slave markings on these dwarves and he wonders where or why.

Kaito knows he needs to get to the bottom of this before it gets out of hand and more innocent people get caught up in this. As Kaito treats the dwarves he thinks about a pattern in what he was seeing demi humans then now dwarves he thinks that the next one will probably be elves then if this is the cycle in which they are taking unless he is thrown a curve ball and something else is there or if the dwarves that he is working on currently were the last real one in case he survived the first one. That bird would have been harder if Kaito hadn't seen them hitting it with those improvised weapons to show him physical attacks would do nothing though his sword is different than other types of swords that one might see on the normal. Kaito feels like there is something else that needs to be done here.

He looks at the line and seeing how many of the dwarves came out after the bird had been taken down and he make sure that none of them were faking to be okay when they really weren't and he had caught a couple with deeper wounds than they had said that they had and were acting tough till Kaito applied pressure to their injury and they nearly doubled over and Kaito makes sure that they are cleaned up and he gets them stitched up and he gently wraps the wounds in bandages and make sure that they got down the cleaning steps and then he makes a portal to take them to a safer place so that they can find and make their own homes. Kaito is feel pretty wiped out from all these huge metal monsters and he still is wondering how he can keep this up or what they were hoping to see from him.

Once the final dwarf had made it through he closed the portal and he starts walking toward the next area but he keeps feeling the ground shake more as he got closer to the area of the next mark on his map. He has a bad feeling that this one was a tunneled and he was going to have to get it out of the ground. He was not looking forward to this as he got to the last area and he indeed sees elves and they were sticking to the trees and their eyes are scanning the ground as a giant armored snake comes up out of the ground and Kaito fires a spell at it with the elves firing weak bows from tree branches at it that are just bouncing off of the creatures hard outer shell of it but Kaito's spell hits it and knocks it sideways and the elves run at it which means this must of been the first time this thing had shown it self for them to attack it.

He feels this as elves are usually smarter then waiting for a useless attack and he watched the elves fire on it more and then go in and start using nature binding magics to try and hold it but the snake looked like it was fighting hard. Kaito walked up and hit the snake and he sliced into it as if it was nothing this one had a fire weakness but no way that the elves had that kind of magic so Kaito runs up the side of the body of the restrained monster cutting it open and the elves fire into the opening in the armor while they have the chance and then it falls over dead and he looks at them and speaks to them in their tongue then walks them to a place to treat them and once again summons his friends to help him with healing them.

Kaito get what is left of the supplies and he gets to work and the elves tell him how he should be tending to them and not really letting him to tend to them without telling him that he is strong or that he needs to make sure that he does it right and Kaito wonders if this is really how they have to be toward him as he is doing his best as he has two left hands sometimes but elves are usually more proud of a race and they need to be watched over as they go and Kaito hopes this is over as he finishes up the last of the elves and sending them off and then he goes back to the building to try and get answers but the building was now in ruins and his payment was sitting there waiting for him so it seemed that he was not going to get his answer from them at least not like this or at this time.
