Lucretia was still trying to get used to the sudden changes that her body seemed to be going through; she could almost tell the difference immediately between the various fights she had been a part of. Ranging from the fights way back when with Jikan and nadine, to the one against Kon and the various other individuals that she had run into before her change. It was like looking back on a whole different person with how vast of a difference it had been. Keener senses seemed to stand out a little more and everything was starting to look like it was liquid to her. It was a really odd sensation to her.

Her werewolf form remained the same but there was a strangeness to it that she couldn’t explain. Like it wasn’t the right form for her to take and none of the other options she had at her disposal even the lion from the Assegai seemed to work. Like She was a baby getting teeth all over again; there was something just uncomfortable about everything she had about her. The heightened senses did a lot to help her out in the day to day stuff sure but it also meant in areas that had a lot of people she’d be a little irritable or at the very least distracted until she got used to it.

So today Lucretia had decided that she would be out and about. Training at the guild hall where there’d be less of a flow of people. Her jaw set in a determined way as she swung her spear around. Even after her loss against Kon she still felt she was a good fighter; she might not have directly hurt him but there had been quite a gap between the two. Swinging her spear around in an overt fashion against the training dummy felt right but she also couldn’t help but feel like she shouldn’t be wasting her time against leather bound dummies.

”Tch… barely even really worth the time. Maybe I should go and find other fighters to…”

Lucretia stopped herself and stared down at the spear; she couldn’t go to the baska tournament without killing someone before and now? She’d just do it again but worse. She’d let out a frustrated huff and plant the butt of the spear in the ground. Staring awkwardly at the dummies in front of her outside her guildhall. She could still feel the sun beating down from the sky; somewhat broken up by the cloud cover but even that felt different.

”Nothing ever stays the same; but why does this bother me so much?”

She’d mumble and the white haired woman would instead take a seat near the dummies, waterskin in her hand and she’d take a sip out of it. Was a little too early to get toasted but this break would hopefully let her even out…. Even if she was constantly distracted with her bodies’ rapidly developing abilities.

It had been some time since Seika had needed to make a house call but today he was responding to a request made by one of the few Light Guilds in the west. Apparently something was being planned soon and required utmost secrecy. And so here he was, on the last day of his trip in Astera with Hitomi. He had left her behind at the hotel room to rest since she had been rather exhausted after their last mission. He knew he was burning her out, but they had so much work to do. The forces of Destruction weren't just going to stop because they needed a break. What they needed was allies to help them fight the good fight. Which means he had to go recruiting during these periods of down time. And so here he was, walking down the pathway to the rather estranged Infinity Wolves guild. The guild had popped into prominence back before he had left and he hadn't really had time back then to come check it out. He had heard that several prominent power players had joined the guild since its inception and it had caught his attention that so many powerful souls would gather in one location instead of gathering up in one of the more established guilds. So he had to see what the big push was that made such a guild so lucrative.

It would take him a few more minutes from where he originally started to arrive at the front gate, the sight of the Guild Hall being rather impressive at first glance. It was the sound of someone working on their skills however that caught his actual attention. Turning his head to the side, he could see a rather large woman with striking whitish gray hair and a spear that was somehow smaller than she was standing off in what could only be the guilds training grounds. Looking back to the front gate, Seika would arch an eyebrow before turning away from it and walking over towards the woman. What better way to gauge the interest and intrigue of the guild than by testing it's members? Approaching calmly, he would hail her with a simple wave, making sure to approach from the front with his Knight medallion in clear view so that she didn't take his appearance the wrong way. His hands would slide back down to his sides as he stopped before her with a rather pensive look upon his face.

"Good Morning, I'm wondering if you would know where your Guild Master is? I've come to perform your Guild's inspection and I'd rather not get lost and held up searching for them."

Resting was important between practice sessions; that much was true but even her sitting around didn’t feel right. Like she was in someone elses’ body taking someone elses’ time. She’d grit her teeth and look down to the water skin. It was maybe about half empty. She’d sigh softly and stand back up; thinking to herself that she should just keep going until…

The woman paused and furrowed her brow; she could smell someone’s approach and it was a scent that she very much so was not familiar with. But it was a lot further away than normal. Like well over double at this point which made her start to question more things. But before she could really address that in any true capacity she had that self same person wave at her.

It was an imposing man that much she could ascertain; one that it took maybe a few moments for it to click who exactly this was. Seeing the sigil of the runes knights only helped her figure it out. There was a small part of her that was a bit giddy; it wasn’t every day someone this dangerous approached you in a calm and collected manner. She’d return the wave with her free hand, the other firmly gripping her spear.

”Guild inspection? That’s the first I’m hearin of it. I haven’t seen Lee in a good spell; not since last month. But this is really the first time I’ve been back to the guild hall proper.”

Lucretia’s tone was fairly apologetic but she’d consider something briefly before turning. Sniffing at the air for a moment; Lee had been around recently but it didn’t seem like she was actually present. A few days maybe? Given the state of things Lucretia was pretty sure that they were busy with their family or maybe off helping out people that needed it.

”...Yeah they ain’t here. Three… Maybe four days since they’ve been in? Anything maybe I can help with or is this one of those ‘guild masters only’ bits?”

He wasn't surprised that the young woman hadn't heard of the inspection. The Knights presence in a lot of the major towns and cities had been dwindling and as such they weren't able to inspect the emergency readiness and combat prowess of the various guilds under the King's banner. In fact, Seika had only brought it back as a means of seeing just how ready each of the guilds were in terms of ability to manage their guilds. So far only Fairy Tail had passed his test but that was understandable in some ways.

Looking over the young woman, he noted that she was roughly around the same height as he was. It was rare to find someone around his size, thought she was noticeably slimmer due likely to her being a woman. That wasn't to say that her lithe body definitely withheld a great deal of power within it. Seika wasn't the most versed with weapons and artifacts, but it was hard to not notice the Spear of Shaka Zulu, the Assegai. It was a ferocious weapon, easily as tall as the woman and golden in design. It spoke of strength, power and prowess in spades and it was easily one of the few trinkets that Seika himself was wary of being a power fighter himself.

Returning his attention to the woman to see her sniffing about in a curious manner, Seika's interest was piqued a bit more. A non-human, likely of the animistic variety going by the tail. A werewolf. Hmm. He had not fought a werewolf yet, though if the monk's were to be believed, he would not naturally want to fight a werewolf.

The woman spoke of an empty guild hall. Curious. Turning his head to regard the building, he sucked on his teeth and sighed. Ah well. He had come here to test the guild and all that was here was the woman. Well. Beggars can't be choosers as they say. Deciding to finish the cordial greeting, he gave the woman one bit of a warning before beginning, his hands already moving in a flash for the pommel of his blade as well as the sheath it was sitting in. His movements weren't terribly fast or flashy, well they were, but if anyone were truly paying attention they likely wouldn't be caught off guard as the man's retractable helmet slid into place just as his body moved forward with lumbering speed just before he appeared in front of her in a relatively low yet balanced stance. That was the last moment of warning that she would've gotten.

A silver arc cut through the air, no words spoken by the Knight as he attempted to bifurcate her from hip to shoulder. He was certain she would be able to dodge or counter such a move, but that was all part of the test. He had to see if these people were worth the King's time. He had to see if they were worth his time. Words could come after the dance, as they would say.

Lucretia wasn’t well versed in politics or in the ongoing nature of things within the kingdom of Fiore. She had busied herself with keeping in touch with the land and the problems of the people more directly than those bickering politicians higher up. So the fact that she had missed out completely on a guild inspection notice or the like didn’t really seem to bother her. She knew that Seika meant business by the way he addressed her and the respect that came off of him in waves. She could tell that he was sizing her up for one reason or another but she didn’t seem to really mind it.

A warrior would look at another warrior and try to see where they compared. That was nothing new. But she wasn’t a fool about this either; hunters often had tested one another to see if they could trust the other behind their backs while in the thick of fighting the darkness. A darkness she knew really well; she’d sup on her waterskin again. Nearly draining it of it’s contents while watching the man ponder something.

His hand went to his hilt; her eyes narrowed briefly and her hand went to her spear. Was it something she said? The manner that she had addressed this? No. This was part of the inspection wasn’t it? The retractable helm slid into place and lucretia tossed her waterskin aside as she stood up. She wasn’t the sort to be caught offguard when someone was so clearly broadcasting their intent.

She was a warrior through and through. Seika would learn that the hard way it seemed. She might be a mage but she was a spellsword too damnit. His speed and reaction time was impressive that much was certain and with his intent made clear the woman didn’t even hesitate when he was suddenly in front of her. The angle of his slash was going to cut low to high, so she’d throw herself to one side, One hand pushing off of the ground to let her come sliding along the ground. Brazenly she’d swipe with her spear in a test of his own reaction speed. The distance between the two of them barely long enough to make good use of the spear’s impressive reach.

She’d have to find a lul in what she figured would be an interesting fight to really show what she was made of. She could feel the nature of her inner wolf claw at it’s cage. Not in a thirst for blood… But for something else entirely. She wasn’t exactly sure what it wanted and she had to figure that it was nothing good.

The assumed Wolf lady had moves.

Excellent.

The movement had been as fluid and solid as Seika could make it with his current mastery of the blade and his apt usage of Ryujin Jakka. However it was the lull in speed and over reliance on fluidity that prevented him from striking his opponent as his dash forward completed with a graceful slide forward on the overly tramped grass and gravel underneath his feet. The ground cracked from the pressure as the blade parted the gasses that existed all around them and in a flash of light, the blade had traveled upwards across the arc of where the Werewolf had been previously. The woman had deduced his intentions perfectly and it left the large man with an overly excited look on his face, teeth gnashed as his blood began to boil at the idea of clashing with such an individual. It was rare to find one that could avoid his first slash, yet alone retaliate in kind.

His body moved swiftly, even as the woman had already reared her hand back to pierce him through, the distance she had moved, and the speed she had moved at meant that time was of the essence. It was only by the grace of the tenants of Iai that Seika was not immediately ran through as his body shifted to match the movements, even as his blade reached the apex of its slash. Simply by shifting the grip upon his blade and pushing off his left foot to gain the extra momentum needed, he would attempt to slash the woman about her upper chest and neck. The blade would have already been at the level necessary to do such and it would mean that both warriors would likely deal damage to each other about the same time if the woman did not pull back from her retaliation. Seika was willing to take that strike to prove a point as well as to test his own will. Soon he would be facing warriors and dangers far greater than this woman here, and if he was not willing to back up his words and actions with those of a man resolute in his movements, then none would follow in his footsteps as he led them to the field of reeds.

As such, the eye vents in the man's helmet seemed to glow bloody red to match their wearers intent and intensity. Seika was fully committed to brawling with this woman until the end, even if he should fall here, he had to see it. He had to feel the pinch of life and death that all warriors felt at the very tip of their blades.

Lucretia had been part of too many fights, too many battles to even really ignore the signs that were in front of her. The woman’s movements were fluid, natural and as that being said so was her assessment of everything in front of her. She wasn’t skilled with the weapon in her hands; no she had mostly focused on being a jack of all trades but that had reduced her to a master of none. Something that she had for the most part wanted to fix ever since learning the harsh secret of her heritage.

The mans strength was impressive to say the least; the single slash was capable of cracking the ground with it’s mere presence and the gasses that lay within the air seemed to crackle and pop from the heat. She had an instant to decide on what she wanted to do and that instant she had used to her advantage. The both of them were looking to exchange blows.

She didn’t hesitate in the slightest, even as the blade came towards her body her eyes betrayed her intent. The blade ran across its intended path, sinking deep into her armor and with that single blow he’d find that he nearly had broken it apart with that single blow. There wasn’t even any level of surprise evident on her face as she continued forward. As the blade crested and ran close to getting to her neck her body would twist and disdend.

It was a rapid change, one that took barely any time but would allow her to outright avoid the damage by simply adjusting the size of the target that seika was fighting. Her body shifted from that of the pale skinned and white haired woman to that of a towering beast. The woman was nearly ten feet tall in this form.

She had no hesitation in a fight and the fact that she was close also meant that she couldn’t really utilize the spear in the right fashion as you’d expect. But that hardly mattered as she drew her fist back and would look to slam it into seika’s helmet. A blow like that would either rattle him or maybe break the helmet. She had no idea how durable it was but if it looked like that it was probably designed to take a beating.

There was some vast disappointment in the back of her head as the wolf wanted to go all out but there was a nagging sense in her mind that this fight would go from a test to something else entirely if she did so. So she curbed her desire to fight all out for something that would show restraint even in a form such as this. He was here to test them; not kill them. So she would at the very least show off that she could be an asset regardless of what form she kept.
