Yuurei

This next job that they would take was kind of weird, but he figured it would be interesting to see how they could handle things. The temperature was getting warmer within this region, but it was probably a lot warmer within the South Region. He knew this but was living here. He was with Haru again and it seemed like their job today was to keep a specific man name Leis, who was in a wheelchair away from the castle. This wasn’t going to be too hard as the man was in a wheelchair. Still, it seemed like he was taking quite some time to arrive at the castle because they were waiting for a couple of hours. Yuurei would look over to Haru with a smirk on his face.

“I feel like this guy is never going to show up? We could have been drinking and messing around with how long he’s taking to appear.” He said as he leaned on the castle wall.

Haru had been expecting excitement and adventure when she'd joined Paradise Dawn. Yet here she was once more about to spend the entire day babysitting some elderly citizen. This time around it would seem even less enticing, taking care of some idiot that some noble wanted to be removed from his castle so they could host a party without the idiot's presence interrupting the event. At least the old woman baked them delicious cookies and they had fun solving crosswords.

On the more fortunate side of things at least she wasn't alone in this endeavour, she had her friend, Yuurei and the every so adorable Renji to help out. The feline's mind when to some not so work-appropriate places when the light mage used the term 'messing around' as she'd follow suit, leaning against the wall. She too was feeling a little impatient but just as she was about to speak up her ears would twitch as she picked up the sound of squeaking. Turning she'd notice it coming from a man in a wheelchair, rolling his way over with a big goofy grin on his face as if he was just itching to ruin everyone's day.

"I suppose that's our man." Haru sighed, pushing herself off the wall and getting ready to escort him away from the premises.

Yuurei

Yuurei would walk up to the guy when he heard the squeaking of the wheels, and he would smile when he heard Haru’s words. He would walk over to the old man in the wheelchair and the man would stop right in front of the two. He would look at them wondering what they want from him.

“How can I help you guys?” He asked them wondering what they were going to say to him.

Yuurei would think about what to say and he figured he would try to convince him of another location for him to complain about.

“We’re here today to tell you that there is a place we want you to speak about your teaching. They need to hear your guidance and on top of that, it would cause a lot of ruckuses for the people living within the castle. Can we take you there?” He asked, hoping that it would be enough to convince him.

Haru was a little shocked to hear how blatantly Yuurei lied to the man's face, she'd always depicted him as a very truthful kind of person. At first, it seemed his words had failed, as Leis eyed the three suspiciously, but upon resting his eyes on Renji his frown turned into a wide smile.

"Alright, kiddos let's see what you're capable of then." He chortled. It seemed to have done the trick as the elderly man seemed genuinely excited at the prospect of getting to preach to a new audience. He gave the light mage a thumbs up and turned his wheelchair around, waiting to be escorted through the town to this location Yuurei had mentioned.

"Let's go then! Hurry up! I don't have all day!" He claimed, chuckling maniacally at the idea of annoying the nobles more than usual. Haru had to stifle her laughter a little bit over his antics. She too didn't mind the idea of irritating the nobles for fun, but unfortunately for Leis today he would not get such an opportunity, or she wouldn't get paid.

Yuurei

Yuurei was pushing Leis through the streets of Orchidia and while doing so the man was going off and talking about Satan. The light mage was surprised about the things that were coming out of his mouth but knew that he was going to get paid for this in the end. While they were moving him around though, it would seem like he had mellowed out and decided to talk about his wife.

“My wife was my entire being of living. She was beautiful and always pushed me to do better. She was beautiful, and I swear she always made sure that I never seek out vengeance. The only problem was that when I broke my leg, somebody killed my wife. I don’t know who did it but I blame the gods for what happened.” He said this to Yuurei and Haru as they were pushing him around.

Yuurei felt bad for the guy, and he would rub the back of his head because he didn’t know what to say.

“I think I want to go, home guys, can you take me. I’ll point the way.” He said to them.

Yuurei felt bad for him as it seemed like he had gone through a lot in his life. Still, he was pushing him in the direction he was pointing in.

Haru decided to indulge the man as they made their way down the streets, agreeing with everything that came out of his mouth, no matter how absurd. However, once he relaxed a little and began talking about his late wife, the feline couldn't help but give a genuine smile. He had clearly loved her very dearly. She couldn't blame him for his point of view. She'd left before it had been her time, he had the right to feel outraged. Although, there were definitely healthier methods to dealing with his grief.

Upon hearing he wished to go home, the trio obliged, there was no reason to keep him out on the street when he was feeling so down and depressed. He wasn't going to bother anyone else today at the very least. His previously chipper mood from when they'd first met him had completely dissipated. The feline would bid him a nice day upon seeing him home before preparing to return to the castle so the trio could get paid for their services.

Yuurei

Yuurei would push Leis all the way to his house. It wasn’t a problem for him to do and it seemed like talking about his wife put him in a mood. He understood because he probably would have been like that if something happened to his wife. Of course, he didn’t have one, but he just thought about it. The light mage thought about this the entire walk over to the old man’s house. It wouldn’t take them long to get to his house and once they got him into the house, they would say their farewells to him. The Nephilim was satisfied with how quick things were with this guy.

Now they were off to get paid by the nobles that lived in that castle. The job they had them do was easy, which meant that they were making easy money. Yuurei wondered how many jobs were around that were quick and easy in Ochidia.
