Corrupted Wyvern (Good)

Yuurei

Yuurei enjoyed the town he was in, but there was one thing that had gotten his attention. He would stop at a bulletin board, and on it, he would find an interesting request. There was a Wyvern in a dungeon around these parts. He figured he would go check it out and he would take the sheet as he would walk towards the tavern that was placed in the sheet. It wouldn’t take long to find the place and when he did, he would be met with eyes from everyone. He would just wave towards them all until he saw the person he was looking for.

The light mage would walk towards him as everyone kept their eyes on him.

"You must be Daragast? I'm here because of this." He said as he would put the request on the table before taking a seat.

Daragast was surprised that someone who looked like this guy would take on the job.

Yuurei

Daragast would lean back on his chair with a smirk on his face. He was sizing him up to make sure that he could do the job at hand, and when he figured looks could be deceiving he would tell the man what he needed to know.

"So, there is a cursed and corrupted Wyvern that has been flying around Era. It has done a decent amount of damage to the town. Still, it's the dungeon of Era that has to deal with this thing. It finds itself perched on top of the dungeon at night. It's annoying and scary that nobody has taken that thing out. I want you to do it, like I said wait until nighttime for it to show up." He paused for a second.

Yuurei would hear this and he was glad that he was given the information that he needed, but wasn't there something he was missing?

He figured that he would wonder how he would get up there and if there was anything he needed to be careful of. The eyes that stared at him were no longer doing so as Daragast would alert them there was no need to worry.

"So does this Wyvern have any weakness and do you need me to be careful of anything? Also, do I need permission to get up to the dungeon?" He asked curious to see what would be said.

Daragast chuckle a bit as it seemed like he was truly more than meets the eyes.

"Yes, please do your best not to damage the dungeon. We keep criminals in there. The Wyvern's fast, and that's how it usually gets away from everyone, but its damage is lacking. You will also need this, so the Rune Knights will allow you to pass." He said to Yuurei as he had handed him a ticket with a seal on it.

Yuurei

Yuurei nodded as he understood what was needed to do and he was glad that he had gotten this information.

"Thank you for the information. If you want you can meet by the leveled ground of the dungeon at night." He said this as he would get up from his seat.

The light mage would start walking out of the tavern. Renji would look at everyone there making sure that nobody would try any funny business to Yuurei. When they got out of the tavern, Yuurei would sigh as he was no longer as tense as he was in there.

"Okay, thank god we left that place. Let's go to the top of this dungeon." He said to Renji.

"Alright let's make sure we look at our surroundings, so we aren't caught off guard." He said to Yuurei.

He would nod agreeing with him as he would start walking towards the dungeon.

Yuurei

The dungeon wasn't hard to find as it was tall and it was about thirty meters high. His travel was quick and he would be met with two Rune Knights that blocked off the path to the top. They would look over to Yuurei as they wondered who this guy was.

"State your business?" He asked him ready to tell him to leave.

Yuurei would hand them the ticket with Daragast's seal and they would look at each other before stepping aside. They would both look at him and would hope for the best.

"Good Luck," They said at the same time.

Yuurei would just nod at both of them and would walk up the path to the top. It was a nice walk and different than anything he had ever done. Still, he would continue his march up the path and after an hour of walking it, he would reach the top.

Yuurei

Yuurei would assess the situation on the plateau now that he was there. He would see the length of the area and he would nod as he had enough room to fight the damn Wyvern. He also saw that there were a few rocks around here and additionally there were a lot of bones here. He rubbed the back of his head wondering how many people died trying to take this thing down.

Still, the only thing he could do was prepare himself for the dragon-like creature to show itself. He prepared himself the entire time on the plateau, thinking of ways on how he was going to deal with the creature's speed. He hoped he was faster than the thing. Renji took his catnap and soon enough he would be woken up by Yuurei.

Night time had fallen upon them, and when Renji noticed that he rushed onto Yuurei's shoulder as he didn't want to be caught by the flying beast.

Yuurei

It wouldn't take long, but the two of them would feel the wind blowing in their direction. It was fierce and strong and it seemed like the Wyvern was making its way back home. Yuurei had opened both of his hands as two magical gold circles would appear. Seventeen stars appearing at the same time would enter his body as the power and speed he felt surging through his body would get him ready for the fight ahead. The Wyvern would see that its home was disturbed and that there were intruders there. Instead, of landing, it would fly straight towards Yuurei intent on killing him.

Yuurei's eyes widen from how fast this thing was going and it caught him off guard. He would dodge to the side but was barely able to dodge it. Instead, he would grab his side as it scratched him. He would clench his teeth in pain as this thing was fast, but so was he.

Yuurei

The light mage would look at it flying the sky as it was turning. He would shake his head and he would pretend to hold a bow as he pulled his imaginary string and a magic circle would appear. The Wyvern had started flying towards him again. He would release the string and an arrow would come flying out of the circle and it would hit the Wyvern on its wing causing the creature to roar in pain. When it got too close Yuurei would cross his finger as another circle would appear and he would move through it to avoid the blow from the monster. He would find himself sliding and quickly stopping himself before he looked up at the Wyvern. He needed to take it out before this thing would do something that he would regret.

Yuurei moved towards the center of the plateau as he was getting ready to do something daring and risky.

Yuurei

Yuurei would wait for the opportunity as the wyvern would find itself going for another diver attack. The light mage waiting for the chance to come. When the creature got close to Yuurei, the light mage would move to the side and then quickly use all his force to punch the creature twice in their neck. The Dragon would roar for a split second before stopping as it couldn't anymore. It would fall on the ground of the plateau and it would slide on the ground as it would come to a stop right before it reached the end. Yuurei grabbed his waist again as the creature had hit him twice there.

He would sit on the ground for a bit and he would see that there were a bunch of people coming up to the plateau. He wondered if he had done something wrong, but he would see Daragalt amongst them. He would raise a thumb up to the man as he had done his job.

Yuurei

The Rune Knight and Daragalt would be impressed that Yuurei had taken out the wyvern, but Renji was more worried that this guy had gotten hit. He shook his head about that as they were approaching Yuurei.

"We spoke about this last time Yuu. You told me you wouldn't get hit anymore. It seems like you are lacking somewhere and we need more training." Renji would say this.

Yuurei would laugh a bit as he grabbed his side from it hurting.

"I understand operation training will begin soon then." He said this as Daragalt would appear in front of him.

"I can't believe you were able to take out the Wyvern. It seemed like you barely used magic to do it. So, how did you take out the mighty beast?" He was curious to hear what Yuurei had to say.

"I did use my magic, but honestly, my magic is used to enhance my body enough for me to hurt people. I struck the neck of the Wyvern twice before taking it down. So I broke the thing's neck." He said to Daragalt.

Yuurei

The Knights had heard his words and when they inspected the wyvern it seemed like it was true indeed. They would grab onto the beast as they would start dragging it down and off the plateau. Yuurei looked over as he would have enjoyed grabbing something as a memento of what he had accomplished today. Still, he looked over to Daragalt who stood behind.

"Thank you for taking care of this for us. We should be able to be at peace for the time being now. There shouldn't be any missing people either I hope. Still, for taking on this request, here is the payment you deserve. I suggest you get patched up before heading onto your next adventure." Daragalt would say this as he would walk away and head down as well.

Yuurei would check the jewels to see that there was a lot in there. He would get up slowly as he also took the path down. His destination was different than everyone else and it was to see a medical mage who could patch him up.
