What a way to live life not, Rather being in other lands to actually enjoy and see it rather then such a past life she thought she would ever visit these lands about. Where were they exactly? In an area that was rather safe for travellers, No doubt Stella had many things to see and she could not wait to see them.

Getting up and stretching from the bed she was sleeping in, looking around it seemed right away some one was missing or sneaking around, Giving a sniff in the air so was waiting to see what sent she picked up. She would let out a yawn and she got out of bed and got on her feet."Hmm...I wonder where she ran off too."She mentioned looking around it seemed it was almost unexpected, considering they were in some manner glued to her hip she did not often just disappear right away. This was either a trap or Esperia was doing something else.

Not that it would upset her in the end. It was nice she could take her time stretch out and get dress. Having her clothing laid out for the day, Seemingly with no one else around she would walk into the kitchen area of where they were staying to get a cup of water first.

Eventually she would just assume Esperia would come back with something for herself or something that Esperia wanted for whatever reason. Letting out a yawn before she started drinking her cup of water. After this cup she would was thinking of what was next? Shower or fore go showering, get dressed and go for a walk first? She had time to think of it while she had nothing else really seemed to be of note to pay attention to right now.

It was a pleasant time, one free of conflict and despair. Indeed, ever since she had made the decision to just spend her time living alongside Valerie the days were nothing short of being a dream come true. And yet deep inside Esperia knew that such peace, such tranquility was often ephemeral and never would last forever. Even if Valerie had the blessing of an extended lifespan compared to humans, she still aged and there would be a time she would die. Esperia had already decided that should that day come, she would chase her into the afterlife. It was one of the downsides to consider when one had to deal with the concept of being ageless.

And then there was the fact that she was not an ordinary vampire either. She had done some pretty outlandish things in the past. Encountered demon lords, feasted with Icebergian gods and even came into possessing the blood of Cain, the very god-king the vampires of old worshipped.

It was that last part that troubled Esperia, for it led her to require a certain delicateness when it came to the political intrigues of the various houses. She was no stranger to such a thing, but it was for the first time that she knew that in due time she would have to make a decision and figure out how to approach the nature of her bloodline.

"You can't keep asking this of me Esperia..." A young man said to her, walking calmly at her side as the obsidian-haired lass spoke softly. "I know, I know Albert, but I still can't give an answer. To announce my existence as a Child of Cain would have far greater consequences that go beyond just myself."

The man stopped and looked straight into her eyes. "You mean your family? Surely a life of luxury will benefit them as well?" Yet Esperia couldn't help but chuckle softly. "I doubt they desire such a life, and nonetheless it would mean exposing them to the threats of rival houses. Surely you are aware there are others claiming to be in possession of the same power?"

Yet the man shook his head violently in return. "My master places his utmost faith in your strength Esperia, even a Precursor wouldn't be able to compete with one who has experienced the things you did. Above all, they lack something."

Esperia paused for a moment, tilting her head slightly to the side as the man continued. "They lack desire, their sole ambition is a borrowed one, they are all puppets... My master believes that to bring back the glorious days of old we need-"

By the time Valerie walked into the kitchen she would hear the door open and Esperia walking back inside, a hint of exhaustion visible in her eyes. "Good morning darling~ I'm sorry for leaving our bed so early in the morning. Unfortunately an unexpected meeting came up."

Walking over to her lover's side, she smiled kindly at her, leaning in to kiss the woman's cheek.

Everything was nice towards an understanding of how each person lives their lives, after all Esperia was home and no questions seemed to be asked. if anything it seemed she was happy she just returned, but that was always a given in the end because it was just the content they felt with life. So what was exactly on her mind? Nothing else then walking over hugging Esperia guiding Esperia head to rest on her chest for a moment."In the end it never bothers me, I know you return leaving me content enough to not worry about your departures."Even if she was married, long ago Valerie had gotten use to being alone for long periods of time, It was almost like it never bothered her all that much. It was just different when you knew some one would return.

Then resting her head upon Esperia's and hugging her it was just letting moment of quiet set in."I assure you, I do not intend to run off anywhere, You return long before I even got dress."It was a good point of humour while Esperia got a lightly touch of Valerie's finger running along her back. With the comfort of them both she never rushed anything anymore.

However just making sure as always, Even if she was resting and relax in the middle of a kitchen in the nude."Do tell me dear, do you require anything?"Since it was something always needed to be sure, After all Esperia was going to do thing surely needed to be sure something else was needed or not. Had a feeling it was most likely affection of some sort. It was never for sure until she asked. Alas still the morning was peaceful and nice. At least in this werewolf's view.

Esperia couldn't help but find herself seeking comfort in the embrace with her wife, and for once there were no lecherous thoughts drifting through her mind as she was gently guided to rest her face against her lover's bust. Esperia smiled briefly, closing her eyes and simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere that lingered. That love, the affection she held toward their family was one of those sacred things she sought to protect. "Mhmm~ just stay still for a while as I talk~"

Esperia chimed softly as she took a deep breath. "As you know I function quite similarly to a vampire, yet at the core of it I am quite different than them. While vampires are considered by most a species, my case of vampirism is more akin to a disease or a virus of sorts. I was involved in an accident which led me to ingest the blood I was researching, blood that according to the merchant I purchased it from was supposed to belong to an ancient vampire, quite an understatement..."

She chuckled briefly as she nuzzled further against Valerie and continued speaking. "The blood belongs to the one being that all vampires trace their origin to: The 'God'-king Cain. Of course we can remain skeptical of whether he was truly a deity akin to how faith describes them, but he used to be a very important figure in the history of the race. As far as I know I hold no direct lineage to him, but in accordance to the belief of the various houses of the ancient vampires such a detail is trivial, if one is in possession of the blood, they are the successor to their ancient ruler."

She smiled weakly as she quickly added: "But of course that doesn't make one nobility straight away, fortunately... There seem to be several individuals possessing this blood, and each of those houses seems adamant about using them as a stepping stone to reviving the glory of a bygone era. I even been approached myself with the request to align myself with one of the houses, of course something I hold little interest in... But I dread how long it will take before they will become more 'forceful' in their methods. Even if I were to not participate in their escapades, the others possessing of this blood consider me a rival, a potential threat to their claim, and I don't even want to consider how long till an idiot tries to attack those I hold dear to me as a method of provocation."

She sighed once more, her hands gently wrapping around Valerie's waist. "Our lives are peaceful, perhaps not grandiose but there is beauty in this family we have, and yet the world around us keeps turning, threatening to get us involved in their misadventures once more..."

These were something to eventually expect, Whatever it seemed to be there would was most likely something that would show up again they was to work against the quiet harmony they had in their life, Not that it offended her too much. Nonetheless it was still a moment she could enjoy."You act like it is a hard task to stay and listen Dear."It was a normal joking way of her being this way. Time was equally as long, as it was short for the both of them, At least that is what she thought. It must be relaxing to be able to embrace some one and rest upon them being able to listen to their heart beat.

Listening to how she was currently different then most vampires she almost wanted to make another off-hand joke about marring a werewolf rather then finding another vampire to date or marry, But there was other time and places for such a comment. Even if such a matter was seemingly an accident that made her this way, It was so far most likely a blessing that at least the woman that was hugging  Esperia considering it some kind of blessing.


With upon hearing of this god king Cain, some one with such a title was something she viewed and overly egoistical.She just needed to keep it to herself for now."Huh, Nobility now?"Now however she could not help herself but joke in some manner. about it."I did not think I married into such a possibly situation, Here I just thought I married a slightly sad and lonely vampire."making it a very clear joke, she stopped hugging Esperia   places her head in front of Esperia and gave her at least one kiss on the cheek, But also just kind of allow a follow up a kiss on the lip and then well went back to their embrace and her listening.

With that final mention it would seems in her old ways in some manner had not left her."We will make by with how we need too, If I need to slaughter a thousand men to keep and protect you and my children,I would do it with out a second thought."But that was a considered a most likely a basic answer that Esperia could hear."No matter what, I am sure we can figure it out."Most likely she would not have to do a lot in theory, Just more expressing she would go as far as she was willing to go for this peace to continue.

Esperia couldn't help but find herself smiling briefly at Valerie's tenderness, even the little joke helped put her mind at ease as she enjoyed the embrace, and her wife's absence of clothing certainly made it even more enjoyable. As she explained the details of the past she had learned through means of books and conversation, Esperia thought carefully on the matter: Despite the fact the grand civilization of Nebuchad was no more, the legacy of Cain lived on in the form of the various vampire houses. Even those who were unaffiliated with it, or had discarded the history of their kin were still tied to this legacy, even if it was simply because of the blood that flowed through their being.

"heh~ While my blood might make me special among vampires, I don't consider myself nobility at all." Esperia chimed softly as she enjoyed the hug which soon followed by a pair of tender kisses. "There are some ways we can avoid a hostile confrontation, or at least a lasting threat but it won't be easy."

Esperia paused for a bit, not sure about her decision on how to proceed with the matter, which was exactly why she had chosen to consult her lover on the matter. "There is a way for us to keep trouble at bay, but it won't be an easy one. The city of Nebuchad has been flooded and is now nothing but a collection of ruins filled with ancient threats and lingered phantoms. But according to some sources it is there that our solution is hidden: The rite of succession."

She looked up into her lover's eyes and spoke softly as she continued. "Despite the... flexibility of vampires when it comes to their creeds and morals, most of them are still bound by the ancient traditions of their houses. One in particular suggests that one day Cain will return to bring glory to Nebuchad once more in the wake of the dishonorable actions that led to the downfall of their civilization. Most foolishly believe a Precursor vampire like myself would be used as a vessel to bring back Cain, a twisted form of reincarnation so to speak. But if my theory proves to be correct, there are ways to turn reincarnation into succession: Basically rather than becoming Cain, I could use his blood to be recognized as Cain's successor. Disregarding trivial details of royalty or nobility, which I care as little about as a certain walking bag of bones, I do believe that should I be acknowledged by the houses, they will be forced to acknowledge my wish to just live my life at your side, free of their bothersome squabbles and affairs."

She did decide to add a little jest to the matter. "I should warn you however that my appearance might undergo a little metamorphosis, it seems the precursor blood in me will be responsible for that if I decide to take on the mantle of a Precursor Vampire for real."

Well at least to this werewolf woman, Esperia was in fact special, Even if royal or not, Not being able to help herself in some manner to continually toy with her own wife."Yes dear, You did not need the royal blood or even vampire part to be special at least to me, We both could just been normal humans and I would have been content."So she would have to stop lazing around and finally put some clothing on, Not before just before the hug was finish giving Esperia casually squeeze on her butt and then giving it a light pat."We will solve these problems, Easy or not A break broken necks will not bother me if I have to do that."She then let go of Esperia so she could get some clothing on.

Getting one final stretch in, With her back turned to Esperia for the moment she would start by picking up a black wool sleeveless shirt, Then from there on she would put on the rest."Flooded City? Sounds like a pleasant quiet place, But I do ponder if the little ones will want to live there or prefer to live near other children,After all they should be use to other people while not being so...spoiled by being considered royalty."she mentioned which was an honest worry from her, After all royals were kind of annoying to her, Even if Esperia could be class as one it was thought of different, Mostly royal she could not just walk over pick up and leave a room with, Well not with out getting some one chasing after her for kidnapping or murder even if it was long in the past.


With the looks change part Valerie could not help but honestly left."Dear, changing looks is not that worrying to me, I could see the need to change them, I have seen you change over all looks just as much as in and out of clothing."she would mention after getting her clothing on walking over placing one of her hands on Esperia's hip and then kissed her on the cheek again."It will be nothing too worrying, You are still the same wife by my side in the end."she was flexable in the end. That was the good thing about being married to her she just adjusted to things as long it was not to insane."Maybe, just maybe...I should change mine around too, That lady who brought us to Iceberg has nice style...her outfit also works much better for me,Maybe I should ask her if I can copy it."That was if she remembered that lady, IF not she would most likely find Jai-Hai and ask anyway.
