Zane reached into his wallet to pay for the sandwich he had just gobbled down a moment ago. 1000 jewels. It was a pretty good meal, in all honesty. Slipping his hands into his wallet, Zane picked out what was seemingly the very last bill and handed it to the waitress, soon after leaving the restaurant. "Was that the last of our money?!" Beelzebub nervously inquired, the demon of greed anxious of the possibility of their funds having finally ran out. Zane pulled into a nearby alleyway, double checking that what he saw in his wallet was reality and not just an illusion.

It was real.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Zane's scream echoed throughout a solid third of Oak's perimeter, the eyepatched man's sorrow practically filling every street between here and Majura Gallery. An additional "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" came from Beelzebub, though this one could only be heard by Zane's brain. A brain that was rather small now that he really thought on it; he hadn't even imagined he was this low on funds, yet here he was with literally nothing left. Zane's scream eventually ended, his hands resting on his knees as he bent down a bit to catch his breath. "We're getting that back, Beelzebub." He said with a determined look on his face, soon leaving the alley he was just in to be met with a group of onlookers that were more than rightfully very weirded out with the sound that had left the alley only a half minute ago.

"That one?" Beelzebub asked, noting a restaurant with positions open that the two passed by while looking for work. "Too long of hours, too little pay, you'd want to eat all the food we cook. Next." Zane quickly responded, Beelzebub noting another store that Zane's frantic steps passed by. "And this one?" It was a book store of sorts. "Looks nice, but probably won't pay enough. We need quicker money. Something that'll give us all we need in a day, somewhere we'd get paid by the job rather than the hour." Zane's own pace quickened, a number of other useless opportunities going by as he continued to answer Beelzebub's questions. And then it came. Zane stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening as he happened upon the perfect opportunity. A premium day salon.

Zane took off his eyepatch, revealing his totally healthy and rather pretty second eye for once. "Why are you taking that off? Last I checked you're pretty stubborn about wearing that silly thing." Zane pouted a little, slipping the patch in his pocket. "It's not silly! I'm only taking it off to make myself look more 'professional' or whatever." Zane tucked in his shirt a bit, straightened his hair, fastened his belt etc. etc. while the various citizens of Oak all passed by him while looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

The details of how Zane got the job weren't important, though it may have been a mixture of his handsome looks, his endless charisma and his tearful begging. You readers don't get to learn which one was most effective, unfortunately. Zane had finally landed the job after a little while - a masseur that was paid by the job rather than by the hour. Apparently this place was rather premiumly priced, but were short on employees on account of the manager being a little rude. Zane didn't like him much, but Zane didn't need to. He only planned to work here for a massage or two anyways. Zane sat in the staff room, drinking the greatest (and only) employee perk the place had - lukewarm water in a paper cup. Zane's amazing drink was interrupted by his manager calling him however, Zane standing up, ready to go to work. Zane now wore one of their fine black suits rather than his usual wear, apparently the uniform of the place. It was a bit fancy, but somehow still comfortable. "We should take this one home and "forget" to return it." Beelzebub suggested.

Zane was informed that the customers waited for him in the lobby, so his feet quickly made their way there, wondering just what kinda person would be able to pay their ridiculous rates. They were probably pretty snobby. Or old. Possibly both. Stepping into the lobby, Zane waved his hand at his customers, not yet getting a good look at them. "Hello, I'm Zane. Welcome to..." Zane needed a moment to remember the salon's name. "Baja Salon. You two ready to go?" Zane was admittedly a bit nervous. He had never really done this kind of thing before, despite the fact he lied that he had tons of experience doing it. Hopefully this kinda thing wasn't too hard... or at the very least hopefully his customers wouldn't notice. Speaking of his customers, Zane's greedy mind finally stopped thinking of money and decided to actually look at them now. Hmmm...

Zane didn't like the look of the two after all and skedaddled outta there.

Alisa

WORDS: 300 | TAG: @Zane | RAINY

At her first glance, Alisa and Sofia would have looked no more out of place than any other couple out here for a massage... Alas, neither of the two women were here physically, though naught but the most attentive mages would be able to spot the difference as first glance. Than answers, the how, at least, though a far more puzzling question might be...

Why...?

Out of all the places to bring her thought projection to, Alisa had decided to stop by a rather classy looking massage parlor. To get out from under the mild drizzle outside? Hardly, the rain didn't particularly bother her either. The real reason, if anything was far simpler: Because it was there. And more importantly, it seemed like an interesting way of passing the time with her wonderful wife.

"Ara... Looks like a quiet place hmm~?", noted the sculptress, cooly sitting at the lobby, crossing her long, elegant legs while awaiting her turn. She thankfully didn't have to wait long before a sharp dressed young man with blonde hair walked up to them. Alisa rose an eyebrow, picking up on his hesitation right before he spoke the name of the Salon, all but chuckling at the notion as she stepped up from the chair and fashed him that ever cool smile, stretching a hand out, "Good afternoon. Pleasure to meet you Zane, I'm Alisa."

A new hire by any chance? Half wondering just what manner of skills she should expect her, the sculptress nonetheless nodded, peeling off her jacket and draping it casually over her arm, revealing the damp white shirt underneath, ever so subtly clinging to her skin. Thankfully, she'd have a chance to swap out of these wet clothes soon, as she nodded at her masseur and followed him as instructed. Though at the same time, she couldn't help but shake off a nudging feeling:

"Though I'll say, you look rather familiar...", noted the sculptress, furrowing her brow, cupping her chin with an inquisitive look in her eyes, cocking her head ever so slightly as she added, "I don't suppose we've met before?"
