Floor of the Vile Minotaurs

The enemies of this floor are Vile Minotaurs. Standing 2.5 meters tall, these gargantuan monsters boast unparalleled physical strength. Usually wielding large battle axes, these half-men half-bull beasts are able to deal devastating charging attacks against their victims. Even if not the smartest of creatures, their raw power and natural resistance to magic attacks makes them one of the most dangerous monsters to fight.

Floor Description: The Floor of the Vile Minotaurs appears as a gargantuan labyrinth. Magical in nature, the walls of the labyrinth can bend and shape in different forms to ensure that any person inside will never find the way out. The walls extend all the way to the 5-meter-tall ceiling, making sure it is impossible to climb or fly above them.

Objective: As soon as you enter the labyrinth, each of the members of the party will find themselves isolated. A magic bracelet will materialize on each of the adventurer’s arm, with a fractured gem that glows with a faint light. When the bracelet detects another bracelet wearer coming closer, the gem shard will glow brighter. Reunite the 4 gem shards together to dissipate the labyrinth’s illusion and escape through the large door that appears at the end.

Difficulty: Hard or Hardcore

Enemies: There are 4 Vile Minotaurs roaming across the labyrinth. They have particularly strong natural sensory magic, able to sense physical and magic beings in a 25-meter radius. They are equipped with Unique-grade battle axes and boast minor magical resistance. As soon as they detect an intruder coming within their surroundings, they will deal a devastating charge with their horns and are even able to break through the labyrinth's walls.

Hidden Objective: Each participant may roll one dice after each post starting at their 2nd post. Should they roll a number above 95 they claim a Custom Unique. The first person in the team rolling above 95 gets the reward. Others are no longer eligible.

Kurisa combed her hair as she gazed straight at the dungeon stairs. She just got teleported here so she assumed that her party will be here at any moment. Did she know everyone in her party? Not really, but she will soon enough.  Her lilac icy eyes looked tiredly upward as the door was open and ready for them. She slowly walked towards the first set of stairs as she went up to them. Who came after she did not matter, but she paid close attention to them once they appeared - teleporting out of nowhere. Once they got close to the door they were instantly teleported to their dungeon.

She imagined that would be how it went, but it didn't. Right from her spot in Hosenka she was instantly teleported to the dungeon. It was gloomy and small in her opinion. The walls went only five meters high as the width was about five to seven meters wide. To some that was large, but since she was a tall Nephilim it was rather the opposite. Kurisa had her hair up in her ponytail that was braided back. In her hair was a red flower that stayed in place while her scarf that was attached to her white tunic with grey/black side-lines. It had a Gladiator look to it but it was for women. Her shoes were woven-laced up shoes with a golden brown color.

Her arms crossed as she waited for her other comrades, teammates or whatever some want to call it. She did not want to go ahead of them though so she was just prepared in case something arrived. She imagined the last thing she recalled doing, but then blushed as she thought about it. Her face turned red like a tomato, glancing away. She did not bring Momo due to the fact that she had no use here. She was only decent to have around quests since she was able to get more money, but for now, she will stay home with Leika.

Her attention awoken as she smelt some sort of mildew as the stone rock walls were not fully dry. Swiftly, she kicked the ground and saw some after-dust. So it just wasn't hard floors in here which one could assume it was by the looks of it. How long has it been since someone else was in here? How long will they last as they went about their way in here and will they last? Her eyes gazed at three large holes that acted as doors for her or perhaps also her enemies. Which way will they go once everyone arrives?

Ko Lesalt

It was rare that Ko got a chance to work with Guild Mages on a job this big.  He didn't blame them, of course; guilds had a lot of expenses, and sharing them with a no-name mercenary like himself wasn't good business sense.  The fact that he'd been approached at all was a sign of just how important this undertaking was being treated.  Of course, plundering old ruins didn't exactly sound like a good time to him, but he'd heard some crazy things about this so called 'Treasury'.  He could only hope that there was something challenging inside.

While he'd been prepared for the sudden teleportation to the ruins, it was Ko's first time being teleported in any capacity, and the sensation wasn't entirely pleasant.  He spent the next few moments after arriving checking to ensure all of his parts were still attached.  "Ugh, teleportation.  No thanks.  I'd rather walk a hundred miles than do that again."  Though he hadn't been speaking to anyone in particular, he got an answer from his left.

"You don't walk anywhere, you ask me to carry you.  Like a pack mule."  As expected, Nantosuelta was there as well, taking up a considerable amount of space all on her own and just as surly as Ko was after the unusual method of transportation.  Ko, naturally, just scoffed and gave her snout a firm pat.  "Pack mules carry luggage, Nan."  Nantosuelta merely snapped at his hand in retort, prompting Ko to take his win and leave it.

Seeing that he and Nantosuelta weren't alone, Ko moved to meet the first arrival from their particular exploration team.  "So you're from Daeva Eye, right?  Ko Lesalt, nice to meet you.  That's Nan."  He gestured at himself and at his Flamewyrm companion, who in turn bristled at his brusque introduction.  "Its Nantosuelta!"  "Right, Nan."  Ignoring the Flamewyrm's glares, Ko observed the dungeon's entrance speculatively.  "Not as impressive as I thought it'd be.  It looks...small."  It stood to reason that the interior would be much more impressive.  Or at least, that's what Ko hoped.  If it turned out to be empty after all this pomp and circumstance he'd be very disappointed.

Her eyes glided across the dark exterior which showcased itself underneath the minimal light that befell upon it. The Bellan was simply taking a leisurely walk in the city of Hosenka, ready to get back to work after a few days of rest but it appeared that fate had a different plan. She had known that she would be taking part in an adventure but the details of it were practically unknown to her. She didn't know who her teammates would be nor about the task that they had to accomplish. It all posed as one big question mark.

Her steps fumbled slightly as she made the unexpected landing in front of the dungeon, cursing under her breath at the suddenness of the phenomenon. Once she had laid eyes on it, she was more disgusted than frightened as the structure simply seemed so dull and mundane. "Perhaps the inside will be more interesting." With a small plea, disguised as a statement, she walked through the dark entrance. Her floral white dress, in which she sauntered through the streets of Hosenka, was still on her body as the situation didn't really allow her the time to change but luckily, she had everything she already needed. The white dress was overlapped with a long, black robe that reached just below her knees. Xandra's neck was adorned with a small, fiery necklace which stood out in comparison to her outfit while her outlandish pink hair was tied back with the black band that sat on top of her head, with short strands falling around and framing her face.

The sound of her shoes clacking against the dark, yet dusty, concrete floors were submerged underneath the muffled voices that she heard. And obviously, unknowing of whether it was her allies or enemies, she went ahead and followed the sound. Her steps halted once she had seen a familiar figure, Kurisa, which ensured her that this group was filled with her fellow adventurers. However, it didn't take long for her attention to be captured by the big, beautiful dragon. "I wonder if it's gonna fit in here...", she muttered to herself while taking a look around the compressed vicinity in wonderment. When the dragon spoke, she snapped out of her thoughts, waiting for the young man next to the dragon to finish speaking. If she had heard it right, his name was Ko.

"I see I'm already late to the introduction." With a smile, she walked up to the duo. She would wait for Kurisa to introduce herself and follow after, "I'm Xandra Queen from Daeva Eye." It was more so directed towards Ko, and anyone else who would've joined within this time. She simply hoped this adventure would be far more interesting than what she had anticipated, or what she was presented with so far at least.

It took almost five whole minutes before Éta realised they were no longer in Myras City, it took an extra two minutes on top of that to realise they were kneeling on a murky cold floor, and was definitely not on their way to explore Avvar mountains, like they had planned in doing so this day for a couple of hours. Thirdly, they had realised that some wack as hell magic had sent them way off course and into an unknown territory, something that Étaoin was very cautious of doing, although they did sign up for that notice that was pinned to the board in the districts Myras had. Something about dungeon diving or other, that a guild needed a few helping hands on. There was a reward in the end, and some things just never changed for Éta because soon enough their name was down on the list.

Rubbing their arms, Étaoin quietly cussed at them-self for the choice of clothing they were wearing, although it wasn’t really their fault on that, considering that the weather was a little more warmer in Myras today. The black turtleneck crop reached to their midriff, whilst their lower half was covered by their usual go to skort, the shorts stopping mid-thigh, just showing off the branding that they so much liked to cover. Headband firmly around their head, holding those stubborn unruly green strands in place. Though they were dressed like this, that didn’t mean that Éta didn’t take a jacket or anything along with them for nothing, after all they were meant to be exploring a mountain range before this mishap happened. Right they had a jacket, it would be a smart idea to put said jacket on.
Lifting themselves to their feet, dusting off their clothing, pulling their hooded grey overcoat on, Éta glanced around the area they had been magically transported to once again, their purple gaze taking in what they could see, which was not much considering how dark and murky it was. Eventually their ears began to pick up small echoes coming from another area of this murky place, blinking, and without even realising Étaoin’s barely covered feet, sighing to themselves as they glanced at their poor choices of footwear. "Footless socks. Really, what were you thinking Étaoin?" Well it was too late now to go and change their shoes, not since said poorly covered feet were taking them towards these new echoes.

“Hello?” Pausing when they saw the other three people, blinking in a little confusion. It wasn’t like Étaoin actually paid attention to who had requested the help, or who was probably joining in on helping this guild, but oh well. Hearing the foreign language, Éta figured it was probably the language of this country. “Oh... 'Sup, uh sooo… I’m Étaoin Rynn… The one that agreed in helping, because I am an idiot like that sometimes… Whom may you all be? I think I missed your introductions…”

I am sweet and spicy, but at least I am free.
It more than what I could say, for some of you humans.

Kurisa

Megami

People started to arrive. First, it was a male who had some sort of dragon. She wished she could have brought Levi with her, but sadly he was too big and could only fly in the sky. He introduced himself as Ko and then his dragon who had a name as well. It was normal though to give your companion a name. She was curious about how momo was doing since she had to think about both of their lives. She was getting to the point where she probably will do better with some rich bitch who could take her to competitions. Momo defiantly will win.

Kurisa herself had to get stronger and destroy 'him'. He was on her mind, imagining taking everything from him, but if she was going, to be honest... everything was already taken. He was just some empty shell. Her head went back to reality as she gave him a somewhat warm stare. "Kurisa to be exact," she spoke in her breathy Italian accent. "I doubt it's here to impress you, but instead to home things that we will probably run into." She shrugged tiredly and then cornered her eyes as the others appeared. Xandra came after Ko, and then another appeared who was talking to themselves or it seemed like it. Eta was speaking Joyan as she heard Leika speak it as well. It seemed that more people from Joya was arriving than she anticipated.

Sin felt much worse than Joya. As this was happening Xandra was introducing herself to Ko and then Eta who joined them. "Welcome, Eta - if you're fine with me shortening it." She spoke warm and motherly, lifting her arm and hand outward towards them. Her lilac eyes were like a pool of divine lilac light. Her plump lips smiled happily and then turned towards the three paths. "So right to business then. Which way should we go? I feel like no matter which way - we'll find danger for sure which I'm fine with. Just uh, don't drown, hopefully, you can swim." Was all she was going to say. When people needed to be eliminated, she was another person - more sinister.

Kurisa. Kurisa...Ko couldn't help but feel like he should have recognized that name. Admittedly, Ko was terrible at keeping up with guild politics and news involving them in general, so it wasn't much of a surprise that he didn't recognize her. Still, his instincts were telling him that she was no pushover. Considering she didn't look like much of a warrior at all, Ko figured heeding his instincts would be for the best. Sometimes the strongest people were also the most unassuming.

As usual Nan was remaining mostly aloof, barely even paying attention as two more people arrived. They were both women, which didn't surprise Ko; he didn't know much about guilds, but he knew Daeva Eye was an all female guild. Odd, but they were pretty prominent, so it must be working for them. He met Xandra and Etaoin's polite introductions with one of his own, giving his own name and Nan's again. Etaoin, however, gave him a bit of pause. Not just because they'd been speaking another language, but because on close inspection he wasn't quite as certain they were a woman.

Still, they seemed a decent sort. Ko knew all about getting in over one's head, and the comment got him grinning. "You're only in over your head if you take the time to look up. Just relax, I'm sure there's nothing inside the four of us can't handle." He gave Eta an encouraging clap on the back, returning his attention to Kurisa as she brought up the elephant in the room.

With three different paths to choose from, the implicit question was: which path lead them where they wanted to go? It was, naturally, impossible to tell just from looking at them. They were utterly identical, at least to Ko's eyes, and he knew nothing about what they were supposed to be looking for other than 'riches', or whatever one keeps inside a Treasury. He did wonder at Kurisa's choice of words. "I'll skip the swimming, thanks. Heavy armor doesn't mix well with water."

Ko knocked on his heft armor to display its weight. It was fairly new, and it affected Ko's speed still, but not as much as it might affect a wearer who was untrained. It didn't really match the sword on his hip, which even sheathed seemed like it had a savage construction. Was the wielder more like his armor or his weapon? "As for whatever might be waiting for us, I can't imagine it'll be much different depending on which path we take. I say the middle. Simple enough."

Golden hues, which appeared to be a dull shade of grey amidst the dull walls, scanned the area. There were three entrances, fading off into darkness without even giving them the option of taking a sneak peek into the long, dark corridors. There appeared to be no way to decide which path to take, at least none that wouldn't cause their brains to go into an endless spiral of doubt. The peculiar group that had gathered was finally complete when the last member walked in, introducing themselves as Étaoin. It was a unique name and with the joyan words they had spoken, it was clear that they weren't from Fiore. However, that didn't matter. The atmosphere, contrary to her expectation, was rather lax and enlightened as these introductions were passed around. Each of the members, including herself looked rather relaxed which dissipated her nervousness regarding their abilities, especially of the two unknown members.

Nevertheless, it was time for them to embark on the journey they were here for. The Bellan suppressed the urge to address the real elephant in the room, which wasn't the conundrum over which path to take but rather the presence of a large, beautiful and seemingly nonchalant dragon. In her years of adventure, she hadn't ever come across a man simply waltzing around with a dragon but then again, none of the others seemed to even notice it so she simply let go of it. She would probably have plenty of time to get to know this group of oddballs. Right now, an adventure awaited her.

She nodded along to the words spoken by the two, waiting for Ko to finish. "He's right. It's probably some cheap trick to make us think we have a choice. All paths would probably lead to the same outcome. Of course, I doubt we'll be able to find that out." Xandra smiled, clapping her hands in front of her, "If we're gonna take a gamble anyways, let's do it as boldly as we can." She started walking towards the middle entrance, halting and taking a look behind her to see if the others were following.

Actually, it had been a while since the enchantress had simply gone berserk on an adventure, so long that she actually started to miss it. The past year and more had been brimming with workload from the guild but with this opportunity, she was rather excited. Her feelings weren't particularly hidden as a grin was plastered on her lips, possibly making her seem crazy but that was the least of her worries right now. "Let's go take a look at what lies at the end of this path."

Étaoin stood there, staring at the people in front of them, not sure on how to react much. They were all speaking the same foreign language, and even though Éta understood the language somewhat, it was still difficult for them to process all the words they were saying, so the teen felt like they were missing vital information to some point. How they wished that Masami was here, maybe he could translate for them, but alas they boy was probably doing something with his guild. ”Uhm… Éta is fine…”Cringing a little when they spoke in the language they knew the most. ”Crap, sorry.” Scratching their head, Étaoin glanced at all three of them, and bit their tongue softly, inhaling through their nose to calm down a little. ”Éta s'fine… It's nice to meet... you all?” They were too sure on why, but Étaoin felt safe, somehow with the one named Kurisa, which was very strange since they had never really gotten along with adults that much through their years.

When they were approached by the man that was with them, unconsciously Étaoin took a weary small step back, not sure on what he was going to do. Glancing at him a little nervously, before feeling the hand land on their back, almost causing Étaoin to fall, though they easily kept their balance and only stumbled slightly more towards the lady who had spoken to them first. ”Please don’t do that again… It kinda hurts.” Grumbling a little, they soon straightened up and turned towards the three entry ways presented to them. Turning towards the creature that was with Ko, Étaoin seemed a little weary of this strange presence as well, as they had never seen something like this before, only in books that they would read during their childhood. Éta really didn’t expect them to be real, then again, they didn’t expect mages to be real either but look what happened. ”What are you?” Staring straight at the giant beast, Étaoin bowed their head a little in respect and also wondered how it would react.

It wasn’t until the other lady began to speak up about the entrances that paid attention more to their teammates than the pretty creature, gracing them with its presence. Honestly Étaoin didn’t know much about places, but they did know a few things about sneaking around areas they were really meant to, let's just blame it on imaginative childhood adventures. Snorting at what Ko had said about choosing middle then left or right, was stupid. “It’s like a fork in the road…” They remembered the words of the mage when it came to situations like this, how he had taught Étaoin to deal with them. Lifting their hands to their mouth as they thought it over, Éta kept their gaze on the entrances. ‘A person always went towards the area that had more of an oceanic scent to it, hoping to get better results.’ Frowning, they soon just mumbled their opposition towards the suggestion. ”Middle isn’t always right… I'm not saying you're wrong... but what if two loop back around…?” Blinking at the three, Étaoin dropped their arms and tilted their head. ”People think that end tunnels link and loop…” It was said in a sort of awkward and nervous tone, as they fiddled with the cuffs of their sleeves. ”but what if the middle actually loops back to one of the other entrances…?” They did it again. They switched languages, why are they nervous, this wasn’t them, they were more snarky than this. ”What if they don't all lead to the same spot?” Glancing away, Étaoin deflated a little, and rubbed their neck, ”Though... I’m good with either way, so lead the way…”

Kurisa

Megami

Kurisa looked at all of them and since she did not want to act like the boss, one in charge she wanted to at least ask where they wanted to go. Their attitudes felt different as they seemed to just not care. It was as if they were here for the ride. Her lilac eyes shifted towards Xandra who then picked the middle which seemed reasonable. Not only did you just have to walk straight and not towards the side, but it was also the first thing that caught everyone's attention. She followed behind Xandra as they went inside alongside the other two, Eta and Ko. Eta was somewhat unsure of picking the middle due to the fact that it could loop. That's not the noticeable thing for Kuri though.

Eta kept switching languages, one she knew and one that she did not know. The further they went in the darker it got as it only had lights here and there from torches. "I wonder who keeps these lit up all the time." she curiously wondered softly. She made sure to watch everything around her, even the floors. Dungeons were good with traps and the fact that this was not supposed to be easy was enough evidence of monsters and traps here. As they got deeper a small quake erupted as the cave hall started to release some rocks from the ceiling, crumbling onto the floor. It lasted a few seconds, but as she stood there she saw a T-section. She turned to the left.

Another quake happened yet this time it sounded louder and lasted longer. Her head turned "Hey I guess we sh-" she was about to say, but she saw no one but herself. Her eyes looked at her bracelet that was no longer glowing. She went along away from everyone else it seemed. No one but herself was around. Was she alone maybe this whole time as the party she was with this whole time was an illusion? Her mind had a thing with drifting, being in some other world, or place as she did normal things.

She turned to go back, but the cave collapsed towards that direction so she went towards the way she originally went for.

Their discussions about which initial path to take seemed to be going rather succinctly. The other woman, Xandra, seemed eager to get into the dungeon itself and explore, which honestly Ko could understand. They'd have to face whatever dangers were waiting for them inside eventually anyway. Better to be decisive about it than to waffle about in uncertainty. Kurisa, the one Ko was most wary of, seemed to have to same outlook; or rather, she didn't seem to want to take charge of the group, which he supposed was fair.

Eta, the confusing one, was the only one to openly speak to Nantosuelta, even going so far as to bow their head in respect. Immediately, Nantosuelta looked less bored with the proceedings and seemed to start preening. "Finally, someone who appreciates greatness when they see it. I am the Sovereign of Fatal Peak! Heir to Draconic Majesty!" Ko, standing nearby, rolled his eyes and put his face in his hands. "Please don't get her started.
What she means is that she's not a Dragon, she's a Flamewyrm."

Nantosuelta leveled a glare at Ko that was literally smoldering, smoke leaking into the air from her nostrils. "Again with that flippant tone. I should give you a nice burn to remind you of your place!" Ko, entirely unperturbed, just reached out a hand and placed it on her head, rubbing near the base of her enormous horns. "I'll sing your praises as much as you want later; but we've got a job to do right now, okay?" As if by magic, Nantosuelta's entire demeanor seemed to become almost...bashful, and she turned her head as if averting her gaze. "...Deal."

As the conversation returned to their potential pathways, Eta seemed the most concerned about potential tricks and traps, which wasn't unreasonable either. Ko took a second to consider what they were saying. "You've got a good point; whoever built this place was probably the nefarious trickster sort. Still, just going off the outside I don't think we can determine if one path loops around or leads somewhere we don't like. The only way for us to get information is to go in. Besides, if the path we choose does loop around, all we'll have lost is some time, and we'll know which path is the correct one. Seems like a decent trade-off to me."

Nantosuelta chose then to chime in. "You're trying to make a decent argument, but I can tell you really just want to get inside." Ko shot her a glare, but didn't really disagree either. He was eager to get inside, after all. With Xandra and Kurisa stepping forward into the center path, Ko and Nantosuelta followed suit, descending into the dungeon proper for the first time.

The environment definitely had a 'dungeon' quality to it. Everything was dark, and the only light came from the torches on the walls. It was definitely a tight fit with all five of them as well. Suddenly, the floor began to shiver during their advance, causing some rocks to begin falling from the ceiling. As Ko rushed along after Kurisa, he began to fall slightly behind thanks to being weighed down by his equipment. Then, a second quake hit, just as Kurisa turned down a T-shaped intersection in the path. Ko immediately went to step back, hoping to avoid the cave-in, when the stone his foot landed on suddenly sank in slightly.

A magic circle appeared around him and Nantosuelta, filling the corridor with light, before he and the Flamewyrm vanished altogether. The reappeared in another, almost identical hallway, at a dead end. At the end of the hall, Ko could see another junction, and he sighed heavily. "Great. Its a Labyrinth. And its got Teleportation traps. Perfect." He hadn't yet noticed the bracelet on his arm yet, more concerned with what his next step should be.

It seemed as if at least three people within the team were in agreement but the points that Étaoin brought up did seem fairly plausible. They expressed hesitance but their words made sense. Regardless, it didn't particularly change her view that they would have to go inside and explore. Granted, danger possibly laid ahead but it wasn't a situation where they could weigh their options because frankly, even they didn't know what their options were. Their only possibility of getting anywhere would be to take a risk. Luckily, it appeared as if she wasn't the only one who thought so. The dragon man, Ko, also seemed to think as he spoke while she simply nodded along. Nevertheless, as they were working as a team, she didn't think it was a particularly good idea to do something unless they all agreed and fortunately, the kid did too, albeit hesitantly.

Since they all came back to the same conclusion, the Bellan decided to keep her lips sealed unless needed otherwise. Not being especially good at teamwork, she was more of a individualist who liked to roll solo or preferred to work with one more person at most. It was easier. For a moment, she even felt as if her eagerness, along with everyone's agreement, might have been what persuaded Étaoin into agreeing rather than their own confidence in the idea. If her actions would cause any harm, she'd much rather prefer that it be limited to just herself. But now, she was in a situation where she couldn't simply do what she wanted because she had a team to work with.

Turning around, she continued walking down the path which they had decided to go down on. Beyond her laid darkness, which was fighting against the light from the old, rusty torches that hung on the wall, and the silence of the vicinity submerged within the echoes for the footsteps she could hear. As they sauntered ahead, they came across a T-section which separated the path into further divisions. Before they even had the chance to decide which direction to head towards, light quakes shook the ground, increasing their intensity with each passing moment. Pieces of rubble fell from the ceiling, diverting her attention to the roof which was about to collapse. "Get out of the way everyone." She yelled as the roof collapsed, causing a cave-in.

In a hurry, she had moved to the right but the collapse had covered their previous location with rocks and rubble. The commotion of rocks falling upon each other echoed through the narrow corridors, drowning out any other sound. Her hand reached towards the mountain of rocks, wondering if they could somehow destroy it. As Xandra parted her lips to let out a sound, wondering if they could hear her, a bright white light captivated her attention as a magic circle formed underneath her feet.

She closed her eyes for what felt like a moment and the next thing she knew, she was in a different place. The tall walls and narrow corridors were identical to their previous location but what gave away the fact that this was an entirely different location was the wall in front of her, standing where the pile of rocks had formed a blockage. Her hand rested on the rusty wall, falling off just as quickly as the grains of sand and dust stuck to her fingers. With a frown, she brushed it off her hands. It was then that she noticed the presence of a bracelet that rested on her wrist. It hadn't been a part of the equipment she had adorned. The silver, inflexible band encircled her wrist as a large ruby settled in the center of it. The gem was shrouded in darkness, expressing neither the life nor beauty that its kind normally radiates. She tried slipping it off her wrist but it didn't budge, almost as if it was glued to her hand.

What was still unclear was task they had to accomplish. There were no rules, nor was there any information. They only thing she knew was that they were all separated with these odd wristbands in their possession. Xandra sighed, realizing her only way of finding out would be to move forward.

“You’re welcome… Your majesty, I like your colour, it’s pretty.” Étaoin smiled at the Wyrm, but turned towards the rest of the team. “Though maybe we should just… Get this over with?” They had all seemed to finally agree on choosing the middle tunnel, although Étaoin was still albeit weary of this choice, the younger followed the rest of the team. It wasn’t really like they had any other choice in the matter anyway, considering that they were literally teleported to this weird murky area.

At first, Éta kept themselves closer towards the one they seemed to be more comfortable with, which was Kurisa, but not too close that it was uncomfortable. Falling into place behind them, sort of between Kurisa and the Wyrm. Ko, was talking about things beforehand, but they couldn’t grab everything, as they were still learning Fiorian in general. Purple hued eyes glanced around the dimmed light of the torches, though their interest soon turned back towards the Wyrm. Étaoin liked the creature, and maybe they could become friends even if they were human and the other was a formerly thought of myth to the young adult. Though when the pretty lady had started to kind of steer away from the group, Étaoin panicked a little and was about to call out to Kurisa, only for the other lady to yell on moving out of the way, or something.

The rumbles soon reached beneath Étaoin’s feet, as they glanced around noticing the small trembles in the walls and the ceiling. When the rocks began to less sparsely and alot more like a rain shower, Étaoin quickly stumbled out of the way before the ceiling collapsed on them. Plastering themselves against the dirt wall, coughing from the small cloud of dust produced once the cave-in had finished, turning back towards the now wall of rubble, and the walls surrounding them, they felt panic begin to settle in the pit of their gut, and slowly rise up towards their respiratory area. “G-Guys! Hello!” Tracing a hand over the walls, as they tried to find a way out, before choking out a quiet mutter of “Not again!” As they began to slowly panic. Their thoughts dawdling onto past events with their teacher. “Is this a trick of his? W-was the whole request a lie?!”

Soon enough the blinding light happened once more, the same light as before which brought Étaoin to this place, just for them to be dumped into another area completely. A much more confined area, with a route that only seemed to be leading in one direction. Glancing behind them, confirmed it was a one way route, when the rustic wall stood tall in replace of rubble. “I… I need to find… The others…” Still feeling the panic rising inside them, as they stayed close to one wall, a hand trailing along the dirt, lines being left in the residue. It was only then they noticed their own bracelet. Étaoin didn’t remember if they saw one around the wrist of the others before the whole fiasco. It didn’t matter now though, because the gem seemed to be dead and, when Étaoin tugged at the bracelet, pausing in their steps, it didn’t seem to want to budge. “Just great. Dead bracelet, one way route system… and to top it off, there is just not enough space!” Lifting their hood over their head, Étaoin tugged their sleeves over their hands, and began, continuing their walk forward. ”Can’t deal. Need to escape!” Wrapping their arms around themselves, Éta tried to calm their breathing, but their senses had already piqued.

The cave seemed dark, but not dark enough to where she couldn't see linings of the area. Her arms crossed against her chest while her eyes wandered the area in which was new to her. When new things arrived she had this thing where she had to study it rather it's; objects, nature or even people. Her arms reached out towards each end in which kept getting smaller and smaller the further she walked. Her lilac eyes gazed straight as she felt the rubble of the cave during her steady walk. The light of her bracelet was still dim, no one was near her. It was too soon was it not?

Several moments later she encountered a Devil's Fork, out of the three she could just go anywhere, but she had to choose. Her eyes closed as she walked towards the left which in this case had the same amount of letters as Hell. But if left was hell, what was Right? Was it just right since it didn't fit in with 'Heaven' or did that mean there was no heaven? She went further deep into the path as her eyes widened to see a large round room. In front of a hall there kneeled a large beast. He was 2.5 meters tall, right knee down, and left knee up. Its eyes were closed and in his hand was a large ax.

She did not move a muscle as their eyes opened immediately.

Ko Lesalt

With a dead end at his back, Ko didn't have many options. The longer he waited where he was, the higher the chance he gets permanently separated from the others. Or worse, abandoned and left behind. He was just a mercenary after all. In the end, all he and Nantosuelta could do was move on and explore the area they'd been transported to.

The Labyrinth was definitely well made. All of the walls were identical in their smoothness, to the point that if Ko closed his eyes and spun around he'd probably be hard pressed to tell which direction he'd come from once they lost sight of the dead end. Of course, Nantosuelta seemed to care hardly at all about the situation; she was accustomed to traversing small tunnels like this, and clearly didn't worry about her ability to find an exit.

After some time passed, they finally came to an intersection, and Ko decided to utilize an ancient Joyan method of choosing a direction. Drawing his hooked blade, Ko place the tip on the ground and then released it, watching to see which way the sword fell. It fell to the right almost immediately, thus choosing the path Ko would take. As he stooped to pick the blade up, however, a distant sound made him pause. It was almost human, yet it sounded eerily akin to the braying of a cow or bull.

"What the hell..." Ko grabbed his sword, keeping it drawn as he strained his ears to hear any further sounds. Instead of another beast-like cry, he heard the sound of shattering stone, followed by trembling in the ground that suggested the rocks were falling relatively nearby. A few seconds passed, and the sound came again, this time much closer. Realization struck Ko just in time for him to fall back into the hallway he'd just traversed.

His decision had been just in time, for a moment later the wall Ko had been standing next to exploded outwards, showering the area with shards of broken stone. As the dust cleared, Ko could make out the shape of a man with a bull's head, towering at nearly 8 feet tall and wielding an ornate axe that seemed extremely dangerous. Ko couldn't hold back the grin growing on his face. "Now this is more like it!"

The seething silence dominated the narrow, murky hallways that were built from old rusty rocks. Nevertheless, the tips of her fingers, which caressed the surface of those walls as she walked, could tell that they would not be easily broken. The place where she was trapped in seemed to be a maze. The Bellan couldn't help but assume that this place wanted the team to be separated as they were, also, most likely to be in a similar place but at a completely different location. Her golden hues traveled back to the gem that rested on her wrist, still as dull as the first time she laid eyes on it.

Her emotions ran rampant during this time. A part of her was worried about her new teammates. While she had known that Kurisa was fairly powerful, she was utterly clueless regarding the extent of the abilities of the other two. Regardless, it'd not like she had much of a choice but to trust them. She was sure that they would all find their destination. This brought her to wonder what exactly their destination was. Yet again, her eyes glanced back at the gemstone on her bracelet as it was the only clue the dungeon had given her. Perhaps it would light up, or act as some sort of indicator, once she was close.

It was nothing more than a mere assumption that she had but it was her only clue. Her instincts told her to use the gem as her compass and in a situation where her thoughts chased endless paths, it was her best course of action. Xandra sauntered through the long and dark corridors, occasionally coming across the fire torches that were stuck to the walls. However, as she stepped closer to the torch, she couldn't feel the heat from the fire and assumed that it was magic; magic meant to simply light the path.

Just as she felt that she was getting nowhere, the path divided further into three more paths, giving her the option of going either straight, to her left or to the right. She halted her steps, standing at the center of division with her arms crossed. Her gaze glided over the different paths and each of them looked exactly identical. Unfortunately for her, this time, she couldn't choose any random path and hope for the best. She had somewhere to be, albeit a location still unknown to her. Pursing her lips together, she wondered if she should take a risk and choose yet another random path but that seemed boring now.

It was then that the idea struck her. Why bother choosing a path when she can let the path choose her? Given the distant rumors and tales she had heard of dungeons, she speculated that there lived some monsters within this place. If that was true, then she could make the monster find her. Nevertheless, it was still nothing more than a speculation. Now, it was time to test it out. Planting her foot on the ground as hard as she could, she cupped her hands around her lips and sharply inhaled. "Come out, come out, wherever you are."

Her voice echoed through the walls, travelling for what felt like miles. Once the echoes had died down, an eerie tranquility followed as she waited, with her senses heightened. "Hmm, I guess I was wrong." Just as she was about the disregard her speculation, she heard loud, rage-filled thuds. It was as if someone, or something, was marching towards her. The ground on which she stood quaked lightly, the intensity of which increased with every step. Something was coming but she didn't know from where. It felt as if the sounds were coming from all four directions. "Oh boy, here we go."

They didn't know how much time had passed since the split between the team that they had joined for this challenge, and it was something that was in their mind, but it was not the thing that was at the forefront of their thoughts. Continuing their walk down the corridor before them, lights similar to the ones in the tunnel they advanced in beforehand, Étaoin still continued to drag their hand along the wall as they headed onwards. Raising their purple eyes, the muttering that they were spewing in a panicked state of mind, stopped when they came to a crossroads. "Perfect." Glancing down each one path handed to them, at this point, Étaoin felt like crying. Mazes and Labyrinths are not their strong suit. Next time, Étaoin was definitely going to read the description of a request at least quadruple as many times as they did on this one.

Crossroads were the worst legend they were taught about. Crossroads could lead to anything appearing, from supernatural entities like; ghosts and demons, all the way to creatures you would only believe as myths. Étaoin had not a single clue to what was going to be presented to them in this case. After all this was a magical maze, if you went by what had happened to the group so far. Taking a calming breath, even though that sensation of panic and fear was overpowering everything else, Étaoin had to try their best to calm themselves. Considering now that there was obviously something else in this maze with them. They just needed this to be over so they could acquire some clarity.

Taking another deep breath, Étaoin stood dead centre between each four paths. The path behind them is a useless dead end, they paid no heed to that route. The three set before them, they could feel they were not alone, it was obvious they were not alone. Somewhere in this maze was the rest of Étaoin's team, but there had to be something else within the maze. It was at that moment that this unknown presence decided to make itself known to Étaoin. First it was small tremors through the ground. Then the small stones from the walls and ceiling that had come loose over the years in the labyrinth started to tremble on the ground. Lastly that groan had Étaoin opening their eyes, and glancing towards the routes around them. Where was it coming from? What path do they take to avoid this creature? The footsteps were becoming more obvious with the more time that Étaoin dawdled over picking and choosing, sucking up a breath, Éta just let out a frustrated yell. Left it is. Turning on their heels, Étaoin ran for the left path.

The further they went the more the trembles became prominent. They were being chased. The sound of rocks collapsing was heard behind them was the sign that confirmed it, along with the loud roar. Pausing in their pace, purple eyes gazed upon the creature before them, letting out a nervous laugh of almost despair. "I'll never say this again, but hell am I glad he taught me." Standing before them was a giant Minotaur, at least three times the size of Étaoin. Donning a unique styled axe, and horns that had obviously caused the collateral damage further behind them. "Welp... No turning back now... Time to run!"

It more than what I could say, for some of you humans.

Kurisa gazed at it as she has never seen one before. So many mythical beasts such as her Leviathan yet she has not seen a Minotaur. He stayed in that pose like a statue, but the debris from their heavy breathing could be seen as the dust and leftover cave minerals were motioned towards her like a dust wave. The cave quaked once more as the minotaur motioned up, pounded the bottom of his ax against the ground. Swiftly, she turned around and ran as fast as she could. "Oh shit." She spoke softly to herself. Sure strength was not her best suite, but Speed was closest to being the second. Her blonde hair waved through the air as she ran as fast as she could.

The earthquake was getting more intense, assuming the beast was getting closer to her. The area was collapsing again as she then turned towards the direction she chose to not go to. Her eyes were lit as she saw that the gem was getting brighter. Was she near someone?

Rolled 8

She tripped over a rock that was suddenly undodgeable. It didn't take long for her to get back up though, but that did not mean he wasn't closer than he was at first. He was really behind. Did he gets lost at first? She didn't care as she kept on running. Finally, she found a large room again. Did she just go around? The path that he blocked before was now open though, but it was too late as he caught up. He did a hard stop as they were about ten meters away. What will Kurisa do exactly? Well...

Her eyes batted as she blushed, smiling while looking at him. "You know, I never knew how fast and strong your kind were, or are you the strongest?" She questioned shyly.

Did it work?

Rolled 20

The minotaur huffed with a mighty breath and chuckled. "Hahaha, I am, truly." He spoke in a dark deep voice. He patted his chest with his free hand. "I am better than all of them in here.". So there was more than just him. Her gem was lighting up even brighter. What if the other Minotaur caught this one talking crap about the others? Kurisa slowly put a few strands of her hair behind her hair to give off her charisma. "I could beat all of them with my mighty strength and Ax. They do not dare to go against me, but now you... You, I would let free, but --" She did not know who, but another arrived in that same very path that was blocked in the first place.
