Overall: Nathaniel has a lean build. Because he has an average height he is always viewed as small and frail despite the chiseled muscles that decorate his frame. He is rather slim, however and most of his clothes fits very loosely on him which does very little to help his case. From baggy sweats, tees and typical Joyan Kimono cardigans he is usually in something fairly simple and comfy looking. He likes to change his outerwear quite often, however his signature accessory is a necklace comprised of a single string and three large wolf fangs. They are black entirely and take up a large amount of space on his chest. He's usually also wearing sandals with large straps over his feet. He also tends to wear a pair of thick black leather gloves as well when he's off to a mission and his favorite white checkered scarf with it.

His hair is split into large bangs and sits either shoulder length or tied into a short ponytail behind him. His ears have a distinctive point of his elven lineage and his nose shares an elegant point. His features aren't incredibly distinct, however his eyes do have a permanent glaze to them and he seems near perpetually in a state of zen. Even his posture follows suit, a slight slouch making him appear a bit smaller and a lot less reliable than he actually is.

Extra: He has a scar diagonally across his back from shoulder to hip. He also has four piercings, three in his right ear, one in the standard lobe, upper lobe and helix and one in the left ear just in the lobe.

PERSONALITY

Personality: Nat can be too relaxed. He is perpetually calm and doesn't see much sense in pointless aggression and and hostility. While he is known for being dependable in push come to shove scenarios he can be rather lethargic and irresponsible about smaller, less important, tasks. He displays a childish and often naive sense of trust and admiration for people while managing to maintain a sense of wisdom and independence. He doesn't hold grudges, judge others or look down on people, he speaks from a place of understanding in hopes of creating a space where everyone can be respected. He trusts the "guiding winds" he believes everything will work out in the end.

He shares in his mother's Encan values, the family centered nature of her tribe, while maintaining a balance with his Joyan sense of loyalty. He has dedicated his life, his half elf lineage, to the protection of both nature and all people. He is a main filled with love and respect, and admiration for others before all else.

He has a deep appreciation for nature and it's wonders and often finds himself enjoying a cool breeze in a tree somewhere. This is in stark contrast with his dedication to his samurai roots, however, and he'll be the first to admit it, he finds himself often skipping training to sleep somewhere he won't be disturbed.

While a natural leader, he tends to be considered too soft and too weak to be in charge which doesn't give him ample opportunity, however he doesn't mind being in charge and actually enjoys the responsibility of looking out for others.

Likes:

The Cold: As a half elf he loves nature, as an Encan he loves the snow, together he feels a strangely crucial bond with winter weather and animals.
Down Time: Any moment that can be spent relaxing and readjusting as his favorite, finding himself often suggesting others take it easy, despite he himself likely needing to be the one to pick things up a bit.

Dislikes:

Busy Days: He cannot stand days where everyone needs him to do something. He will likely attempt to escape any chance he gets instead of overworking himself or others. He hates to see people pushed too hard but he would personally rather it be them than him.
Bullies: While he doesn't mind people who are aggressive or a little hardcore, he hates to see the strong intentionally pick on the weak. He doesn't like to watch people suffer powerlessly and often finds himself in the middle of avoidable situations if he deems it necessary he steps in.

Motivations:

Proof for his Tribe: He wants to demonstrate not only that his people can be accepted, but even prosper among the other races. While many traditions may clash and his people can be looked at as weak or savage, he wishes to prove the strength of their teachings to the world and use that evidence to show them they shouldn't be afraid of change.

Fears:

His own nature: Nathaniel is afraid his ways of living will not only get him hurt, but others as well. He's terrified that his light hearted ways will lead to the downfall of himself, despite his confident outwards appearance it is a constant battle to find a middle ground.
Lizards: He is...just not super fond of lizards. The cold climates don't house many of these scaly beasts and as such they tend to make him feel a little uncomfortable upon first glance. He will not harm them, or really run, but he becomes squirmy and has a hard time concentrating.

Magic Description: The mage uses their blade as a conduit for a number of short to medium range boons. From augmenting themselves and allies, to deflecting and erecting barriers this magic boasts a range of supportive and utility spells. This style has a few offensive maneuvers as well, however the main style revolves around creating safe passage for the wielder to get up close and personal with long range mages or even support their group in doing so.

HISTORY

History: Born in the union of a Encan woman and Joyan man, Nathaniel already found himself at a cultural cross roads. Where the Joyan's valued loyalty to the Shogun, the Encans practiced loyalty to nature. While the blade is a way of life, so was the Encan culture. Nathaniel studied the blade under his father, a Joyan man lost in the Tundra after missing his boat home. He was a simple man who while determined to return to Joya, found himself saved by the Encan people and even found love within an Encan woman.

Nathaniel has a mixed set of values, his mother was human, but his father an elf, creating even further tension between the cultures. This fusion became a strange loyalty to the Earth and it's people. He saw no difference between the place of every individual and views the cultural differences as unnecessary borders between individuals. Instead of harmonizing ideas, he essentially assimilated them both and only sought out the common components.

As a hunter, and a wind mage in a frigid country, he found struggle and strife in every direction. The frozen lands were often barren and he learned to find peace in solitude. As he aged, he discovered time and time again that his blade served well to protect others and despite the hesitation from the Encan's the curiosity of his father's homeland became to overwhelming. He had heard too many stories about shoguns, samurais and battles fought across various lands to want to spend the rest of his life in a frigid wasteland. While he will always love his home nation of Enca, he is much too curious about other cultures and customs to justify his position.

He set off, travelling the land as a guildless mage until he stumbled into the Infinity Wolves guild in Astera. He is looking for a position among them and hopes they will consider him a valuable ally to have alongside them in their fight against injustice.
