Mishiko

She was being bullied by Ayame. One of the most popular girls in this area due to her relations to her brother, Ayako. Poor Mishiko was being bullied by Ayame and a bunch of other girls as they pulled her hair and called her names that she will never forget. Before things could get too physical, a door opened drastically as her brother Tsukuyomi appeared. Apparently, after that the girls were severely punished as they had to do certain activities. After that, she hasn't heard from Ayami or Ayako. As she was preparing for the new day, she was grabbing her wooden bamboo weapon and went to practice. The teacher themselves were now her opponent as they wanted to test her fighting skills. She felt this was weird and odd as the teachers usually are not allowed to go against the students due to different levels of skill. God's versus Demi gods was a huge stretch.

She gripped under her sword and went out into the field to get into position. Her sensei was a few meters away from her. She gritted her too, to the point where she saw she could taste the iron of the blood from her gums. For some reason, the sensei didn't want her to wear a helmet during this fight. Pajamas. He was about 7 feet tall while she was still about 5 foot one. Once they started, they started to clash their swords together. Thankfully, the wood was strong enough to handle the clashing. She traveled, and he reflected. Her sword kicked her back, and she used the momentum to slide while having one of her hands out in front of her to balance herself from falling. Her sensei came forward as they once again clashed since thankfully, she knew how to fight with one. The battle was lasting for about an hour.

Everybody was watching in suspense as they were unsure what was going to happen in the end. Who was going to win and which one of them were going to lose? Surprisingly, people were cheering for her as she then was feeling a little warm from it. They're fighting usually with just third bamboo weapons that were called bokuto. She then realized he lifted his hand up and started to use a spell-like attack. The spell was obviously fire, which was obviously going to defeat her sword. And a quick motion. As soon as he lifted off his spell, she saw a water spell destroy his. She looked over to see Ayato standing there, glaring at their Sensei. He looked a little disgusted as he was wondering why he was using a spell in a battle between two swords. At the same time, one of the ones in charge of the area came out and asked what was going on. Mishika looked over to notice that they looked almost familiar to ayato.

The Sensei got in trouble and was suspended from teaching children until he has learned his lesson. Ayato looked at Mishiko and smiled at her. He hates her, so why was he being so nice to her now? Was there a different story to tell? It was an odd ploy, but after that day they started to talk to each other as if they were friends. Of course, his sister hated that, but since she was away from their location of the school at the time, she could not do anything about it. Plus, Ayato is stronger than Ayame. Over the years that they have been friends within their child training years, she has learned that he was able to control water. That and how flowers grew on the steps he walked due to the beauty he held. A lot of girls were jealous that he was hanging around her when he was the one that made fun of her a long time ago.

At the physical age of 15, it was finally her time to take their final tests. She didn't know how many years it has been since she has played this life, but her physical appearance showed she was 15. Has it been 100 years? Has it been more than that? These questions were in her head, but the more she has been here, the more she's forgetting her true self as she was no longer quilla. That was how it was feeling like. The fact that she had somebody she knew in her actual life in front of her made it feel like this was her life. Is Anami and her father, including her siblings, were making sure she was well prepared for the tests and trials ahead. Was this the part where if she succeeds, she was going to get her goddess title? Her heart was thumping hard as she was getting nervous.

The first trial was using the sword. This one should probably be the easiest for her as she was able to practice a lot with the sensei who was suspended because of her. Throughout the years, Ayako was also able to practice with her. She was going against other students who were also Demi gods. There were actual gods gazing at them, judging their every move. Was the score according to if they lost or not? So far, she has defeated every opponent. That test was over. It was time to go to her next test, which was about compassion. She felt like this was a little challenging because her life as Quilla was not really compassionate. She needs to remember that she was Quilla and not Mishiko. This life was not hers. They were given examples of humans as they were answering prayers. The Demi gods got to pick which prayers they answered and which ones they would not answer. Maybe it was more of a test of personality as to what was interesting to them.

There were many tests and once the last one was over they put up the results as they had a ceremony for it. Over a large hall filled with marble and jade, they discussed who were the highest scores. After the small list of names being called, her name was finally called out and so was Ayako's. Among those names was a man with a familiar appearance. Was that her left hand man? She forgot his name, but the appearance will always stick to her mind like a post it note. Over and graduated to those who were listed got something extra special. Everyone had one more test to do, but we're told that it will come soon. Finally, when she was at home, she told Izanami and her father what has happened. Her brothers and her sister, by letter, told her how proud they were. Not even a week later, she got an invitation from Ayako.

She gulped nervously as she opened the letter to see that it was an invitation to go to a grand chariot ball in the Heavenly Palace. It was for those who did perfect compared to the rest of the Demigods. Apparently, the place was going to be filled with gold, marble, and jade. She nervously got ready as she needed to get on her dress. Once she got on her dress and put on some flowers that symbolized her siblings, she then left. She and Ayako went together and had a grand time. Together, they had their first of a lot of things. Just not at this moment. In the spare of the moment, they kissed among the moonlight, revealing her true appearance as Mishiko. He took her hand as they shared their first kiss. This was seen as a bond, a seal as two demigods shared their soul. That was the end of the night.
