The night was dark, the air was stiff, life was silent. The citizen's of the city within the territory Bosco seemed to be on their way to restarting their lives. The people Jikan found herself around seemed to be slowly recovering from the dragon's assault and side effects from the conflicts within Bosco for the throne and the Stella forces resisting Bosco's expansion. But Jikan was tense and uneasy about the situation. She wanted to help her desired heir, Cassia, but even more, the people she had interacted with her that was kind and respectful to her. But they were all in a dangerous situation.

The problems they faced were real and with lives on the line, Jikan wondered what she could do to help them. In the recent gossip within the town, there was the word of an increased number and intensity of Stellan resistance in Bosco. The natives of Stella were becoming stronger, their will strengthened in the aftermath of the defeat of the military might of the warrior heir prodigy Wilhelm. The collapse of that military might organizer and royal figurehead, would be catastrophic. To what level Jikan had yet to make a guess.

Every day started with the question, what will happen today. Attacks, raids, food being stolen, will it happen today? Every moment was a fresh beginning, a start, unfortunately, the mindset she was in and the reality of the probability of getting attacked. But at least everything that went up must come down, and every beginning was bound to an end. So things had to end and change eventually, Jikan just hoped that time would come under positive circumstances to her. But she had no idea on that outcome in the past nor the present, and she doubted that would change with the nearby future anytime soon.

For when you are dealing with life and stress, days went slow, and in hot flashes a day could go by in mere minutes, seconds even. Countless possibilities for what you could do, and even more filled with the possible outcomes from those situations and decisions. But she could not leave it up to that, chance, fate, hope; whatever they wanted to call it. She would work, she knew that actions changed chance, that was why Jikan was up this day so easily in the morning. She had to do what she could without wasting precious time.

That was why Jikan was up today, for it was early and soon then she would normally would in the day. She was up in the early morning, so early so that it was practically still night time, giving her ample time in the early night day so that she can do whatever she wanted without being hindered, seeing anyone, or wasting time.

The sky was still a bit black, a hint of warmth being to form because of the sun's cycled shift from night to day, but it was far from that time still and so, the air still felt dark and cold, but with warmth slowly approaching steadily. The sun is bound to rise, I need to hurry and do this now. Jikan hurried her steps, falling from walking steps to a jog-like stroll, to a half sprent through the paved streets and brick or wood assorted homes until she made her way through the thick bine and oak trees within the forest. As she ventured forward, onward, and onward with nature surrounding her, her vision slowly became accustomed to the darkness that made up the night life. It was still not perfect sight, but she was becoming to not have sight that was not completely clouded.
