Kaito

Kaito once again looks out into the machine laced lands of this country as another request finds him and he looks at the request and reads it as it once again requests that he come and serve the country and get more "cures" out to everyone else that had not already had them. Kaito was still alone as Revy had not returned to him and he has had no luck in finding her, the man stands and he starts walking, rather he was heading in the right way it was a mystery as he had just seemed to have walked in a random direction as he looked quite aimless as he walked from the spot that he had been sitting in thought as the mechanical bird had dropped it in his lap. Kaito shakes his head to refocus as he couldn't risk being unfocused on this job as there are lives that are begging to be saved and helped, even if Kaito doesn't believe that in the end what he is doing here is good.

Kaito returned to the building that he had helped to unmutate the people that they had been giving their cures to. They looked at him and they had more packs with more of their cures on the table and ready for him and he wonders if there were going to be more people that were mutated or if this was another give healing at the check points and Kaito will have to just pretend that he was not feeling like he was just doing further harm to them. He feels like there was something that he was not catching onto here something that was wrong with this task but they hand him a map and tell him that he would be helping at those points and Kaito sighs as they were a pretty big distance away but he was going to do it any ways to make sure that the people still had some hope and some relief from this cursed lands problems and illnesses.

Kaito starts running down the street and he jumps over debris and he wonders where there were people around here as he was not seeing the check points as he had before this area looked worse than the most beaten down place that he had treated and now he was worried that he had been set up for something as he sees eyes light up in the dark shadows and demi humans walk out and up toward him, they are looking him over and Kaito wondered if there was no healing area here and they were scattered and that is why they spoke of it saying it was going to be harder. Kaito is unsure in what tongue they speak so he reached into a portal and he touched a special book and he starts speaking to them so they can understand him. "I am here to help, please gather any others that might be hiding around here and bring them here so I may help them."

Kaito watches as three of the demi human children that he had spoken to took off to very run down buildings and he pulls things out of his portal from his domain and he starts treating the ones and those that came thanks to those that had left to gather others and Kaito set up a special line for those that had taken it on themselves to run to gather more so that they could be treated first and those that needed his attention sooner rather than later could be treated faster then if they were to get into the line with the others that were not in as bad of shape. Kaito is doing his best but it is a lot to do alone as there were no others here to help him but the demi humans here were willing to work with him and wait as long as he didn't do any movements that were faster than their liking.

Kaito feels the portal let something else into the area and it is his team they have come to help him well three of them had taken it upon themselves to come and help him his paladin team mate in the bear mask, the requip mage in a crow mask, and the rabbit masked rouge adventurer. They have come to help as they saw he was in need of a hand and the demi humans looked scared and Kaito spoke to them again telling them that they will help them as well and they take some of the "cure" they help and tend to their wounds and he wonders if they were hurt by something and if what ever that thing was if it was still around here somewhere. Kaito hears the sound of metal moving and clanking as he keeps working on the demi human in front of him as there was no need to pay it mind till the demi humans show fear at it and Kaito goes to find out about it.

Kaito finds the metal creature that look like a giant wolf and it seemed to be looking for something and Kaito pulls back and he swings his sword and an arcane energy wave shot forward from his sword and hit the robotic creature knocking it off it's balance and it turns it's attention fully goes to him and he sees what it was after there was a small child hiding in the rubble there they must have not trusted to come to the medical check point. Kaito stretches and he cracks his neck as he was going to take it on and the beast ran at him and he strikes it down into the dirt and it looks at him as if it was scanning him to learn something and Kaito thins this might be an issue and he jumps back to bait it farther from the demi human child that was hiding from the creature so they may flee and he would handle the creature and the wolf releases a pulse that pulled some of the scrap metal that was around and it healed the wound that Kaito had put on it making it self slightly bigger than it was and Kaito wonders if this was one of the science teams experiments.

Kaito looks around and another thought hits him, this was a hunting ground not a place people live and these demi human children and elders weren't here by choice and it explained why they spoke different tongues than others that were here. Kaito is pissed off and runs in on the wolf and his blade hits true on it's body as this was a killing ground for demi human slaves and to get rid of people so this was not random that he was sent here maybe some how they knew this was happening here and sent him here to stop it or were they sending him here to die protecting them from this thing as it seemed to be able to repair itself and was not going to be easy to kill for a normal person. Kaito points his hand and a chuck of it's insides were removed and a core appeared in his hand this was it's heart the very thing that powered it and let it keep fighting.

Kaito closed his hand the core breaking and the wolf falling to pieces and then Kaito goes to the hiding child it is actually caught in a trap that has it's leg pinned down and Kaito breaks the trap and then he carried the child back to the medical check point to start treating this child who didn't speak or even make eye contact with him as it feared him it would seem. Lucky for this child the leg that was caught was only dislocated and not broken, Kaito tells the child this will hurt and he gets the leg back in place and gives them a crutch to help them till their leg recovers and that is when they looked at Kaito and he realized that they were blind then Kaito had them open their mouth and sees their tongue had also been removed. This child wasn't a victim they were bait to lure the others in.

Kaito feels he can not leave this one here and behind and he opens a portal to a different country for the others to go to and gives them resources and his other team members to help train then and help them start new lives as this place was a death trap, which now Kaito wonders if the other places on his map were also like this and Kaito gets back to treating them and making sure that they can live on and he wonders what horrors might still be ahead of him and the others if there were bigger monsters made of machines and scrap or if this was just a trap and the other spots were lies as the first was where he was to die, the only way to find out was to go to them after they had finished here and getting them back on their feet. Kaito finished up the last bits of the group here and he readies his team and they start on the path to the next spot and see if they are going to be able to save more people and what might still be ahead of them.
