While Hosenka's head coroner had yet to make an official report regarding the cause of death of the two bodies Atani and Weirdlock Jones had found, the detective had made some conclusions of his own and wished to discuss them with Atani in private. Upon receiving his message, she headed to his office in the Crimson Quarter and listened to what he had to say.

Weirdlock Jones thanked Atani for arriving, then immediately delved into the topic regarding the recent murders in Sakura Alley. From the fingerprints he pulled from the bodies, he confirmed independently that the White Star victims had indeed been killed by members of the Black Dragon; however, he highly doubted the local law enforcement would make any arrests. Reason being, the kind of investigation Weirdlock Jones himself was a little... off the books, per se. He was a private investigator-- highly reputed, sure, but he had no legal authority when acting on his own.

He could turn over his evidence to Hosenka's law enforcement agency or the Rune Knights, but it would take time to guarantee its authenticity, and then they would have to do testing of their own to make sure their own gathered evidence corroborated with his. It was a whole process, and he didn't even know if the matching fingerprints of the Black Dragon gang were in their system yet. This tedious legal process was why he was a private investigator, and he intended to make the most out of his job by acting on the situation right now. He just needed Atani to help.

The elf crossed her arms as she listened to his idea. Infiltrate the Black Dragons? She didn't exactly look yakuza. Not in the slightest. And her face might have gotten some recognition in Hosenka already from completing past jobs. Before Talaz Lagaar, loads came to know the Sylvan Fay.

But... Yuan? Nobody knew Yuan, aside from some Third Movement members in Talaz Lagaar, but those were very few and far between. Even if there was the exceedingly slim chance one made their way to Hosenka and recognized Yuan, how the hell would they know she didn't want to join the Black Dragons?

Atani agreed to doing this for Weirdlock Jones, but informed him she would be using a sort of transformation magic to disguise herself. He nodded, saying it was a good idea, and gave her some additional information on where she could find some gang members for initiation. He didn't really care how she got in-- and if it was through illegal means, he didn't want to know-- but she just needed to be able to get close to the gang, gain some inside information he himself and the local law enforcement just wouldn't be able to get.

It was a bit difficult to stay in Yuan's form, but once Atani became worried about being discovered and letting more dead bodies pile up, once she had let some more negative emotions in, it was easier for Yuan to maintain her appearance.

Yuan headed towards the gambling den Weirdlock Jones had told Atani about. Upon entering, she scouted out some yakuza with the famed Ouroboros symbol tattooed on their bodies, identifying them as members of the Black Dragon gang. Those were the people she needed to get the attention of. But how... ? Ah, yes. What would be more fitting than a bar fight?

It was easy enough instigating the fight. Make the wrong kind of comment towards the right kind of person, and suddenly Yuan had three people ganging up on her.

Perfect.

They fought dirty. Street weapons, jagged knives. It was kind of pathetic to the goddess, who was able to disarm her opponents and retaliate against them with ease. They had no idea who they were fighting.

Towards the end of the fight, a rather tall and heavy man showed up and separated Yuan from the three Black Dragon members. He asked her why she had attacked them, and her answer was simple. She wanted to prove herself, and it looked like it had worked. He wanted to know why she had interest in the Black Dragons of all gangs, and her answer was likewise rather simple, but not unbelievable in the slightest. Like many, she desired power, and she had heard that the Black Dragons could provide that.
