Alisa

WORDS: 400 | TAG: @BP | CLOTHES

As the guild had yet to be fully rebuilt, most of the Pegasus mages around had no choice but to spend their time elsewhere. Many of them, Alisa herself included, chose not to hang out too far from where the guild's premises, scattering around some of the many cafés in the neightborhood, and maybe some of the bars once the sun set. Too soon for bars this early in the afternoon however, and a lone Pegasus made way from the restaurant to one of her favorite café. Her long flowing hair whipped to her side everytime a gust of wind accompanied her step - some times getting in front of her eyes -  so much she eventually just grabbed it in a bunch and draped it over her shoulder to one side.

Alisa dressed casually today, at least, as casually as a regular Sorcerer's Magazine model possibly could. Light blue jeans and a sleeveless while blouse hugged and highlighted her curves, providing an especially tight fit around her butt, though not to the point of being uncomfortable thanks to the fine quality fabric. After a couple of weeks of intensive training for the battle of Hargeon, she had cut back to her usual regimen, allowing her body to recover some of its womanly softness... With the summer coming to an end, the days were gradually getting fresher, but today felt as hot as the average August noon: Thus, every item of clothing on her had picked with freshness in mind, to help keep her cool in those moments where the roaming clouds steered clear of the sun's gleam. She'd even rolled up the tip of her jeans, fitting in better with the high heel sandals adorning her feet. Simplicity had its charm too, allowing the raven haired artist to let her natural beauty shine on its own.

"At this rate, Blue Pegasus will back on its feet in a matter of days...", she thought out loud, brushing her hair as took a seat and crossed her legs, right outside the café with a direct view to the guild, or, what was left of it anyways.

All this time spent thinking how she wanted Marina to see her guild, and this might have been the only time she wished the girl would stay away a few more days, just so her first impression of Blue Pegasus wouldn't be this miserable state. Alisa still missed her of course, and doubted those feelings would change anytime soon...

Chelvaric Walderkat
A loud noise echoed through the vast reaches of the forest. Trees moved around and birds started to fly away from the slight earthquake that was happening. The source could be found by the north outer edge of the forest. From above you could see multiple cracks in the ground spreading like spider webs. In the middle of them was a man standing chanting words no mortal could understand. He had white long hair and was half naked with only some loose pants on that were held onto his waist with a leather belt. Out of his hair, two cat ears were sticking and out of his pants came a cat tail. When the man finally stopped chanting he clapped his hands together and multiple trees shot out of the earth. Chelvaric was panting and sweat drops were rolling off his body like water rolling off an ice cold glass in the summer. He rubbed through his hair and made it a tousled look.

Chelvaric threw a towel over his shoulders when Elisa Walked to him with a bottle of water in her mouth. He took the bottle and opened the cap to drink a good amount of the water inside the bottle. The refreshing feel of the water sliding down his throat felt like heaven. When he suddenly heard a voice behind him. “Are you Chelvaric Walderkat?”, A bit of an old voice would say behind him. He turned around and looked into the face of a fifty-year-old mailman with too short pants and a grey beard that fell down to his belly. “Yeah, that’s me.”, Chelvaric would say and the men would give a letter to him. After reading it through it seemed that Alisa was holding a blue Pegasus meeting in the Café right in front of the Guild Hall. It seemed he would meet everyone after the attack had happened. It would be good to see if everyone was good.

After walking for an hour or two they would arrive in front of the café in front of the Guildhall. It looked like a cozy place while the Guild Hall looked like a ruin. When he entered the Café a little bell rang and he and Elisa were announced to anyone sitting inside.

Beyond The Sun & Stars

The landscape before her did not seem merciless at first glance; in truth, the city had a fairy comforting scenery; if not for the advent of war that hung thickly over their heads. There was a sense of restlessness here and there, among the civilians and in the middle of the crowd was a stranger who gathered herself a crowd of stares as she passed by. The town would know her by the name of Snowflake, a fellow Blue Pegasus mage that was involved in the most recent conflict. The consequences of the battle against Grimoire Heart was the destruction of the town itself and a few other minor losses in the town’s population and the death of their guild master.

Yesterday, at lamplight, the female received a letter, sealed up neatly with a stamp. It was dancing idly across her gloved hand and more so, it had a familiar name scrawled across the front. Stormy hues glided over the lines written on the brittle sheet of paper, which informed her to attend a small gathering held at a café near the guild hall. At the bottom of the sheet signed the name of her old comrade – Alisa Vollan. She assumed that it was urgent, most likely regarding the recent events that occurred to their guild and perhaps, they might be required to discuss what to do for the future. For now, the most important thing was to restore their guild hall which was entirely wrecked during the battle.

It seemed that there were way too many things occurring at once; firstly, the conflict and next, her transformation. Though she was not injured heavily from the fight against her enemies, she was required to alter her body due to a reason that no one else but only the woman, herself knows, nor did she intend to share it to anyone else, unless the time comes. The feelings she felt towards her own transformation was something close to confusion more than anything, where her inability to comprehend the situation seemed impede her from further expressing anything about the circumstances. For all she knows, she was relocated inside a host body of someone who was once a demon.

Her arrival at the café was greeted by the sweet aroma of coffee and bread lingering in the air, accompanied by a soft chime from the bells that hung above the doors. By the entrance of the store, she noticed her teammate, Chelvaric, loitering around the area before she would give a gentle tap on the shoulder. ”Are you not taking a seat, Chelvaric?” With that, the female walked past him and towards the table where Alisa was seated.

”Hello, Alisa. Good to see you again.” The female took a seat right across her other teammate, assuming that they would remember her since she had a drastic makeover, after all.

Tenshi †
Days Prior

He had been late. That's what kept echoing in his mind, his eyes dulled behind a veil of confusion. He had been here. He had been here, and yet he had not made it it in time. He sad beside the guild master, breaths labored as he fought against the onslaught of Death. Finn's hands were in his lap, pressed down against his lap as if to keep himself grounded in his chair. His eyes had a glassy look over them, which was fought away with frequent blinks and sniffles. He knew of death. He welcomed it, and addressed it as a casual part of life. This was different though. It was not death of an enemy in battle, it was the death of a friend who he did not save.

He was there. He knew now, through common sense of all that had occurred, the person whom Jake had knocked unconscious was a Grimoire Heart member. It only made sense, and yet they hadn't known. They had taken their time to drag her off to a hotel to sleep off the blow, and that had taken them away from Lance when they were needed the most. Jake sat at the corner of the bed,
a look of displeasure on his face. Neither one of them wished to accept this.

Lance was the man who first addressed Finn as if he were normal. His first glance at what people could be like in this society. Lance was the one who brought Finn into Blue Pegasus, and was the one who consistently worked to help acclimate him with average people. He was Finn's first true friend in this strange world, and the young adventurer truly did look up to him. He was someone who he wanted to surpass, someone he wanted to protect.

And he had failed.

Lance had told him of what happened. He spoke of how Blue Pegasus, in their time of need, was given help by Phantom Lord. He spoke of avoiding revenge, of focusing only on rebuilding and protecting what they still had. Finn sat in silence,
a weight in his throat. He had not felt this emotion before, not like this. It threatened to consume him.
Lifting a sickly hand, Lance placed his palm over Finn's fist and smiled. "Don't fall down that path. Stay who you are. You're part of the future. We all need you now."

"What-" his voice caught,
saline crystals beginning to leak from the corners of his eyes. "What if I'm not strong enough?" His voice cracked, his best effort being used to fight off the tears. A rasped laugh followed, quickly overtaken by coughs. "That's why you have your family." His voice was weak now. As Finn clenched his eyes and looked up, his eyes widened. Lance's gaze had glossed over, his chest had stopped rising. He was gone.

Anyone nearby would have heard it. The heart wrenched sound of anguish that left Finn's voice as he grabbed onto Lance's hand, as if that was the only thing keeping his old friend grounded in this earth. Jake looked away, hiding the tears that welled in his own eyes. They had lost someone important that day. They had lost something inside of themselves.

Present

Finn's footsteps were quiet. They did not bring much attention, and that was how he liked it. Beside him, keeping stride, was Jake. The two of them continued forward, a crumpled letter with their guildmates name sticking out of Finn's pocket. The few who recognized him did not come up and speak to him, and the plethora of people who recognized Jake offered only saddened nods. The entire town was reeling. Construction was taking place all over to fix what was broken, and candles were lit even in the daytime to show respects.

Finn approached the cafe and stopped. It offered a direct view to the guildhall, and that was likely intentional. It would take time for them to rebuild, and that went far beyond physical restrictions. It would take time for them all to bounce back. Perhaps many of them were not so close with the Guild Leader, and that was fine so long as they were respectful. Looking down at his brother, his gaze was met by knowing eyes and a smile. Jake reached a fist up to Finn, who reciprocated the action. It was their way of letting one another know they were on the same page.

Striding forward in full gear with his weapon on his back, Finn circled around the front of the cafe. There, he spotted Alisa with the other members of his Guild. One of the individuals he assumed was Snowflake, judging by the white hair. She looked far different without the black cloth covering her face. The other individual he didn't recognize in the slightest. Making his way over to the table, he took one of the free seats while his brother took the other. "Hey guys," Jake said, his deeper voice rather comforting due to the recent events.

Finn stared at them and nodded his head. He was different from normal, something anyone who knew him could detect. His face showed no signs of a smile, and his eyes were set ahead as if looking through people. He had lost something that could never be found again when Lance died in that way, and in its place was a seed that threatened to bloom.

Wrath.

Alisa

WORDS: 720 | TAG: @BP | CLOTHES

She'd earlier sent a message to her team members as well as Finn; all of whom had shared a team with her at one point of another. As she waited, she had time to order herself a coffee, looking at what remained of the guild as a constant reminder of their failure, her failure. And how they would deal with it from that point on...

Chelvaric arrived first, looking around the Café and hopefully noticing Alisa by the time she waved and called him over, "Good afternoon Chel.", she greeted. She couldn't bring herself to smile as she once did, not now, not yet... Her usual cool radiance had dimmed visibly, and predictably, as expected of a woman in mourning. Snow arrived soon after, though only thanks to seeing her approach them did Alisa recognize her. Then again, this really wasn't the first time her teammate had radically changed her appearance, "Oh my, It seems everytime I see you, you look different.", she'd point out, before graciously returning the greeting, "Likewise, Snow."

Which left only Finn...

Honestly, Alisa worried about him more than Snow or Chel; among the four of them, he'd taken the Master's death the worst. None of them could remain indifferent, as Lance had meant something to each of them in different ways: to Alisa he had been a guide more than a leader, who taught her that she could always choose the brighter path no matter how somber the destination. Thanks to Lance and that shimmering beacon named Blue Pegasus, she understood there was more to herself than her vendetta...

She didn't know the full specifics behind Finn's bond with Lance, but understood it ran deeper than most Pegasus mages. And naturally, when he appeared, her greeting of the two brothers came off short and simple, "Hello boys.", and she wouldn't say anything more, as if whatever else she said would only make it worse. Instead, she reached out and rested her hand on Finn's arm, a silent reassurance that she was there for him.

And so here they were, gathered for the first time in months, the strongest four of Blue Pegasus. As the one who'd summoned her friends, the unenviable honor of addressing the elephant in the room naturally fell to the crystal user:

"Surely you already understand why I asked you all to come here... Master Lance's last wishes were the closest he had to a will. 'Rebuild and grow stronger', is what he would have wanted us to do.", she started, her eyes lowering into a solemn moment as she stirred, then sipped her coffee, looking contemplatively into the whirling brew as if she'd find an answer there. She didn't in the end, and sighed, crossing her denim clad legs before looking at each of her friends in turn, gauging each of their opinions on the matter.

Alisa had lived the whole of her adult life seeking vengeance against the wishes of a parent, and naturally understood this feeling better than most...

Yet the mere thought of how once again, she'd been too weak to protect the living and forced to avenge the fallen... It filled her with a frigid hatred against both the ones responsible, and herself as well. But she held back, looking as calm and collected even though a careful glance into her ruby red eyes might give those emotions away: Lance had taught her better than that, and what kind of a student would she be if she couldn't at least honor his last will?

She owed him that much loyalty, they all did... But just as Lance had once lead the guild his way, so would his successor have his or her own path to carve, "The question is, where do we go after? In all likelihood, one of us will be elected as the new Master... But when that happens, we need to be on the same page. So, I ask, what do you want to do?"

Though she had a pretty good idea of the answers - especially Finn's - that wasn't enough. She'd hear it from their mouth, one at the time. She didn't see unity as everybody blindly agreeing to the same path, but rather everyone knowing and understanding each other's resolve to the best their abilities.

Chelvaric Walderkat
Chelvaric was searching through the cave as he couldn’t find his teammates when he suddenly felt a light tap on his shoulder. As he turned his muscular body around he would see Alisa his teammate and then someone he hadn’t met yet. Although the vibe she was giving off was Snowflakes. Since he knew that Snow changed in appearance once before he had no doubt it was her since she had the same snow white hair. She asked him if he wouldn’t take a seat.

Oh yes we better do that”, he said to her and he walked over to Alisa together with Snow. He was burning with questions about Snow’s sudden new appearance. She was still beautiful even if he wasn’t used to her appearance yet. It was Snow so his feelings couldn’t do anything else but find her a goddess on earth. He took a seat at the table and waved a waitress over. She was dressed in an apron and had long brown hair tied up into twin tails. He liked twin tails on girls it gave a feminine feel. She was staring and blushing at him. He was used to it and didn’t give much attention to it after which he ordered some tea. Elisa his Leafeon jumped on his lap and he started listening to what was being said.

Good day Alisa it has been a while since I last seen you I hope you are okay. Did you get attacked during your stay here?”, he would ask her with a smile. It seemed the mood was a bit more down then usually. He wondered if Alisa and Finn were closer to the Guild master then he was. He nodded to Finn as he had arrived at last person. Alisa started to explain why she called them over and the reason was quite obvious how would they retaliate against the guild called Grimoire Hearth that had left a stain over Hargeon. It seemed though that the Guild master had wanted them to rebuild and grow stronger. He couldn’t argue that but they couldn’t leave Grimoire alone either. Who knows they could attack when they were spread and distracted. It seemed Alisa wanted their thoughts and Chelvaric wouldn’t think twice before he started talking.

We can’t leave Grimoire run wild. Who knows who they will attack next. How would we even defend Hargeon now that were Leaderless. We should rebuild that is true and maybe at this time we aren’t strong enough yet. But we are not alone in this fight. If we call the other guilds and the rune knights to our help they are sure to answer. Who would let evil flourish when we have to destroy anything that threatens the peace of Fiore. I say no mercy we have to deal with them once and for all”, he would say passionately and fiercely. They couldn’t let the death of their guild master leave doubts in their mind. It was the circle of life and death just means the next stage. He looked at them and waited for their thoughts as the waitress came back with his tea.

Beyond The Sun & Stars

Upon seating herself in a vacant chair, the young woman would cross her legs as Alisa commented on her new appearance. ”Indeed.” She’d say, nodding in agreement and somehow, no matter how different she looked each time, her Blue Pegasus comrades seemed to be able to pick her out from the crowd with no problem. The facial expressions on Chelvaric’s face was enough to indicate that he had a million questions for her regarding her change, however, the topic of discussion was of little concern at this precise moment. The female glanced around the area, as if she was in search of someone until Finn emerged behind them with just two words.

The four gathered, seated at a table as silence reigned supreme within the area. How long has it been since they all met together? – that she could not remember, nevertheless, she was glad that the strongest ones from the guild were able to present themselves at the little meeting. After the four was seated, a waiter passed by their table to collect their orders and she felt the sudden urge to have a strong coffee to calm her nerves. ”Cappuccino, please.” She'd say and the waiter would walk away once their orders were taken. The ambience was slightly different than what she had expected but she did not let her doubts pass her lips since she was highly aware that this was a rather emotional situation for all of them, especially for Alisa and Finn, in spite of not knowing what sort of relationship they had with guild master Lance.

In her case, as well as Chelvaric’s, the only time they met Lance was when they decided to join Blue Peagasus and not once after that, did they ever meet each other again. The female stared down at her pale hands resting on her lap, a sense of guilt grew within her figure, regretting all the times that she had missed the opportunities to encounter Lance once again, before he passed away. The voice of her other teammate broke the silence between them after they took a moment to grieve their guild master’s death, quoting the last words of their master. The death of Lance had caused a turmoil within the guild, which was probably why Alisa had chosen to hold a meeting right there and then – to discuss the aftermath.

”I’d say we kill their guild master just like what they did to us, but this would mean starting a war.” The female paused, hesitating for a brief moment as she tried to gather words to her lips.

As much as she wanted those from Grimoire Heart pay for the death of their guild master, war would not be the smartest idea as it would bring many deaths of hundreds and thousands of innocent people, including the mages and themselves. Even if war had broken out, the question still remains – who benefits from all of this death? In fact, the guild master of Grimoire Heart was most likely on an entirely different level compared to themselves but if the other guilds had decided to assist them, just like Chelvaric had stated, it would be another case. Nonetheless, if all of them had made a decision to go war against their enemy guild, then she would most likely follow the idea as well.

Finn's silence had seemingly been noticed by a few of his guild members, and that was something that the older of the pair had at least noticed. He flashed Alisa and Snowflake a doggie grin, appreciative of them. There was obviously something going on in the blonds mind. Whatever was happening behind the scenes though, his eyes showed no sign. Instead he sat there silently, listening to the words of those around him. They were his guildmates, and they all deserved a fair say here. With that silent appreciation for what they brought to the literal and metaphorical table, he sat in anticipation and listened to their words.

Alisa went first. She was likely hurting at the moment, and that much Finn knew and appreciated. He knew little of her relationship with Lance, but he understood that she had a closer relationship with the master than many of the members. To say it was closer than Finn had been with him or not would be ridiculous. They each had a meaningful understanding with him, and that was part of what made him such an outstanding guildmaster.

Chelvaric spoke next. His words had almost been mistaken as passionate, but that didn't seem to be the case once Finn actually locked onto what he was saying. His idea was very driven by some form of risk and reward scenario. The risk to leaving the dark guild be was greater than the risk of trying to deal with them once and for all. It made sense, and it was a relatively logical way of thinking about it. Still, his entire plan was dependent on the other guilds. It was brash to assume that they would help. Not that the good intent was there, but it was now obvious that the dark guild was targeting individuals. It would be smarter, though maybe not wiser, to defend themselves where they had the advantage rather than trust relative strangers in war.

Then Snowflake spoke. She did not get into the politics of the situation, but it was obvious that she was trying to think logically. It was actually appreciated that there were at least two here who could relatively separate their emotions out. Still though, it didn't make things easier. Finn felt like he was expected to speak here. His silence was almost palpable, but eventually he decided to push through it.

"I think that we should focus on rebuilding... Once we get strong enough, I'll kill them all." He had not been at this point before, so it was as new to him as it likely was to them. He had a calm demeanor, and that made his words that much more venomous. He meant his words, at least for the time being, and that was a potentially scary thing indeed.

Before she could begin on the big bad question, Chel raised another point; each individual attack. She had faced one, and had already heard Snow, Chel and Finn had each faced others. They'd need to exchange as much information as possible about the Grimoire fighters, so they could be prepared the next time the two guilds went to war. Hopefully not soon, but time would come eventually.

"Indeed I was, and we should address that subject as well.", answered Alisa with a nod, right before Chel expanded upon his view.

His came off as a sense of moral justice, not openly driven by revenge but out of a desire to keep the Grimoire mages from wreaking havoc elsewhere. She couldn't help but smile a little at his pure hearted passion, at some level wishing she herself could be that selfeless, as she really wasn't. The fight against Grimoire Heart was now a personal matter, another grudge she had to bear.

Snowflake's views were cold and to the point, simple retaliation, an eye for an eye. This was the closest to Alisa's own opinion, which she'd share momentarily. Truly it felt like Snow and herself really thought alike in matters like this, yet the icy beauty already had the sculptress beat in influence, if not actual power. She sipped another bit of coffee, before her gaze finally fell on Finn.

She'd never seen him this mad, understandably so...

That purity of spirit she always admired about him had now been thoroughly twisted towards unyielding, furious vengeance, in what Alisa imagined she herself might have looked like when she decided she'd wipe out every dark mage she could find, one by one. It took her a good few years to actually start pointing all this killing intent on at those directly responsible, but for all she knows, it might just be a phase of grief one has to go through...

She didn't know how, if or when Finn would learn to cope with this, and how many he'd kill in the process. She cared for those caught in his onslaught, but she did care of his well being: "Indeed I agree that heads must roll, even if we focus on rebuilding first... In the meantime, we should collect as much information about Grimoire as we can, gather whatever allies we can find. What we need is not war, but assassination; simply disposing of Grimoire's master.", she stated blunt and matter of factly, with the frigid, calculating gaze of a hitman. Someone who could keep a clear head even when fighting a hated enemy... True to both herself and the Master's last wish, she had no plans to make her move until she could all but guarantee victory, even if she had to rely on Grimoire Heart's inevitable conflict with Phantom Lord. She grabbed a packet of sugar and held it over her coffee, "He doesn't need a fair fight, or going out in a blaze of glory. He doesn't even need a shameful death. All he needs is to be erased..", and with a quick, almost symbolic rip of the little paper packet, she poured the saccharine goodness on her drink.

As they'd let each others opinions sink in, Alisa reclined on her chair, uncrossing her legs then crossing back the other way, then brushing some of her hair behind her back. She took her coffee as Chel's earlier question popped back into her mind, took another sip, and then asked:

"On the subject of information; what can you tell me about the opponents you fought?", she inquired, her eyebrow raising slightly, "I defeated a green haired man who called himself Lucifer. Greenish hair, handsome, about my height. He used a form of Satan Soul Takeover, but I'm not really sure what it does, as I didn't really give him a chance to use it."

Chelvaric Walderkat
Chelvaric listened to Snowflake as she was next to speak her mind. As always he seemed to be sort on the same page as her. Although she only wanted to kill the guild master. It was smart to leave them leaderless but on the other side, it was a dangerous thing to do with crazy individuals. What if the guild master was the only thing that actually kept them in check. They could go on rampages alone on random locations and that would be harder to deal with them when they were all located in one place. He didn’t really trust the blond mage his decision as he seemed very taken back with what happened. He wondered why death was just the circle of live a new beginning. He wondered if that was his own thoughts or that of the nature spirit. They sounded quite cruel to him and not like how he was before. It seemed that Alisa agreed with talking about their aggressors and he nodded to her in thanks.

Since Finn was the last to do his word the discussion would start from here on out. He listened carefully to Alisa but he didn’t agree with her on the last points. He found the first point she made logically and good. But it seemed her and fin were thinking more in emotional than in a rational way and that could lead to bad plans or irrational decisions. Although her eyes seemed cold and detached. But something felt off to her reasoning and her cold look.

I agree on that we should rebuild and we should send out people to the other guilds to find more information or see if they had clashes with them. In the meantime, we can ask them to join our cause. Well, we normally should be able to demand it, we good guilds are supposed to defend each other in a time of need.”, he took a break and took a deep breath before he continued. It also gave them time to think about what he said before he continued.

I think it’s a bad idea to just kill the guild master. What if the other mages then go lone wolf and do acts of terrorism throughout of Fiore. When there scattered they will be harder to find, harder to know where they will strike. You would basically make them spread like a rat plague and so many innocent people could die for nothing but revenge. We are not like them anything we do should be because of the good for the people and not out of personal interest. Of course, I want to see them get paid to for what they did to us. But more for what they have done to our city and the innocent people living their daily lives here.”, he ended his speech and drank a good bit of his drink before ordering another one. He had emptied his glass already because of the amount of speaking that happened. Alisa then asked what information they could give about the mages they fought. He would leave the werewolf dude to Snow as he mostly fought against the water mage.

There was a water mage as far as I could see she didn’t have offensive spells. She did have a fire dog with her that could spew a nasty bit of fire. What about you Finn?”, Chelvaric asked to him trying to pull him more into the thinking process instead of leaving him alone to his thoughts. He seemed to be drifting to a solitude place.

Beyond The Sun & Stars

Thoughts occurred in her mind yet, the female left her doubts unspoken as she sipped onto a cup of cappuccino that was located in front of her by the waiter. She’d mouth the word ’Thank you’ while the waiter nodded in appreciation before scuttling away to tend to other businesses. The female blew the fumes of heat that rose from the cup and took a sip, savoured the taste of it on her lips, the warmth of the coffee spreading within and quickly to the rest of her body, which soothed her like no other. She quietly listened, to the opinions of each and every single one of her guildmates. It seemed that most of them were all on the same page – at least in the idea of returning the favour to their enemies. For now, rebuilding was the most important, just like Finn stated.

”But, are we strong enough to assassinate their guild master?”

The woman gazed down at her cup of cappuccino, her words directed to no one in particular. It wasn’t an issue of confidence, rather, it was something more akin of her habit to over-think things and simply put, she was very much inclined to believe that even with the four combined, they might not be able to defeat the guild master, yet. A soundless sigh slipped from her lips as she picked up her cup and took another sip once again. Regarding the subject related to the opponents they had fought, the female took a long moment to reminisce on her battle alongside Chelvaric. She allowed her teammate describe the details first before taking her turn, after taking note of Alisa’s description.

”Yes, we fought against a water mage and a blood user…” The woman trailed off, recollecting her memories as she rubbed her chin in contemplation. ”The man looked similar to that of a clown’s appearance, just more sturdy and he was very observant as well….very analytical.” She nodded, after trying to search for the right word to describe the man. ”He wouldn’t answer my questions, nor did he tell who he was,” she added, and uncrossed her legs only to cross them again on another side.

Finn crossed his arms. As they spoke, his mind raced through. He was fairly confident that the woman he had engaged with had been Grimoire Heart, but at the same time had he really engaged with her? He never knew that she had showed up for aggressive reasons, and indeed it was only Jake being analytical and defensive for Finn that the woman was knocked out. But what if it was without reason? There was no saying for sure that the woman was of the enemy guild. Where Finn found confusion, Jake found reason.

"There was a woman, tiny and long black hair. She had a sword almost as big as she was, with a hole missing out near the tip and a crescent indent along the actual sharp side of the blade. I'd never seen anything like it before. But I knocked that ladies lights out before she began attacking, so we're not sure if she was actually a part of the enemy guild." He wouldn't get into the details of the woman coming onto Finn, or being a sloot. Instead, he'd nod his head sagely as if he had just imposed great wisdom upon them. Finally, Finn spoke.

"We need to rebuild..." It killed him to speak those words, to be a voice of maturity. A paw shaped foot found its way to his outer thigh, kicking him gently as if to edge him on and give him comfort. Jake really was the best older brother he could have ever asked for. "I've seen some of their higher up members before..." His mind flashed to those last moments in Era, of the sleeping spell or whatever it was that had knocked him out. He remembered the feeling of the men arriving, and in those last moments, Finn felt as if his life had been spared. Not even due to him being knocked unconscious. They simply had the presence about them of individuals with zero openings.

"Even if I were to go in there with Jake and go all out, I don't think we'd make it out alive." The words sounded overly confident, pompous even. Still, coming from him they carried the weight of someone who knew his own limitations and how he stacked up against the rest of the guild. He honestly didn't believe they would win a war with Grimoire Heart, and the risks involved for a joint effort outweighed the small chance of success. Finn's hands at this point were clenched into fists, squeezing tight enough to turn the knuckles white. "I won't let you all die as well."

Different reasons as they may have, none of her guildmates seemed confident with any plan involving simply assassinating the Master of Grimoire Heart. Understandably, as they knew next to nothing about this individual not even if he had indeed been the one to take Lance's life. One could easily assume it had, but if not, any plans for revenge suddenly became a lot harder. Chelvaric, righteous as he was, wouldn't really agree to a course of action that allowed countless Grimoire mages to roam free. She somewhat expected his reaction when she suggested it, but also hoped a sudden power vaccuum within a dark guild would give way to internal strife and likely result in weakened fighting strength:

"Yet waging war will also cause heaps of collateral damage, and plenty of it in our own guild if we were to do it unprepared... Of course, all of these are just ideas; none of us comes close to the kind of power of someone who could defeat Lance, and who knows how many more of such fighters they have yet unknown?", noted Alisa, sipping her coffee. Fortunately, no matter what different ideas they may have as to what revenge truly entailed, every one of them agreed they needed to rebuild and grow stronger first, just as Master had wished. As they did it, they could gather information on their enemies and seek allies among fellow Light guilds, or just about anyone with a grudge against grimoire heart.

Even Finn agreed with this, and she could only imagine how hard it must be for him to admit it. How could she not believe the strongest fighter in the guild when - after having met one of the enemies - stated he wouldn't survive the battle? For Alisa, this was enough to let the subject rest for now. She already had some training plans for the next few months (or years), to hopefully raise her power as much as possible before anything like that.

"And I you.", touched by his resolve, Alisa couldn't help but express her own, looking towards her teammates as well as she once more reaching for his arm and nodding decisively, "When the time comes, we'll take them on together, alright?"

At some point, she honestly considered hunting after this person on her own, making her move when their guard was down. But between hearing the Master's last wishes and looking at her friends' faces, she couldn't bring herself to act so selfishly... As they shared information, Alisa learned how there was a pale woman with long hair and water magic, as well as a calculating red haired man with clown makeup. She commited this info to memory, paying most attention to the magic and fightings styles; as those were harder to chance than appearances.

"You can't really trust your enemy's words anyway...", Alisa noted dismissively; even if the man had said anything, he'd have most likely lied about the really important information. Dark mages don't usually live long when they're truly open about themselves. Which left only Finn. The man himself didn't answer, leaving it instead to his canine brother. However, it appeared Jake had beaten this person for different reasons, as such never got a chance to confirm whether or not she was an enemy. Alisa memorized the description either way, "Well, if she is part of Grimoire, we'll find out about it eventually..."

Which left only one urgent topic they yet had to discuss... Alisa folded her arms under her chest and took a deep breath, furrowing her brow. She knew herself and Finn were the strongest members of the guild; with Snow and Chel not too far behind, assuming neither of them had already surpassed the supposedly strongest two. She wouldn't make a very good guildmaster, and althought tempted to vote for Finn, she knew him well enough to understand he'd enjoy it as much as she would, if not less so:

"But, what will we do about the election... One of us four should take that seat, and I have no doubt most of the others will also vote for someone in this room...", she thought out loud, glancing between her friends as her coffee as she finished what remained of it, then leaned slightly over the table...

Chelvaric Walderkat
Chelvaric took a sip of the new drink that the waiter brought. He had listened to Snows explanation and he wouldn’t have added anything more meaningful than what she already had mentioned. It was a fairly good explanation after all. Next up was Finn’s fight which didn’t sound hard as he had knocked out the person fast and swift, well his mut did it who knew that those blasted beats were good for something. The dog took word but Chelvaric didn’t really want to listen to it so he just focused on his drink and didn’t look much to its direction, his tail went straight up and his ears went flat showing a hostile approach to the situation. He knew the dog was fins mate but he couldn’t do much about it, his natural instinct was just too strong. Now he wished the meeting would be fast over. He didn’t want to spend too much time near the dog after all. Alisa went on and said that they would just rebuild further and that seemed the only conclusion they received for now. He still found it the worst idea possible but if the other’s wouldn’t see if he couldn’t do much about it. He could still gather allies while they were busy doing other stuff, no harm in that after all.

He agreed with the words from Alisa you couldn’t trust any of the enemies words as they could be trying to spread miss information and that could do more harm than good. It seemed that Finn and Alisa were close to each other as they didn’t want to let each other die. He knew Finn meant it well but since he understood nature so clearly his view on death was more relaxed than ever before. When a deer got killed it was a sad happening but its body would feed the wolf cups and it would keep the circle of life going. In turn when they would die it would leave things behind for other people to pick up and go on. Although that being said would he truly be so relaxed if Snow would die, he nodded in agreement to them pledging to not let them die either.

After that she suddenly mentioned a vote for a guild leader, it took him by surprise but it seemed to be a rational thing to do at a time like this. “Yes we do need some leadership so that everything can get a decisive decision and it would help with coordinating the rebuild. But how do we elect a new guild master in the end? Can we really say that any of us is prepared for the job, I think not but whoever it becomes we all four and the beast should help them and advise them as much as we can”, Chelvaric said. He didn’t know who would be best but he would vote on Snow for now as she would make the most calmest decisions of them, Being emotionless would be a great asset when being a guild master.

Snowflake

Beyond The Sun & Stars

Each one of them would describe their enemies as much as they possibly could remember and how they had fought. In all honestly, when Snowflake had encountered her enemy, she was not aware that they were members from Grimoire Heart – not to mention, their reasoning for attacking them until she was notified of the words sputtered by their guild master in his last breath. The creature that remained by Finn’s side, which she assumed was his companion, highly impressed her with the level of maturity it had. In fact, she was surprised that it had the ability to speak since it wasn’t often that one would have companions that could communicate with their owner.

”Neither will I.”

The female spoke, a weak smile growing on her lips as everyone promised each other to protect one another. Blue Pegasus had given her a new meaning to life, an entirely different outlook on people and she was learning; much more about herself and those around her. The guild was all that she’s left and those seated in front of her were her only family – the only ones that mattered to her. Friends are an amazing gift in life, aren’t they?, she found her inner self questioning her and she couldn’t help but agree. ”When the time comes…” She repeated Alisa’s words and looked over to all her guildmates, her determination growing stronger with a new resolve. With a little bit of support and encouragement, it seemed that the atmosphere had clearly lifted up compared to when they had entered the café.

”Hm, the election.”

The young woman lifted her cup to take another sip from her drink, only to realise that it was empty. As much as she needed another cup to wake her senses, she decided not to make any further orders. Regarding to the election, she reflected upon the abilities of each one of her teammates and it was no doubt that Finn and Alisa were the strongest ones in the guild but would they feel different upon receiving the title? – she wondered. ”I’ve already made my decision.” She began, glancing over to Finn then, Alisa and Chelvaric. ”My pick would be Finn or Alisa.” Both were known as the oldest members of the guild and can be easily recognized as the powerhouse of the guild; one who deserves to be the ace; hence, she figured she didn’t need any other explanations for her choice of selection.

And thus, they all had a pretty good idea of what they'd be next. They could all agree on what rebuilding meant, but not so much what 'getting stronger' meant beyond the whole, work out and get powerful. To Alisa, this meant knowing more about her enemies so she could eventually assassinate their master without breaking a sweat. To Chel, it meant gathering allies. And she didn't even know exactly what hidden meaning it held to Snow or Finn, neither of them were the type to openly share it unless they had to, that was, assuming they even had an idea to begin with. Which left them with the whole election business to deal with it:

"It's not about electing the most prepared.", Alisa stated as wisely as she could muster, answering Chelvaric as she crossed her arms and turning her head down for a instant, "But rather choosing the least unprepared."

A smart person would understand how these two weren't the same. None of the people here were the least bit prepared or ready for this. There was nothing they could do about that, things were what they were. All they had left to do was to deal with them as they came, and right now, dealing with them meant selecting the best among them. That said, Snowflake's words made her cringe, and she knew Finn well enough to understand he'd like the idea as much as she did. They were both lone wanderers who followed their own path and wouldn't simply become chained down.

"Being the strongest two doesn't make us the best leaders...", Alisa noted, her unease showing in her smile even with her trying to hide it. She didn't want people to follow her, or even gather around her at all. But she also didn't want the guild to follow into disarray. She looked into Finn and nodded as their eyes crossed, their thoughts would all but completely align as the girl uttered her next words, "I'll cast my vote for you, Snowflake. You're the most well known among the four of us, and could very well be stronger than either of us already. You'd make a good Guildmaster."

Her smile widened the longer she spoke, Alisa already understood this was a good idea, but liked it better and better the longer she vocalized it.

Chelvaric Walderkat
Chelvaric drank a bit of his milk tea and waited for the others to do there talking. This had turned out to be a whole ordeal about the guild master instead on having a decisive answer to the Grimoire Heart problematic, they weren’t unrelated of course and it did make sense that they would pick one now. Alisa her standpoint was valid and he had to give it to her she had a good mind for turning around words. But his point was still valid as how he was going to choose. Not that Snow was that prepared either but at least she had some points he could vouch for if it was needed to explain why he picked Snowflake and he did have to make it clear that he didn’t do it because he was in love with her. To be honest the last thing he wanted to do was put her in a position where she was in more danger than anything else but she would be a great guild master he just knew it.

He waited for them to cast the votes it seemed Snow wasn’t going to vote for herself but voted on Finn and Alissa instead. He guessed she didn’t really see guild master material in him. Well, he wasn’t the strongest of them anyway so he didn’t really mind it that much. He put his drink down and started to talk as it seemed to be his turn to vote.

I pick Snowflake for Guild master, she keeps a cool head in a fight and is quite strong so I think she would make a good master to us”, he would say to them and nodded with a smile in the direction of Snowflake, trying to reassure her that she'll do a great job if she would get picked.

He should train with her sometime soon as he needed to become stronger too. He couldn’t be left behind in the guild and needed to push forward to greatness and give the other members a safe feeling if they were going to protect them. They were after all the Quadro of Blue Pegasus.

Snowflake

Beyond The Sun & Stars

Now that Snowflake had casted her vote for the guild master position, she would lean back into her seat and awaited the responses of the rest of her guildmates. As the snow haired woman pressed the cup against her pink lips, she’d gulp down the final drop of liquid before she found herself spitting coffee back into its cup immediately, after hearing both Alisa and Chelvaric’s choices of selection. The female froze in her movements for a brief second, wondering how she should respond to the entire situation. Getting herself picked for the position was something she had least expected and she felt that Finn or Alisa might be best suited for the title – but, perhaps she was wrong and apparently, they had different opinions.

The youth sank back in her seat, her shoulders slightly drooped and from her lips, escaped a sigh of exasperation – clearly doubting of herself of whether she was suitable enough for the guild master position. Surely, being a leader was something she wished to become and it was not as if she found her abilities any less than average but receiving the position of becoming a master was something else. Snowflake wondered if she would be able to operate the guild by herself; but, it was when she realised that she wasn’t alone. After all, there were reliable guildmates and friends seated right in front of her that she could ask advice for any time. With such amazing friends backing her up, there wasn’t anything that she couldn’t do, apart from killing the master of Grimoire Heart – which would take quite a while for them to prepare.

Confidence rushed through her veins and the cloud of darkness faded away from her vision. The young woman sat upright, and the features on her face showed nothing but decisiveness. ”I understand.” She paused, a brief hesitance in her words before she added, ”I shall try my best to become worthy of the title. If there is anything that I have to learn, please, do assist me in trying to better myself as a person and as a guild master.” With that, she concluded her sentence with a firm nod. There were still many things that she has yet to learn from now on.

WORDS: 440 | TAG: @BP | CLOTHES

And in the end, everybody cast their votes on the snowy beauty... Of course, Snow looked shocked the moment those words reached her ears, almost as much as she herself did. But unlike Alisa or Finn, she got over it rather quickly, enough for the sculptress' little smirk to widen into a proper smile. Indeed, the whole idea of being nominated for Guildmaster could catch anybody off guard, but the ease of which she adjusted to the role thrust upon her suggested she'd indeed be the right person for the job. After all, a mantle such as this had to be worn responsibly, with a clear mind and clearer goals set in it. If all of this wasn't enough, she was powerful enough to hold down the fort while Alisa and Finn did their thing, wandering aimlessly like they always did.

"I'm sure you will be. And we'll be by your side every step of the way", reassured the dark haired sculptress, before uncrossing her legs as she finished her afternoon meal, flashing the first genuine smile today. Indeed, spending quality time with her closest frieds wasn't something she could do everyday, but she hoped they could soon meet up over a happier reason. For now, they each had plenty of matters to attend to, starting with getting Snow formally elected. Alisa got up and ran her hands down her blouse, smoothing out the flimsy fabric, "Now If you'll excuse me, I have a campaign to run... I'm sure most of the guild will vote for you as it is. But a bit of work on our part should get you a nice majority to work with."

She wasn't exactly running for the Mayor of Hargeon, but the bigger the margin she won by, the more comfortably she'd

handle her new job. At least, Alisa hoped she would, as Snow was her friend long before she'd become her master, and she

wouldn't really treat her any different once she took her rightful place. Alisa dropped a large bill on the table, far more than to pay for her coffee. Enough to pay for all their meals and still leave a little tip for the waiter... And she'd be off before any of them could complain about it.

"I know you'll do great things~", she'd tell Snow, resting one hand on her shoulder before waving her friends goodbye, "See you all later, hopefully not too much later."

Chelvaric Walderkat
Chelvaric looked at Snow as she started to realize that she was picked for the job as the guild master. He was quite sure it would come as a surprise to her and smiled brightly at his team member as he was happy for her that she got such a big responsibility early in her life. These were the moments you didn’t get to choose yourself and was more pushed on you along your way in life. But that didn’t mean he would do nothing to help her. When she said she would do her best and that she could use their assistance he nodded fiercely. “We’ll be right by your side so rely on us when you need too”, he said to her and then listened to what Alisa had to say.

She had a good idea the rest of the guild had to be convinced too that Snow was the best candidate for the guild master position. He should go and find some Blue Pegasus members to get there vote for Snow and with that Alisa left their company and the meeting was basically over. He didn’t want to leave yet but just finishing his drink with Snow while they could relax after the heavy meeting. “Good day to you Alisa hopefully we’ll see each other faster again this time.”, he said to her and waved goodbye.

He turned to Snow and patted on her shoulder. “Let’s relax a bit as that meeting was quite tiring. We should talk about where we should go next. I think we have spent enough time in Hargeon as it is.”, and he took a sip of his milk tea before doing nothing for the rest of the day.

Snowflake

Beyond The Sun & Stars

Snowflake was glad that she had her guildmates with her at the moment, she knew that she would need their support, especially in the near future. She almost felt as if her dreams were fulfilled, and as much as she was delighted upon receiving the title, she couldn’t celebrate for herself, not yet and there was still more to come in the future; whether they were good events or bad ones. But for now, she could already feel the burden of being a guild master on her shoulders but she didn’t want to think too much about it. The female managed a small smile as she stared at the empty spot on the table until Alisa declared that she had something to tend to afterwards.

The snow haired woman bid farewell, followed by a small wave of her fingers to the other female as she departed, leaving a hefty amount of jewels on the table to pay for all their meals that they had. Perhaps, next time would be her turn to treat all of her guildmates. The only ones left at their table was Chelvaric and herself (assuming Finn had already left), and once they were gone, she breathed out a sigh of relief, all the stress pent up in one single breath and somehow, she was restless after what just happened. It was one hell of a meeting, she thought and turned towards Chelvaric who gently rested his hand on her shoulder.

”Yes. I might have to leave Hargeon for a while. I’ve been staying here too long, after all.”

After all the things that occurred, Snowflake just desired to leave the town and perhaps, go somewhere where she would be able to sort things out herself. Besides, she didn’t like staying in a single place too long either, however, she would return to Hargeon sooner or later since she had matters to attend to.
