Kaito

Kaito wondered what they will find down here in the mines and this is what he is going to keep thinking about till he really gets down there and he takes on the monsters down there if he has to as he needs to make sure that quotas are met and that he is able to keep himself going forward as he has seemed to start to slow down a little as he keeps trying to force himself forward, He hopes that he will be able to keep himself from falling behind on the tasks he has yet to do as he is pushing forward to get himself going and he is not sure that he can even keep up but with Revy with him she is going to keep him going to get it done and not slow down too much and he has to do what he can.

He walks up to the place of the man that is hiring him for to go and get him some good minerals or at least a claim that will clean up the costs and make him some net profit for himself and the company he is trying to make sure stays in business but he had been having problems to get to the spots safely so he has reached out to have a mage come and take it on so that his team can go in after and get the workers that he hires to get in there and get the ores and such out. The man starts giving her the whole run down of it all and he makes sure that Kaito understands how important that this task was and that he needs to make sure that they are fully ready for what they may run into and how much this might come back to be a mess if it is miss handled by them.

They want this to be clean no hard feelings from anyone else in the mine. Kaito agrees to this and he starts on his way to the mines and Revy is trying to think of how this could go wrong and speaks to him about it but Kaito feels like this should just be easy and that they will just need to make their best efforts on clearing the area so they don’t get any nasty surprises that risk the team that go to clean it up and get the goods out for the client. They enter the mine and the miners look to him and then return to their digging as Kaito has never caused any trouble with them so they look the other way when he entered as they didn’t want trouble with him, Kaito walked past them and into the deeper parts of the mines looking around.

Kaito marks the walls as he goes so that he can find his way back with his magic if need be as there were a lot of marks around that others before him must have left or maybe he is seeing the last things some of these people might have done before something else happened to them. He stays on his guard as he isn’t looking to be killed or ambushed by things that may be down here dwelling in the shadows or down a path way. They come to a side tunnel and he starts testing around in the walls as there were no signs of digging here which is strange as this looks like a rich wall or minerals that might be the perfect for what the client is looking for but what is the catch… where is the other shoe that should be dropping on them Kaito feels that this going far too smoothly for this to be the rank of the mission he was being paid for.

Kaito doesn’t see any trails on the ground or any tracks from creatures around them and he figures he was just being paranoid. Then he hears it a screech from deeper in and Kaito taps his temple and his vision changed to mana vision and he sees them, giant bat like creatures are flying out toward him from the dark and Kaito puts Revy down then he fights the creatures and slashes at them even if he missed it means they are staying away from him and Revy. Kaito learned the creatures patterns and he aims his finger and he fires and hits them out of the air and Revy gets herself ready and she starts acting as bait and Kaito sighs as this was not something that he liked to see from Revy who seemed to think this was a good idea when it was so stupid of her to do cause it will change the pattern.

Revy was in a way helping the creatures not Kaito by doing so but he must adapt as she has already changed his plans by making the creatures chase after her. Kaito keeps his aim as he run along after Revy as he fires beams and he has to keep his hand steady so not to damage the walls of the cave. Revy is nearly gotten twice but Kaito is keeping her safe and sound from them, he speeds up and he jumps at them and slashes through them before they can get away from him and grab Revy, Kaito is more worried about Revy than he is about himself or this cave their numbers are far lower now and what is left flies away and Kaito gets Revy and heads back to the spot and he checks the tests that show it is very rich and he starts digging.

Kaito

Revy begins pouting and begs him to accept her apology for doing what she did as she was just trying to help and Kaito pointed out that trying to get herself killed was not her helping it was her adding more risk. He gets to the good stuff and he starts collecting it as Revy begins making the map and she is doing her best not to get herself in trouble. Kaito gets a nice bit of collecting for proof then he starts marking off the area so that they can make sure that anyone that comes knows that it is claimed by someone so that someone doesn’t steal the area they cleared out for their client and then he picked up Revy and he headed for the way out so that they can report to the client that they had done the job that they had been sent out to do for him Kaito just hopes this was not a bad waste of his time so they can get paid for this.
