MagicAfter getting an invite to meet with Emil to meet him in the crimson quarter to talk about something, in the message it didn't say any details or reason just he wanted to speak and Kai wonders if it is just another thinly veiled attempt to fight him, and he is not looking forward to it if that is the case. He walks the wind swept dark streets of the crimson quarter, the crimson quarter is alive and full of people going about their dark and trouble making business, women avoiding his gaze as his name is known with his mask and cloak to not bother here. He can sense that his assassin house mate is following him even through he had told her to remain at home it was a private meeting, Revy knows this as well and tells him to not worry about it as if something goes wrong it will be better to have numbers on their side. He walks into the bar that Emil had wrote for him to meet him in for their chat. As Kai walks into the bar he is met by an owner that walks him off to a private room that Emil had booked so they could talk in peace, he takes a seat at the table Emil seems to not be here yet he takes off his cloak and folds it making it into a like booster pad for Revy to sit on so she can at least see the table top from the chair.

Pouch : Emil looks up from his table at the time and realizes he is late for the meeting he had set up and he trips over himself and the chair as he starts rushing to get to the bar stumbling through the guildhall, he bumps into people and knocks over things that are in his way as he goes through the city, for how people are reacting and jumping out of the way you would think that there was a run away carriage plowing through the streets as Emil barrels through the street and he sees the bar coming into his view and he needs to get in there cause this is the first time the masked weirdo had replied to any message he has sent him and he was not gonna miss this chance to ask him about himself and find out why he saw him during the demon summoning in the cave or if he was crazy. He gets into the bar and the owner points the way not wanting to get in Emil's way or slow him down, Emil with the grace of a bull rushes in that way, running into the room and sees the masked weirdo there talking to a talking cat. Emil is a bit confused and amazed by seeing this creature and he wonders where he can get one from. He takes his seat and he raises his hand and starts ordering drinks.

Companion : Kai looks at the man covered in sweat and breathing heavily like he just ran the whole length of the city to get here and was still slightly late for a meeting that he, himself had set up. ”How nice of you to have joined us. A wee bit late for our first meeting since I nearly died while saving your ass.” He is teasing the big guy cause he was in no real rush to be anywhere, and was just enjoying the night and the music that is still bleeding into their room from the bar it reminded him of his traveling days with his master taking a break in a bar and watching the bands play and the people of the bars and festivals dancing and enjoying themselves around them. He wonders if maybe he needs to take a trip and just relax for awhile or if maybe he needs to set out on a grand adventure, he is thinking of heading to the south and cause he heard rumors of some great fishing spots and wants to see a beach, Revy is sizing the bulky well built man and wonders why he looks similar to Kai in the face, she figures maybe they share a similar blood line.

He realizes what he just did and he looks at the masked man, and he hopes the man doesn't just leave after that childish display of slamming the table with such a force that it shook the floor and he looks to the door waiting for the owner to come and berate him for making so much noise. The owner didn't even know what the sound was just thought it was a rouge thunder cracking outside of the bar.

Companion : He looks at the man who just had a small outburst from the frustration he was feeling and Kai laughs softly, knowing he has pushed him a little to hard for his own good cause he doesn't need to piss off someone that could be a strong ally to him if he may ever need to call upon him and use his brute force to clear a path for him. Revy looks at the man, and she stands on the chair to make herself a tiny bit taller looking him in the eyes. ”You are in a place of business not a fitting pit act like it!.” Kai gently pats her on the head cause he knows that slam was probably far more louder for her then it was for him and it probably scared her a bit and she is acting tough to cover it up. Revy sits pouting cause Kai is petting her head. ”Lets get down to business what did you need of me?”

He looks to what the talking cat is drinking and it is water, he wonders if they are both not old enough to drink and he might have nearly killed someone far younger then him. He tries to recompose himself so he can make sure the masked man doesn't see cracks in his armor of fear.

Companion : Kai removes his mask placing it on the table and looks the other man right in the eyes, his hazel eyes seem pointed like they can burrow right into Emil's soul. He can see the fear in Emil's eyes as he asked this question of Kai, who looks like he is gonna just laugh but he knows that he shouldn't laugh cause being in a den of lesser demons sounds like a nightmare for a man that believes in Illumin, so he steadies his voice. ”Closest thing I have been to a demon is my Daemon house mates, but I wasn't in any tunnel of lesser demons no. But I know demons can mess with your mind or show you a desire so they can win your mind.” He wonders if he saw a demon would they try to trick him by showing himself freed of his curse. He wonders if he would fall for that trick or be able to fight back and not be seduced by that trick.

He listens to the man explain he has daemon house mates but has never really seen a demon but told him that demons mostly try to trick to gain your mind and heart, he wonders why it would show him Kai of all people he figured they would never meet after he had ignored him since that day they had that fight. He drinks more of his drink then he has a thought, about what his desirers are and one of them was to see his brother even though his father told him he is dead, and it is his witch of a elven grandmother fault for it. He connects a dot with how this man acts, he is cursed and doesn't let people close, Emil wonders if his brother is alive and he was lied to this whole time, that this man might be his brother.

Companion : He notices Emil staring at him and looking him up and down, he wonders if Emil is into dudes and is checking him out, then he sees a grave look sweep across the muscular mages face like he might be having some strange strong thoughts, he looks away for a second to help Revy with her drink that she almost just spilled on herself, he decides he should just sit on his lap with the cloak making it so she at the right level so there was less risk of her spilling her water on herself. He says sorry that he hadn't realized she was struggling sooner or he woulda moved her over sooner, but he knew she was far to proud to allow her suffering to be complained about or talked over for long. Revy looks at how the man is eyeing Kai and she thinks maybe he might be part of the family Kai doesn't know about and she doesn't butt in cause she wants to see if anything might come of this.

He wonders how this guy could be his brother if that can really be him, that he nearly got killed cause he blood lusted for a fight with someone that looked strong to him, he wonders if the cat knows anything as well though she seemed newer to being by his side cause this is the first he has seen or heard of her.

Companion : He narrows his eyes a little and wonders how Emil might know his master and can describe her so well in detail ”Yes I do know this elf you speak of, she was who trained and pretty much raised me.” He wonders what this man could possibly know of her, or what he will do with knowledge that Kai just gave him. He feels no ill will from the man it was just a very straight forward question with what seemed like a loaded back end to it. Revy stands up pointing her finger at Emil ”So what do you know of her!?” She assumes this might turn to bad but she keeps a brave face so she doesn't look weak to Emil or to Kai. Kai looks at her after she asked that question so bluntly to someone just is just meeting not sure if she really knows what she is looking for.

He looks at the cat not sure he what to really say or do he is confused and he doesn't feel like he can trust anything he was told while he was growing up, was his mom actually dead or was it all just lies to control him, is his father really keeping his attendants safe and unharmed or is he on the dark side of it and he been to blinded by his wants to see that the truth was right in front of him.

Companion : He wouldn't just give out where she is even if he did know where she is, but he doesn't really understand why out of no where Emil just started asking questions that were so personal to him or if he knew anything more about what happened to him while he was in that lab then his master had shared with him. ”Sorry I have no idea about where she might be, she was never one to stay one place for to long.” This was a lie cause he knows where the small village he lived with her was and he wouldn't rat out them to anyone no matter who they were or what power they claimed to wield to get it from him. He sits back in his seat and he drinks his fruit punch and Revy leans back into him with her drink doing her best not to spill it. Kai says sorry to Revy as he forgot he had her sitting on his leg to boost her. She accepts his apology but tells him he should be sitting flat and not leaning back like that it is dangerous.

He knows he has to send for his attendants in a way his father wouldn't suspect was a plan to get them away from him for the time being. He wonders if Kai could help him in some way if he asked it of him, but why would Kai have any need to help him, or want to help him, he being honest to himself he figures Kai might be a little creeped out by him. He still feels he might ask it of Kai cause he seems dependable from what he had heard in the streets and from other people.

Companion : He sets his chair back on its legs flat on the floor and sees that the man is disheartened but he isn't gonna back down and fold and tell him anything further on his master, cause he has no real idea of who Emil really is and he isn't gonna risk innocents ending up in the cross fire if this man has an axe to grind with his master. He sees the shift in the mans look to if he wants to ask Kai something more or something of Kai who isn't against answering more questions but if there is an adventure to be had he might be interested in helping if he is asked depending on where he is to go to do it at. Revy feels she has missed something as it almost looks like they are speaking to the other in looks and movements but are not actually speaking.

Emil stands to his feet and he downs the rest of his drink ordering another one to be his last of the night. Emil didn't want to get drunk and he didn't want to ask Kai if he was indeed his brother cause what if, Kai was disappointed he is related to a bumbling idiot like him.

Companion : Kai looks at the man that just asked him to go to his house to collect his attendants wondering why he can't just send for them normally to come to him, is it out of fear or out of laziness he was unsure. Though he didn't think a man so bullish and broad would really fear many things for himself, but he guesses maybe he fears for their safety more then for himself, and thinks going or sending for them himself might have a bad result. He looks at the man that just bolted up to his feet and swallowed his drink Revy lightly jumping at Emil doing that. ”You need to relax man or else we may be removed from this bar.” He jokingly says hoping to calm the bulky man in front of him. ”Yeah what would your attendants think if they saw you acting like a fool?” She puts her hands on her hips with a confident smirk.

His drink comes and he drinks from it as he wonders if Kai is thinking of accepting going to get them or if he is gonna just pretend he didn't hear him ask him if he would go and do that for him. ”Will you do it or not?” He doesn't want the request to be ignored even though he doesn't think Kai is ignoring the request on purpose he needs and wants an answer. He hopes to hear a yes but he is ready to be denied for it if Kai doesn't like the idea of going there and bringing them to him, he doesn't want to make Kai feel like he has to do it, but he wants them safe.

Companion : He looks at Emil and he sighs slightly, cause he knows he wants to rather it is a risk or if it is not to himself he guesses he will help Emil out with this task so at least the attendants will be safe he guesses from some danger he doesn't know about but he guesses his honor and his pride is sorta on the line to do this if Emil felt he would be the right man for the job. ”I will do it to the best that I can and I will try to make sure they are alive and unharmed.” Kai smiles at him and finishes his drink and Revy finishes hers so they are ready to go. He sees that Emil looks a little drunk so he is gonna see Emil safe to home if not to protect Emil to protect those that could end up on the end of his drunken ire and he helps him walk out after Emil has paid, Kai puts his cloak and mask on placing Revy in his hood for safety.

He hurries finishing his drink so he can plan it and he is starting to get a bit of a feeling he is gonna fall over, so he puts the jewels on the table leaning on it a little, then he walks with Kai out of the bar and he is very happy and in awe that he would help him even though he doesn't own Emil anything Kai who seems to be gonna walk him to make sure he gets home safe and sound he is glad that he decide to get Kai to meet him but he isn't ready yet to find out if he is his brother for tonight this is enough.
