Jin walked down the streets with his hands in his pockets. The bustle of the town passed him by. He let the flow of people contour to him, not out of rudeness but from the distraction of the lights and festivities. Children ran the streets with cotton candy.

Shops lowered discount signs and loaded small firework canons in preparation for the next big event. "A dark guild huh," he muttered as he looked dot the sky. The glow of the stars peered down on them. The lantern lights reflected the night sky. It was funny to think about the perception of a dark guild and what it was really about.

But today it was about something different than that. Bits of light magic trickled down his arm. His heart weighed heavy at the thought but he had no choice. He smiled and closed his hands. He had to get it off his chest.

"Tell him it's time," Jin said to a man working at a shop. The man nodded without a word and put someone else in charge of the store.

He made his way to a small building that overlooked the rest of the festivities. Once he caught sight of Quilla he would wave her over. He rolled around a small good luck charm in his hands, with a plan already forming. Once Quilla spotted him and she would begin her ascent up the stairs to meet him, he would sneak away to hide.

Her pink hair flowed behind her as her topaz eyes mirrored the beautiful festival that glowed in many small lights. She could hear people chatting along with each other as others held hands. Instead, it was their child, significant other, or another type of family member. Quilla wore her traditional kimono as she wanted to honor the custom as there was sure to be a dance or sending today. That wasn't the real reason she was here, though, as Jin asked her to meet up with him.

Her eyes met with many people as they were putting up signs in their shops, children running around with cotton candy and their masks. So far, she hasn't found him as she has seen many others. Her expression was soft yet calm, more than usual, as she felt anxious, shy, and afraid to give out more emotion than that. Did this have to do with the promise? Her heart was beating faster as she thought about it and her conversations with her friends about the situation.

She has found out about this feeling she has been having, and the advice she was given will be considered. Her eyes suddenly shined as she saw him in some building that required some stairs as he was waiting. A string was stuck on her heartly harp as she walked towards where he was but didn't see him at first. Was he hiding from her for some reason? Quilla slowly walked up the stairs and looked around, "J-Jin?~" she questioned anxiously. This place was small, so where was he? She bit her lower lip as she wondered if her new hair will change anything that happened between them. Hopefully not.

He snuck up behind her and placed a hand on her hip. His chest pressed against her back. "Follow me," He said and slide a good luck charm into her hand. He turned away and started back down the steps.

"We don't want to be late," he looked back over his shoulder at her with a wink and rushed down the steps. A ball of light conjured over his shoulder. A move she was familiar with. The tiny ball of light would trail behind the paladin and act as a guide in case she lost track of him.

He maneuvered through the crowd and into back streets that were all headed back to the river. He made sure to keep glancing over his shoulder to make sure she was still with him. If she spoke anything he would give quick answers but all with a warm and somewhat devious smile.

He climbed up a small tower at the docks. The night sky made it hard and nearly impossible to see them. The small bouncing light would vanish as Jin ducked down. A few guards patrolled by and he held his hand out to make sure Quilla noticed and was aware that they were not meant to be there.

"Almost there." he put his hand on the first rung of a ladder that led up a tower. The tower overlooked the duck and the few boats that remained.

Her heart skipped a beat as she felt a hand on her hip and his chest against her back. It reminded her of the night she slept close to him for comfort as hers was against his. As she was about to speak, she was suddenly given a charm-like object and wondered if this was what he was talking about in the Temple. She made a small smile as she felt silly thinking something else. "Late?", she wondered confused as he started to leave with a trail of light behind him for her to follow. That much was obvious. Her eyes wandered as she was motioning through the crowd with her light feather feet as she finally got to the back streets.

Her eyes randomly met his as he looked back occasionally, making Quilla feel warm inside once again. So much was on her mind as the moments she was going to speak, they were quickly gone as she wanted to make sure she wasn't going to follow behind. Where were they going? Her eyes spotted the small tower that were by the docks as the night sky devoured the sight of it. As soon as she got close enough to tug onto his sleeve, the light went out as she ducked with him immediately. Was this some sort of game? That's what she was thinking till she saw some guards.

Sneaking around? Her eyes motioned to look at him and then the guards. Suddenly, her attention was taken as she saw his hand being held to her which she saw as some sort of signal. She stayed quiet as she just nodded in fear of being too loud. Swiftly, she followed as the ladder was next, but how high were they going? Was there going to be something on top of the ladder? Her curiosity peaked as she held onto the charm, he handed her earlier tightly in her grasp.

"Alright let's go up," he smiled and began to climb to the top of the small tower. he looked down from time to time to make sure she was still safe, even though he knew she would be. His hair blew in the wind and fireworks burst in the distance. They were the warning shots that the real show was going to begin soon. The flash of light washed over her face.

"Just like a thought," he said with a smile, knowing that she would look perfect in the reflection of the fireworks. "Almost there," he said and pulled himself up onto the top of the tower. A beam led out over the ducks with one cruise ship pulling up the anchor. He snuck to the end of the beam. There was one guard hut atop with them.

"Can you keep a look out," he asked and began to tie a knot in the rope. "There will also be a man at the bottom that will shoot a flare gun in the distance and that's our signal." Jin began to tie the knot as the guard in the hut was about to begin patrol, leaving Quilla to deal with the situation.

Jin tugged and fastened the knot down, holding a long line of rope in his hand. Below them, the cruise ship was protected by a few guards that worked the docks and a couple that patrolled the ship

She felt like a lost puppy as she just followed him due to being trusting and unknowingly loyal. Her large brown eyes gazed upward at him as she followed upwards until she heard fireworks. Quilla's eyes brightened and enlarged at the sight as she took a moment to look upwards clearly to see it all. That was till Jin spoke up to her as she swore she heard him say something before telling her they were almost there. Once they got up to the top she watched him sneak to the end of the beam as he had to be careful. Looking out before he even said anything, she made sure that he was safe and no one will catch them in the act.

If she had to, she'd knock the guard out with her strength, but only if it was necessary. Thankfully, she watched as some kids were trying to get on the ship itself, distracting the guards. "I think we're okay," she softly spoke in her cool tone. Her hair flailing slowly as her long bangs getting in her face. She leaned against anything to support herself as she watched Jin and then the guards as she waited to do what needs to be done next.

That was with the flare gun was shot.

"Alright, Now to enjoy ourselves," he reached out to grab her hand and pull her closer to the edge. A knotted rope swayed down hovering over the back deck of the boat. "Promise...it'll be worth it. Once we get down there, we need to sneak down the first hallway and down the stairs. There will be a door waiting for us," He looked over her shoulder as he heard the ladder rustle behind them. The looked back to his shoulder to see the bouncing ball of light still with him..."Whoops. Guess I forgot about that," he gave a breathy chuckle as the guards had no doubt seen the tiny ball of light atop the tower.  

"There's no more time," he hugged her and slide the rope into her hand. "I'll meet you there. Down the first hallway. Down the stairs. There will be a door, and next to it will be a ladder that drops into the water. I'll meet you there, so you can help me up. Don't get caught," he pulled away from her with a wink, as more guards climbed the ladder. He traded spots with her and walked back toward the guards.

"Oh and their should be a wine cabinet on the way. Just in case. Be safe." he smiled and turned to cut off the guards before they could see her. Jin stood on the edge of the beam as the guards slowly reached for their guns.

"Oh cruel world...this is the end for me," the light around his shoulder faded away and Jin stepped off the ledge, plummeting towards the water. The guards rushed to the edge, fully concentrating on the mage that was falling.

"This is gonna hurt," Jin whispered to himself as he smacked into the water, splashing it into the air. He spiraled upside down and back again with water filling his vision. He flailed to regain his composure and held his breath. His ribs ached and his mind was hazy. But he saw the boat and knew where to swim to. He couldn't cast any healing magic just yet, as eyes may still be on him. Not until he got beneath the boat. He swam until the was beneath the vessel and headed toward the ladder.

She listened to him, word for word as she stayed silent. Some were instructions on what they were going to do as she felt him grab her hand. Her eyes flashed to it and then back to him as she was curious where this was going to go. Suddenly, he had to go as he hugged her close as she felt a weird sensation every time, he was close to her own body. Was this really the word the others told her about? She shook her head as she had to start doing what he instructed as she was kindly distracting the guards, so they didn't see her.

Once she got where she needed to go, she followed down the first path down the hallway and then down the stairs. Her eyes didn't have time to really look around due to feeling the need to hurry. "A door, right..." she spoke to herself quietly as she looked around and saw the door Jin was talking about and opened it up. She stopped for a moment and wondered something. Where were all the guards from the inside?  Were they all outside? She quickly turned around as her topaz eyes met a flash of light. "Anyone here?" she heard and saw there was a door next to her, so she hurried in there. A guard came to the door and then suddenly heard something upstairs and left.

She looked around and saw she was in some secluded closet and opened the door to see the guard go upstairs. She closed it quietly and turned towards the place she needed to go to meet Jin. "J-jin?" She whispered as she looked around while crouching by the ladder that was already down and ready for him.

Jin swam beneath the waves. His arms pushed against the small current as lights shimmered across the water. He submerged beneath the boat and made his way to the far side. Dolphins and giant turtles brushed by the light mage. Part of the teeming wildlife that lived in the clear waters.

The rungs of a ladder bobbed with the boat. He smiled softly in the water, still holding his breath as long as he could. She had made it there even quicker than he thought. His hand wrapped around the bottom rung of the ladder. Pink hair glistened above him, through the water and lights overhead. He gasped for air as he pulled his head from the water and flung his arm into the hallway.

"You...made it," it spoke through labored breaths, still taking in as much air as he could. He climbed onto the boat and let his back hit the wall. Aches and pains trickled around his body from the impact with the water. "Not my smoothest escape." he reached his hand for hers if she would help him up. "Thanks for coming all this way with me. Only a little farther now." he stood up with water dripping from his soaked clothes. Heavy droplets plodded the ground behind him. water sloshed out of his boots.

Seeing her continue to be there for him, made his heart beat a little faster. And despite all the dangers and running, she still stayed beautifully dressed for the event. "It's right over here," he nodded his head towards a final door, that looked like it would be well locked but the door handle slid open easily. Steps clattered on the floors above them, as someone was headed for the steps that would lead them down here.

"The guards...well let's just say we're not supposed to be here," he quickly opened the door and if she let him, he would pull her in, just as the guard was coming down the steps. He eased the door shut. In his hurry, he had pulled her in and hugged her against the wall. Their bodies pressed against one another as the door shut softly. He kept his breathing low as the footsteps of the guard stepped by the door and turned in a circle.

The room led down some stairs and opened into an underwater room. The top revealed the sky above to see the fireworks still but had a dome that protected anyone from being able to look down into the room. It jutted out behind the boat. All manner of sea animals swam by the windows. It was a room meant for someone else. Someone that had been long held up at the festival and the boat was moving out into the waters.

Everything was happening so fast. There she was helping him up, supporting him the best she could without harming anyone and now retreating to some room with the man she had feelings for. Jin escorted her, as she was willing to follow. Although, it may seem she wasn't paying attention, she was listening to him word for word. She just wasn't sure what to say at the moment and was afraid she'll attract attention from the guards. Quickly, Jin pulled her towards him as he opened the door. Shutting it, he next hugged her as her bosoms was squeezed against his wet chest, getting her own clothes wet.

Quilla didn't mind.

Her head lowered to rest against his strong chest and closed her eyes, peacefully smiling. She could hear the thumps of his chest as she was enjoying every moment of the quietness. She used to be quite tall. Taller than him, but after going to a woman to become younger, she was now shorter. She liked this, but only because she was able to do things like this. In that moment she finally let go to then look behind him, catching the scenery of the ocean view. Her eyes sparkled like a child seeing something so astounding. Her eyes slowly looked up at him and gave him a genuine sweet smile before letting him go to look around. She first went to the window that blocked her from the water. Her hands pressing against the window itself as her eyes watched all the wildlife live their lives freely.

"It's... so beautiful," she commented and then turned around to look at him with a happy smile while tears of joy came from her eyes. The water life she feared when she couldn't see it but loved it more than anything when she could.

"Is this ours for the night?" she wondered and then looked back at the view. Her brain clicked as she realized he was probably cold, so she hurried to run and get some towels and handed him some. "S-sorry, I should've done that first, but I just got so lost in the moment," she gazed away and blushed. Seconds later, she turned away and gazed upward to see that the fireworks were blazing, and eyes lit up like stars to the beautiful scene of water, life and fire.

Clothes dampened between the two as his water saturated shirt bleed against her. Jin looked toward the door an listened, making sure no guards stopped by. But his mind was distracted by the pressing blossom against his body and the warmth that radiated from Quilla. The woman's body heat, cast away a bit of the frigid cold waters that Jin had been drug out of.

His attention turned back to her as he felt her head rest against his chest. A smile swept his face, as he stroked her shoulder. Finally, they truly had a moment of peace together. He was still getting used to her new height, but ti didn't bother him in the slightest. It just made her easier to embrace.

"Glad you like it," he said as her eyes sparkled up at him. His hand slid from her shoulder as she explored the room around them. Jin looked back at the door once more and flipped the small lock, to ensure privacy. or at least warn them if they were going to be apprehended by guards.

Tears ran down her face, but they were signs of joy. Jin placed his hands on his hips with a grin. "I thought you may enjoy the view. Yeah I worked out a deal with some of the workers. The person that was supposed to be in this room, was held up for business in a nearby town. So its just for us," he replied and wrapped his arms around his upper body as heat left his torso. The cold waters and sloshing clothes dripped from his body. Water trailed behind his few steps, deeper into the room.

"Don't worr..."he was about to say when Quilla was already running off for some towels. With a light chuckle he accepted the them, "Thanks.And don't worry about it. It's nice to see that I picked a good spot for you to enjoy," he replied to her blushing, and was already taking of his shirt. He tossed the bundle of wet clothing to the side of the room, and began drying of his chest. The way she blushed sent his heart into a flutter. It was always alluring to see some of the effect he could have on her, and wondered if she realized she had the same on him.

Fireworks burst overhead and cast multicolored light into the room. It danced and distorted through the water like rainbows and star showers. All of it illuminating Quilla. Jin placed a hand on her hip from behind and pulled her gently against him. His chest laid against her back. His hand swam to her wrist. "Do you remember that time in the cave. I talked about my good luck charm," he smiled with a breathy exhale from his nose, and waited to see if she remembered.

"Back then you didn't realize that I was talking about you."

It was just them, the two of them as the thought made her heartbeat nervously. As he approached her, her eyes watched his every movement. What was he going to do? Her mind wasn't working the way she wanted it to as it couldn't think of the possibilities. Her innocent nature in this manner was high as she was not very experienced. A slight chill went down her spine as she felt his hand on her hip and felt something heavy against her back. Her eyes watched his hands snake to her wrist as he spoke the time when he talked about his charm.

"The item?", she wondered, but he answered soon after with the answer making her cheeks light up red. "M-me? But..." she stuttered as her heart beats harder, making her loose her breath for a moment. "But... I'm sure your luck is better put on something more worthy," she gazed away as her canine tooth bit her lower lip. Her brown eyes looked left and right confused. "I'm not even a regular human, why put your luck on me?"... she mumbled quietly as she gulped hard. She was bad luck, Akuko even knew that as she was the cause of Akuko's death as well as many others.

The chill that ran through her body, sent a slight curve to the paladin's lips. He was glad to see she didn't pull away from him. That he wasn't too late for this moment to happen. Her cute stumbling was just like her. He figured she may have never made that connection. Something that made her all the more attractive. He held her, like he wanted to that night at the castle.

"A person doesn't choose what brings them good luck. In the same way, we don't choose our feelings or the passion that stirs between us. Emotions pull us how they will. And I don't intend to shy away from it," he spoke with a soft tone, keeping her close still.

"Not even a regular human??" He questioned as if it was an odd thing to even consider as a barrier. With a free hand, he brushed her hair to one side, so his lips were closer to her soft skin. "What does that matter?"

Her eyes looked away still as her cheeks were pink. Her facial expression was soft but expressionless, otherwise like an Asian doll as she was still dressed in her kimono. "I suppose you're right..." she whispered loud enough for him only to hear. Shyly, she leaned into his arms, like the cool feeling of his breath brushing against her skin because his lips were so close to it. "I'm afraid to cave in to this feeling," she admitted softly as she gulped nervously. "I'm not always so calm," she paused as she tried to think of the right word.

"Sane," she blinked a few times as she turned over, so they were now facing to face. Her eyes looked into his, head tilting so now her chest was against his. Now her arms were around his neck as she worked up the nerve to do so. "As many put it, I have a lot of baggage," she chuckled with a half-amused smile. She thought about all her troubles with the Joyan Nobles and Royals as well as her own mentality and personality. What if she turns out killing someone when the time comes and he berates or even leaves her due to something she does that is a normal for her? She feels fear yet envious as she thinks of different things that could be.

Quilla bit her lower lip as part of her feels like she should shut up and enjoy this moment. The fireworks kept going, the sea creatures swam around them as they normally do while here she had Jin wrapping his arms around her. That magical night at the castle cellar, this is what it reminded her of. Ever since that day she questioned a lot of things and learned. "Thank you," she rested her head against his chest as she will just let him experience it all through time.

He swallowed as she leaned into him. Her soft body pressed gently against his own, he relished in the subtle supple squish when their chests met. Giving into what they had, was a bit of hesitation for her. The same shyness when they were laying on the bed together in the castle. Her arms snaked around his neck, in an intimate contradiction to being afraid as if she was torn between two powerful feelings.

"Don't we all," he replied when Quilla said she carried a lot of baggage with her. "I doubt many people end up in our guild that don't have a troubled past lurking for them," He gave a sheepish smile at her hesitation, knowing that he came with his own sets of problems too. He ran his hand to her cheek as the woman bit her lower lip. Lights flashed into the dim light room from the fiery burst above. Dancing lights reflected off the sea life that swam around them in their seclusion.

His hand swam down to her lower back as her head rested against his chest. A gentle tug, would draw her deeper against his body. He placed a hand beneath her chin to softly bring her face up towards his. His lips inched forward, only a breath away from hers. "You have nothing to fear," He replied with his lips gently grazing against hers with the last few words.

Each soft motion of his breath spoke words that she fully paid attention to. His sheepish smile was cute and leaned her face into his hand. It felt warm, comforting and was afraid to look into his eyes as she felt his touch. It made her body feel weird as she was unsure how to describe it. This night was beautiful, this moment was beautiful as her heart could go into a panic attack at any moment as it'll burst. A sudden tip of her head made her look into his strong gaze as he came closer to her. Her eyes wavered as she became breathless at the moment his lips touched hers, closing her eyes with a single tear dropping from her right eye.

As she experienced this motion, she felt a million things. She could see her whole future, a future she wished to have, but at a sudden she felt her darkness engulf her and saw a part of her that she wished not to release. Even if that was what her future will be, she will enjoy this present. Quillareine's arms tightened the embrace as she deepened this 'kiss'. She has tainted herself. She has broken the seal with what normal people would normally as if nothing will happen. Her eyes slowly opened and looked at his face while her right hand lifted to cup the side of his face, smiling warmly. She assumed he did it because he likes her, but was this also love? Were his feelings strong like hers? She didn't want to ruin the moment and ask. Poor woman was a little naive in this.

His heart beat against her bosom as she deepened the kiss. The hand on her back pressed in tighter and ran across her slender figure. The hand that had brought her face to his, glided through her hair and trickled down the side of her neck. The joy he felt at her acceptance of his passion was felt through the intimate dancing of his lips to hers.

She pulled away, only enough to look back at him. This time her hand cupped his cheek. Gently he turned his face to plant a soft kiss on the palm of her hand. "Now, that's a kiss." He whispered to her and swooped her waist to press her back against the nearby wall, without much force. He knew she was a little inexperienced in these matters and didn't want to be to overcome.

He ran his other hand to meet her free hand that was at his cheek. His fingers would interlace with hers, and ease the back of her hand against the wall and above thier heads. Thier palms pressed together beneath the starlight and fireworks. There were a few things running through his mind to say, but all his thoughts were of her. Something easily read in his eyes, especially with how much time they had spent together on missions in the past. Jin was always an easy book to read.

"If we go any further...You'll end up stuck with me for good," a serious statement spoken with a typically cheeky smile.

Things were going so fast, a small collision of her back to the wall as she felt him put a small distance in between them as they were. Her eyes looked away, blushing as she kept her face in the same position. She was truly not experienced in this and she was unsure how to express herself. She has already sinned, but thankfully did not do the biggest sin of all. As there was a small moment of silence, she had time to think, was he truly feeling the way she was or was this out of pure passion of the moment, as some say?

Gasping for a small amount of air as she felt their palms intertwine, her heart thundering loudly with each pump while their eyes gaze at each other. The words he spoke made he feel something she did not quite understand the meaning of. All she did understand was that she will end up stuck with him for good. That's what her inner demon wanted, right? She wanted him, just him and for him to be hers alone. No one will be allowed to have him, to get close to him and if she did see anyone or find out that anyone tried anything with him... What will she become?

A demon?

"F-further?", she stuttered as she asked cluelessly. "I thought we sealed it with the kiss...", she spoke innocently as her eyes fluttered away while her pupils were looking the opposite of his eyes. She gulped nervously and then started to squirm into a struggle, face going red as she assumed the wrong thing perhaps. "I-I mean, I..." she was lost for words as the only sound she could hear were their breaths and the sound of the water life outside of the boat, all else was mute.

Heat ran through his body as he felt her heart pound in her chest. Her body pressed against his. Her stuttered words put a smile on his face. It was interesting how much combat she had seen and how far she had gone within the guild and yet, so unaware of these natural moments. Her next sentence proved that she was either playing coy or genuinely didn't know. Either way, his response was the same.

He let his face drift to her cheek for a kiss and released her hand. "Sealed what exactly," he answered her back with a question of his own. Although he asked it in a tone that implied he already knew the answer but wanted to hear it from her. He had been on the run for a long time and never really settled down. But this moment with her, held a sense of security with it.

his other hand slid down to gently cradle her hip, letting her pull away...but not too far. Leaving the distance open for her to close it if she wanted. "If we are going to be together then you should know...that I can't have children...at least not as I am now."

The feel of his strong hands against her hip was settling as she didn't want to pull away from him. Touch wired her desires, but she had to hold onto those for awhile. She listened to every word he said as they were simple to understand. Thankfully, all he had to say about himself was the fact that he couldn't have children, not the way he was. What did that supposed to mean? Quilla didn't care what the meaning was as she had adopted one, plus, with what and who she is, she shouldn't have actual children anyways.

"That is fine by me," she whispered hotly as she approached him, heart beating slowly yet hard. She swayed her hip a little to position herself closer so she could lean against his body to share warmth. "As long as you're mine, we don't need any biological child for a long while," she assured. Perhaps they will see how their relationship will bloom, or fly off.

"Oh," he replied shocked by how easily she dismissed it as a potential problem. All this time he had worried about that getting in the way of any important relationship he could have with someone and she dispelled it with such ease.

Her sultry approach was just as much of a surprise. As if she had found some new confidence in passion and who she was now that they had confessed their feelings for one another. It was a side of her he enjoyed. His hand ran across her arm as her hip nudged closer to him. "Well if that's all you want. It's an easy request," he replied and pulled her around. One hand on her leg he slowly turned the both of them toward the large couch and eased her back down onto it. Her leg still gently rested in his grasp, keeping her steady.

The couch was big enough for both of them to gaze upward at the fireworks bursting in the air or each other. "I hope I'm not too forward. But once I know what I want, I don't often hesitate," he said as he looked at her as his partner in this whirlwind romance they were building.

It was always a mystery to see how she would respond, but that's what made it so intriguing.

Her heart was still beating wildly and was still unsure what to do or say. Her anxiety existed at this time, and she tried to go along with his movements accordingly. His hand that was going across her arm made her shiver and she was wondering if he was trying to engage in something more. She has heard stories of it. His hand was on her leg and huddled into him for safe keeping. She gulped innocently as she gave a shy smile. She yawned softly, covering her mouth with a free hand. "Just... remember that I still believe in purity of my body, there are limits for now..." she whispered softly in Joyan as she didn't mind playing around, but the actual deed will have to wait.

Her back went up against the sofa as it was soft and clean. Her hair sprawled out as it rested with her. The eyes of the woman gazed at Jin as she gave a sweet smile, "You're... my first romantic interest - anything... I'm not sure what to do or say..." she expressed her worries.

Her innocent gulp served to remind Jin of her life and history. More importantly that she had not been with a person in this way before. He couldn't help but smile back and rest his head softly against hers, "I'm just glad you know what I feel. All those silly times I tried to flirt with you that drifted by unaware," He pulled his head away to look at her eyes, "I began to think you thought I was always joking about it."
