"No...no scratch that. You know what?!", she took a step forward, letting a hint of her magical powers, her mana flow around her in a slight visible hue. But it held intent. A wrathful heavy intent. "All of this belongs to me now. This is Sleeping Calamity property. Not your gangs, not the pitful magic users that were here before. But it belongs to us, and I will, personally crush all who endanger and threatens our subjects. Got it!?!".

The man began to take steps backwards, his facade of authority, power, and confidence melted ago into nothingness long ago. " ah um uh ah...".

"Go tell your boss that. and If he has an issue about it, we can fight about it. Now unless you wanna try and do something about it, or say something, how about you, take. Your. Men. And. Get. The. Hell. From. My. Sight".

"AH!! yes yes right away", in a whimper the man ran, doing some type of magic spell to grab the two unconscious fighters with a string before turning and running away, high tailing it out of dodge and out of sight from Jikan. She sighed, her temper coming down for the first time today.

-Many days later-

FFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRREEEE!!


Were all that Jikan could hear as she desperately tried to move with urgency into the nearby tranquility gardens. She had to do something. Anything, anything to put out the nearby fires that had spreaded in the garden house. As she dashed in, Jikan felt the heat produced by the intense flames. It resulted in a cold sweat to be formed on her brow and on her back. A few people who were trying to escape the fire ran past him as Jikan ran in.

Jikan tried to scan the room, but it was hard to focus. She could feel her lips become chapped and slightly cracked. She tried to call out to anyone nearby, but her voice had become raspy, unable to speak loud enough to really be beyond a whisper. Dang it. Coughing slightly, she grabbed the top of her shirt with her left hand, extending it so it covered her mouth and nose in an attempt to create a filter. But her throat still dried up, the heat was just feeling unbearable. The flames produced a thick gray smoke in the air, blocking out most things for her to see aspect distance flames and the ground a few feet in front of her.

The only clear thing to her were the calls of people nearby who called out for help with putting out fires. The sound of his heartbeat rang loud in her ears. Ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump. Ugh, today is going awful. And i thought today was going to be a wonderful day.

-Earlier that day-



The soft humming a soft tune was heard from many people out and about. On this new day, we see JIkan walking her way home; to Sleeping Calamity's guild's building. She was at the mine's doing a simple mission and stopped at a building not that long ago. She was in a cheerful mood, one slightly better than normal. She arrived there early today to look for a mission, something to do, a different one from the ones she always sees by the time she comes in the late afternoon or evening. And she succeeded! She found an interesting mission about an infestation needing clean up. People were coming back home and need houses open. All she had to do was remove them. An easy job, maybe she would do it with a guild member.
